Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Beshalach.
In this Parsha, our people have left Egypt, and HaShem Heads us toward the Yam Suf,Taking a round about way instead of Going Straight.HaShem specifically did not Lead the people toward the land of the Plishtim, for HaShem Knew a war with them might cause the people to turn back toward Egypt, fearing war with the Philistines.
Moshe took the Bones of Yosef as Yosef had adjured the Children of Israel, to bring his bones up from Egypt to Canaan , when the time came for us to leave Mitzrayim.
HaShem doesn't directly say that He Turned us away from the Plishtim,in case we feared them.
HaShem used the words 'Ki Karov Hu,' - 'Because it was near. ' What is meant by that. Before this, Avraham had made a pact with Avimelech of the Plishtim in Avraham's day, this stating that neither Avraham nor Avimelech, would deal harshly with each other to do the other harm. This agreement went to their children and children's children and one of the grand-children of Avimelech was still alive at the time of the Exodus and thus the time was 'Ki Karov Hu,' - ' too near ,' for the terms of this previous agreement. The pact was made between Avraham's and Avimelech' offspring ( Bereishis 21:22 ) and , as I just wrote,a grand-child of Avimelech was still alive,so this agreement was still in force at the time of the Exodus and thus HaShem felt it was 'Ki Karov Hu,' -still too ,Near/Close. So for that reason and also so that the people shouldn't fear and return to Egypt, HaShem led the people away from the Plishtim and toward the Yam Suf.
HaShem Sent with us a Pillar of Cloud by Day and a Pillar of Fire at Night.
Pharaoh hoped that our people would return after the three days we originally requested, but we did not return and seeing that Pharaoh had sent spies from Egypt, along with the Children of Israel, and these spies returned back to Egypt telling Pharaoh that our people were not coming back,Pharaoh took six hundred Chariots elite, to pursue us.
When Pharaoh reached our position, he noticed that we were at the Yam Suf and near the baal-zephon statue idol of baal .Pharaoh wrongly assumed that it was because of this idol, that we were now trapped , unable to go any further.
How wrong he was.HaShem Planned it this way.
HaShem blew a strong East Wind all night and the Yam Suf split for us to walk through on dry land.It was Nachshon Ben Amminadav, who became the leader of the Tribe of Yehudah, who took the first step into the Yam Suf in faith of HaShem and then the Yam Suf Split,
There were so many Miracles of HaShem within the Miracle of the Yam Suf Splitting, like even though there was Water before,on the Sea Floor, when we walked through, the bottom was dry and hard and so we could stand on it.
Even the Splitting of the Sea had many miracles, like the Sea didn't just split in half, but split into twelve pathways in its midst, for the Twelve Tribes of Israel to walk through it in their own pathway.
The walls between each pathway was also miraculous, for, each tribe could see through the wall of water, to the tribe next to it,so each tribe would give the other comfort. Also, all we needed to do to drink a bit of sweet water, was to just reach out our hand into the wall of water, and sweet tasting water would be there to drink and then the wall would return as before, when we had had our fill.
The very punishment of the Egyptians as they stepped into the opening pathways of the Yam Suf, was also filled with Miracles, for each Egyptian that passed on, as the water came back on them, suffered and died, by the exact same measure, they had hurt us Jews.At the same time in a similar spot where one of our Jewish people was going through the pathway of the Yam Suf, an Egyptian would be caught in the Water down-surge at the same moment in time. There were so many miracles here at the Yam Suf, that the remaining Pharaoh , who was the only one to survive, had to acknowledge now, that our G-D is G-D . Pharaoh never returned home, but ended up becoming the king of Nineveh, where Yonah was sent to proclaim they repent and this time,he listened.
After HaShem saved us at the Yam Suf, we sang a song to HaShem and then Miriam and the women ,went forth with dances and timbrels.
The angels too, wanted to sing Shira , at the punishment of the Egyptians , who were killed and who were now thrown out of the Sea, but HaShem Silenced them and Said, 'How can you sing at a time that My children are dying,' for all people , are HaShem's Children , and HaShem Wants all people to Follow Him and be good.We Jews as the one's saved were permitted to sing Shira to acknowledge HaShem's Miracles at the Yam Suf.
After the miracle, our people hesitated to leave the banks of the Yam Suf where this miracle took place, so as Torah says, Moshe had to cause them to journey., to the Wilderness of Shur, for a three day period in the Wilderness, but they did not find water, so the people started to panic and begged for water and the place was called Marah (which means 'Bitter' ), for , the Torah states directly , that 'they' were bitter,in other words, how we feel, positive or negative, is how we see the World around us.
