Our Parsha this Shabbos is 'VaYigash,' which means 'Then/And he Approached,' and is when Yehudah approached Yosef to defend Binyamin.
The Parsha starts with a 'Ve'. Which shows that what was before is linking to what is about to be mentioned next.Just before,Yehudah was told,to go up in peace to Yaakov their Father, when Yosef had said that only Binyamin must stay. And then Yehudah approaches. So something in these words made Yehudah take action.Yehudah knew that he could have been the one to have saved Yosef all these years ago,but instead knew,he was the one who went to his Father and brought to his Father the coat of Yosef stained with blood, asking his Father to identify it,knowing how this would hurt his Father. He was punished when he lost his own 2 sons and Tamar coming to him with similar words when he accused her of having become pregnant. He knew that this action to his Father, had taken away his Father's peace and he never forgave himself for his sin. Now,that he was faced with having to go up to his Father and tell his Father that another precious son, Binyamin would now taken,he just could not handle that.So he courageously 'Approached' Yosef.
When we have done something wrong, the action sits with us and remains with us until we make it truly right.Only when we are truly ready to make it right then we can be truly sorry and repent for it.Then and only then are we able to have a clearer conscience and 'Approach' HaShem for forgiveness. If we leave it and ignore what we did,the very entity of wrong that we create, sits with us and reminds us repeatedly at different moments in our lives,of what we did.
Within the word 'VaYigash,' is the word ''Gisha,' which means 'approach or access.'This shows that to approach and be forgiven we need to have access to approach. What does this mean?
This means that if we wrong HaShem or we want to approach HaShem for something ,we first need to look at ourselves and see what HaShem has asked us to do and ,if we are not doing it,to ensure that we work on ourselves to do what HaShem has asked us to do ,for our own benefit,so then we can be deserving of HaShem's attention to listening to us.Then we will have a more open access to being heard.
Sometimes, things happen in life to cause us to sit up and take notice and come to HaShem.HaShem has many ways of calling us.Sometimes those ways can be subtle and other times those ways can be very obvious.Either way,we need to respond with giving of ourselves to HaShem's Will and not just our own will and ways of wanting to be.What HaShem needs us to do for Him,is for our own benefit. That is the beauty of HaShem.
HaShem is there all the time to listen. It is for us to 'Vayigash,' - 'Approach,' HaShem .We need to take the initiative as Avram did when Avram came to HaShem early in life and HaShem added a part of Himself to Avraham. In Gematriah,Avram's Name comes to 243.243 is 2+4+3='9'. 'The word 'VaYigash in Gematriah comes to 319 and when we add the word 'Eili' (Gematriah value of 41) so as to make the words 'Vayigash Eili,'-'Approahed My G-D,' we get 319,+41,which totals 360.3+6+0='9'- The same value as Avram's name ,who approached HaShem,on his own.
So when we approach HaShem in truth ,we must forget ourselves and our own needs and wants and do what HaShem has Commanded us to do.When we do this,HaShem will live within us as HaShem did, with Avraham, when HaShem added a part of Hinself to Avraham's Name ,when HaShem added a 'Hei,' to Avram's name.Avraham's name in Gematriah comes to 248 which is the same nunber of Positive Commandments in the Torah, showing us also that when we approach HaShem,we are to approach HaShem ,doing what we are Commanded to do as His Creation.
HaShem is there to listen. We just need to learn to speak and go in HaShem's Way and not ours.
HaShem desires us to approach Him and HaShem desires us to be close to Him.Just reach out your soul and HaShem will be there.Let us spend the rest of our days, reaching out to HaShem, approaching HaShem the Way HaShem(Who knows best). Tells us to do.Every second HaShem gives us ,is for approaching HaShem.Let us use our lives wisely, not just for ourselves, but for HaShem and all HaShem Creates.
I wish HaShem with love a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.
We work to keep Jews Jewish and teach Torah and Yiddishkeit .We are also a Counter - Missionary organization that works within the Jewish Community to ensure that not a single Jew is lost to missionaries and cults (Chas Ve Shalom).

Parshat Miketz
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parshat Miketz. Where Par'o has his dreams and Yosef is released from prison and made viceroy over Egypt.
Our Parsha tells us that it was two years to the day ,so on the exact day that HaShem chose,Yosef rose to power. The word 'Miketz' - 'At the end' shows that at exactly the time, not a minute later,Yosef was to be ruler in Egypt.
Yosef had spent many years in prison and also a slave to Potifar and waited so long to be free. But only that the time appointed by HaShem,'At the End' - 'Miketz,' of the time ordained by HaShem, was Yosef quickly rushed out of the dungeon, dressed in finery and brought before Par'o.It all happened so quickly exactly at the time it was to happen and not a minute sooner or later.Though Yosef so pleaded to be let out of the dungeon, going as far as asking the Cup-Bearer to remember him,he still had to wait till HaShem said 'Miketz,' - ' At The End,' - now it is time.
This shows that HaShem still rules the world. We are not in charge of it.We are not the Creators of it.But we can make it better by our own actions.
Sometimes, when things get rough we hope HaShem will come and save us.Our Jewish people have suffered so,for thousands of years and for thousands of years we have prayed for Moshiach and the 'End Of Days,' yet still,we wait.We look around and see that this world doesn't appear to be getting any better and we cry out to HaShem as our ancestors did, when they were tortured and burned and gassed and killed,"When is Mashiach coming, when is HaShem going to come and save us and bring us and the world around us,peace." How often did our people cry and plead for Mashiach, but still,we wait,as Yosef waited, through this long and bitter exile. When will the light come. When will peace come. When will HaShem come and save us.How much longer will we wait. How many more of our people will be hurt (Chas Ve Shalom) by our enemies before we are saved. Before our ever so long prayer is answered.
HaShem is watching.HaShem knows all.HaShem knows the 'Miketz'- 'The End,' and there will be an end.How do we know? Because HaShem told us in the Tanach. As HaShem warned us that we need to keep His Shabbos and Commandments and not stray to other ways that are not Torah.Ways that ,though look and are designed to appear as the path to follow, are actually paths leading away.HaShem gave us His Path to follow in Torah. This is the way to go.The sooner we all as Jews follow what HaShem wants, the sooner the 'End'- 'Miketz,' will come.It may appear as though it is taking so long, but when HaShem brings our 'Miketz,' it will come like a flood,as it did for Yosef.
