The Shabbos Parsha is Bechukosai which takes us to the end of the Third Book of the Torah , The Book of Vayikra . In this Sedra , HaShem Gives the basis of choice of living in this World and the result that comes from the choice we make . HaShem Gives us a choice to either Abide By HaShem And Be Blessed By HaShem , or turn away From HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom and be cursed . This is the basis of the choice of living . HaShem Does Not Make us robots , But Gives us the opportunity to choose our own road to travel and with it , the destination we come to . From the very first moments of Creation , HaShem Put into Creation , HaShamayim and HaAretz - The Heavens and The Earth . If we Hearken To The Voice Of HaShem , we make for ourselves A Path Of And To Brochas , but if we do not , Chas Ve Shalom , we set ourselves up for many sevens of groups of punishment , as this Sedra teaches . There Is Only One Way To Travel And That Is HaShem's Way . This Sedra first discusses the Blessings and then the Curses . The Curses sound very harsh and are much longer then the Blessings and this is due to human nature having a Yetzer Horah that needs strictness at times . But even in these Curses and these negative things that come upon the Wrong-doers , there is , With Well Meaning HaShem , A Hidden Blessing Within Each Curse , where each Curse can be turned around into a Blessing if only we would listen To HaShem and put our own wishes and wants aside . So if we listen , all the Curses will be turned the other way around and become Blessings . All Curses are thus designed to eventually bring the Jew Back To HaShem In Obedience . As strong as these Tochachah Admonitions sound , Listening To HaShem's Decrees And HaShem's Mitzvos , will lead us all back to our intended destiny With HaShem . These Tochachah Admonitions Were Said By HaShem , where as the Tochacha in The Book of Devarim , were related by Moshe Rabbeinu . The Haftorah for this Sedra is in Yirmeyahu 16 : 9 - 17 : 4 and speaks with the same ideas of choosing to Obey HaShem . The Path To HaShem Is To Follow HaShem's " Bechukosai " - " Decrees " And Laws . Then HaShem Can Let us all go to Shamayim , Where HaShem's Love Will Abound . Shamayim can just be a choice away , depending on what we choose . HaShem's Blessings Are Endless , so may we all choose the Right Path , The Path of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . We see that the Admonitions Tochachah are in sets of seven just as if we would be righteous , Shamayim Heaven has Seven main Levels Of Heaven . Again our choice which we Get Given . Each level of Admonitions , brought about by our going further and further away From HaShem And HaShem's Commandments , takes us deeper into the mire just as each step away From HaShem takes us further away From The Holy Righteousness Of HaShem . As Rashi teaches following Sifra , regarding the sevens that keep being mentioned , this number seven refers to seven components , where each time for seven sins we do leads to seven Admonitions . Other Commentators like Rashbam and Ibn Ezra teach that these seven are more figurative referring to more than seven as we learn in the Stone Chumash . Each sin brings upon us an Admonition in steps just as what we do Good or Bad takes us up or down in steps . The first set refers to if we do not study Torah Chas Ve Shalom , stop performing Mitzvos Chas Ve Shalom , look down on those who do remain loyal to Torah Chas Ve Shalom , hate the teachers of Torah Chas Ve Shalom , stop those who want to follow Torah from doing so Chas Ve Shalom , trying to deny that The Torah Came From HaShem Chas Ve Shalom and to even go as far as denying HaShem Chas Ve Shalom , these seven bring on seven Admonitions of swelling lesions , burning fever , frustrated longing , sowing seeds in vain that the enemy will eat , being struck down before our enemies , being subjugated and fleeing with no one pursuing . If despite this we still do not heed HaShem , Then HaShem Will Punish us Further seven ways for our sins . The Temple will be Destroyed , Heaven will be like iron , the Earth will be like copper , our strength will be spent in vain , the Land will not give its produce , trees will not yield their fruit and the trees will drop their fruit before they get ripe . If we still behave To HaShem with casualness Then HaShem Shall Respond With A Further Blow seven ways like our sins . HaShem Will Incite Against us Wild Beasts ( which also refers to human enemies ) , domestic animals , poisonous snakes , the death of children , loss of livestock , us being diminished as a population and our roads being desolate . If we still go against HaShem Chas Ve Shalom and behave casually with HaShem Chas Ve Shalom , Then HaShem Will Behave Toward us With Casualness , Striking us Seven Ways for our sins , Bringing Upon us the sword of our enemies avenging