HaShem showed Moshe a tree , which he threw into the water and it became sweet. HaShem Adjures us to listen to Him.
The people arrived at Elim , where there were twelve springs and seventy date palms and lots of water. The twelve springs represented the Twelve Tribes of Israel, and the Seventy Date Palms , represented the Seventy Nations in the World.
The Children of Israel then arrived at the Wilderness of Sin , where HaShem Gave us the Manna, between two layers of dew, one above it and one below it,prepared for us with love every day, one portion every day and two on the Sixth Day for Shabbos, for on Shabbos we were not to go and pick up the Manna. The Manna tasted like anything we might imagine at the time of eating this Holy food. The holier the soul eating it, the sweeter was its taste without the need of having to make any form of preparation with it. We commemorate this, with the two Challahs on Shabbos, surrounded by a cloth above and below, like the layers of dew that was above and below the Manna .
The people asked what this Manna was, saying ' Man Hu,'- ' What is this ' and so we called it Mann or Manna, an Omer a portion per person.HaShem Instructed that an Omer full of Manna should also be put away for safe-keeping for our generations near the Ark of the Testimony to be built, so we might see what we ate on the way toward Israel. We ate the Manna the full period that we were in the Wilderness, until we arrived at the border of the land of Canaan.
We journeyed and came to Rephidim , where there was no water and again , the people begged for water. HaShem Instructed Moshe to strike the Rock here for water to come out. The place , Moshe named Massah U' Meriva.
The Parsha ends where Amalek went out to battle us in Rephidim. Moshe chose Yehoshuah to go battle Amalek, while Moshe , Aharon and Hur ascended to the top of the hill. When Moshe raised his hands, Israel was stronger and when Moshe lowered his hands, Amalek was stronger.Moshe's hands grew heavy, so they took a stone on which Moshe sat and Aharon and Hur supported his hands on either side and Moshe remained like this in faithful prayer till the sun set.Yehoshuah overcome Amalek with HaShem's Help and HaShem had us remember that we were to erase the memory of Amalek from under Heaven, for HaShem Maintains a war with Amalek from generation to generation.
This Parsha is called Parashas Beshalach, in reference to when Pharaoh 'Beshalach,' - ' Sent ' us out of Egypt.Even though it was Pharaoh who physically sent us out of Egypt, it was really HaShem Who sent us out of Egypt and freed us, so it was HaShem Who 'Beshalach ' - 'Sent ' us out. This sending out and freeing us, was an act of Redemption, like a redemption of an ideal of Mashiach's time. We see this in the word Beshalach, which in Gematriah is 2+300+30+8=340 and 3+4+0 = 7 , the Gematrical value of Mashiach. Before the word Beshalach, is the word 'Vayehi,' where the 'Ve' is 'And ,' and the 'Yehi,' is like the Name HaShem Calls Himself when He Spoke to Moshe at the Burning Bush, thus hidden deeply in these words that start out this Parsha, is the deep words, of ' And HaShem Sent Pharaoh to send 'Et Ha'Am' the people .'The verse continues ,' Ve' Lo Nacham Elokim Derech Eretz,' which can also mean, ' And to him (Israel), Elokim Comforts us if we keep to the path of Right.'
HaShem Is All. In every action, HaShem is there, wanting us to learn and grow. We are never alone, no matter how we feel sometimes and HaShem is always there to 'Nacham' - ' Comfort us, and Help lead us on the path of Derech Eretz and the Righteous Path. HaShem never deserts us and is behind every loving good action that comes our way and when things seem hard, HaShem Wants us to learn and grow , and Sends us to all kinds of Holy tests , to help us reach closer to Him and become more holy.
We wake up every morning and HaShem has us say Modeh Ani and 'Beshalach,' - ' Sends us out ' into His Creation , to 'Nacham'- 'Comfort ' it by bringing His Light into every corner of it.
The Children of Israel were surrounded by a Pillar of Cloud in the Day and a Pillar of Fire in the Night and gave every day our need of sustenance. So must we have the faith that HaShem Will Provide every day's need and Watch over us and Comfort us always.
