Our Parsha this Shabbos is 'Ki Teitzei,' and starts with when Israel will go 'out' to war and HaShem delivers them into our hand and the men of war see a foreign woman of beautiful form,' -'Yefat To'ar,' who the men of war desire.Though the Law permits this as a man's desire is known ,our Rabbis say that this is not necessarily the best thing to do as it will lead to more problems later ,like the 'rebellious son' further on in the Parsha . Foreign women bring foreign ways and will lead others astray even in the guise of what is correct but truly is not Chas Ve Shalom. I feel HaShem hints at all of this that can happen, at the very first words of this Parsha, when HaShem says,Ki Teitzei,' 'When you go out.'As soon as we go out of the Holy Way which HaShem sets for us,we are at the mercy of the Yetzer Horah that waits to pull us down.Even the Shema prayer cautions us to keep our eyes on Holy things for once we look 'out' the temptation tries to pull at us.G-D set for us a full system of beautiful Laws for Very Good Reason . HaShem knows the world we live in and knows the many temptations which it holds. HaShem knows that man can be tempted and so,to keep us on a straight road of Holiness,Torah guides us.If we get stuck in a forest with no map of how to travel out of the confusion and paths that may trap us,we will be completely lost.So Our Holy Torah from HaShem is our beautiful map through this world to teach us which way to go so that we travel toward the light. We know, that if we go on the wrong path in a forest and that wrong path starts off just with a minute deviation in the begiinning,by the time one has traveled further on,the deviation is massive, even if one steps one small bit away each time.Sometimes it is even hard to see the right path anymore by the time one has deviated for awhile. So,one should not even step off the right path even a little,as with each new step, the right path gets further and further away.So HaShem has given us the right path through the confusion of this world and that is HaShem's Torah, for without it (Chas Ve Shalom) we would be completely lost. HaShem knows where we all need to go and how to get there. So it is only to HaShem that we should listen.
As HaShem teaches us,that when one 'Ki Teitzei' -'Goes Out' and deviate from Holiness, even one small bit,it will have such great effects, even to one's very offspring ,as we see the result of taking that which is foreign' which could become a 'rebellious son.' HaShem knows all.We know so little if anything at all.The very fact that a wrong move 'out of Holiness' can effect one's very offspring is hinted within the words 'Ki Teitztei,' for the Hebrew word, 'Tze'etza,' which has the word 'Tetzei' hidden within it, means 'offspring or descendants.'So every move we make should always be toward HaShem.
After the words 'Ki Teitzei' are the words 'LaMilchamah Al Oivecha,' -'To war against our enemies' - which also hints at this same fact, that when we go out of the Holy way of HaShem,we will be at war with our Yetzer Horah. HaShem is the only G-D and His Way is the only way to follow.Though (as the verses in this Parsha say, that there will be a 'Chashakta,'-'A Desire,' to stray, this desire is not real,a play,a sneer, falsity which in Hebrew is the word 'Shachak,' which is a word that has the exact same letters as the word 'Chashak,' -'Desire.'
HaShem is the only way. There is no other.HaShem so wishes for us to grow and lift ourselves above the physicalities around us so that we can enter HaShem's light. This can be accomplished,if only we do not 'Ki Teitzei' - ' 'Go Out,' Chas Ve Shalom, from HaShem's way.The ways of those that follow that which is not in the Torah and that which may look correct and holy, but is not, will always be 'Going Out,' from the true path. How do we know what is the true path of HaShem? We know, because HaShem tells us in His Torah.Anything that came after that,is not the path of HaShem.Only The Torah given to Moshe Rabbeinu is the true way from G-d.May HaShem mercifully grant us the strength to stay on the true path of Torah Holiness and may we all gain the strength to make Holy Choices and choose G-D and His Way only. Please keep HaShem's Torah.Please.
With deepest precious and special love to HaShem,I wish HaShem a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.