our breaking of The Covenant that we made With HaShem at Har Sinai , being besieged and being forced to remain within the city , the plague , shortage of food , lack of fuel , bread crumbling into little pieces and constant hunger . If despite this we still do not heed HaShem and behave toward HaShem with casualness , Then HaShem Will Behave Toward us With A Fury Of Casualness , Seven Ways For our sins . We will eat our own children , for hunger will be extreme due to total lack of food , our lofty buildings will be destroyed including places of Avodah Zorah ( anything that is Forbidden By HaShem - the lofty buildings and idols that were those that were wrongly relied upon for defence and safety , which was so wrong As It Is Only In HaShem , That we Must Put our Trust in , for we did not put our Faith In HaShem Only To Watch Over us but rather in our own insignificant human abilities and false beliefs and pagan idol worship ) , death of the people , sadly the loss of our Closeness To HaShem's Shechinah Withdrawing Itself , our cities will be destroyed , our sanctuaries will be desolate And HaShem Will not accept our Offerings . We will be scattered among the nations in Galus Exile and the Holy Land will be desolate of us so that it can be appeased for its Sabbaticals , For HaShem Commanded us to let the Land lie fallow during the Sabbatical year and if we do not do this , Then HaShem Ensures That the Land will rest in our absence ( Shabbos 33a - Stone Chumash ) . When we get brought to the land of our enemies then we will wake up to our situation and remember HaShem And HaShem's Commandments And So Then Merciful And Very Beloved HaShem Will Save us With An Everlasting Salvation that we Jews are Given By HaShem , Who Will Never Break His Covenant And Tie With us Jews Forever - Yeshayahu Isaiah 45 : 17 . HaShem Then Discusses Gifts to the Temple and Valuations as we grow and Vows , the Sanctifying of and Redemption of Animals , Houses and Fields , Segregated Property and Tithes and Ends this Parsha of " Bechukosai , " and The Book of Vayikra Leviticus Torath Kohanim with saying , " Eileh Ha Mitzvos Asher Tzivah HaShem Es Moshe el B'nei Yisrael Behar Sinai " - " These are the Commandments That HaShem Commanded Moshe to the Children of Israel On Mount Sinai , " For All The Laws Were Given By HaShem On Har Sinai Mount Sinai Including The Written Laws And Their Interpretations And Daily Keeping Of Them From Generation To Generation and they were Revealed To us all On Har Sinai By HaShem , All their Intricacies And Explanations And Their Depths And Their Oral Understanding And Definitions . This Sedra starts with the words , " Im Bechukosai Teileichu V'es Mitzvosai Tishmeru Va'Asitem Otam , " - " If you will follow My Decrees and observe My Commandments and perform them , " then the most wonderful Blessings will abound . But Should HaShem's Laws be ignored and treated with casualness , then such choice on our part will bring about its own deserved Curses From HaShem . The epitome of ' casualness ' is Amalek who tries to remove HaShem from the World , Chas Ve Shalom and tries to take All Things That HaShem Miraculously Does , with casualness . When we came out of Mitzrayim , all the nations were in awe at The Miracles That HaShem Performed For us and there was at the time a great feeling For HaShem in the World . Amalek wanted to cool this fervour down and make it into a casualness , to try and remove The Essence for HaShem in the World , HaShem's World . All the other nations steered clear of The Children of Israel , but Amalek attacked us from the back , not fearing HaShem . Some of them even dug tunnels under ground and suddenly came up behind us . So an action of ' casualness ' is an action like Amalek . An action we are to steer very well clear of . We thus need to keep HaShem's Commandments with fervour and cancel out any feelings of ' casualness . ' May the World come to follow HaShem Only . The word " Im " - " If , " shows The Fairness Of HaShem , As HaShem Wants us kindly to follow His Decrees And Laws on our own , to choose HaShem With Love . That is the best show of love , if it comes from within us on our own and by our own choice . HaShem Gives us a free choice , unlike most of the Malachim - Angels who have to obey His Commandments without choice . So HaShem Puts us on a very trusted level , Hoping we will Love HaShem enough To Obey Him , For The Love Of HaShem . The Commands That we Are Given By HaShem , is for our own sake and betterment . The word " Bechukosai " - " My Decrees , " has within it the word ' Chok , ' which refers to a decree that we must keep Without an explanation or a full understanding From HaShem . This again is a great show of love , as to keep a Law without even a deeper understanding of it , is a greater show of love , for there is not even the satisfaction of knowing the why's , but