We are now in the beautiful midst of Chanukah where HaShem saved us, when we finally stopped mixing into foreign beliefs and ways and returned to our Holy Ways and lit the Holy Oil.This is a time when we need to rid ourselves of contamination and beliefs that are foreign and purify ourselves for HaShem. It was then that HaShem saved us then and it will be when HaShem will save us now.HaShem will provide His Sweet Light and Miracle, if we are vessels of purity and holiness. As HaShem saved us then,so will HaShem save us now and bring on the final 'Miketz,' - 'End,' with light.
Our enemies smile now as they have before, but as Parshas Miketz teaches us,even their time will come, like it did for Egypt and its rulers,as it did for so many that hurt us.But it will be in HaShem's own time, when HaShem knows when it spiritually needs to be.As I said,we can bring the 'Ketz'. (From 'Miketz') - 'End' closer by changing our ways and returning to HaShem and His Torah.Failure to do that, will bring more reasons why we will need to.Let us not wait for that and do our own part in making ourselves and our surroundings Holy so that HaShem will want to dwell with us and so that the ' Miketz'- 'The End,' can come.It will, whether we do the right thing or not,but let us rather not let it come the hard way.For when HaShem chooses to bring it when we have not earned it,it will be a cleaning and purifying and removal of bad in a stricter way as iron is burned in the furnace.
It is time we trusted HaShem and not strange ways. For that trust in HaShem will bring about the 'Miketz' at an earlier time. Our Rabbis say that had Yosef not asked the Head of the Cup -Bearers to help him and tell Par'o. Earlier and rather trusted that HaShem would let him out,Yosef may not have had to spend that extra time in the dungeon. The same goes for us.Let us do the right thing HaShem's way and follow HaShem's Laws and not other foreign ways and beliefs that started out in unholy ways(Chas Ve Shalom) that profess to get people there. They will not work and only delay others too.Drop unholy ways.drop unholy morals.Drop foreign ways that are not Torah and return to HaShem in His Truth and let our faithfulness in HaShem's Laws and Ways be our guide from now on.If you are not keeping Shabbos, start now.If you ate not keeping Kosher, start now.If you are not learning Torah and following it,start now.Make a special decision today to do what HaShem wants and make HaShem happy and smile from today onwards when HaShem looks upon you.,May the "Final Miketz" come in our Days. And may we all be granted to sit under HaShem's loving presence and be at one with HaShem.
With love to HaShem I wish HaShem with love,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Happy Chanukah and to all,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Happy Chanukah.

Parshat VaYeishev
Our Parsha this Shabbos just before Chanukah is Parshas VaYeishev where we read about Joseph going down to Egypt and how this leads to Jacob's family going down to Egypt ,where we became slaves and HaShem took us out afterwards with our beloved Moshe.
It is interesting that the Parsha is 'VaYeishev,' - 'Settled' when it is actually about our people leaving our home in Israel and going to a foreign land. This is not 'being settled.' This sounds more like being 'unsettled.'
In Yiddishkeit there is a concept that the date of the start of a tragedy is the date of the tragedy in History where it is felt the worst. We see this in the burning of our Temple which started on the 9th of Av and continued into the 10th of Av.The 9th of Av is the worst point when this terror began and so,it felt the most painful.Afterwards, people tend to get used to heartache after a while hoping that it will not get any worse, yet it is actually as bad as it can be,when our Temple burns. The reality is that pain is pain. This is why HaShem does not want us to be slaves to man and why a man or woman who chooses to continue servitude, when his freedom is due,is not looked up on very highly. This was not to be the case with our ancestors in Egypt, who were to never get used to the slavery but to constantly beg for freedom.People must never sit in a habit of hardship ,but must work toward rising above the problems that to try pull them down, always seeking to climb in Holiness toward HaShem. The same was for our ancestors in Egypt. We were never to mix with the Egyptians or follow their evil ways Chas Ve Shalom but to seek freedom.Never were we to fear being saved, as some of the people felt, when they constantly complained to Moses not rock the boat,in case the oppressors would make the hardship worse. That is when is is already too late. But still, the beginning of a hardship is the worst part .The same goes for positive things too.The start of us as a Jewish people, began when we went down to Egypt for it was there that we truly became a nation-a settled nation of Jews.Note the words 'going down to Egypt,' as it was literally going 'down' to a place of a low spiritual level. At the beginning of us going down to Egypt, the Parsha starts with the word 'VaYeishev' - 'Settled,' for ,as the start of this Parsha hints ,'Vayeishev Ya'akov B'Eretz M'Gurei Aviv B'Eretz K'na'an,' - 'Jacob settled in the land of his Father's sojournings,in the land of Canaan.' It was thus, now, that the spiritual settling into being a nation of the Jewish people began.
The Parsha verse continues, "Eileh Toldot Ya'akov Yoseif ben Sh'va-Esrei Shanah Hayah Ro'eh Et Echaiv Batzon,' - 'These are the chronicles of Jacob:Joseph,at the age of seventeen, was a shepherd with his brothers.'So we see here that this was the chronicle beginning of the forming of a nation, our nation of Israel that would come out of Egypt, back to the Holy Land as Children of HaShem.
Within these words is a very interesting thought. It says that Joseph was a shepherd with his brothers. The word 'Et' also means 'To' so it can also be translated as 'Joseph at the age of seventeen was a shepherd 'to' his brothers.'It would be Joseph who leads them on the path to finally becoming a nation. But more is meant here. Our Rabbis tell us that Joseph would bring reports about the brothers to his Father Yaakov. These reports were never to hurt the brothers but Joseph, who spent more time studying with his Father than the rest of his brothers, took it upon himself to do his best to keep up the spiritual level of his brothers so that we would remain a holy people. This is a sign to us all. Each and every Jew is responsible for their fellow Jew to make sure they work up toward HaShem. We all have this obligation to be a shepherd to our fellow Jew and also our fellow human beings,to teach them the correct and moral way to live. When we can all do this,we will be truly 'Vayeishev,' - 'Settled' for if we help and raise the level of every Jew and person, then HaShem can 'Vayeishev' - 'Settle' within us all and we will each be a home within, where HaShem can 'Settle' and 'Dwell.'
This is what HaShem has wanted all along since the very beginning of Creation. We therefore need to do Hashem's Will and Commandments so that we can finally make this world a place where HaShem can dwell and settle - 'VaYeishev.'
