Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas 'Ki Tavo,' and starts with the instruction to give the first fruits of ours for HaShem.
As soon as we enter Eretz Yisroel,we are reminded whose World this is.We are all sojourners on this World, but all was and is made by HaShem and all belongs to HaShem.
The very fact that we are to give our First Fruits to HaShem is an acknowledgement from us,that what we have is not ours but belongs to G-D and the result of the labor we put into things is a Blessing from HaShem. The fruits of what we help cultivate,is our reward from HaShem. We must never think, that only by our own hand,do we have bounty but by HaShem does all come - 'Tavo.'
Israel is a very Blessed land and HaShem smiles sweetly on this land and blesses this land with bounty. We live in a very physical World.A World that is filled with physical pleasures. When things go well,we forget that it is by HaShem's Hand that we receive and some start to think that their efforts alone are the reason that things are bountiful. From the moment we enter into the land,we are reminded that all comes from HaShem and not to be too physical and think that we did it on our own.We didn't.Only through G-D does all things come. The more physical things one works with, like the land, the more one needs to be reminded,to look above that physical thing - the land -to look above the physical,at HaShem's Blessing behind all things.
So at the first moment we enter Eretz Yisroel,we are told that the first bounty and blessing, belongs to The Holy One Blessed Be He, Who Gave it to us.
The beauty, joy and color of the procession that people would make in Temple times to the Temple,to bring their first fruits, was a sight to see,as people would come with their baskets of specifically set out fruit in procession with others and they would be met when they arrived and would be led to the Temple. The declarations they would make in front of the Kohein and the site of the Holy Temple would instill in them a memory to last through centuries. The travelers that would bring their fruit would be invited to stay overnight in the Holy vicinity of the Holy City,to take in the beautiful spiritual experience of the place they are in ,so they could carry it back home with them making their very hometown a place that now carried the spiritual feel of the Temple. From the very first moment that these farmers would see their first fruits growing and from the very first moment that they would tie a ribbon on those branches that were holding the first fruits of that specific tree,to the holy travel to the Temple, was a continuing experience of this single mitzvah of Holiness,in fulfilling the Will of HaShem and bringing us closer to HaShem.
This is the underlying meaning of our Mitzvos ,for each Mitzvah that we do ,helps us spiritually and Physically 'Tavo' - 'Come' to HaShem. Each Mitzvah we do brings us closer to HaShem.
If we read the first verse of this Parsha that talks of bringing the first fruits,'Ki Tavo,' - 'When We Come,' to the land,it is not just the land we will be coming to,but we will also be coming to HaShem, for this is the most special Blessing we can receive for each Mitzvah we do.
The very fact of acknowledging HaShem as the Creator Who is responsible for everything beautiful we get ,as this specific Mitzvah of bringing the First Fruits gets us to do,brings within us the preparation for us to return to Gan Eiden, for if we all can finally realize that HaShem is all things and gives us all things,we can enter into the time of Moshiach when we can finally come to 'Ki Tavo,' HaShem. This is hidden in the words 'Ki-Tavo,' which Gematrically comes to 439 and 4+3+9= 16 where 1+6=7 ,which is the same Gematrical number value of the Hebrew word 'Mashiach.'
Also,if we take the Hebrew letters of the word 'Ki Tavo,' and rearrange them,we get the words 'Koteiv Yah,' which means 'Write of HaShem' or 'HaShem Writes,'which means that if we follow HaShem's Mitzvos and write HaShem's Laws into our hearts and souls,HaShem will write us into His Book.At this time of year when we approach Rosh HaShanah, where HaShem judges the world, this is a good time to make an acknowledgement that we will follow His Laws and so keep His Laws in our hearts so,HaShem will write us into His Book of Life for the good.May we all be written into the Book Of Life for a peaceful healthy and sweet happy long life.
The entire Torah and all its Laws, stand as the pathway to 'Tavo,' - 'Come' to' HaShem in closeness and love. All we need to do is set ourselves, our hearts and our souls on the right path of Torah and 'Tavo,'- 'Come' Close to HaShem. It is in our hands. It always has been.
Let our every action be 'Ki Tavo,' - 'When we come,' to HaShem and let our every thought be of love for our Creator Who has given us so much and Who deserves to be acknowledged for what we have.
May we all make ourselves worthy to finally say 'Ki Tavo,' - 'When we come,' to HaShem for HaShem has been waiting for us to come to Him all along.
With love to our Most Precious HaShem,I wish You a Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with precious love and to all, a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.