Obedience to it is purely for the Love and Faith and Bitachon and Trust In HaShem , Who Knows Best . This is like the era of Mashiach , such a deep era that comes With Love From HaShem . The word " Bechukosai " comes to 520 in Gematria and these numbers add up to 7 ( 5 + 2 + 0 ) , the same as the Gematrical value of the word Mashiach , showing that one of the ways to bring Mashiach , is to love HaShem with a pure trusting love and follow Him wholeheartedly with pure trust and faith , That HaShem Knows Better in all things . The Way That HaShem Wants us to keep His Decrees and Mitzvos is to " Teileichu , " - to " Follow " them without question , with a perfect Faith and Trust In Him . This suggests again a choice of ours not just to wait for a Mitzvah to come along , but to go after it , desperately wanting to fulfil it with love - to " follow " after it with a full heart . To Follow HaShem Only And HaShem's Decrees And Mitzvos Only , to not just observe them " Tishmeru , " but also to ' Shomer ' ( the root word within " Tishmeru " ) , to ' Guard ,' them and make sure that they are never broken Chas Ve Shalom and then to " Va' Asitem Otam " - " And Do them " with our whole being , body and soul and heart . If we can get to a stage like that , then we will warrant to go beyond the time of Mashiach ( the number 7 ) and bring about Olam Habah , the step after Mashiach comes , represented as it starts with the number 8 and if we count the words in the first verse of this Parsha in this Sedra in this Third Book of the Torah Vayikra - the Book of the Priests , we see that there are 8 words in the verse . Often in Yiddishkeit , we have the idea of the holy 7 leading into 8 , like the Shabbos that will continue when it becomes Eternal to us , or the counting of the Omer for Seven Weeks and then that next day ( 50th day ) is the 8th day after that 7th week . So if we continue to do these things , we can Be Blessed to step into Olam Habah The World To come Close to HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Eternally Beloved HaShem With Forever Special Love , A Very Special And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With Eternal And Forever Love and Chodesh Tov this week With Love and to all my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Very Special And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov with love .

This Torah Post I dedicate to my Beloved Holy Ima a " h . May HaShem Bless my beloved Ima a " h With Abundant Brochas and Bless my Beloved Ima a " h with Peace , Tranquillity and Everlasting Happiness In Shamayim Close To HaShem . The Shabbos Parsha is Parashas Behar . The Sedra begins teaching us of the Shemittah year , the Sabbatical Seventh Year , when we are in the Land of Israel , that we are to let our Land lie fallow and not sow our field or prune our vineyard . Just As HaShem Commanded At The Beginning Of Creation , that we are to Keep The Sabbath , the Seventh Day and do no manner of Work at all , so are we to do the same with our Fields and Vineyards . The number Seven in Judaism is a holy number . There are Seven days to the week within Creation and Seven Years in the Shemittah Year . There are Seven words in the first verse of Bereishis In The Holy Torah . We await Moshiach , whose Gematriah is Seven . HaShem Made Six Days of Creation and the Seventh Day is Holy To And For HaShem And Is The Holy Shabbos . We have Seven weeks , in the Omer that we count toward Holiness that we are right now in the process of counting , when we received The Ten Commandments after Seven Weeks after coming our of Egypt , where on that very next day after the Seven Weeks , on that Fiftieth Day , like the Fiftieth Year of the Yovel Year , on that Fiftieth Day after Coming from Mitzrayim , is Shavuot , When HaShem Revealed Himself To us On Har Sinai , like this Parsha is called " Behar ( Sinai ) " - " On Mount ( Sinai ) . " There are Seven Days , where a male boy born has to have gone through a Shabbos , where on the next day after the Seventh Day , on that Eighth Day , he is given a Bris . We Jewish males , wind the Tefillin around the arm Seven times . Though there are Five Books in the Torah , we are told that there is a separation in a certain verse place of the Torah , which would make it Spiritually Seven Books . This verse is in Bamidbar Numbers 10 : 35 - 36 , that we recite when returning the Torah to the Ark . There are Seven Heavens and Seven Main Levels to Shamayim with umpteen levels of Seven in between , as the Spiritual Firmament . Moshe was the Seventh generation from and including Avraham , for the Seven Generations from Avraham , were Avraham , Yitzchak , Yaakov , Levi , Kohath , Amram and Moshe . And there are many other examples of the Holiness of the Number Seven , like Shabbos being the Seventh Day of Creation and the Seventh Day of the week . When it comes to the Shabbos and