This starts, with each one of us going out from our comfort zones and bringing others, with love,to HaShem's beauty.A holy person is a fragrance to the world around them, where their sweet smell permeates the very air around them and draws them to HaShem. This is what Joseph did.He left his Beloved Father's house and went 'down' to the lowest spiritual place on Earth at the time -Egypt.' And brought HaShem's Holiness within him that all around him noticed,by his moral and holy ways.He did not change and become like the people around him.He was not tainted by it,but remained a faithful shepherd to HaShem and our people. So is the same expected of each one of us.We each have it within us to remain true to HaShem's Will.Never must we let our surroundings make us into something HaShem would never want.To be truly 'Settled,' is to be a Home where HaShem can Dwell and 'Settle.'
This is the right path of the servants of HaShem. This is true freedom. As we approach the miracle of Chanukah and light our Chanukiah let us draw down the very light of Heaven and make a true 'Settled' place where HaShem can Dwell and so,experience true freedom with HaShem within us.HaShem wishes so dearly to shower us with love and light. All we need to do is open ourselves up to HaShem as we did on Chanukah and HaShem will 'VaYeishev,' -'Settle,' within us.
HaShem has always saved us in so many hard times.HaShem is there, waiting to 'Settle' within us.All we need to do is Hspeherd our people, all people and keep HaShem's Commandments.May the time come that all Jews can finally settle safely in our precious Home Eretz Yisrael and may the time come that HaShem can settle within each one of us.
Wth love,I wish HaShem a beautiful Holy Shabbos Kodesh and sweet Chanukah with love and to all, with love,a sweet Holy Shabbos Kodesh and vreiliche Chanukah.

Parshat Vayishlach
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parshat Vayishlach and begins,'Vayishlach Yaakov Malachim Lefanaiv,' - 'Then Jacob sent angels before him,'
Can one imagine that a man is so Holy that he can send angels to fulfill his need.So Holy was Jacob. The Parsha directly says that Jacob sent them before him to his brother Esav. Our Rabbis say that Angels for inside the Land of Israel attended Jacob as he came into Canaan and the angels that watched over him outside Canaan left him.
The Parsha starts with a 'Ve' in the word 'Vayishlach,' which usually shows in Torah that what comes,is linked to what has just been before it.We just read that Yaakov had just separated from Lavan,a man who was spiritually powerful in a negative way and Jacob survived him with HaShem's help,so the 'Ve' that starts our Parsha shows to Eisav that if Yaakov could suvive Lavan,he could certainly survive what comes next, the meeting with Eisav. This was a sign to Eisav that HaShem is with Jacob against anyone and Eisav should know he would not prevail against his brother Jacob. So Jacob sent angels,to his brother Eisav and Eisav certainly realized that Jacob could be beaten.
But how can a man become Holy enough to have angels at his command.Aren't angels only subservient to HaShem. This very Parsha teaches us that we can have angels that can help us if we ask.But HaShem would only put angels for us to listen to us if and when HaShem is sure that we will only do actions L'HaShem Shamaim,' for HaShem and the sake of Heaven. There must not be a single part of us that wants to do things for ourselves,as to command the power of angels is a great power to command. When we do good,we are still human beings and so,we need to reach a level where all we do is for the sake of Heaven for HaShem. Our Rabbis tell us that when we do a Mitzvah we make an angel that will stand for is in Judgement on our side. How true that is.So as such, doing Mitzvot for HaShem gives us Malachim - Angels that can watch over us.To do a Mitzvah is one of the greatest ways to protect ourselves, but the Mitzvah should not be done for our sake at all but purely for the sake of HaShem and the Mitzvah to do good.HaShem gave angels to be at the command of this very Holy man Yaakov, because everything he did in his life was for HaShem and his children and us.He did not have a selfish part to him at all and spent every moment of his life praising HaShem with his every breath. This is a man whom HaShem could surely trust to put Malachim to be guided by him.
HaShem did not put us here to merely just serve ourselves.HaShem created for each of us a world around us so we can bring HaShem into it.We are here to serve HaShem and not ourselves.True,we have an obligation to better ourselves too,but that must be with the intention of serving HaShem and the greater good.HaShem is always all around us and within us.We are the ones who are to connect the physicality of all around us,to HaShem,The Source of all.Never must we forget that we are here to serve HaShem.
The Parsha says that Yaakov sent Malachim 'before' him to Eisav. We know that angels were there and went ahead of Jacob to protect Jacob and his family but why the word 'Lefanaiv?'If we look deeper into this word,we get 'Le' Panaiv' - 'To My Face.' Whose face is hidden in these words. It is HaShem's Face. When Yaakov did HaShem's will and when we do HaShem's will,we create spiritual pathways to HaShem and our very good actions are 'Lefanaiv' before HaShem's Face 'Vayishlach' - 'Sent to HaShem via the angels we make by our Mitzvot. This is how high a Mitzvah can reach. This is how high doing HaShem's Will can reach. This is how high we can reach.
But we first need to do everything we do for HaShem's Sake purely for the good.
Yaakov, who had become so Holy, had literally become a vessel for a Part of HaShem to live within Yaakov. To Yaakov, there was nothing else, but HaShem. This is how we are to be.Here for the very sake of HaShem and Heaven.
Yet even though Yaakov knew this,he still prepared,by setting out the camps in a safer way. This was so,even though we may think we have done all we can,we should still not take it for granted that HaShem will automatically save us ,thus relying on a miracle. We must do what we can to protect ourselves and have the Emunah - Faith that HaShem wil help us.To just rely on HaShem, without us doing anything,is not humble, but shows we think we are so great Chas Ve Shalom that the Almighty HaShem will just automatically do it for us.No,this is not how we are to be.We need to prepare ourselves with Mitzvot that are done for HaShem's sake.
Let us start right now, following HaShem and His Commandments no matter how we feel about it ,for then it is truly for the sake of HaShem and Heaven.
With love to HaShem,I wish HaShem a beautiful sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parshas Vayeitzei
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parshas Vayeitzei where Yaakov leaves Be'er Sheva and heads for Charanah. On the way,Jacob has his very Holy dream of a 'Sulam' a 'Ladder' with angels going up and down on it.
Our Parsha is called 'Vayeitzei,' which means to go out from or depart. It does not just mean Yaakov's physical journey from one place to another but also Yaakov's spiritual journey upwards in Holiness. The entire Parsha is of this theme, like the ladder which Yaakov dreamt of.This is the same as our lives and where we choose to take our lives. Will we make the life we are given by HaShem one of growing higher spiritually or waste each breath HaShem gives us,on meaningless physical pursuits that have no lasting value. The word 'Sulam' - 'Ladder' also means 'grading' which again shows how one's choices can help one better oneself if one continues on to the path of HaShem.
