Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Vayechi. It is the last Parsha of the Book of Bereishis.
In this Parsha, Yaakov calls Yosef and has him assure his Father that he will bury his Father in Canaan and not in Egypt . Yaakov knew that it was only Yosef as Viceroy, who could arrange permission form Pharaoh , to leave Egypt for this.
Egypt in Hebrew is 'Mitzrayim,' which means 'Borders,' for once a person came to Egypt, they were as good as locked in ( even spiritually into their negativity and Tum'a Impurity ) and could only leave on permission of the Pharaoh. This can also explained why Yosef couldn't leave all those years and return home to his Father, when Yosef was first sold into Egypt. Egypt was a place of very low morals and filled with Negative Tum'a impurity.
A little time later, Yaakov felt his time approaching and called again for his son Yosef, where he Blessed Yosef's sons, as one of his own.So do we Bless our children on Shabbos to be like Ephraim and Manasseh , who, though in exile, among other nations, still kept to holy Yiddishkeit.
Again, Yaakov tells Yosef, to ensure that Yaakov is not buried in Egypt . Yaakov feared the Egyptians would worship his body, and so Yaakov did not want to be part of Avodah Zarah.Yaakov also foresaw the plague of lice that would hit Egypt later on and didn't want his body to be part of the dust that would become lice. Also, Yaakov , being a most Holy Man, knew that to be buried in the Holy Land, meant that those Jews who are buried there , are the first for Techias Ha Meisim - Resurrection of the Dead , and of course Canaan is a Holy Land above any other.
Then, Yaakov calls for his sons at the time close to his passing, when a person is closely near prophecy and was just about to tell his sons when Mashiach would come , in the words ' Hei'Asfu Ve Agidah Lachem Eit Asher Yikra Etchem B'Acharit Ha Yamim Hikavtzu,' - ' Assemble yourselves and I will tell you what will befall you in the End of Days Gather yourselves,' (Bereishis Mem Tes Aleph to Beis - Genesis 49:1-2),when HaShem Sent a Malach to have him forget the day of the Final Redemption to keep it hidden so we will continue to become Holy and not just wait when the time is right, to do what needs be done. The very fact that Yaakov tells his sons to assemble and gather and that this statement in the Torah,is related to The End of Days, shows that The Children of Yaakov, and his descendants as Jews can bring Mashiach, if we would all only assemble and gather together as one people, under HaShem and HaShem's Laws of Torah .
Yaakov then proceeds to Bless his sons and when he finished, ever so holy Yaakov passed away.
Yosef approached Pharaoh to ask permission to leave Egypt to bury his Father , and at first Pharaoh did not want to let Yosef go, but Yosef reminded Pharaoh of an agreement they had previously had , when Yosef and Pharaoh kept in confidence to themselves that Yosef knew one more language than Pharaoh ( for it was the task of the Pharaoh to know all 70 languages of the World, yet Yosef knew them all as well as the holy tongue of Hebrew, which Pharaoh was unable to learn, for it was too holy and so, on this agreement that Yosef and Pharaoh keep it to themselves, Pharaoh let Yosef go and have Yaakov buried in Canaan.
We are told in the Gemorrah and Midrash Rabbah how, when Yaakov was being buried, Eisav contested the burial site of The Cave Machpelah (where Adam Ve Chava and Avraham Ve Sarah and Now Leah were buried , standing up , whereupon Naphtali ran back to Egypt to bring and prove in the document agreement, that this Site, belonged to Yaakov. We are also told that Chushim, Dan's deaf son , realized the commotion against his Grand-Father Yaakov, and Chushim , saying that his Grand-Father's body should not lie there in disgrace till fast fleet-footed Naphtali returns, and so he took a club and killed Eisav, thus Yaakov's burial and Eisav's death and burial took place on the same day, fulfilling their Mother Rivka's prophecy that she would not want to be bereft of them both on the same day (Bereishis Chaf Zayin Mem Hei - Genesis 27 : 45).
After Yaakov's passing, the brothers of Yosef got scared that now Yosef would take revenge, and made up the story as if Yaakov had said that they must be forgiven and not dealt with harshly by Yosef. Yosef understood they were just talking from fear, and Yosef Ha Tzaddik , again shows his worth, by not blaming them , but understanding that he had to be sent before so as to sustain his family and so , they were comforted.
We are then told that Yosef lived One Hundred and Ten Years ( just ten years short of the One Hundred and Twenty years, losing those ten years due to allowing his brother Yehudah , to refer to their Father as 'your servant My Father ' when Yehudah was pleading for Binyamin, and Yosef never objected these ten times, so he lost ten years of his life as a Father must never be allowed to be referred to as that but he is to be granted the utmost respect , adjuring his family that he is not to be left in Egypt when the Children of Israel leave Egypt, but is to be taken back to Canaan when we leave Egypt after the time of slavery.
Yosef tells to his brothers, the words that the one who will, in the future come to redeem the Jews (Moshe) will say 'Pakod Yifkod / Pakadti,' - G-D Will surely remember you,' so when the time comes they will know the true redeemer Moshe when he comes. And so, this is exactly what HaShem told Moshe to say to the Children of Israel when HaShem sent Moishe to redeem them ' Pakod Pakadti ' (Shemos Gimmel Tes Zayin - Exodus 3:16).
Yosef then passes away and is placed in a coffin in Egypt. Our Midrash tells how Yosef's body was placed in the Nile and how Moshe lifted his body before we left Egypt,so as to fulfill Yosef's wish and word.
And so ends the Parsha and the First Book of the Torah, The Book of Bereishis.
We see that the Parsha is about the passing of Yaakov, yet it is called 'Vayechi,' - ' And Lived,' . This is similar to the Parsha of Sarah's passing , that was called , Chayei Sarah,' - 'The Life of Sarah.' When a very Holy person passes on , they are not looked upon as dying but passing on to their next stage of Spiritual Climbing toward HaShem, where their soul continues to grow in holiness . Death , is not an end, but a continuation of 'Chai - Chayei - Vayechi,'. - 'Life,' true life , the journey of the soul toward HaShem . That is true 'Living .'This is how it is for us all .
These holy people in Bereishis , lived a life of Torah , a life for G-D , not for themselves , and so they lived true living and continued into the next stage toward G-D .
True Living is Living to work toward Eternity and Mashiach , who will come at The End of Days.
We see this proven in the very first word of this Parsha and its name - 'Vayechi,' which in Gematriah, comes to 6+10+8+10=34 and 3+4=7 which is the Number of Mashiach and the Gematrical value of the word Mashiach, showing how true living is , to work to earn and head in the direction of Mashiach and the End of Days.
We can emulate these holy people by living each moment for G-D and not for ourselves. Each day G-D Gives us , is a gift and a beautiful opportunity to bring our very Guf - Body to Heaven .No day should ever be wasted on physical meaningless pursuits and pathways that lead only to self-serving physical pleasures and personal wants , as in the end , those won't get one anywhere .