'Vayehi BeShalach,' - ' It happened , by HaShem ', that we were sent out ,always watched over by HaShem . HaShem is responsible for every minute life form and its movement, for if HaShem for one instant, would stop thinking of Creation and every part of it, it would cease to exist. So HaShem always must Think of Creation and every part of it , so it can continue to exist , so great is His Love.
Every part and place we find ourselves in, we are 'Beshalach' - ' Sent ' there for a reason, to bring His Light into that place. We must thus make ourselves worthy to be His messengers,by learning His Wishes and His Laws and being the very being of that Law, so as to make that moment in time we are in, a Light of His Wish. Thus, to be always ready to perform His Task, we must be learned in His Laws and so, be His true Messenger in the bringing of every part of Creation, we are a part of,to know His Holy Light.
May HaShem let us always be His beloved messengers always , sending us out into Creation to promote His Light and Love.
Even when we feel we are sent on a path that does not appear to be direct, as happened with our ancestors , in the beginning of this Shabbos Parsha, we need to trust that HaShem Knows all and Knows best and there is a reason for the path HaShem chooses for us, so we must learn to trust Him totally , knowing with HaShem, all will be Good always.
With Love to HaShem, I wish HaShem with Love,a Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with Love and to all, a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Bo
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Bo.
The Eighth Plague hits Egypt with immense power. This Plague is the Plague of Arbeh - the Locust Swarm . Within the word 'Arbeh' is the word 'Arav' which means 'lie in wait / ambush .' These special locusts lay in wait since Creation,to ambush Egypt, for this specific event , to fulfill their purpose in Creation. These were no ordinary locusts. These locusts had never been seen before , for they had fangs and claws and slicing wings and a never ending appetite, the likes of which , had never been witnessed .They attacked Egypt's crops with a fury. The Plague before this one, which was the hail, had only destroyed the crops above the ground that had sprouted. Now these locusts attacked the remainder, that was still growing, completely decimating the land. The Egyptians first looked up and saw the sky darken, wondering to each other if this was an eclipse.Only as it got nearer did they notice this was a locust swarm . This Plague was due to the lack of appreciation that the Egyptians no longer displayed for Joseph and our people and the crops he had stored for them in the time of abundance , for the years of famine. Also, Egypt had certain territory disputes with nations around it, and this settled what belonged to Egypt, for the locust swarm only attacked Egyptian territory.
When the Plague was over, not a single locust remained in Egypt, which included the usual species they would cook and eat.
The Ninth Plague was that of Choshech - Darkness. This Plague , again part of the set of threes, where on each third Plague, no warning was given to Pharaoh before the Plague started. This was a darkness that was tangible, in other words , it was physically felt like a hard weighted barrier that could not be gone through. If an Egyptian was sitting , he would not be able to get up, for the Darkness was a physical weight on him preventing him from moving. If the Egyptian was standing at the time this plague hit, he would be stuck where he stood, for he felt a physical barrier of Darkness all around him that he was unable to penetrate.
This Plague was due to a pastime the Egyptians inflicted on us, for they would make us stand for long hours , and we would not be able to move from our place ,or we would be whipped and beaten. We had to stand long hours not moving, while the Egyptians wined and dined. Now, the Egyptians learned how that felt.
During this Plague, the Egyptians were given a glimpse of us coming into their homes to see where they hid their valuables, so we could take our wage for the long years of bondage served without pay, as there was nothing they could do to stop us. But we never took a single item at that time , but requested when we left , these things for our wages, and the Egyptians could not say there were no valuables, for we were permitted into their homes during this Plague, to check where they were hidden.
Our honesty did impress the Egyptians, and our Sages say we gained their respect at our honesty in not taking a single thing from the Egyptians at this time, but waited till the time came to ask of them our wage.
The last Plague at the Midnight of this Plague, became the Night of Passover for eternity, for that first Seder took place on the Night of the Tenth Plague, 'The Slaying of the Firstborn of Egypt -'U'meit Kol Bechor Be' Eretz Mitzrayim ' - ' The Slaying of the Firstborn of Egypt.' Before this Plague, the Jews were commanded to put a sign on the two doorposts and lintel of their doors so HaShem will Passover their Houses. This Plague was an attack on the action of the Egyptians when they killed our first born.HaShem gave instructions for the Pesach and also for Rosh Chodesh.
The first Matzah the Jews had, was such a treasure, to us,that when we left Egypt, our things we put on our donkeys, but the Matzah we wrapped up and kept it close to our heart as we see in Shemos Exodus 12:34.