The ladder that Yaakov saw,was endless,as is HaShem's Holiness an endless pursuit to climb toward. There is always space for betterment and more goodness and. Kindness.G-D is beyond the infinite and our path to Holiness is never ending. One can never say one has reached one's full potential as one can always climb higher and be a better person.
But inorder to do this,we must first 'Vayeitzei' - 'Leave behind' who we were,to change to the better, every moment we are given-to climb above ourselves ever higher all the time closer to G-D.To stay static and not improve,is akin to not living.HaShem gave us the breath of life and that breath of life is an eternal chord that pulls us closer to HaShem with every move we make,if we decide and choose to go toward G-D.That choice is ours to make as HaShem told us in the Tanach,'Choose life and live,' - choose HaShem and grow higher and closer to HaShem every day and we will be 'living.'This is true living and true use of HaShem's breath of life.
We know that people are not eternal right now (right now,as in Olam Hazeh - this World, but will be eternal in Olam Habah - The World To Come ) but we can spiritually help our soul live eternally by 'living' - growing each day toward HaShem and so,we will live as HaShem wanted us to live ,bringing ourselves into eternity and Olam Habah. The world as it is now has physical boundaries where life ends in the physicality ,so we need to constantly look to our children to carry on the light for us .Yaakov knew this, when he set up twelve stones around him before he slept (representing his twelve sons and the twelve tribes ) to see if his sons could be holy enough to carry on the journey of Yiddishkeit to holiness and when he awoke, they had become one stone showing that his sons would carry on as one,the singular oneness of the holy journey toward G-D with the singular purpose of serving G-D as One, together.
So,to climb higher every day and live,we need to keep leaving the static of being satisfied as we are and grow and climb every moment toward holiness, going out from - 'Vayeitzei' ourselves at every moment and climbing up the 'Ladder' toward HaShem.
We notice that in Yaakov's dream,it mentions 'ascending' before the word 'descending' when it describes what the angels are doing on the 'Ladder'.This shows, that when we climb to HaShem,we must first make that choice to climb and not to stay down and though we may sometimes backtrack a little bit,we must carry on as we will continue to rise and climb higher toward HaShem.
In the first verse of this Parsha,it says that Yaakov 'headed for' 'Charanah .' It does not actually say he reached it at this stage but at a later stage. The word. Charanah in Gematriah comes to 263 which is the same as the word 'Garas,' in Hebrew, which means 'To Study.'Here is a sweet hint of how to come closer to HaShem. We cannot ever reach as High as HaShem, but through Study of His Torah and Commandments,we can climb higher every day up the spiritual ladder towards our precious HaShem.
Yaakov saw Angels -Malachim on the ladder ascending and descending. The word 'Malachim' also means 'Messengers,' and can relate to each part and experience of our life being a message that assists us to climb higher and overcome that which we need to overcome so we can rise toward HaShem.
Pirkei Avot reminds us that we are not obligated to complete the journey, but we are not free to withdraw from it.Even though we may only climb a little every day,we must remember to climb higher and do more and follow HaShem's loving Commandments more every day and 'Vayeitzei' and 'Leave' our previous level and grading behind,to continue to climb ever higher toward HaShem , so that we may live, for true living is within HaShem.
With deepest special love,I wish HaShem a Blessed Holy Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all , a Blessed Holy Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parshat Toldos
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parshat Toldot and starts with ,'Ve'Eileh Toldot Yitzchak Ben Avraham,Avraham Holid Et Yitzchak,' - 'And these are the offspring (Toldot) of Isaac son of Avraham,Avraham begot Isaac' where the birth of Yaakov and Eisav are spoken of.
We see that the first verse tells us that these are the offspring of Isaac son of Avraham and then repeats that Avraham begot Yitzchak. Why the need to repeat what was just stated? Our Rabbis tell us that at the time, people doubted that Isaac was the son of Avraham and said that the father was Avimelech. So HaShem,in His Wisdom, made the features of Isaac so much like Avraham, that people undeniably had to admit that Avraham was genuinely the Father of Isaac.
Even till today, people try to deny that the Jews are from Avraham. But our Toeah states clearly that Isaac was the son of Avraham and his offspring are HaShem's chosen people from Isaac. Thus the covenant that HaShem made with Avraham, will remain with Yitzchak and his 'Toldot' - 'Offspring.' Those that doubt to whom HaShem gave Eretz Yisrael, need only look for themselves in HaShem's given gift of the Torah to see that Israel is given to the biological offspring of Avraham,Yitzchak and Yaakov.
Right from the very beginning of this Parsha,HaShem shows us that there are two different ways to live. The Torah was of G-D and the path away from G-D.The path towards G-D leads toward G-D.But the path away from G-D (Chas Ve Shalom) leads away from G-D (Chas Ve Shalom) and thus, away from the truth.
The Hebrew word 'Toldot' in Gematria comes to 840 which is 8+4+0=12 and 1+2=3.Here,Rivka had 2 sons so what is the 3? HaShem is part of the birth of every child that gets born, where there is HaShem,a Mother and a Father, thus making '3.'This is the way of all human births. No human birth can take place without HaShem and the Mother and Father that HaShem created,no matter what other religions come and tell you.HaShem is ther at every birth. So,the '3' here in our Parsha of Toldot refers to HaShem, the Mother and the Father. But it also shows something else. There were two sons so again, what was the '3?' The 3 was HaShem who was there ensuring that these two 'regimes' would be separate. This is how it had to be.Yaakov knew this when his brother Eisav asked him to come back with him and Yaakov refused,as these two regimes must be separate. But doesn't separation create a lack of peace, where HaShem wants us to be one?Not in this case, for we must always separate ourselves from that which is not a path to HaShem. That is true peace. But why would HaShem want to separate the children of Yitzchak and Rivka? Right at the very start HaShem wants to ensure that the Jewish People will be totally pure and Holy and G-Dly.Those traits that are not, have no place in Yiddishkeit.
From the very beginning of Creation,HaShem gave us this same choice-Heaven or Earth-Good or bad.The world as HaShem made it has these two choices at all times and wants us to keep a separation - a Kashrut-a Havdallah between Good and Bad,Holy and profane,Shabbos and Mundane. The free choice we live with, thus allows us to climb spiritually and become Holy.We are to lift ourselves out of this physicality and rise to HaShem.
With all we do,there is a choice to do Right or Wrong-Good or Bad.The choice is ours and the result is from the path and way of life on which we choose to travel. It is like two paths diverging in a wood, where only one path leads out of the forest while the other one leads further in.If we take the wrong path, then we go off course only one step at a time, but by the end,the true path is so far away and unseen.Yet HaShem can always be reached,as HaShem always gives us the choice-Yaakov or Eisav.