The only path to make each moment in time , an eternity of the soul, is the path of each moment in our lives of going G-D's Way. That is the only true Way. Let not the physicality tempt you to think it is the right track, for physicalities have no Spiritual climb unless they are directed upward toward HaShem .
'Vayechi,' - ' Living' is a continuous path of learning and climbing to G-D and to Truly Live, is to Truly Live in HaShem .
Start to Truly 'Vayechi,' 'Live' today and let your every step be a step up to G-D and His Love that sweetens Heaven .
I wish HaShem With Love, a Most Special Shabbos Kodesh with love , and to all, a most special Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Vayigash
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Vayigash.
In this Parsha, Yehudah has stepped forward to plead for his brother Binyamin and for his Father's love for Binyamin.
The pleas of Yehudah so touch Zaphenat Paneach that he can no longer resist his tears ,seeing that his brothers have shown their regret and their lessons learned , and asks all but his brothers to leave the room when he, Yosef , makes himself known to his brothers, when he says the words , 'Ani Yosef,' - ' I am Joseph.'
This is similar to how Mashiach will appear, saying 'Ani Mashiach,' for Mashiach has been with us hidden all along ,waiting for the Ketz.
Yosef's brothers, don't know what to say, and Yosef comforts them and calls them closer, showing that he has no ill intent to them but understands that what happened, had to happen , so that he could be put in the position to save his family and Egypt as well as other nations as well and that Divine Will ,will eventually bring about a redemption from Egypt. .
Yosef instructs his brothers to return to their Father and bring Yaakov and the family to Mitzrayim.
Yaakov's spirit is revived to hear from his grand-daughter Serach bas Asher , that his beloved Yosef is still alive and they all set forth for Egypt.
Yaakov sends Yehudah ahead to prepare the way and this means making a Mikvah .
The names of those coming to Egypt from Yaakov's family are mentioned in the Parsha and our Sages say that just as Yaakov and his family were entering Mitzrayim, Yocheved, the Mother of Moshe, Aharon and Miriam was born.HaShem was already preparing the way, before they even entered the Golus of Egypt, for their eventual redemption.
Yaakov finally arrives in Egypt and he and his son Yosef meet, where on seeing Yosef , Yaakov's first response is a holy one and that is to bow to the Shechinah of HaShem and Daven Shema and thank HaShem that he can look again upon his son who has remained a holy Jew.
The land of Goshen becomes the new temporary home of Yaakov and his family, for it was the place given to Sarah by a previous Pharaoh.
Yaakov meets Pharaoh.
The Parsha ends with how Yosef continued to organize things in Egypt during these hard years.
The Parsha is called 'Vayigash,' which means 'Approached, ' in reference to Yehudah approaching Yosef to plead for Binyamin. Within this word is a 'Yud,' which deeply can signify that it is HaShem Who Approached. The fact that it is HaShem Who Approached, shows that all things are from HaShem .
The roads we choose in life are our choice to choose, but when we reach certain times when we feel tested,we need to look much deeper at what is really going on below the surface. For it is at these times that HaShem is 'Vayigash' - 'Approaching' us and wanting us to take stock of the situation and gain spiritually from it, by rising above our own inclinations. These are times also when HaShem is giving us the opportunity to correct and make right, wrongs that have been committed by us.
It is then that we need to 'Vayigash,' - 'Approach' HaShem in Teshuvah and look deep within ourselves for the reasons why 'things are thus.'
HaShem gives with love, and that includes the trying tests we have to sometimes go through. At the end, it will all turn out for the good, if we only take the lesson within.
The more beloved we show HaShem is to us, the closer we can come to Him,the closer we can 'Vayigash,' - 'Approach ' Him in love.
HaShem is always open to repentance. All we need to do is to turn directly to Him and to nothing and no one else, for all else, He Created. It is to HaShem Alone that we must turn.
The word 'Vayigash' has within it, the word 'Gash,' which means 'To Draw Close to,' and also refers to 'Approaching,' This word also appears in the place 'Goshna,' which is where the Jews came to live in Egypt, before their redemption.
The word 'Goshna,' has within it the Hebrew Words,' Gash,' which means 'to draw or come close to' and 'Na' which means " Please.'
So , Goshna was the stage before redemption , where we,the Jews pleaded for HaShem to Draw and Come close to us and save us,and where we were to choose to draw and come close to HaShem, pleading with HaShem to Redeem us.
Even though HaShem Approached us in the beginning of our Golus (as I have mentioned here with the 'Yud' in the word 'Vayigash' ), so did HaShem Never Leave us in Goshen , during our stay in Egypt , as HaShem 'Goes with the Jews into Golus ,and all was for a purpose that we didn't see at the time, but showed itself , in our Redemption from Egypt, and when we left Egypt and headed to Har Sinai, to 'Vayigash ' - 'Meet' HaShem, all came together from the moment Yosef went down to Egypt, his Brothers and Yehudah Approaching him and it was all to culminate in the 'Approach ' with HaShem at Mount Sinai.
We see this in the book of Shemos Exodus 19:22 , where again the word 'Vayigash' is found in the form of 'Nigashim,' in respect to the Kohanim and approaching HaShem's Presence, just before the revelation of HaShem at Sinai.
In fact, our whole existence , every day , is based on working up to ' Vayigash' 'Approaching ' HaShem - Closer every day. The whole story of Yosef, shows HaShem's Intervention and how HaShem Gives us the opportunity to correct wrongs done and to repent. For all that HaShem Does is for the Good, in all of our lives, as time will always show. All we need is to trust and have faith in HaShem and to Approach Him every day.
This is what Creation also is about, getting our physicalities to 'Vayigash' - ' Approach' HaShem, by working on ourselves every day,so that we can welcome HaShem to 'Vayigash,' - 'Approach' us.
Every word in the Torah is a bridge to HaShem.
It is our choice whether we take the bridge or not, but, it is the only way to G-D .Being Good, is fine and special, but HaShem Wants more out of us. HaShem Wants us to emulate Him and 'Vayigash ' - 'Approach ,' Him Closer every day and become more holy every day and the only way to do this is to 'Vayigash' - 'Approach' HaShem , His Way.
May we every day work on ourselves to truly live, by making every action of ours, a 'Vayigash,' an ' Approach ' to HaShem , and may HaShem ' Vayigash,' - 'Approach' us in love , soon in our days , as HaShem always desired . My we desire this too. HaShem Gives us everything. Time keep HaShem's Mitzvos and time to give ourselves back to HaShem in Love.
This is beautiful and special to work on , every day ,to bring ourselves in love, closer and closer every day and every moment to our Creator, HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu.
With love to HaShem, I wish HaShem with Love, a Beautiful Special Shabbos Kodesh with Love and to all, a beautiful special Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Mikeitz Chanukah
Our Parsha this Shabbos that is also Shabbos Chanukah is Parashas Mikeitz.