HaShem descended and killed the first born of Egypt. The first Pesach Night remains etched on our Jewish souls for all time, at how we did the first Seder, while outside the outcry of Egypt raised up high.
At the end of this Plague, after Pharaoh lost his own son at midnight,He called out in a voice that HaShem carried throughout Goshen, telling the Children of Israel to 'Rise up, go out from among my people, even you , even the Children of Israel; go and serve HaShem as you have spoken.Take even your sheep and even your cattle,as you have spoken and go - and bless me as well.'
Egypt pushed our people to leave .
When the time came for our release, it came quickly like a flood, though we waited long. The same will be with Mashiach, though we wait long, when the time is right, it will come like a flood.
HaShem Instructs on the importance of sanctifying the firstborn and the Parsha ends, with HaShem's Commandment of Tefillin and remembering the Exodus.
Our Parsha is called Parashas Bo. The word 'Bo' means 'Come' where HaShem Tells Moshe 'Bo el Par'o,' - ' Come to Pharaoh .'
Usually , a command would be 'Go to,' so why in this case is the word 'Come to' mentioned. The difference between 'going' and 'coming' is that 'Going' is more forceful than 'Coming.'HaShem told Moshe to appeal to Par'o with Moshe's usual humility and also that Moshe should still respect Pharaoh as a king in that position at the time.
Also,Moshe needed to appeal to Pharaoh from the point of view of the True Truth of HaShem as if to say that Pharaoh should 'Bo' - 'Come' with Moshe's point of view and follow HaShem humbly. This was Pharaoh's failing, his arrogance. He could not humble himself and so,his own arrogance became Egypt's downfall.Pharaoh could not see the fault was with himself.
We see this when he told Moshe and Aharon ,' Ki Ra'ah Neged P'neichem ' - ' the evil intent is opposite your faces .' Who was opposite their faces? He was.Pharaoh was opposite their faces.Pharaoh was the one who was acting evil, but he could never admit it even though deep down , there was a small part of him that knew he was doing wrong, yet his own ego would not allow him to admit it.So he saw evil in others, looking through his own personal view.
There is a lesson in this for us all to learn that we are all guilty of at some time or another. We tend to look at others through our own opinion and our own personal view .The fault we see in others may very well be the fault we ourselves possess.Because we find it easier to see faults in others that we don't like to see in ourselves,we blame others for it.
We need to learn to stop looking at the World through our own personal experience, for that is not the True Truth but our own truth. We are all different and we all do things for different reasons and that is why HaShem is the True Judge. For only He can See all.We need to learn to emulate HaShem in the was we see others, and to stop looking at others through our own limited points of view and life's experiences.
And this was we can 'Bo' - ' Come ' to HaShem , through His Torah .
Here we have another reason , why HaShem told Moshe to 'Bo' 'Come ' to Pharaoh, for in reality, HaShem Wanted Pharaoh to 'Bo' - 'Come ' to HaShem , and see the true Truth of Creation , HaShem Made all.
I wish HaShem with Love a Blessed Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all , a Blessed Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Va'eira
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Va'eira.
Here,HaShem reminds Moshe of how He Appeared to our Fore-Fathers as 'El Shaddai,' and now, He will Manifest Himself as HaShem.
El Shaddai has within it the Hebrew Word ' Dai,' which means 'Enough or Sufficient,' as our sages say, suggesting that Creation was complete and now HaShem is extending the natural laws to perform the Miraculous Plagues on Egypt.
Our Sages agree, how these Plagues were always there as a potential, from the Beginning of Creation and the time had come, due to the pathway the World had taken, for these Plagues to come about from the beginning. There is no doubt that even Adam,in the beginning , foresaw these Plagues even then, when He lived in Gan Eiden - the Garden of Eden.We see that ,if we take just one example,by the name he called 'frogs,' in Hebrew (for we know that ,by HaShem's Power,he could look into the character of and future of each animal he named and gave it a most appropriate name) for the Frog in Hebrew was named 'Tzefardeah,' which translates as 'To fit or jump into,' which is exactly what Adam foresaw the frog doing much later on in history when he foresaw the frogs, jumping into and fitting into the ovens and people in Egypt , in the Plague of Frogs.
The First Plague that Struck Egypt was for a very specific reason. In fact each Plague thrown at Egypt was to hit at Egypt for something specific they had done to us Jews.