Our Rabbiis when asked how could children of Avraham have had any negativity, when Avraham had reached such a state of Holiness. Our Rabbis teach us,that Rivka's family were idolworshippers.Though Rivka was totally pure, her family was not and so,to keep her purity and her line clear, clean and pure, the negativity had to separate itself so the Jewish people could be totally pure and so,Eisav too was born. This birth from Rivka came at a painful cost, for Eisav damaged his own mother on his birth, ensuring she would have no more offspring. This can teach us that we are able to make up for our parent's ,if they have done wrong and help them gain Holiness by the way we act.Again, the choice of how we live is ours.
So use every moment and breath that HaShem gives you, wisely and make each one count by traveling with each step we are given, toward HaShem and His Torah, for once each moment we are given has passed,it will never come again.
It is for the sake of our children, that HaShem forgave our aveirah when Moshe pleaded for our forgiveness,So make sure that each and every member of our offspring, leads and follows a Holy Torah life, toward HaShem.
With deepest love,HaShem I wish You Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parshas Chayei Sarah
Our Parsha this Shabbos is 'Chayei Sarah,' and starts with Avraham going and purchasing a burial plot for Sarah. The plot that Avraham bought ,he knew, was the entry into Gan Eiden,a plot he had found earlier, when trying to prepare a bullock for the three angels and the bullock ran into this cave, where Avraham had seen a special light and smelt the beautiful fragrance of Gan Eiden.Angels then, had told him, this was where Adam Ve Chava was buried. This was the Cave of Machpeilah.
We see that in the first verse,Sarah's life is divided into three distinct periods where she had lived a hundred years and twenty years and seven years. Our Rabbis say, that her life was mentioned like this as she was as sinless at a hundred years as a twenty year old and as purely innocent and beautiful at twenty years old,as she was when she was seven, innocent and pure.
One wonders though why ,if this Parsha starts out about her burial, why is it called 'Chayei Sarah,- 'Sarah lived?'If her precious Neshoma went to Shamaim, why is she still considered as living in this world?
This is the way of a Tzaddik and Tzaddekes. They continue spiritually to Bless this world and their goodness and Holiness live on.Thus their spirit lives on and works to raise this world to Holiness.Even though death comes,it does not mean that the person stops working for HaShem. In fact, they continue in their special way and their essence never dies. Also,in the heart and soul of every Jew,Sarah lives on as our Mother for all time, for we Jews come from her.The same is for Avraham, who also passed on and this is mentioned near the end of this Parsha. These two Holy people continue to live on in every single one of us.They, within them, contained the souls of every Jew that would come from them.So great was their Holiness and thus, they continue (even though they passed away) ,to 'Chayei'- 'Live.'Each and every Jew that came from these very Holy people, contain a part of Avraham and Sarah.
Holy people that do HaShem's Will, become Holy spiritual beings that carry HaShem within them and so,they will never spiritually die. They continue to live.
We are all the bearers of their Holiness. What a beautiful sweetness for us all to carry. This brings upon us a very precious responsibility to continue in their path and carry the Torah for HaShem and them and literally become a living Torah within ourselves within where HaShem can dwell. These two Holy giants of Holiness carry us into every generation and thank you to them that we are Jews.We too, need to carry them too,by being a Holy Torah-keeping and following nation so that we can once again bring HaShem down to this world to fill the world with HaShem's Light and Love.
So many have gone on adventures looking for the way to gain eternal life. The answer has been with us all along. If we carry HaShem within us,keeping HaShem's Commandments,HaShem,Who is beyond eternal, will carry us to Eternity in Goodness,Holiness,Love and Light.
So,may we all have the Holy strength and yearning to live Holy Torah lives and Bless and welcome HaShem to this world.
With love,I wish You HaShem a truly special and Holy Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all, with love,a special Holy Shabbos Kodesh.

Parshas Vayeira
Our Parsha this Shabbos is 'Parshas Vayeira,' where HaShem appears to Avraham after his circumcision on the third day,the most painful day, after a Bris.Avraham was sad because HaShem had made the days very hot to help heal Avraham and also,so visitors wouldn't come traveling and thus Avraham,in his pained state would want to give his Chesed,to welcome guests, when he wasn't really up to it and needed to heal.Avraham was sad that he couldn't give the mitzvah of hospitality,so HaShem came to visit Avraham himself. This is where we learn that it is a Mitzvah to visit the sick.
In the very next verse,we are told that Avraham 'Vayisa,' - 'lifted up' his eyes and saw Three men (who were actually angels).
Avraham lifted up his eyes and HaShem Appeared.Avraham was in tremendous pain, but still lifted his eyes above the pain and so HaShem appeared. This teaches one that no matter what one goes through,HaShem is always close and one needs to learn to lift oneself above the hardships and look to G-D,for all is for one's Neshoma's good, even if one cannot always see that while one is going through the hardship.HaShem is always there. So,two ideas, one of 'Lifting up one's eyes,' and 'HaShem appears,' are brought in this Sedra.
If we put these two ideas of HaShem appearing and lifting up one's eyes,we learn, that to come close to HaShem,we need to loft up our 'eyes' above the physicality around us to a more spiritual existence. So many waste and spend their lives pursuing money and wealth and physical pleasures that are just that, physical objects and tools of a physical world one leaves behind.Such wasted physical pursuits of riches, cause one to forget HaShem and to constantly look down at the Earth, waiting to see what the Earth will give to them. They don't stop to realize, that it isn't the Earth that is the source of all living and all things, but HaShem,HaKadosh Baruch Hu,The Holy One Blessed Be He,who is the source of all.We need to learn to 'Vayisa' - 'Lift up' our eyes and look to G-D and G-D will 'Vayeira,' - 'Appear.'
We all would love to see HaShem's Essence, but we are all looking in the wrong direction.HaShem has always been there all along. It is only when we 'Vayisa' -Lift up,' our eyes to HaShem, then HaShem's Shechinah appears in the way we are able to understand.Learn to look for HaShem,by not. Just looking at all that is around us,but looking within. For that. Is where HaShem is to be found. To acknowledge G-D in all things and keeping G-D on our mouth and in our heart always. This physical world is not what it appears.Look beyond it,for the real true world is sweetened by finding HaShem within all things He made.No one can see HaShem, but HaShem's Shechinah can appear to us in a way our spirtual holiness will allow. It all depends on us.Moshe saw the clearest Essence of the back of HaShem, that any person has ever seen. This was because Moshe did not waste his life on physical pursuits and wealth, but always 'Vayisa'-'Lifted up' his eyes in reverence to G-D.While the Children of Israel were concerned with leaving Egypt and removing what was rightfully theirs for all the years of hardship and heavy labor they had sadly been subjected to,Moshe was bringing up the bones of Yoseif to fulfill the word made that we will bring Joseph out of Egypt when we leave.Moshe reached the 49th level of Holiness and Purity and so,HaShem appeared to Moshe.