This Shabbos we also still celebrate the Holy Festival of Chanukah which certainly adds light to the Mikeitz that we will discuss in this Parsha.
In this Parsha,Par'o has two dreams that his necromancers and wise men could not interpret.
Each one came to Par'o with different explanations to his dreams but Par'o knew that their interpretations were wrong.
The reason he knew they were wrong is that HaShem implanted within the dream subconsciously, the hidden interpretation,so that he would know which is subconsciously when the right interpretation was given. Each one of his necromancers came with a different interpretation, playing on the ego of the Pharaoh.
Par'o dreamed two dreams. In the first dream,Par'o was standing over the river ,out of which came seven healthy cows that grazed in the marshland, after which came seven lean cows that came out of the river after the healthy looking cows and stood next to the healthy looking cows. The lean cows then consumed the healthy cows and Par'o awoke.
Par'o then fell asleep again and dreamed a second time of seven healthy ears of grain sprouting from a single stalk and then seven thin ears scorched by the east wind grew after them and swallowed up the seven healthy ears of grain.par'o then awoke.
It is then that the Chamberlain of the Cupbearers remembers Yosef in the Prison and how he interpreted the dreams of the Chamberlain of the Cupbearers and the Chamberlain of the Bakers.
Yosef is quickly attired and brought before Par'o.
Straight away we see Yosef's holy value for he instantly tells Par'o that is is HaShem who interprets dreams and not him and HaShem will respond with Pharaoh's welfare.
Par'o relates the dreams to Yosef and Yosef answers from HaShem how the two dreams are one meaning.
What is interesting is that even though Par'o mentions that he awoke after the dream of the cows,in relating them to Yosef,he doesn't directly say they were two separate dreams. So when Yosef straight away tells Par'o the dreams were two separate dreams,Par'o instantly knows that Yosef is going to be correct for Yosef's response of this fact shows HaShem Working here in Interpreting the Dreams.
As we know, the dreams refer to seven years of abundance to be followed by severe famine and HaShem Hastens to fulfill them.
Yosef suggests a wise overseer to prepare during the years of plenty for the coming of the years of famine.
It is at this moment when things completely turn around for Yosef, and Yosef is made Viceroy over all of Egypt.Yosef is adorned similar to how Mordechai got adorned after haman was removed and that king placed Mordechai in a high position and adorned him similar to how Yosef is now adorned.
Yosef is given a wife called Asenath, who is actually the daughter of Dinah and shechem , grand-daughter of Yaakov who also separated from the family along time before that and also found her way to Egypt and was adopted by Potiphera and his wife.
The story of how Yosef and Asenath came together again is such a sweet miracle. When they were younger,at the time when they lived with the family of Yaakov,Yosef gave her a locket which she always wore and never removed. When Yosef was being accused in Potiphera's home by his wife,it was Asenath who stood up for Yosef and told Potiphera, how it could not have been Yosef at fault , as Zulaicha was left holding onto the back of Yosef's garment thus showing that Yosef must have been running away from Zulaicha's attempts at him,but Yosef was still sent to prison.
Now,when Yosef was being inaugurated by Par'o and being led through the street as Viceroy, she recognized him and threw the locket down to him and they found each other again. So were they married and had two children Manasseh and Ephraim, two children that still kept to holy Yiddishkeit, even in the Diaspora, and so ,on Shabbos eve,we remember their faithfulness to Judaism, by using their names today to bless our children to be like them, for they stood against other beliefs and remained faithful to Judaism.
Par'o gave Yosef a name called 'Zaphenath Paneah,' which meant 'Revealer of the Hidden,' or 'He who explains what is hidden.' The Zohar mentions that this was Divine Providence, for it hid Yosef from his brothers when they came, for they knew not him by this name.
Then , the interpretations HaShem Gave Yosef to Par'o came about and the seven years of plenty were followed by the years of famine.
Due to the famine,Yaakov sent his sons except Binyamin at this time, to Egypt to buy provisions and so, Yosef's dreams start to prove their truth.
Yosef knew they would come and so instructed certain laws to be put in place that would ensure they would have to come before him , like that every one coming would have to give the details of who they were and the name of their Father as well as the place from which they came from .
The brothers always suspected that Yosef might have come to Egypt and so they thought they would use the opportunity to look for him and so they split up and entered through different entries and so, when they came before Yosef, he was apt in calling them 'Meraglim,' - 'Spies.'
The test that Yosef puts them through is never for reasons of revenge, but only to see if they have changed form how they were when they mistreated him and also to give them the spiritual opportunity to make up for what they did.
Yosef puts them in a ward and lets them go on condition that they bring Binyamin back to him and Simeon is kept imprisoned, for it was Simeon who wanted Yosef killed when Yosef was younger.
Yosef has their bags filled and returns the money to their sacks. When they left and found the money back in their sacks, they were filled with anguish, remembering what they had done to Yosef.
When they return to their Father and tell him what happened,Yaakov refuses to let Binyamin go.
Only when the famine becomes more severe does Yaakov finally relent to let Binyamin go,but only on the words of Yehudah.
On returning to Egypt, they are brought to Yosef's house to dine with him and are marveled at how their place settings were set from youngest to oldest.
Yosef lets his brothers refer to their Father as 'your servant our Father,' ten times without a protest and due to this, Yosef loses ten years off his One Hundred and Twenty year lifespan and thus passes away later on at a hundred and ten years of age.
It is then that Yosef lets them see his silver cup which finds its way into Binyamin's sack , as a test for the brothers to see if they would defend a child of Rachel, for when the brothers try again to leave, they are again chased down, the cup found in Binyamin's sack and they are again brought before Yosef.
It is here that Yehudah proves his worth for he shows that the brothers have now learnt their lesson, for he steps forward to confront the Viceroy of Egypt, who is unknowingly to him, his brother Yosef.
It is here where the Parsha ends.
This Parsha is called ' Mikeitz,' which means 'At the End ' for it was exactly at the end of two years to the day that Yosef had stayed another two years extra in prison after the Chamberlain of the Cupbearers and the Chamberlain of the Bakers were let out of prison.
The word 'Mikeitz' has within it , the word 'Ketz' which means ' The End' and is in deep Yiddishkeit , the name referred to as the 'End of Days,' the time of the Final Redemption. So what is the relationship to this event here with Yosef.
So long have we Jews waited for Mashiach and the End of Days, wondering when that will come, hoping for an end of our Galus and pain among our enemies. HaShem Tells us that though Mashiach Tarries, when he finally will come, it will happen like a flood and at the exact moment that it is set for him to appear, he will appear without delay, in HaShem's Time.
This is similar to what happened here with Yosef.Though Yosef tried to get the Chamberlain of the Cupbearers to remember him, the time for his rise had not yet come, so as to fit in with al the events that would surround it.This is like our awaiting earnestly for Mashiach ton come while he appears to tarry.
It was only when HaShem Knew the time was right for Yosef to be freed, then was he freed. The same that will happen with Mashiach , who will come at the appointed time, and not a moment sooner then is ordained by what HaShem Knows is needed and on also how we behave.