The previous Pharaoh had thrown our baby males into the River, depriving us of the means to procreate and grow as a nation, and so, Egypt was forced to remember the blood they caused us in killing our children , and also being deprived of their important means of cultivating Egypt via the Nile. The Midrash tells us how those Jewish males that were thrown into the water were miraculously saved on the other side by HaShem.
It was Aharon and not Moshe ,who stretched out the staff over the water and HaShem brought forth Blood to only the Egyptians, for Moshe would not strike the water, that HaShem had used to conceal Moshe on, when he was a baby in the basket.
Pharaoh thought himself a deity and the people now saw he was not and could do nothing to bring the clear water back.
In the Second Plague of Frogs, a mighty Huge Frog of Monstrous proportions suddenly exited the Nile and made its way directly up to Pharaoh's Palace where , on the way, it opened up its mouth and millions of smaller frogs came out of its mouth and attacked Egypt, not letting the Egyptians have a moment's peace and rest. This was punishment, for how the Egyptians never let the Jews rest day and night , forcing us to work through all hours with no rest or peace.
The Third Plague came unlike the first two, without Pharaoh being warned, just as every third Plague in each set of three did come without a warning unlike its previous two. This Third Plague was Kinim, Lice from the dust. This Plague, really put the Egyptian sorcerers, making them realize the True G-D and putting them to shame , for they could not copy this one even though it was so small. The reason being, as that their Tum'a magic could not work on something so small as lice, for they used demons to bring their evil , and demons have no power over something as small as dust and lice.By the very dust and mortar that the Jews had to suffer to make bricks, so were the Egyptians punished with that very dust that HaShem Made into Lice.
The Fourth Plague was 'Arov' the 'Swarm of Wild Beasts,' which hit at the Egyptians just as they used to use Jewish Children as a means of being a target to catch their Wild Animals, which Pharaoh used to like to catch , to tame and surround his Palace, with Lions and other wild animals to scare others away.
The Fifth Plague, was the that of.'Dever,' the 'Epidemic' on the Egyptian's Animals which would thus distinguish their animals from ours, as the Egyptians would take great enjoyment in taking that which was ours, and now, HaShem Made it abundantly clear to them that our animals were ours, for our livestock remained unharmed.
The Sixth Plague again, came without warning to Pharaoh. This was the Plague of 'Sh'chin,' - 'Boils. Here ,Moshe and Aharon performed a great miracle, for they took furnace soot and Moshe threw it upward in front of Pharaoh, and unlike dust that would usually blow in different directions in the wind,it being so light here, this time ,it went straight upward, all the way to Heaven itself. It became Sh'chin, Boils and blisters on the necromancers and on all Egypt. The Blisters were so severe that the Egyptians who were known for their arrogant medicinal knowledge had no cure, for the blisters were cold and hard on the outside so that their medicines couldn't penetrate the outer layers, yet the inner layers remained hot and soft and filled with pulsating hot liquid, for which there was no relief and the Egyptians were not even able to stand or sit for the pain hit them no matter what they did. This hit at the Egyptians who prided themselves on their knowledge and love of the physical and punished them for making the Jews work so hard in all kinds of heat and cold and also the Egyptians used to force the Jews to wait on them in their houses while the Egyptians ate , where the Jews were forced to stand and were not able to move, but had to remain standing where they were or they would be beaten and whipped. Here, the Egyptians again were getting punished for what they did to us.
The Seventh Plague was the Plague of 'Barad' - ' Hail.'This Plague again hit at Egypt and their ungratefulness to HaShem and the Jews and Yosef , who had, with the Help of HaShem sustained Egypt with crop food, and the Egyptians had conveniently ignored that. Now HaShem sent the Hail and it destroyed their crops that were above the ground. This was a hail unlike any other, for here, HaShem sent two opposing forces of nature to come together to fight against the evil and bring peace and good. Here, HaShem used, within the Hail,Fire and Water (two opposing forces),that came down with a fury and by HaShem, attacked Egypt with fury.HaShem brought two of His Malachim , Micha'el and Gavri'el, to bring together the two opposing forces of Fire and Water and Egypt was left to hide and be hurt.So did HaShem punish Egypt, for Egypt's Harshness towards us and lack of appreciation for when our ancestor Yosef , with HaShem's Help, had Helped Egypt through the famine. Now Egypt felt the fury for themselves of of how it felt to be beaten and whipped , by this Hail, just as the Egyptian Taskmasters had beaten and whipped us with hot fury, making us work in all kinds of weather.