As our holy forefathers and holy men before, knew to look up toward G-D ,so must we learn from their example ,that physical things and Earthly treasures are actually of no value ,to what is truly real. What matters only,is our pursuit of Holiness and this path is fulfilled by 'Vayisa' - 'Lifting up' our Eyes to HaShem. If we look above and lift up our eyes to HaShem,HaShem can appear to us and Olam Habah will surround us.Let us learn to lift up our eyes to HaShem and HaShem, who is always there will appear to us in His Own Sweet Way.Let us make this world a world in which HaShem can dwell.
I love you HaShem. With love to HaShem,I wish HaShem a Holy Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all,a holy beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parshat Lech Lecha
Our Parsha this Shabbos is 'Lech Lecha,' where HaShem tells Avram to go from his birthplace and all he had come to know and grow up with and leave for the land of Canaan (Israel) .
This is quite a test of faith,to leave behind all one is comfortable with and put one's faith totally in HaShem's hands. This is a true test of faith and love for HaShem. But this is the true start of true knowledge,to leave what one knows and realize that we don't know anything at all.To start out on the path of wisdom, one needs to be humble and be a vessel for HaShem to fill us with knowledge and wisdom.
King Solomon, in Proverbs 8:22 ,says of Wisdom,,'The L-RD made me (wisdom) at the beginning of His way,the first of His works of old.' So the pathway to HaShem starts with leaving what we think we know and totally following HaShem and His Commandments ,for only HaShem can know what we need to do.That starts by setting out ,from all we think we know and putting our lives totally at HaShem's guiding Hand.
Avram had become a man who had found the One and Only True G-D. And now it was time to teach others the truth. Our sages compare Avram to a bottle of perfume that needs to spread itself outwards by opening itself up to the world outside so that his fragrance could sweeten the world and not just Ur Kasdim, where he was.The Torah is a Tree Of Life to those who grasp it and its branches are to spread over the world ,bringing the light of HaShem to the darkest corners. This we can do,by leaving ourselves behind and becoming a total selfless vessel for HaShem.
But who does HaShem ask Avram (and us ) to do this for?The answer to that is in the very words of the Parsha, for G-D says to Avram 'Lech Lecha,' - 'Go for you.' This commandment to Avram and to us all,is for us.To follow it,brings us closer to HaShem and so,closer to Gan Eiden and Shamaim where we will be ,not only Blessed, but be within the Blessing itself. We need to leave the physical ties of this world and continue ever upward toward Holiness and so,be the Blessing.
But what does it mean,to be within the Blessing? There is a great difference, between just remaining in the same place and doing good for the sake of bettering what is outside ourselves, yet leaving the part of HaShem that is within us,down here and actually lifting the beautiful Neshoma that G-D gives us,to be a part of HaShem and to live within HaShem in forever total peace and harmony and goodness.HaShem Creates for all of us,a world that each of us see from our own perception.Being within the Blessing,is taking that very world and ourselves and lifting it up to HaShem and being at the centre of it and a true part of it.This will bless all around it and so,will the fragrant vessel, that we have opened ourselves to be, to HaShem, raised in turn. But first,it starts with leaving our own wishes and physical wants behind and 'Lech Lecha,' going upward and forward toward HaShem for us - 'Lech Lecha' 'Go for you.'HaShem does not do this for His own sake but for ours. Each one of us has this choice. No matter how comfortable we may be,doing it our own way, only HaShem knows the true needed way ,that we have to travel. So start,by emptying yourself of your own wants and desires, and allow Wisdom from HaShem to fill you and guide you, from His Tree of Knowledge ,The Holy Torah that will return us ,for our own sake,to the beautiful and peaceful Gan Eiden and Shamaim of HaShem. The words 'Lech Lecha,' can also be translated as 'Go to you,' for leaving the physical desires behind, we can find the true essence of ourselves with, that G-Dly spark within, that is good and it is to toward that ,we must go,to the true inner one that is really who we are.
With deep love,as I love you HaShem,I wish HaShem a Sweet and Holy Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all,a holy Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Shabbos Post for Parshat Noach
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parshas Noach. This Shabbos is also Rosh Chodesh. Some of our Rabbis comment on this portion that Noach, who is described as a righteous man,may only have been righteous compared to the immoral people around him in his generation and had he lived in the time of Moshe,he would not have been considered as righteous. Also, that Moshe prayed for the people, unlike Noach, who just built the Ark and concerned himself with his family only and should have prayed for the generation to be saved like Avraham did,for Sodom and the other four cities that HaShem wanted to destroy on account of their wickedness.
Let us look closer at the words in this Parsha for it says, "Noach Ish Tzaddik Tamim Hayah B'Dorotaiv," - " Noah was a righteous man, perfect in his generation." Yes it could mean that Noach was righteous and only perfect in his generation, but if we look at this positively,(as we should always try to do, with other people that tend to quickly judge without knowing all the facts),,it can also mean that compared to the others,Noach stood out above the rest as a righteous and perfect man in a generation that was really very bad. This I feel is a much harder thing to do,to be righteous and perfect when an entire world is not righteous and an entire world mocks us and an entire world will quite happily destroy the ones who are good.I think that this took an immense amount of courage and faith in HaShem.A faith so many lack today, when they stand with those who would rather bully and hurt others that are righteous and unlike themselves.I think that this showed the immense bravery and love that Noach must have had for HaShem.Let us for a moment put ourselves in this Tzaddik's place and imagine how the terrible ridicule must have felt as they stood mocking him while he built the ark.Would any of us have been able to stand up to an entire world that wants to harm us,for HaShem ,Who is unseen.Very few I would imagine. So I consider Noach to be very brave and courageous and most certainly righteous and a Tzaddik in his generation and for all generations. For the message he taught us is to stand up for what is right and good, no matter how great are the odds and no matter how big the adversary. If others around us are doing bad, don't copy them.Stand out and up for the Good and truth of the world and say 'NO.'Be the one that does right and so,you will be the one who saves humanity when others make it deserving of HaShem's justice.Be the one who catches HaShem's attention and the one who HaShem says,'For that one person alone,I will keep all alive.'