When Mashiach does finally come, he will come like a flood , with no delay , the same as what happened to Yosef, for when the time came for him to come to power, it happened at its appointed time and all things then took place very quickly, for he was quickly rushed from the prison, quickly cleaned up and without a delay, brought before Par'o, so HaShem's Will would be Fulfilled , just as it will be at the 'Ketz,' - the ' Miketz' at the End of Days.
Thus, just as Yosef was brought to power at the exact time needed and not a moment later, so will the "Ketz,' the End of Days come at its appointed time.
And even though Par'o stood over the Nile in his dream (for the Egyptians falsely believed the Pharaoh's were deified and created the Nile) and saw he really had no power at all over it and so now would the people, so will all that follow , in this day and age , that which is false and idolworship, so will they realize at the End of Days, how wrong they all are and that there is only One True Path and One True And Only Creator Who Created and Creates Creation , and that is HaShem .
As we have experienced steps of 'Mikeitz,' - ' Ends' throughout the generations, so will the time come when the Final "Mikeitz' Comes where the Whole World will be filled with the Knowledge of of the L-RD as the waters cover the sea.The sooner we all follow G-D as He Requests, the sooner we will bring the final 'Mikeitz,' ushering in the End of Days and Olam Habah - the World To Come .
It also being Chanukah,we count up to the Eighth day ,where all the Eight Candles of Chanukah burn brightly for the miracle of the Eight days the the oil burnt in days of old. Here we note how again the spiritual number of Seven which is Mashiach ,takes us into the next level Eight, the End of Days , which is the Mikeitz .
All things in HaShem's Creation have a purpose so far beyond what we know and can imagine.
We all await the Final ' Mikeitz' - The End of Days and Olam Habah - The World To Come .
May it come soon in our days and may we soon all join our Precious and Beloved Creator HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu The Holy One Blessed Be He.
I wish HaShem with Love a Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh and Chag Chanukah Sameach with Love and to all my fellow Yidden, a beautiful sweet Shabbos Kodesh and Chag Chanukah Sameach with love.

Parashas Vayeishev
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Vayeishev, which sets the stage for the future of the Jewish People.
It is at this point that we, as the Jewish people come to what will become our destiny of being brought to Mitzrayim so as to end up leaving Egypt many years later and so, then receive the Torah on Har Sinai and go on to Canaan. Thus this Parsha is prophetically called 'Vayeishev,' which means 'Settled,' in reference to Yaakov settling in the land of Canaan and prophetically this is the moment that leads in the future to the Jews finally returning to Canaan and settling , in the time after Moshe brings us out of Egypt and Yehoshuah brings us over the Jordan into our own land and so, this moment in this Parsha is the moment that will eventually lead to us 'Vayeishev' - ' Settling' in the Holy land many years later and thus , does the Parsha start by telling us that 'Eileh Toldot Yaakov,' - ' These are the Chronicles of Jacob.'.It is here, where we meet Yosef, son of Rachel and the beginning stages of Yaakov and our people following into Egypt.
So many people want to call themselves the branch of Jews, yet it is only from Yaakov ben Yitzchak ben Avraham, through which Israel comes and only we, went through the hardships of the slavery in Egypt and stood at Har Sinai to receive HaShem's Law and were given the Holy Eretz Yisroel. The true Jew , has had a history of persecution and it is only the Jews, our Jewish antecedents , who have gone through centuries of exile and torture and hatred as Jews, that can be called Jews and the righteous souls that join us as Geirim according to the Laws of Torah Halacha Al Pi Torah Al Pi Halacha Ba Torah Mi Sinai from HaShem .
In this Parsha, our exile and persecution is set , for the results of Yosef going to Egypt, leads to his exile and the following exile and slavery of our Jewish people.
Yosef is the son of Yaakov's beloved Rachel and so, Yosef was a son of Yaakov's 'old age.'
The Torah tells us that Yosef brought 'Et Dibatam Ra'ah,' bad reports to his Father about his brothers, but if we look closer at the word 'Ra'ah,' we see exactly what was Yosef's intention. Yosef was a Tzaddik who always did more than the Law required and so ,never had a bad bone in his whole body.So when Torah says he brought 'Dibatam Ra'ah,' it doesn't refer to Yosef at all meaning to be bad. The word 'Ra'ah' means ' To See.' In other words, Yosef mistakenly perceived and saw that his brothers had done wrong and so he brought 'Et Dibatam Ra'ah' - ' The reports he Saw to his Father. Thus they became bad, because he misunderstood what he saw.His intention was only to correct his brothers and make them more Holy and by reporting them to his Father, he hoped his Father could correct the behavior he had perceived in them.He never for a moment wished them any harm.He only meant them well, but learnt a very strong lesson, not to be so quick to judge 'Ra'ah' - ' what he 'Saw,' for only HaShem Knows all and Sees all. This is something we all do at times, judging what we think we see, but as human beings, we can only see one small perspective of the whole.
The Parsha tells us that Yaakov made a 'Ketonet Pasim,' - ' a fine woolen tunic .'The word 'Pasim' is related to the Word "Pasak,' which means 'to make a gap or disconnect,' which is exactly what happened , for a gap was caused even more between Yosef and his brothers, showing a lesson even for today that one child must never be favored over others. In those days, wearing a tunic or coat , was a sign of royalty and so the brothers took this very badly as if Yosef was being put above them like a king.
This was not what Yaakov was doing at all and here again we have an incident of jumping to the wrong conclusions.Yaakov saw in Yosef a part of himself , and while Yosef was kept at home studying with his Father the other brothers did more physical things and so, Yaakov saw in Yosef a part of himself and a deep desire to only follow spiritual holy pursuits and also saw Yosef's desire to stay as close to HaShem as possible and so, Yaakov felt it right to let the spirituality of the family continue through Yosef and so , made him this woolen tunic that was striped with many colors, for the word 'Pas,' also means 'Striped.'
The dreams of Yosef sparked them off more. Even though he was not meaning to want to take control of his brothers, his genuine desire was to lead the brothers to holier paths and as we see further on in the Torah, that these dreams became completely prophetic, thus via HaShem,he spiritually foresaw part of the future. They were not at all, a show of false ego at all. We see this in Yosef's character when he gets brought to Mitzrayim and how he completely humbles himself to Potiphera, and refuses to be seduced by Potiphera's wife Zulaicha.
The sad story of Yosef unfolds of how he is sent to look on his brothers and meets an angel on the way disguised as a man who tells him, they have gone to Dothan.Within the word 'Dothan' is the word 'Dat' which means 'Law,' thus this is a hint to warn Yosef that his brothers had gone to Judge him.