It is at this Seventh Plague, that this Parsha ends.
The Name of this Parshsa is Parashas Va'eirah, which means 'Appeared.'
It is in this Parsha , where HaShem Appears to exact action against our enemy and mercy for us.
Here, Egypt, sees the truth and fury of that which they denied and so, they realize, that our G-D is G-D.
In fact, when Pharaoh later on chases the Jews from his land and then regretting, pursues them with his chariots, arriving at the Yam Suf, he sends his charioteers after us through the Sea, and they all drown. He alone was left to go to Nineveh, where he becomes King and again there, the people start to sin. If we remember the story of Jonah, this time, when Jonah finally does come to Nineveh,by HaShem's Command, and tells the people there to repent, this time, the king there, who was this very king of Egypt who was the only survivor of the Red Sea, that HaShem Sent crashing down on his charioteers, who was struck by the Plagues and finally we , by HaShem's Hand were set free, this very same Pharaoh , who had become the king of Nineveh, this time, he asked his subjects to repent and fast and atone for their wrong. For, his words that he uttered at the site of the Red Sea coming down on his Egyptian people, remained scratched into his mind at the time, for when he saw the Egyptians vanquished at the Red Sea, he looked up to Heaven and cried out in a loud voice for the Jews saying at the Jews,' Your G-D Is G-D.'
It also just shows us that no matter how far down a person may go, there is always hope for them to repent and be given an opportunity to come to the path of HaShem.
HaShem, in this Parsha 'Va'eirah,' - 'Appeared' to us and to the Egyptians in showing them, Who is G-D, that G-D Is G-D.
Within the Word ,'Va'eirah,' is the Hebrew Word ' Ohr, ' (an Alef and Reish)both from the front and from the back ,for the word 'Va'eirah,' is within it - the word 'Eirah,' which in Hebrew is Alef Reish Alef , so the Word 'Ohr' appears from the front and from the back, for the 'Va'eirah,' - 'Appearance' of HaShem is the True Light . HaShem is the Only Light to Whom we must look up to, for He is the Only Creator of Light , and He appears to us in so many ways if we would only stop and look closer.Even if we look within ourselves, His Creation is all around us and we are a part of it and His love Shines within us.His Love burns sweetly within us as the soul He Gives us.
When we truly turn to HaShem, HaShem's Attribute of Mercy, which is the very Name that He now Reveals Himself to Moshe as, as the Name HaShem, we realize that This Name, which also refers to His Attribute of Mercy, makes us realize, that He shows and He Reveals Himself to us in the most special of ways , always Ready to Accept our loving return to Him and to the faithful following of His Laws.
HaShem is Always there with love. His 'Va'eirah ,' - 'Appearing' to us happens all the time , if we stop our own physical pursuits and look closer. HaShem wants our Closeness, and the 'Va'eirah,' - 'the Appearance' of HaShem is there, just waiting on us to return to Him in Love.
HaShem Wants the same 'Va'eirah' as we had in Gan Eiden, and so, HaShem awaits our faithful return.
As I wrote, the Word 'Va'eirah,' has the word 'Ohr'- 'Light' going both ways , with the Reish in the middle, a letter that goes upwards toward the top. Here, is the hint to HaShem's 'Va'eirah,' - 'Appearance.' For HaShem Shines Light down to us, and if only we would let our souls shine His Light back to Him, we would raise ourselves toward the top and lift ourselves up toward HaShem.
May the Whole World and Creation come to serve HaShem Faithfully and may we all sweetly lift ourselves in holiness by HaShem's Laws, and be as HaShem Wants us all to be and so be at one with HaShem that HaShem will Come Close to us as HaShem Wanted in the Beginning ,in a sweet and loving 'Va'eirah,' - ' 'Appearance' in love to us all , by HaShem .
I wish HaShem with Love,a Sweet and Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With Love, and to all , a sweet and beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.
Parashas Shemos
Our Parsha this week is Parashas Shemos, which starts out the Second Book of the Torah.
In this Parsha, the last of Yaakov's sons, passes away and only then does the slavery for our people start. This Parsha starts out with a 'Ve,' - 'And' showing how it continues from the previous Parsha.
Yosef, in his wisdom saw to it that our people stayed in Goshen, to make sure we would steer clear of foreign ways that made up Egyptian Society, but our Parsha tells us,how the 'Vatimalei Ha'aretz Otam,'-'How the land became filled with them' (with us) , thus , not all our people stayed in Goshen but some mixed with Egyptian society in other parts of the land, and that's when the problem started .
