Parashas Balak

Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Balak .
The Children of Israel with the help of HaShem had just beaten the mighty giant brothers Sichon and Og,sons of the fallen Angel Shamchazael from the time of Noach and the Mabul , and now Moav was worried .They knew of a ruler nobleman who was also a sorcerer from Midyan by the name of Balak ben Zippor (Tz/Zippor meaning 'Bird' for he used to divine with birds he'd make out of metal with a live bird's tongue) ,whom the Moabites asked to be their ruler against Israel . Balak inquired of the Midyanim,with whom Moshe had once stayed with Yisro,to try and ascertain what was the root of their power against their enemies. Balak found out that it was the power of their mouth for when Israel would pray to G-D , G-D would Help them.
Balak decided to fight them with one who also was known at that time to have power in his mouth and approached Bilaam,the grandson of Lavan,with great offers of wealth ,to come and curse Israel. Balak knew this was the man for the job,a man whose services went to the highest bidder, for Bilaam had once prophesied that Balak would rule and this had come to pass.Also Bilaam was known to know the exact moment in the day of HaShem's Anger and would curse people using this knowledge.
Bilaam was the one who advised Par'o to throw the Jewish babies into the Nile (for Bilaam had foreseen that the Jewish redeemer would be destroyed by water [sadly Moshe was judged by water when he struck the rock ,which was not quite as Bilaam had seen it ] and this was why little Moshe was put into a basket so it would look as though the redeemer was in the river ) and he also wanted Moshe to be killed when he advised Par'o before, when Moshe was tested with the coal as a young boy.Bilaam being related to Lavan had a hatred for the children of Yaakov. 
HaShem told Bilaam not to go but seeing Bilaam persisted,Bilaam was finally allowed to go ,only if he said what HaShem Allowed.
On the way, after first turning Balak down,a Miracle happened.
While Bilaam was riding his She-Donkey, it was forced to stop as an Angel (the Angel Satan ) that Bilaam had not yet seen, stood in the way with a drawn sword.The She-Donkey,was forced to divert under the control of Bilaam and again the Angel stood in the way,this time, pushing Bilaam's leg against a wall ( the same wall mound that was previously set up by Bilaam's Grandfather Lavan and Yaakov, when they had parted ways agreeing they would neither cross over this mound to harm each other.But Bilaam did not care about this reminder of his family's oath to Israel and still continued to press on to Balak.This time the Angel stood in the way, so the She-Donkey could not pass at all. It was then that Bilaam severely struck his She-Donkey,looking for a sword he could not find ,to kill it ,for it had crouched down and refused to move.A miracle happened.A miracle that according to Pirkei Avos had been prepared since the beginning of Creation. The She- Donkey spoke aloud.Bilaam answered it while the She-Donkey mocked Bilaam,saying that Bilaam makes himself so big that he can come and destroy a whole nation, when he can't even kill his donkey without a sword. Bilaam, had never seen such a thing and still persisted with the argument with his She-Donkey.The She-Donkey was killed and the Angel appeared.It was here that Bilaam realized why his She - Donkey had acted so.
Bilaam goes on to meet Balak and they form a team,for while Bilaam knew how to curse, it was Balak who knew from where to curse.Seven altars are built ,but they all came to nought for the seven altars built by the Jewish patriarchs and heads (4 by Avraham,1 by Yitzchak and 2 by Yaakov) outshone them in holiness,thus whatever we do that is Good and Holy for HaShem ,always has a purpose to aid and assist our people in our people's future.The seven altars were also to represent seven nations in Canaan and also Bilaam saw himself as the prophet of the 70 nations of the World.
No matter how hard they tried to hurt the Jewish people, G-D turned it into a Blessing and so, out of Bilaam's mouth, he had to Bless us and tell of the hardships that would befall our enemies,right into the future.
Bilaam saw he couldn't bring upon us G-D's Wrath ,for we modestly and in purity,kept our tent openings facing away from our neighbor's tent, so Bilaam set up a way to catch us.
He organized a market where Midianite females would entice us and so, some in the South of our camp,mainly the tribe of Simeon, was enticed to act out a form of serving their deity.This was done, even right in front of Moshe's tent, where a leader of the tribe of Simeon ,Zimri ben Salu brought the Midianitess princess Cosbi ,of their King Zur,past Moshe's view and tent and into Zimri's Tent. Pinchas ,to stop the wrath of HaShem and make peace between HaShem and His people, Pinchas son of Elazar son of Aharon , took a spear in his hand and with great courage went into the Simeonite camp and pierced them both and the plague was stayed.
Pinchas could not stand by and watch HaShem insulted as well as his teacher Moshe insulted and so did what needed to be done to bring about purity.
So many through time have tried to hurt and curse the Jewish People,yet HaShem has always stood by us and saved us in the end. HaShem always will as long as we Jewish People continue to study His Torah and keep all his Commandments,even under the most extreme pressures and tortures not to.HaShem must always come first.
A Jew must never fall under pressures and must remain faithful to G-D and His Whole Torah Laws.
Only then can we expect be worthy to have HaShem's Protection.HaShem never forgets a single action of goodness and rewards goodness even generations later.
There are always two paths.The path of Moshe toward HaShem and The Torah and the path of Bilaam,away from HaShem and The Torah.To even break a single Torah Law or not keep a single Torah Law is an affront to HaShem.For each Torah Law is part of HaShem's Truth and Torah.To try to deny a single Law,is to deny HaShem Chas Ve Shalom Who we know,Created Creation and IS G-D .
It is to HaShem we must listen and it is to HaShem that we are to Follow.Every word He tells us.We are merely people and have no right to say what is needed.Only G-D Can possibly know and it is only to G-D to Whom we must listen and follow through His Gift of every Torah Law in His Holy Torah which He Wrote 2000 years (in our measure of years) before Creation.
So as we approach this coming Holy period of the Three Weeks that begins on the 17th of Tammuz and ends after Tisha B' Av the 9th of Av ,may we all renew our holy Covenant with G-D and return to Him following the path that HaShem gave us through Moshe in His Holy Torah .
Let us all put our personal wishes aside and selflessly come to G-D as G-D Wants us to in His Torah .May this World become a World for HaShem .