As we know, the result of this is that Yosef is thrown into a pit of snakes and scorpions and sold of to Ishmaelites who in turn sell him to Midianites. In fact, Yosef gets sold one hundred times before he finally gets to Egypt , to the house of Potiphera , (in ancient Egyptian Arabic 'Potiphara' means the 'Mutilated One' for in Egypt he was well known as not being able to have offspring due to a biological issue) , who casts his eyes on Yosef, wanting Yosef for himself.
The brother's actions got punished centuries later with the Ten Jewish Martyrs at the time of Rome.
The Torah shows how every action we do, is accountable, for as Yaakov came covered in goat skin to his Father Yitzchak before,so now, is his sin atoned, where his sons bring him the tunic dipped in goat's blood and say similar words that Yaakov said to his Father before.
The Parsha then talks of Yehudah and Tamar.
At this juncture, the brothers get angry at Yehudah , blaming him for not stopping them doing this to Yosef and advising them to sell him, for they could not calm their Father's grief, and so Yehudah leaves and also faces atonement for his sin, by losing his first two sons.
Tamar, finally with Yehudah, starts the progeny that will lead to Mashiach. Tamar herself is a very holy woman, being the daughter of Noach's son Shem, and her soul intention was only to have a child from the holy line of Judah, unlike Potiphera's wife Zulaicha who had other intentions with the line of Yosef.Yehudah again atones for his sin, with similar words that Yehudah had used to his Father when he had brought Yosef's tunic covered in blood, when he accuses Tamar and she asks him, whose 'seal, wrap and staff it is.'Yehudah proves his worth by owning up to her and putting aside his own embarrassment.
Yosef too, faces his own atonement, when he is wrongly accused by Zulaicha, even though Potiphera knew deep down that Yosef was innocent.
The Parsha ends with Yosef in prison and HaShem again Being with him , and Giving him the interpretation of the dreams of the Chamberlain of the Cup-bearers , who was put in jail for giving Par'o a cup of wine with a fly in it, and the Chamberlain of the Bakers , who was put in jail due to a stone being in the bread he baked, given to Par'o.
It is interesting that the Torah says , they dreamed a dream and 'each one according to the interpretation of his dream.'There is a deeper meaning here, for each one actually dreamed the interpretation of his own and the other's dream and so when HaShem , through Yosef , gave the interpretation of the dreams, each knew Yosef's interpretation from HaShem was right because HaShem had hidden the interpretation to the dreamer within the dream so when Yosef related HaShem's interpretation, they each knew he was correct from HaShem .HaShem thus Gives us the interpretation of a prophetic dream hidden within the dream and so, when the proper interpretation gets given , we know its the right one.
As HaShem predicted through Yosef, the dreams came true on the third day ,which was Par'o's birthday, but the Chamberlain of the Cup-bearers was made to forget Yosef , as the time was not yet right for Yosef to rise to power. And so ends this Parsha.
This Parsha teaches, that everything in life happens for a reason. The reason may be far beyond our limited comprehension, but all things have a purpose and everything we do is accountable at some time when it is appropriate, for the good.We need to have total faith in HaShem.
This Parsha is truly the 'Vayeishev'- 'Settling ' of the Jewish people, for every stage in the process which leads to the final result, is part of that final result.
In our own lives, we go through hardships , but all is a part of working toward the final goal of bringing ourselves to 'Vayeishev,' - 'Settle' with HaShem. No single incident is without purpose. All things have a reason.
Within the word 'Vayeishev,' is a 'Yud' , which can represent HaShem .This deeply, shows that true 'Settling,' is only with HaShem.
Within the first verse of this Parsha is also the secret to Jewish happiness for the true children of Jacob. The first verse says,' Vayeishev Yaakov B'Eretz M'Gurei Aviv B'Eretz K'na'an,' for a true child of Yaakov, a member of the Jewish people can only feel comfortable and 'Settle,' in the Land of Eretz Yisroel , close to HaShem and following HaShem's Commandments with love. May Moshiach come soon in our days and lead us to sit in the beautiful Light and Warmth of the love of HaShem.
With Love to HaShem, I wish HaShem with love, a Beautiful Sweet and Lovely Shabbos Kodesh with Love and to all , a beautiful sweet and lovely Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Vayishlach
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Vayishlach.
Yaakov had been away from home for thirty four years , which included twenty years with Lavan and fourteen years in the Yeshivah Academy of Shem and Ever.
Eisav,Yaakov's brother still held anger and resentment toward Yaakov ,even though , Eisav was not the true first- born ,for even in the womb , he pushed his brother aside as well as shunning and selling his birthright.
Yaakov knew the threat he and his wives and children faced, coming home and facing his brother.
In this Parsha of Vayishlach, Yaakov sends Malachim - Angels to tell Eisav how Yaakov had sojourned with the spiritually negative Lavan and how Yaakov was protected by HaShem all the way.Yaakov also sent Eisav gifts to try and calm his brother.
The Angels returned to let Yaakov know how Eisav was coming out to meet him in full angry force with four hundred men.
Straight away, Yaakov divided his camp in two, prayed to HaShem for assistance and sent Eisav tributes. Thus Yaakov prepared to meet his brother in three ways, firstly by Prayer to G-D, sending gifts to appease Eisav and preparing for the eventuality of war by dividing his camp in two.
On the way back, Yaakov and his family crossed over the Jabbok and it was here that Yaakov wrestled with the Angel of Eisav till daybreak.Yaakov had taken his family across and returned for some pitchers and it was here that he met a man who asked Yaakov for help to take his things across. Each time Yaakov took the man's things across, Yaakov came back and found that the man's things had returned, making Yaakov have to work throughout the night.Eventually Yaakov challenged this man, thinking this man was using some kind of negative magic and so, a fight broke out , and Yaakov wrestled him till daybreak, realizing that this was no ordinary man, but the Angel of Eisav, which was Samael himself, the Angel that had originally tempted Chava in Gan Eiden.
Yaakov and Samael wrestled till daybreak and eventually Yaakov gained the upper hand ,showing the extreme strength of Yaakov. But in this struggle, the Angel was able to injure Yaakov on his hip socket, showing how, even though we Jews will overcome those that hate us, we will be injured during the long struggle of exile , if we don't stick to studying and following Torah, which (the exile) will continue till Mashiach Comes.
It is also for this reason that we Jews do not eat the Gid Ha Nashe of Basar .
The Angel begged Yaakov to let him go,for it was this Angel's turn to sing Shira to HaShem at that morning watch, but Yaakov insisted he first bless Yaakov (being the angel that protects Edom) .Each nation has its own Sar - its own protective Angel, and this was the protective angel of Eisav. It was these Sarim that Yaakov had seen of the nations Angels , climbing up and down the ladder in his dream in the previous Parsha.Once Yaakov beat this Sar,and had this Sar bless him, it was inevitable that Esav too would fall.
The Parsha them goes on with the meeting between Yaakov and Eisav and the Midrash tells us of the deceitful attempts and intention that Eisav still had toward his brother Yaakov when they met, although they part quietly.
The Parsha then goes on to tell us of the sad abduction of Yaakov and Leah's daughter Dinah at the hands of Shechem, when Dinah went out to look over the daughters of that land.
