Our Parsha this Shabbos is a double Parsha of 'Nitzavim' and 'Vayeilech' where Nitzavim refers to the Children of Israel' standing there in front of Moses as Moses was talking to them near the end of his life and 'Veyeilech' is when Moses went out on his last day to the people. So what do these two Parshas have in common? In the first, the Children of Israel stand  in front of Moshe, while in the second Parsha,Moshe goes out to the people.
Looking at the word 'Nitzavim with the words around it,'Atem Nitzavim Hayom Kulchem Lifnei HaShem Elokeichem,' which,if we take the word 'Nitzavim ,' and note the 'Nun' that starts it,which usually refers to the future tense of 'us/we,' we then get a deeper meaning of this verse here. The verse then could be read as,'We (as in us)all of us today are standing together before HaShem our G-D,from which -'Vayeilech' Moshe still comes out (from HaShem) and begs us to hear HaShem's words, even today.
Moshe ,even today is pleading with us to keep the Torah and follow HaShem only.We may not realize it,but HaShem is before us all the time and at every moment,we are still standing 'Nitzavim' before HaShem. So we really need to take a good look at ourselves and serve HaShem faithfully and do right and treat all with morality and kindness. This HaShem has been asking of us since the beginning and Moshe comes out from HaShem, even today,to plead with us to faithfully follow G-D and His Laws.
Think for a moment how you would actually feel if G-D stood right in front of you.You would be completely humble and apologetic and follow HaShem wholeheartedly.Well, time to realize that this is actually the case,as HaShem stands in front of you all the time, but hopes you will do the right thing by choice.
This is the Shabbos before Rosh HaShanah and then we have Yom Kippur, which is a time when HaShem comes down closer to be near us and we 'Nitzavim' - 'We Stand' before Him,so this is a perfect time to start 'Vayeilech'-'Going out' to HaShem and mending all that we need to mend and coming close to our Beloved Creator. We stand now on the threshold of this Holy time and so,we need to take in the gift that HaShem offers us at this Holy time. This is the time for us to all return to G-D's Laws and remember who we are. This is our time to come back to G-D.This is our time to stand-'Nitzavim' before HaShem,Who takes special trouble for us,to come down and listen to our Tefillos ,so we must,'Go out' (from negative ways) - 'Vayeilech' to HaShem and follow His ways only of purity.
With love to HaShem,I wish You a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and Shanah Tovah and to all,a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and Shanah Tova Ketivah Ve Chatima Tova.