Start today to be that one, that saves the world and let this Shabbos and Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan be a new world for you and all around you as you start to be the one who teaches others to keep G-D's Laws in Holiness.
As the Parsha starts with the words," Eileh Toldot Noach," - " These are the generations of Noach," as for Noach who deserved all the world's generations to come from him,for he did as G-D Commandments,so will it be for you,who will deserve the world to come from you,if you keep G-D's Commandments.Let HaShem's light shine out from you wherever you go.Be a true Malach of Our Beautiful HaShem and make this world a place where HaShem can dwell is pleasantness and 'Rest' (which in Hebrew is 'Ma'Noach'.'As from the coming of Noach who gave the world rest and blessing from the punishment of Adam ,where all was abundant again,in the time of Noach,so may we Bless the world around us by keeping the Holy Shabbos and HaShem's Commandments and being moral and truly good.
Stand up and be a messenger to all for HaShem.
I wish HaShem with deepest love ,a beautiful Holy Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov with love and to all,a beautiful Holy Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov with love.

Shabbos Post
Our Shabbos this week that comes just after Succot,is Parshas Bereishis, where the story of the Creation is told. The Torah starts off with ,'Bereishis Barah Elokim,' - 'In the Beginning,G-D Created...' But if we take the words another way,it comes to,'In the beginning of G-D's Creating,G-D Created...' Which shows that G-D was already Creating and then Created us.Our Sages tell us not to ask too many questions about what G-D Created before this,so we cannot know, but HaShem is The Creator and has probably been Creating, beyond and before what we can imagine. What we do suppose,is that this Creation,is the one that finally awaits Mashiach and the End Of Days.HaShem's power is so beyond what anyone can possibly imagine. His Awesomeness is so beyond, that we should trust and listen,to when HaShem tells us to do something. Our sages say that HaShem Creates the world anew every day and so we have a chance, every day to do good and keep HaShem's Holiness. This is how great HaShem's Mercy is.Infact,HaShem Creates this world every second, for if HaShem would stop just for a second Chas Ve Shalom, the whole of Creation would fall apart Chas Ve Shalom. While we are sleeping, while we are having fun ,HaShem is Creating. Our sages say that when HaShem Created all things,He,being so Holy and Great, gave the world too much light and had to withdraw some of it,which,is what we feel every Shabbos, that special Holiness from the Beginning of Creation.
The word 'Bereishis,' starts with the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet, where the first letter would be an 'Alef' for Elokim. This shows, that HaShem, the Alef, was before Bereishit, all HaShem Created.
If we take the first and last letters of the word 'Bereishit,' we get 'Bait' ,which means 'House,' for HaShem gave us this world, our house to make a place for HaShem's Holiness.Within the word 'Bereishis,' is the word 'Or'- 'Light' for HaShem's Light and the Soul HaShem gives us,is within all HaShem Creates.
Within the word 'Bereishit' it starts with the 'Bet' and ends with the letter 'Tav' (the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, from which (The Hebrew Alphabet) HaShem Created Creation, thus encompassing all the letters of the Hebrew Alphabet. So,this shows that when HaShem spoke the word Bereishit," all came into being, that which was then, now and what is still to be.
As we leave our Succahs after these Holy festivals that have just been and that we were immersed in,let us take that Holiness we have gained and bring it out with us into every day that we have.HaShem enjoyed our closeness these days and as we go back to the world. Around us,let us take HaShem with us and really change and become what HaShem wants us to be so that HaShem can feel that we are still with Him close,as we were these Holy Days.As we start to read the Torah from the beginning on Simchat Torah, let us remember that all is a cycle and we can always return to HaShem. So let us take the Holiness HaShem grants us to earn and fill His House in this world and ourselves with HaShem's Light and love.
With Love HaShem,I love You and wish You a Holy Shabbos Kodesh and Good Yom Tov with Love and I wish you all a Good Shabbos Kodesh and Good Yom Tov with Love.

Our Shabbos this week is within our Holy festival of Succot where HaShem surrounded our people with myriads of angels to protect us in the wilderness. To remind us of the Clouds of Glory and angels in the wilderness,Jewish people build a Succah,a temporary dwelling, during these Holy Days. This is a time where we put ourselves at the complete trust in HaShem,to look out for us and protect us against all around us,as we leave our comfortable safe homes and dwell in the Succah. This is like Shabbos, where we put our complete faith in HaShem,to look after us and give us parnossah, even though we don't work on Shabbos to earn it.The very essence of this concept of realizing that it is not us who is the master of our destiny besides the free-choice we choose, but HaShem is in control and it is to Him that we are to turn.
It is interesting that ,where Succot is concerned, there is not a specific event that it surrounds, like Pesach refers to our freedom from Egypt and Shavuot is the time we received the Torah. With Succot, this is deeper and with HaShem.I have felt that perhaps this will be a festival for a happening in Mashiach's time in the future ,which will certainly coincide with Shabbos, for at the End of Days, the Eternal Shabbos will be forever. We will literally live inside of Shabbos and our entire trust and faith, will be in HaShem. If we could all ,only do this now, then we will live like it is in Mashiach's time. This is how Adam Ve Chava were supposed to live when HaShem gave them everything and they had to provide for nothing.Unfortunately, this was not enough for them and they desired that which HaShem wanted them to wait for.
So let us all be the ones who correct this and put our total faith in the Holy One Blessed Be He HaKadosh Baruch Hu and realize that all Was,Is and Will Be,From HaShem. So let us from this day forward be Law Keeping Yidden who follow HaShem's guide of Laws, back to Him.As we hold the Arba'a Minin, the Four Species of the Lulav and the Etrog together as one, picking the most beautiful Lulav and Etrog and as we Bless HaShem on these Holy Days, let us all stand together as one nation Israel,Holy before our G-D,deeply desiring to offer our best and choicest of ourselves and so,may we all, this Succot renew our relationship with HaShem as it was to be in Gan Eiden.Let us all remember that all,is from G-D.
With love to HaShem,I wish HaShem with love,a Holy Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and Chag Sameach Succot Good Yom Tov and to all,a Holy Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and Chag Sameach Succot Good Yom Tov.