Yaakov's two young sons Simeon and Levi , at the tender age of thirteen, knowing how these people had broken the Noachide Laws by kidnapping their sister and not judging the perpetrator, and knowing their plan to want to finish off Yaakov's family, decimated the city and the males in it, and rescued their sister.
Yaakov was angry at them and their strong actions.
From there. Yaakov journeyed to Beth El and the Midrash tells of how HaShem watched over Yaakov's family when other nations wanted to attack them.Yaakov continued on to Luz and at Allon Bachut, where the Torah tells us that Devorah, Rivka's wet-nurse passed away. The Torah here is also telling us that Rivka, Yaakov's Mother also passed away. The very word,'Bachut' suggests plural double weeping , thus referring to the passing of both Rivka and Devorah.Rivka's passing is not mentioned openly, so that people would not allude to her son Eisav and his wicked ways.
When Yaakov came to Paddan Aram, HaShem Renames him Yisrael.
When Yaakov headed toward Ephrath , his beloved Rachel went into labor and passed away while giving birth to her second son, which she called 'Ben Oni,' ('Son of my mourning') as she was passing , but Yaakov renamed him 'Binyamin' ('Ben Yamin' - 'Son of my right'. As a sign of strength) .
Yaakov arrived home and met his Father Yitzchak.
Yitzchak passed away at the age of One Hundred and Eighty years.
The Parsha ends with the chronicles of Eisav and how his side of the family intermarried within the family including incestuous unions and mixing with all the enemies of the Jewish people.
The Parsha is called 'Vayishlach,' where Yaakov sent Malachim to Eisav.
The fact that the word 'Vayishlach' starts with a 'Vav' shows it is a continuation of what happened before , where Yaakov left the negative company of Lavan. Malachim - Angels followed Yaakov, out of the Holy land and other Angels also followed Yaakov in the Diaspora. When Yaakov first left the Holy Land, the Angels of the Holy Land left him and were replaced by other Angels that were with him throughout his stay with Lavan. When Yaakov returned to Canaan, those Angels that were with Yaakov outside the Holy Land , left him , and the angels of the Holy land that first escorted Yaakov out, returned to Yaakov to protect him.
Angels are controlled by HaShem , so the very fact that Yaakov could 'Vayishlach' 'Send ' Angels to his brother, shows the Love HaShem Gave Yaakov and the holiness of Yaakov. Yaakov was a man who constantly studied HaShem's Word and thus , HaShem Gave Yaakov command of certain Angels, for HaShem knew, Yaakov would never misuse this trust of power.
The power of following Torah , is so beyond what anyone can imagine.
Yaakov lived a life not for himself, but for HaShem and his Jewish descendants , thus every day, he acted in ways to HaShem that said 'All I do , HaShem , is 'Shelach' - ' For You.'This is within the word 'Vayishlach,' -for 'Va' means 'And', the 'Yud ' refers to HaShem,' and 'Shelach' - 'For You,' so within this word 'Vayishlach,' Yaakov is also saying , 'And All I do, is for You HaShem.'
The first verse of this Sedra shows that the Malachim - Angels were 'Lifnei' -' Before ' Yaakov,' protecting him before he even comes to danger.
This is one of the things that HaShem Sends Malachim to do for us, to protect us before we even get to 'Saconah' - 'Danger .'
So many times a day Does HaShem Protect us without us even knowing it, for HaShem Clears the danger before we even would get to it and we never even know it. HaShem doesn't do it for praise, for we don't even know we were saved. HaShem Does it out of Pure Love for each and every one of us.
All we need to do is love HaShem and love His Commandments and do them.
We need to say to HaShem, all we do, is for You HaShem , not for me, but for You HaShem because we love You .
HaShem Owns all and Makes all yet gives so much to us though His Love to and for us.We need to learn the same, that we are not to live for ourselves, to get things back, but to live every day and every moment , for HaShem and His Creation.
Not to live for ourselves, but to live for G-D ,Who Gives us every breath we breathe.
We must also not forget that , when we keep HaShem's Torah, we too become Malachim of a sort, 'Vayishlach' - 'Sent' by HaShem to bring the World to HaShem's Light.
What a beautiful thought to think HaShem Trusts us to teach the World about Him and bring the World to Heaven.
It all starts with a first step out, toward keeping His Commandments and being His Emissary to bring all we meet , to HaShem.
As Rabban Gamliel the son of Rabbi Yehudah Ha Nasi in Pirkei Avos Chapter 2 :4 says, 'Treat His (HaShem's) Will as if it were your own will, so that He (HaShem) Will Treat your will as if it were His (HaShem's ) Will. So if we act for HaShem and make every move we make, a move to bring about HaShem's Will , then our will will be like HaShem's Will and HaShem Will thus Treat our will as His Will , for our will and wishes will then be what HaShem Wants and the World will be at one with HaShem .
So let us all go out into Creation and be Malachim for HaShem and work together with HaShem to bring Creation to the Will of HaShem.
I wish HaShem with Love, a Beautiful Special Shabbos Kodesh with Love , and to all , a beautiful special Shabbos Kodesh with love.
Parashas Vayeitzei
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Vayeitzei.
In this Parsha Yaakov leaves Be'er Shava and Heads toward Charanah.
In this Parsha we read of the Holy dream that Yaakov had about a Ladder going up to the Heavens.
We also read in this Parsha how Yaakov meets Rachel, his beloved, at a Well, the Holy place where our Holy predecessors met their soul mates.
We read also in this Parsha how Yaakov worked for Lavan and was deceived ,first in marrying Rachel and Leah and then with the sheep and goats. We read also of the birth of Yaakov's children and his wives Rachel and Leah,Bilhah and Zilpah.
The Parsha ends with Yaakov and his family's flight from Lavan and how Lavan catches up to them and the agreement between them.
Our Parsha starts with the words '"Vayeitzei Ya'akov Mi' B' er Shavah Vayeilech Charanah," - " And Jacob Departed toward Beer Sheba and went toward Charan."
Our sages tell us that Yaakov,on leaving Beer Sheba did not go straight to Charanah but spent years in the Yeshivah of Shem and Eiver, preparing himself Spiritually before he faced Lavan and Lavan's negativity. For this reason, the Parsha writes that Yaakov left from Beer Sheba and headed 'Toward' but not directly straight to Charanah. This teaches us a very valid lesson that each day we go out into the World,we must Spiritually prepare ourselves for the negativity we may come across in this physical World, by praying regularly to HaShem and every day Studying HaShem's Holy Torah .There are lots of hooks in this World that try pull us down Spiritually and it is our duty to turn these hooks of Kelipah from negativity to release the Light within and make the Light Shine Stronger. This was Yaakov.
