Our Shabbos this week that comes just after Succot,is Parshas Bereishis,where the story of the Creation is told.The Torah starts off with ,'Bereishis Barah Elokim,' - 'In the Beginning,G-D Created...' But if we take the words another way,it comes to,'In the beginning of G-D's Creating,G-D Created...' Which shows that G-D was already Creating and then Created us.Our Sages tell us not to ask too many questions about what G-D Created before this,so we cannot know,but HaShem is The Creator and has probably been Creating,beyond and before what we can imagine.What we do suppose,is that this Creation,is the one that finally awaits Mashiach and the End Of Days.HaShem's power is so beyond what anyone can possibly imagine.His Awesomeness is so beyond,that we should trust and listen,to when HaShem tells us to do something.Our sages say that HaShem Creates the world anew every day and so we have a chance,every day to do good and keep HaShem's Holiness.This is how great HaShem's Mercy is.Infact,HaShem Creates this world every second,for if HaShem would stop just for a second Chas Ve Shalom,the whole of Creation would fall apart Chas Ve Shalom.While we are sleeping,while we are having fun ,HaShem is Creating.Our sages say that when HaShem Created all things,He,being so Holy and Great,gave the world too much light and had to withdraw some of it,which,is what we feel every Shabbos,that special Holiness from the Beginning of Creation.
The word 'Bereishis,' starts with the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet,where the first letter would be an 'Alef' for Elokim.This shows,that HaShem,the Alef,was before Bereishit,all HaShem Created.
If we take the first and last letters of the word 'Bereishit,' we get 'Bait' ,which means 'House,' for HaShem gave us this world,our house to make a place for HaShem's Holiness.Within the word 'Bereishis,' is the word 'Or'- 'Light' for HaShem's Light and the Soul HaShem gives us,is within all HaShem Creates.
Within the word 'Bereishit' it starts with the 'Bet' and ends with the letter 'Tav' (the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet,from which (The Hebrew Alphabet) HaShem Created Creation,thus encompassing all the letters of the Hebrew Alphabet.So,this shows that when HaShem spoke the word Bereishit," all came into being,that which was then,now and what is still to be.
As we leave our Succahs after these Holy festivals that have just been and that we were immersed in,let us take that Holiness we have gained and bring it out with us into every day that we have.HaShem enjoyed our closeness these days and as we go back to the world. Around us,let us take HaShem with us and really change and become what HaShem wants us to be so that HaShem can feel that we are still with Him close,as we were these Holy Days.As we start to read the Torah from the beginning on Simchat Torah,let us remember that all is a cycle and we can always return to HaShem.So let us take the Holiness HaShem grants us to earn and fill His House in this world and ourselves with HaShem's Light and love.