Our Shabbos is also Yom Kippur, when Moshe finally gained atonement for us and came back on this 10th of Tishrei with the Second Luchos. This day for all time is a day where as it says in the Torah,'Yechaper Aleichem Le Taher Etchem Mikol Chatoteichem Lifnei HaShem Tit'haru,'-'For on this Day ,He (HaShem) shall provide atonement for you to cleanse you from all your sins before HaShem shall you be cleansed.'
We see that in this verse, atonement allows for 'Tahor,' - 'Cleansing.' So HaShem does not expect us to be angels who don't do wrong.Yiddishkeit allows for the truth that a person can be righteous and perfect before HaShem even though they have made mistakes.G-D,in His infinite mercy, understands how strong is the Yetzer Horah and allows us to come before Him and really be sorry for what we have done. This is truly how HaShem wants it to be.
The word 'Kaper,' means "Atone or Forgiveness,' so HaShem did create such a concept incase we sin.HaShem knows we are human and thus fallible. The very fact of realizing that we are wrong,is enough to stir HaShem's Mercy and allow us closer to HaShem. This is one of the most beautiful concepts HaShem made for us,as it shows how deeply compassionate and self-less is HaShem,to put aside His own pain when we hurt Him and think about us.How much more so,should we do the same thing for our fellow people. This is not a time for anger. This is not a time for selfish resentment. This is a time to truly forgive ,for we too are human and the same path people walk with us hoping we will forgive them,we too need to walk, hoping G-D will forgive us.
This is a time to put our own needs aside for others. This is a time to be open hearted to the needs of others being kind and loving and forgiving.Let those family grudges go.Let that anger go.Let upsets go and be free, for there is no freer person, than one who forgives.
Yom HaKippurim as it is called in the Torah suggests 'plural' forgiveness which can show us that there are many sins that we have done-those we know of and so many we don't know of.None of us have attained perfection. We are all working toward it.Never think that we are fine and have nothing to atone for as there are so many things we have done without even realizing it.Torah says,'Mikol Chatoteichem,'-'From ALL YOUR SINS.' Showing us this includes ALL of us and that there are MANY SINS that we ALL commit that needs atoning.
So may we use this special time totally for coming right with HaShem and with others.Let us remember,as the verse says, that we stand 'Lifnei HaShem,' - 'Before HaShem ' which is such an awesome thought to behold. So let us remember before Whom we stand and totally give ourselves to G-D.May we all attain atonement and work toward bringing ourselves to not repeating past aveiras and coming closer with HaShem.
Let this also be a time to come close to G-D and leave that which HaShem has not commanded, alone. This Yom Kippur, may all, open themselves up to following a Torah way of life and not be taken by other things,no matter how real they may look.G-D gave us a guide to follow to return to Him.Let all come,on this Holy Day of Shabbos and Yom Kippur to return to HaShem with love, and turn away from other beliefs that try filter in,showing themselves to be holy, but in reality, are a way away (Chas Ve Shalom) from HaShem.
As you stand before G-D , on this Holy Day of Shabbos and Yom Kippur, take the precious opportunity G-D is giving you and return to G-D and the way G-D Commands us to follow. Please return to G-D.
With utmost deepest love,I wish HaShem a Holy Shabbos Kodesh with Love and Shanah Tova and to all,a Holy Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Tzom Kal and G'mar Chasima Tova.May you all be sealed for good.Have a sweet Shabbos.

The Fast of Gedaliah ,which usually occurs on the 3rd of Tishrei, but we fast today as yesterday was Shabbos, reminds us of Gedaliah ben Achikam,,who was the last hope for having a Jewish ruler watch over us in Israel when Babylon took us into exile ,was assassinated. The sadness at that time on his passing, showed the utter desperation of our people, who finally started to realize what had been lost. This was our last hope at the time to be under some form of Jewish rule but unfortunately this sad event, brought to an end, hundreds of years of Jewish rule. When we have HaShem's loving care around us,we forget to appreciate it and look outwards to other things.May we today, open our eyes before it's too late and make a serious change within ourselves, really following G-D Only Whole-heartedly & Faithfully.Let no other belief ever cloud our path toward our Holy Torah of HaShem and let no other belief ever lead us astray.May we all find strength in following HaShem only. For those who are fasting today, may all have a Tzom Kal,a light fast and may we all work together to bring on the redemption and be brought close to HaShem.
This Shabbos is sweetly straight after Rosh HaShanah so what a special Shabbos of renewel of our beautiful relationship with HaShem..Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parshas Ha'Azinu where Moses Calls Heaven and Earth to witness how we behave.
Why would Moshe call Heaven and Earth to watch us and listen to how we follow HaShem? The answer to this goes right back to the beginning of the Creation and of Man and Woman, which is what we remember at this Holy time of Rosh HaShanah. In the first verse of the Torah,HaShem says that He Created Heaven and Earth. Here, the word Elokim is used to show us HaShem's attribute of Justice in Creating Heaven and Earth. So right from the beginning there was a place called Heaven to go to ,when keeping HaShem's Commandments and an Earth to be tested so we could earn that Heaven by tests and be punished if we fall so we can atone and do teshuvah. Now,in our Parsha,Moshe reminds us and calls Heaven and Earth to listen. and hear his words as we are again reminded that we are to work toward Heaven by doing good on Earth and atone through Earth which can punish us with hardships,so we can earn Heaven.
From the very beginning,Heaven and Earth that HaShem Created to be over us as Judges, point to the very important fact of free choice,
Now that Moshe is about to leave us,he calls Heaven and Earth to remember its duty to better us.
The verse says,' Ha Azinu HaShamaim Va'Adabera Ve Tishma Ha'Aretz Imrei Phi,' - 'Give ear oh Heavens and I will speak and may the Earth hear the words of my mouth.' So Moshe asks the Heavens (as there are seven of them as the word Shamaim shows in the plural in Bereishit) to listen. And the Earth to hear the words that Moshe speaks. Here,Moshe tells Heaven and Earth, two witnesses, to watch over us and judge us so we can be guided toward HaShem.
It is interesting that Moshe first asks for listening so the words can be heard. This is like HaShem, who calls to us all the time and speaks to us all the time and we will hear if we first choose to listen. It is our duty to first give ear to HaShem so we can take in His Words. For He speaks to us constantly-if we would only listen.
As we stand before HaShem on these Holy Days, let us remember to not just speak, but to give ear to G-D's needs and choose to truly listen to His precious song as Moshe's song is written to appeal to us.May we ,from now on, grow closer to HaShem .I wish HaShem a Holy Shabbos Kodesh and Shanah Tova a sweet year with love and to all with love,Shabbos Kodesh with love and Shanah Tovah Ketivah Ve Chatima Tova.
