Our Parsha this Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Nissan is Parashas Tazriah where conception of male and female children are discussed as well as the laws of impurity and Tzara'as .
The word ' Tazriah ' here indicates 'Conception,' yet the Hebrew word for 'conception,' is 'Hegeh,' so why would HaShem choose 'Tazriah,' for the word 'Conceive?' Within this word,is the word 'Zerah,' which means 'Seed,' in reference to the new born child. No doubt, the word 'Tazriah,' does mean 'When she will conceive,' but here, within this word as I just said is the word 'Zerah,' the seed of the unbroken chain of Yiddishkeit right back to Avraham .Every Jewish child that gets born has a part of Avraham's Neshoma - Soul as well as Avraham's blood running through them. This 'Zerah,' is part of an unbroken chain of Jewishness Blessed by G-D . This chain and seed is to be kept always Holy. HaShem Said we are a kingdom of Priests and a Holy Nation and we are to uphold this. We work for HaShem .We live for HaShem and we must make everything we do , for HaShem's sake . This includes even the conception of children . The very act of a couple coming together to be partners with HaShem in making a child , shows the true Holiness this action is to take . In Gan Eiden , a child could be conceived and born straight away with no pain .After Chava and Adam's sin, when they were sent from the Garden , this changed and women gave birth in pain.
We notice that before they ate the fruit, they were naked - 'Arum' (in Hebrew) yet they were not ashamed , for at that time ,the Yetzer Horah had not taken hold of them and they had only Holy reasons for living and could face each other in purity of thought with nothing to hide .The very word , 'Arum,' also means 'Cunning ,' as the snake that tempted Chava, was described .This shows that every action we do has two sides . It can either be holy or impure, depending on our choices . It was only after they ate the fruit and disobeyed HaShem ,that physical desires that were unholy , became a part of them and they noticed the negative side of the word 'Arum,' .This being the case , for when an aveirah is done , HaShem steps away. Where HaShem removes Himself, impurity jumps in .
To this day , impurity of physicality still exists. We are not on a level to truly conceive children without a small minute part of impure physicality . What was to be in Gan Eiden as an act of conception ,was to be a truly Holy act where HaShem was a part of it in a most Holy way . This is not the case now,for we are filled with aveirahs which cause impurity.
This very Parsha discusses Tzara'as and how HaShem let's a person who committed certain aveirahs, know that they are to look inward to purify themselves so healing can begin . In those days,a defect of sin appeared on a person's garment, article, house or on their bodies. They would need to be isolated and have a Kohen decide whether they were stricken or not . Today we are not shown in the same way , that we committed an aveirah .Yet we are still to ensure that at every possible moment, we must look inward at ourselves to correct ourselves and make ourselves holy for HaShem .
The Laws are in the Torah and each step we take in keeping the Holy Torah Laws leads us toward purity . A purity of body and soul that is our destiny from the seed of Avraham through the generations to each and every one of us Jews , to continue on our road to Holiness and purity . A road that Avraham put us on and with the very parts of his soul and blood within us guiding us , a road toward HaShem .
Take a good look at yourself from another person's point of view , as the person stricken had to show a Kohein and couldn't judge it himself.Be honest with yourself and correct what needs correcting . It is to your benefit that you become holy and be a forever part of HaShem's closeness .
We stand on the Rosh Chodesh of Nissan , the month of our freedom from bondage. Let us not forget the bondage of our own aveirahs that hold us captive .The only true freedom is a Holy Freedom of HaShem and His Laws .May the World be filled with HaShem's Light as we all in this World, work to make it the pure and holy place HaShem so Wants it to be .
With love to HaShem , I wish HaShem with love , a Beautiful Blessed Shabbos Kodesh ànd Chodesh Tov Nissan with love and to all , a Beautiful Blessed Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov Nissan with love .