Yaakov was a man that was always going toward Holiness, even in his trials and tribulations and so, must we do likewise.Tests and problems one faces in life are there to help improve us and release the goodness and holiness within. They are not there for the purpose of making us stumble, but rather to help us work on ourselves from within. The true value of a person gets released when that person has to extend themselves into the realm of Spiritual effort that releases the light within. The very fact that the word "Vayeitzei" used for Yaakov leaving Beer Sheva shows that Yaakov was leaving the stage he was at , at that time and "Vayeilech" Going Toward higher Spiritual Holy Things. This is True Life and True Living, working toward one's inner Holiness day by day helping oneself grow and coming closer toward the true inner person one truly is.
We are told in the Midrash that Yaakov at first went past the Holy Place of Moriah and then went back to It, for he realized that when passing past a place of a great Mitzvah , a Jew should pray there and so he returned to This Holy Site of Moriah, where the great Happening of his Grandfather Avraham and the Akeidah with his Father Yitzchak had taken place and HaShem Rewarded him with a Great Vision, his holy dream. It was here that Yaakov prayed in the evening and so Maariv - Evening prayers is attributed to him .
While Yaakov left his family , he wondered himself if he would still be worthy to be the Father of the Twelve Tribes of Israel and so when he arrived at the Holy Place of his dream which would be the future site of the Temple,he took Twelve Stones and laid them around his head saying that if he was truly worthy , these stones would all become one.We see that when he awoke, only one stone is mentioned, showing how HaShem Answered him and made these twelve stones into one (verse 18).
Yaakov's Dream was of a ladder .The Hebrew Words for ladder here is 'Sulam,' which has the Gematrical value of 130 , which is the same as the Gematrical value of the Hebrew Word 'Sinai,' (Stone Chumash),which was the Mountain on which the Torah was given, thus showing that Torah is the pathway to climb to Holiness, like the Ladder of Yaakov.
On this Ladder, the angels were going up and down on its rungs as the nations through history would climb and fall, yet the Jewish people would climb to eternity with those people who follow HAShem Only.Yaakov saw many angels , which represented the different nations through History, for HaShem Gave every nation , its own 'Sar' its own Angel tto speak for it in the Heavenly Court.yaakov saw far into the future and noticed that the Angel of Edom/Esau kept climbing , and so Yaakov was perplexed. HaShem assured Yaakov that this represented only the current long Exile that would have an end point at the Coming of Mashiach.
Yaakov awoke after HaShem Blessed him and his progeny and realized the Holiness of this Place.
Yaakov took the 'Stone' ,set it up as a pillar and poured oil on it and named the Place , " Beit El " - 'The House of G-D' and Yaakov vowed to tithe to HaShem , which was fulfilled by Yaakov giving one of his sons - Levi to serve HaShem as Levi's Portion and do HaShem's Work in the Temple.
Great Holiness is not something one can gain in an instant with a quick action or following someone false.Holiness takes work , every day growing one step at a time and working all the time on one's Middos and Sefirah .There are many parts to the body and many facets to the Neshoma - Soul and this takes work and only Torah and HaShem's Commandments that must be followed , to get one to where one needs to go .
Each one of us in this World, has our own personal Ladders to climb through life to get us to HaShem.Every day , every moment is must be a step up to G-D to achieve true Living .
Let us not be like Lavan who , at the end of the Parsha goes back to his same place level of unholiness , but let us be like Yaakov , who continues to Spiritually Grow with each new day and each new experience.
The destination for each one of us is HaShem .
There are Malachim - Angels , which can sometimes be people along the way that are there to guide and help us along the path of life and if we are true to ourselves and Faithful to our Creator, then we certainly will get to our destination of HaShem in peace .
HaShem waits at the top for all of us. All we need to do is Love Him and Follow Him Wholeheartedly and keep his Torah always and then we will see at the end , that like Yaakov's Stones that became one at the end , all the many trials and tests we faced through our sojourns , will show its One and Only True Purpose , to bring us up to HaShem in Heaven.
Then we will see from HaShem , that all that we went through , was only by HaShem's Love. For Heaven is Eternal as is the Love of HaShem .
With Love to HaShem , I wish HaShem with Love a Sweet and Beautiful and Blessed Shabbos Kodesh with Love and to all , a sweet and beautiful Blessed Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Toldos
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Toldos.
This Parsha continues with the offspring of Yitzchak and Rivka.
In this Parsha,Rivka, the wife of Yitzchak, sees her difficult pregnancy and seeks advice from HaShem,Who relays the answer through Shem, Noach's Son , as to why she is in so much pain and why the agitation within her.
Rivka, who was at first barren,is Blessed with Children, when Yitzchak prays.
The pain she was going through was beyond the normal pain and discomfort of being pregnant and the children she was carrying agitated within her.She noticed that when she would walk past a place of holiness to HaShem, one of the children she was carrying (Yaakov) would agitate in earnest , wanting to go into the holy place , and when she would walk past a place of idols, the other child (Eisav) would agitate within her , wanting to enter the idol place.
So she went to inquire of HaShem, 'Why was she thus.'
She was told that two nations were within her , that would follow very different paths, one of Holiness (Yaakov) and the other of negativity (Eisav). These regimes were even in conflict, within her.
When her term came to have her children, the one that was actually to be the first eldest born - Yaakov was pushed aside, by Eisav , who came out first , thus becoming the first born by dishonesty , and his brother Yaakov, who was actually to come out first, was pushed second and came out grabbing onto the heel (Eikev- in Hebrew) of his brother Eisav.
We notice that this Parsha repeats that these are the offspring of Yitzchak , once to show these are their continuing generations and secondly, to make it clear that Yitzchak was definitely the son of Avraham , for. People at the time tried to falsely say that Yitzchak was Avimelech's son (of the Pelishtim), so HaShem ensured that Yitzchak would come out looking physically like his Father Avraham, leaving no doubt that he was , as this Parsha starts by showing , 'Avraham begot Yitzchak.'
We also notice that the Matriarchs,Sarah and Rivka and Rachel (and also Channah later on in history) were at first unable to have children), so HaShem was Showing that the line of the Jewish people, was totally miraculous by HaShem's Direct Will.
The Children were born and one, Yaakov spent his time wanting to study in 'Ohelim' - 'Tents,' with his Grandfather Avraham, while Eisav was a man of hunting, a man of the field.
It happened later on, that Eisav had come in from the field completely exhausted, and found his brother making lentil stew. The reason that Yaakov was doing this was because his precious Grandfather Avraham had just passed away and while Yaakov was busy mourning Avraham, Eisav, caring little, was out hunting. That particular day, Eisav had gone hunting to kill the son of Nimrod (the son of the Nimrod who had built the tower of Bavel), whose name happened to also be Nimrod, so as to take his coat which Nimrod's family had taken , that was originally the garment given by HaShem , to clothe Adam Ve Chava when they were chased out of the Garden of Eden). Eisav had spent a lot of time and strength chasing after Nimrod that day and so, after killing him, was completely exhausted.