This is the same as happened in the Story of Purim, where again, some of our people mixed with the Persians. Each time, we as a people have mixed with others and lessened and forgot our Laws, we have run into trouble. This is what happened in Egypt.
Torah Tells us that a new king arose in Egypt, one that did not know Yosef, thus one, that chose to purposefully forget that it was from HaShem Who helped through a member of our Jewish people 'Yosef' that had helped the new king and the Egyptians live through the famine. How often has this happened to us.
So he suggested a way to rid himself of us, by knowing how quick we Jews would be prepared to volunteer for a project of kindness,to help Egypt and so we were first asked to volunteer for this building project with the Egyptians.Day by day, more and more of the Egyptian Workers would dwindle, till eventually, it was only Jews left.Pharaoh, thus did this in a very sly slow manner so as to trick us.Thus HaShem, let the Egyptians suffer slowly through Ten Plagues, each plague, allied to a specific hardship the Egyptians had put on us.
Suddenly, the Jews found themselves in harsh slavery.
Pharaoh's advisers told Pharaoh that they had seen in the stars that a redeemer would come to the Jews and that he would be destroyed by water, and so did Pharaoh command that all Jewish boys be cast into the river. The Pharaoh's advisers had seen it would be water that would affect our redeemer, but they did not see the whole picture, for at a much later stage, it was to do with Water that hurt Moshe , when he struck the Rock unlike what HaShem Said he should do.
It was for this very reason that Yocheved and Amram,Moshe, Aharon and Miriam's parents hid Moshe Avigdor in the River, so that Pharaoh's advisers would see in the stars that this redeemer had been put into the Nile and would incorrectly assume, the redeemer had been taken care of. The two midwives, who were actually Miriam and her Mother Yocheved ,did not listen to the Pharaoh's decree , and saved many Jewish children.
We can thank HaShem and also little Miriam that Moshe got born, as when Amram heard of Pharaoh's decree to kill the Jewish children,he divorced his wife, thinking what point is there in bringing up a child who will be faced with Pharaoh's decree, but prophetic Miriam persuaded her Father otherwise, and so little Avigdor (Moshe) was born.
In the basket , where he was placed , on the river,it was Batya, who noticed him and drew him out of the water, and thus was he named 'Moshe,' - which means to 'To Draw Out.' Batya was there that day, at the river converting to Yiddishkeit and so was she named Batya , ( with its meaning daughter or G-D for she had chosen to follow G-D ) .Miraculously, she let Moshe be first raised by his true Mother and only later was Moshe brought back to Batya.
One day as a child, Moshe decided to sit on Pharaoh's throne and put on his crown.Pharaoh's advisers felt the child needed to be tested, fearing this as a future prophecy, and so they tested him to see if he would choose a shiny gem or a piece of coal. The three advisers here were Bilaam (who wanted to kill Moshe) ,who said the boy should be tested, Yisro (who was to become Moshe's Father - in - Law) , who said the boy should be let go, and Iyov (Job) who didn't choose either way.It was for this reason that Iyov ended up getting tested in the book of Iyov,as he could have saved the boy but didn't choose to tell Pharaoh to let the boy go.
Moshe's hand went toward the shiny gem, but to save his life, the Angel Gavriel, pushed his hand away toward the coal, which Moshe put in his mouth and thus caused him to have a speech impediment.
Moshe grew up and went out to his brothers and saw their hardship and one day saw an Egyptian beating a Jew Dasan as the Egyptian had gone for Dasan's wife, and Moshe saved Dasan.
The next day, Moshe went out again and saw Dasan arguing with Aviram, Dasan's wife's brother, as Dasan wanted to divorce his wife and was about to fight with Aviram, and so again, Moshe intervened and they spoke to Moshe, of what he had done to the Egyptian the day before.
Moshe realized the matter was known and managed to escape Egypt.
Moshe first went to the land of the Cushites ,where he became king there and spent forty years involved with their issues, knowing that Yanus and Yambrus, the evil Bilaam's two sons had fled there.
It was only after this, that Moshe came to the well, where he met Tzipporah and saved Yisro's daughters from the shepherds.
Yisro's daughters had remained unmarried, as Yisro, had given up the idol following religion of the Midianites among whom he dwelt and so the men there did not want his daughters.
Moshe married Tzipporah and had two sons.
