Our Parsha is 'Miketz' this Shabbos."Vayehi Miketz," - "And it happened at the end."This was exactly two years since the Chamberlain of the Cupbearers had been released from prison.Yosef had been in prison for twelve years and it was now time for him to be freed.The fact that is was exactly two years, shows that everything has a specific time to happen and not before according to our actions.When HaShem ordains things by our actions,then,it will happen as HaShem wishes it to happen.When HaShem has had enough "Dai" in Hebrew which has the same Gematrical value as the Hebrew word "Miketz." Though time can sometimes lag on,when HaShem Ordains,nthen it will come like a flood.This is thge same as the coming of Mashiach.Though 'he may tarry,' and we wait centuries,through difficult times and torture (as a Jewish people) when HaShem will bring on the end times,it will come like a flood.As this verse says "Vayehi Miketz Sh'nataim Yamim," -"To the Day," - on the exact day that HaShem says so.The time had come for Yosef to show that HaShem is the One and Only.Up until now,this Pharoah did not acnowledge any other power but himself,but now he saw that he could not even understand the meaning of his own dream and nor could anyone else that he asked.It came through the Neshoma of a Jew - a Yid - the Yad of HaShem. That is what we Jews are to be.We are to make this world a Holy place.We are to be a light unto the nations,teaching the true One HaShem.When we Jews do not do this,we do not fulfill our task with the nations.We have been given a beautiful special task to be the representatives of our Holy Creator to bring HaShem's Light and Shechinah to every part of this world.This is a Holy responsibility that we have been entrusted with.A responsibily that HaShem Blessed us with.A responsibility that HaShem gave us with much love.We cannot turn Him down.This path is a path of Torah and Holy example to the nations - a path of Kashrut - a path of our Holy Shabbos - a path of HaShem's Commandments that we are entrusted with, so that the very light of our precious Torah can shine out of us,to every man woman and child in this world .A path to bring light to all.This is what Yosef did.This is what each one of us can do.HaShem watches and sees all and if we stay close to Him and follow ,out of love , that which The Creator of all asks is to follow,then HaShem can and will "Miketz" - bring on the end time.Right now the End Time seems so far away.Almost like an object we are not permitted to touch on Shabbos that is "Muktzeh (the same root as "Miketz).""This is not how the "End Times" are to be.They are to be a time that is within reach,within our grasp,if only we would put our own feelings aside and listen to Our Creator Blessed Be He.HaShem would graciously bring on our "Miketz" - our end times.This is also Chanukah,when we fought against those who would lead us astray and against our own people who wanted to follow other ways that were not of HaShem.There is only one wayy- HaShem's way.When the Maccabees sought to do the right thing,HaShem brought victory and the miracle of thr oil.HaShem brought an end "Miketz" to our enemies.So must we work to follow HaShem only and bring all our people back to the true path of Torah- HaShem's Way.