When he came to Yaakov and sold the Birthright to Yaakov, in truth, it was actually Yaakov's , for remember how Eisav had pushed Yaakov aside to cheat being the firstborn. When Eisav said 'he was about to die so of what use was the birthright to him,' he referred to this also in a spiritual sense, as if to say he knew he was bad and a holy future reward, would not be in his future.
The Parsha then discusses how Avimelech and the Plishtim chased Yitzchak away and the issues over the wells his father Avraham had dug.And the common antisemitic Worldly chasing away of the Jew through time. The Names of the Wells, have a prophetic essence to the future Temples to come.
Of course , when the Plishtim saw that they were not blessed at sending Yitzchak away they went to try to get him back.
The Parsha then tells us that Eisav married at the same age as his father had married, at the age of forty, as Eisav's usual false pretense at holiness , but to unfit unholy Hittite women, showing that Eisav was certainly not whom the line of Holy Judaism should go through and so, the next stage started ,of saving the line of holiness.
It was then that Yitzchak called Eisav to prepare him delicacies so Eisav could be Blessed. Rivka who heard ,helped prepare Yaakov to go in, instead of his brother, so as to save the Blessing from going to an evil source.
Eisav spent many hours chasing for the hunt so as to try get the Blessing , he had previously given up in , when he gave up the Birthright, yet still tried to get it.When Eisav could not catch an animal for his hunt, as the Malachim kept him on the run unable to catch anything, in fierce anger, Eisav returned home empty handed and deceitfully and murderously killed the family dog , so as to bring it prepared to his Father.
But by this time, Yaakov had finished receiving the Blessing.
Deep within Yitzchak, Yitzchak's soul knew it was really Yaakov he was blessing, for Yitzchak had said to Yaakov, ' The Hands are the Hands of Eisav (the action) but the voice (of sweet polite holy intentions to save the good for HaShem ) is the voice of Yaakov.' When Yitzchak Blessed Yaakov, Yitzchak clearly so something that could only have fitted for Yaakov who was holy and not Eisav when Yitzchak said,'The Fragrance of my son is like the fragrance of a Field which HaShem had Blessed.' In other words with Yaakov , came the smell of the Garden of Eden, from a holy man of Torah Learning.
When Eisav realized he had lost both the Birthright and the Blessing he cried out three very bitter cries, which have echoed through our Jewish History when Eisav's descendants have so hurt us, when we didn't do right by Torah.
The Parsha ends with Yaakov being sent of to Charan to the house of Lavan, the brother of Rivka. Yitzchak here clearly acknowledges the Blessings to Yaakov, showing they belong to Yaakov and his descendants.
The Parsha ends by Eisav going to Yishmael and taking his daughter Mahalath , after Yishmael died,as another wife.
One has to ask how such a negative personality could come out of two very holy parents as Yitzchak and Rivka.
Let us not forget that the family from which Rivka came, were idolworshippers, yet Rivka herself remained totally pure and holy,
So that part of the strain from Lavan's family, had to remove itself and separate from the Jewish line. And so it split away between Yaakov and Eisav so that Yaakov's line could continue without that Tum'a of Lavan and his people.
One line , Yaakov, would be the builders of holiness and the Holy Temples and the teachers of Monotheism of The One and Only True G-D and the teachers of HaShem's Torah , and the other line of Eisav Edom , would be the progenitors of the Roman Empire that would spread paganism and false mythology, and the people who would desecrate the Holy Temple.
This fight is as old as the time of Adam and Chava and the World then, where Good and Evil battle it out on the stage of the physical World.
The true holy path is always the one that follows HaShem's Wishes, while the opposite negative path is the one that turns away.
The turning away, doesn't even have to be of a significant difference in the beginning of stepping off the path.
All it takes are small little steps away bit by bit, till one is so far away from the truth that one is no longer following truth at all.It is similar to coming to a split in the road with two choice paths, that at the start only separate slightly at the beginning at a slight difference in angle , but further down the line, one cannot any longer see one path anymore that is now far from the other.
Such is the danger of lessening on even one Law of the Torah Chas Ve Shalom. It only starts by changing one Law.And further down the line , one is no longer following the Torah anymore Chas Ve Shalom .
This is a great danger with living in a secular society. For there are many worthless physical temptations that work to pull the Jew from the our destiny and path Chas Ve Shalom , sometimes only one small step at a time, and before one know it, one has Chas Ve Shalom forgotten the holiness of our history and Torah. To keep the Torah means to keep all of It, and not choosing which sounds most pleasant to follow. Who are we to decide what G-D Knows we need.
It is up to G-D Alone and no one else , that every Jew should follow Torah True.
This is the path of the Jew.
Any other path, leads away.Even one small step at a time.
It is not so much that we Jews Keep The Shabbos and Torah, as much as the Shabbos and The Torah in reality, actually Keep us. As For centuries ,Torah and Shabbos Observance has ensured the survival of the Jewish People, and our Continuation in this World that so tries to lead us away and astray Chas Ve Shalom. It is only when we Keep Torah and Shabbos, that we defeat the attempts of Eisav and the other Worldly forces that try to remove us . HaShem Chose the Jew to be the teacher of HaShem's Oneness, through HaShem's Holy Torah. It is our duty as a Jew, to ensure this World learns of HaShem's Oneness and that we remain as always learned 'People of the Book' as we were called, for it is our Jewish task to bring HaShem's Oneness to others. This starts with a choice in the beginning, as every child has , as Yaakov and Eisav had, to always choose Torah as Yaakov did , rather than one's own way as Eisav did.
And if we choose the right path, then the first words of this Parsha shines through, and these first words are 'Eileh Toldos,' which means 'These are the offspring,' but within these words are the Hebrew Words ' EL Le Didi,' which means 'For me is my Beloved G-D,' so if we or I live every moment for G-D and do what HaShem Wants, so will I and we come close to G-D , for then 'Beloved G-D will be with me .' Follow on the path of G-D Only and count yourself among the followers of HaShem and His Creation.
The Creation took place near the end of the Hebrew Month of Elul. The Word Elul has within it these words I just mentioned that are within the first two words of this Parsha.Within the word Elul, is the Hebrew saying formed with each of the letters of the word Elul from Shir Ha Shirim of Shlomo Ha Melech, 'Ani Le Dodi Ve Dodi Li' 'I am to My Beloved (HaShem) and My Beloved (HaShem) is Mine .' So the beginning words of this Parsha show within it the Creation of Creation and HaShem's Love for His Creation and how, if all of us follow HaShem's Laws, we will Come Close to HaShem and we will show HaShem , by following HaShem's Mitzvos, that HaShem is our Beloved .Every Mitzvah we follow shows HaShem our total Beloved Faith in Him that He is The One and Only Creator Who Created All Things. And if we teach our Offspring to follow in HaShem's Ways, we become Close with our Creator , showing our Creator one of the greatest acts of Beloved Love .
I wish HaShem With Beloved Love , a Beautiful Beloved Shabbos Kodesh with Love and to all, a beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.