the Shemittah Year , we are to put Total Trust and have Total Faith In HaShem that when we do not work our Fields for the whole year , HaShem Will Still Bless us And Provide For us . Just the same as we are not to go to work on Shabbos In Full Faith In HaShem , That HaShem Will Bless us . To keep the Shabbos shows Complete Faith In HaShem's Creation . Creation took place in six days and so , to Keep Shabbos That HaShem Created , shows our Faith and Belief That HaShem Created the other Six Days and all that HaShem Created in them . The Shemittah Year , for the Land of Israel , is the same kind of show of Faith , That HaShem Creates all things And In Him is our Parnassa , our livelihood and all that we need for living . The very fact that we stop our every day occupation and give this Day of Shabbos For HaShem , spending Quality Time With HaShem , putting our own Physical wants aside , shows that we Acknowledge that Creation Is HaShem's Creation and that all that is , Belongs To HaShem . The same is with the Shemittah Year , where we work our Fields for Six Years and in the Seventh Year , we stop and acknowledge HaShem's True And Rightful Ownership Of the Field . The very fact of not working the Field in the Sabbatical Year , shows that we know that the Fields and all and everything in Creation does not belong to us at all and that all things in Creation are on loan From HaShem . During this Sabbatical Year we are to open up our Fields for our neighbours and the poor of the Land . What A Beautiful Kind Law Of HaShem . How Giving Is HaShem . Thus in this Sabbatical Year , we make and state that the Land is ' Ownerless . ' The Land Always and Forever , Is Always HaShem's . We are then to count Seven Cycles of Sabbatical Years , making Forty Nine Years and then in the Seventh Month , on the Tenth of the Month , Yom Kippur , we are to sound a broken blast of the Shofar throughout the Land and Sanctify the Fiftieth Year , proclaiming Freedom throughout the Land for all it's inhabitants and those who are serving , such is the Yovel Jubilee Year , where each man you shall return to his ancestral heritage and each man you shall return to his family . The Jubilee Year , is the year that all slaves go free . On it , just like the Shemittah Year , you shall not sow or harvest . Thus , in the Jubilee Year , the Land will have stayed fallow for two years long , the Jubilee Year and the Shemittah Year just before it . Torah also Teaches that in the Jubilee Year , Land is returned to its original owner . Torah Goes Through the different Laws of how Land is Redeemed , depending on whether it was in a Walled or Un-Walled City in the Land of Israel in the time of Yehoshuah's Conquest of the Land . HaShem's Torah Also Discusses the Levite Cities And Then Talks of the Poor , that we are to take care of the Poor . The Laws of the Jewish Slave are discussed and how we must redeem our impoverished brothers as soon as possible . The Parsha also reminds us From HaShem that we are His Servants whom HaShem Took Out Of the Land of Mitzrayim and thus are we not to remain servants to human masters for we are only under HaShem . This is also a deep Law reminding us never to make any human into a False Deity and that we must never put them above us , For Only HaShem Is G-D . The Parsha ends with reminding us not to make idols or statues or pillars in Eretz Yisrael for idol worship , or a flooring stone as the pagans and idol worshippers do , upon which to prostrate oneself for prayer to idols , Chas Ve Shalom , For Only HaShem Is HaShem our G-D and that we are to observe HaShem's Shabbos And HaShem's Sanctuary , For HaShem Is HaShem , The One And Only True G-D . HaShem Also Discusses the need to help a fellow Jew who is impoverished and in a desperate financial situation . We are also not to take interest and increase from our fellow Jew . We are taught how to treat a Jewish Slave with the same caring as we would like for ourselves . One may not take advantage of him in any way or assign him tasks that we ourselves would not do . How the Teaching of Reb Hillel so often shows itself in Torah of not doing to others that which we would not want done to ourselves . The Parsha ends With HaShem Instructing us not prostrate on a flooring stone , nor may we follow Avodah Arah - Idol worship Chas Ve Shalom . We are To Honour HaShem's Shabboses And HaShem's Sanctuary . The Haftorah for this Sedra is in Jeremiah 32 : 6 - 27 and it deals with Redemption of land just as it does in the Parsha . The Parsha is called " Behar " - " Mount , " where this ' Har ' - ' Mount , " as the next word shows , refers to Har Sinai - Mount Sinai . The Parsha talks of these Laws Of Shemittah Being given On Har Sinai , even though it is only mentioned now long after we Jews had already left Har Sinai . There is a reason for this . HaShem Is Telling us That All The Laws were given then