Moshe was one day shepherding near Mount Sinai and HaShem Called to him in the voice of Moshe's Father Amram (thus Moshe realized his Father must be with HaShem).
For a full seven days, HaShem Spoke to Moshe, at this holy site, near the burning bush, a representation, of our Jewish people, that no matter how many of our enemies may try to hurt us, we will live on by HaShem, Who Will Save us through time.HaShem Knew this sign would attract Moshe, who had compared the suffering and pains of his people to a bush , he had once dreamed of, wondering if we as a people would be 'hurt' (burned), for even at an early age, Moshe had spoken to HaShem and so, HaShem Answered Moshe, that his people ,like the bush, will live on.
Humble Moshe tried all seven days , to make out he wasn't worthy, and it was his humility, that proved he was worthy and the one most deserving of being chosen, who cares for every Jew lost spiritually ,who turns away from HaShem ' Laws, for once when Moshe was younger, one of his sheep had run off, and Moshe would not let a single sheep go astray, so he had gone after it very far and when he caught up to it, he put it on his shoulders and carefully and gently carried it home.
HaShem Told Moshe , he was to go to Egypt , and that a new Pharaoh was now ruler.
Moshe got acceptance to leave for Egypt from Yisro , for Moshe had agreed with Yisro when Moshe had married Yisro's daughter,to not leave for Egypt , and so Moshe got on a donkey to ride to Egypt. On the way, Tzipporah saves his life, by ensuring that a Bris is performed on her son.
Moshe comes to Egypt with his brother Aharon , whom HaShem had sent to meet him and here, meets again with his sister Miriam.
Moshe speaks the words of the Redeemer,' Pakod Pakadti,' and these words corroborate to our people that this is the true redeemer.
Moshe and Aharon start to make their way to Pharaoh with the elders, but the nearer they came the more frightened the elders become , till only Moshe and Aharon are left as the only ones to approach Pharaoh.
Pharaoh is asked to let us go on a three day journey , and is not told straight away about letting us go completely, as a punishment for how the Pharaoh had gotten us to at first volunteer for the working project , before it turned into slavery. This was what Moshe was instructed to tell at first.
But Pharaoh got more harsh and hardened his heart and insisted that the Jews go search out straw for themselves to make bricks.
Moshe cries out to HaShem after seeing the anguish of our people and this is where this Parsha ends.
The Pasha is called ' Shemos,' which means ' Names,' for no matter how the Egyptian society tried to encroach on our belief, The Jewish people kept to our Jewish Names.
And here is the lesson for all time for ensuring our safety. As soon as one starts to stray from Jewish roots and lets oneself be enticed to lessen , Chas Ve Shalom , on our Yiddishkeit, and starts following other ways that are not Jewish, so are those Jews put in the dangerous position of losing Holy Yiddishkeit. HaShem always protects us and wants us to stay Jewish and be a Light unto the Nations , to teach the nations about HaShem , The One And Only True Creator. This is our task as Jews to the nations. A Jew must always keep Jewishness and Torah as it is the pathway to HaShem and our survival.
The. 'Shemos' - 'Name ,'
Moshe was given , that means, 'To Draw Out,' also refers to this concept, for it was Moshe , who was to 'Draw Us Out,' from that which is negative and unholy in Egyptian society , and bring us back to HaShem.
This World is filled with physical temptations that are so meaningless. The only Truth is HaShem .The only truth is His Torah .Moshe , who could have grown up in Egyptian high physical society, chose rather to throw that all away, to 'Go Out To His Jewish Brethren,' caring for each and every Jew, and doing humbly and only what HaShem Wants. He chose not, the physicality, and put himself totally in the faith and love of HaShem. That is the Only way to live . That is the only pathway for a soul. The physicality must only be used to change it to holiness, for the only true pathway is to HaShem.
It starts with our Jewish Names and keeping our Jewishness.
May we as Jews never turn away from HaShem and love Him enough to keep our Jewishness and HaShem's Precious Gift to us of His Torah Laws.
For our Jewish Names, are a sweet show of faith and love and obedience, in the most Holy 'Shemos,' .- ' Name ' of all, and that is the Name of HaShem .
With Love to HaShem , I wish HaShem with love , a Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all , a beautiful sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love.
In this Parsha, the last of Yaakov's sons, passes away and only then does the slavery for our people start. This Parsha starts out with a 'Ve,' - 'And' showing how it continues from the previous Parsha.