and is to continue on forever . Every Jew carries within our Neshoma - Soul , Har Sinai And HaShem's Holy Revelation There When HaShem Came Down On The Mountain . It directly says in Torah That ' HaShem Came Down , ' which as Rabbi Manis Friedman puts it , this ' Coming Down ' Refers To HaShem Bringing Himself Down To us And Thus Making Himself Vulnerable . This suggests That HaShem Opened Himself Up To us , Thus Putting Himself In The Vulnerable Position Of Being Exposed To us And Allowing Himself To Be Hurt by us . And that is very sadly exactly what happened when the Chait Ha Eigel the Golden Calf was made . HaShem Exposed Himself And Put Himself In The Position To Be Hurt , By Being Vulnerable . How sad that we Hurt Him . HaShem Opened Himself Up To Bring us Closer To Him . This Is What HaShem Does All The Time . HaShem Is Always Calling us Close To Him. If only we would Listen and Heed Him . Every Jew carries Har Sinai Within , The Time When HaShem Came Down To Reveal Himself To us . The whole Essence of this Event Was One Of Pure Humility Where HaShem Humbled Himself To Come Down To us . Even Har Sinai at the time was not the tallest Mountain so why was it chosen ? At the time , when all the Mountains there heard That HaShem Would Reveal Himself On a Mountain , they all ( as the Psalm says that we read in Hallel that they came skipping spiritually ) to be the one On Which HaShem Would Reveal Himself , but Har Sinai humbled Itself , thinking itself not worthy To Have HaShem Come Down On it And So HaShem Chose Har Sinai For His Revelation . This Teaches us that Torah Wisdom is acquired by humility . Being open to learning . To become Holy , we must be like Har Sinai and like the humble Bamidbar - Wilderness in which we Jews travelled - we must always be Humble . Humility Can thus lead to Holiness . The word " Behar " also has within it the word ' Ro'eh or Re'eh and even" Harei " all referring to " What is seen , " as a Revelation . For it was on a Har , a Mountain , That HaShem's Shechinah Was Revealed To us . This Revelation And HaShem's Voice With it , Is Never Ending . It Stretches Across the Ages , for all Laws were Given To Moshe on this Mountain , Laws Revealed to us in Torah She Be ' Michtav ( Written ) and Torah She ' Be' Al Peh ( Oral ) both making up the Revelation Of Laws On Har Sinai , with its depth of Wisdom and Halachos through the ages and the Secrets to understanding the written Word , all revealed to Moshe Rabbeinu , whose name in Hebrew ( Moshe Rabbeinu ) has the Gematrical value of 613 , the exact number of Mitzvos every Jew is to keep . Humility is the path to HaShem . Moshe Himself was the most Humble man and he climbed through the many Gates of Wisdom ( 49 to 50 like the Yovel number ) to be Close To HaShem . HaShem's Voice From Har Sinai Penetrates the ages And Continues On To each generation , Sent Out At That Time Of The Revelation On Har Sinai , For HaShem's Voice Is Never Ending , Having No Echo , for nothing can stop It or contain It . HaShem's Voice Carries Trough The Ages , Still Revealing His Secrets Of The Holy Torah To us all . We need only Listen To HaShem and do them . Within the Hebrew word " Behar , " is the word ' Chorev ' which is another name that this Mountain is given In The Holy Torah . The name Chorev as Talmud Bavli Shabbos 89 shows by Rabbi Abbahu is that ' it was called Mount Horeb ( Chorev ) because desolation ( ' Hurbah ' ) to idolators descended thereon ' and the other Rabbis here say ' it was called the Wilderness of Sinai because hostility ( sin'ah ) toward idolators descended thereon . ' ( Mi Yodeah ) . Also within the name " Behar " is the word ' Harbei ' - ' Many , ' for Many Laws Were Given By HaShem On This Mountain . The Revelation At Har Sinai was the only True Religious Revelation witnessed collectively by over 600 000 people , unlike may other false beliefs that claim a seeing of one or two or a small few handful of people . This Revelation Of HaShem on the 6th of Sivan that is Shavuos , that we are headed to now , was a Long Awaited Day By HaShem Since Creation , for hidden in the words in Bereishis , every day of Creation is written as an indefinite article " a fourth day , a fifth day , " but only the Sixth day was it written with a definite article " The " where Chazal teach us that this is so , as this sixth day refers to another Sixth Day as well to come and this Sixth Day was the Sixth of Sivan , the Revelation Of HaShem On Har Sinai . Thus HaShem Waited all the Generations from Creation to His Revelation On Mount Sinai To Reveal Himself To His people . Creation is totally interlinked With HaShem Being Among us In Love . Each and every Jew carries HaShem's Light within and so , As HaShem Spoke all the Laws at Har Sinai , so are we to carry These Laws within us humbly always . HaShem's Revelation " On " - " Be " har Sinai Is In the Heart and Soul of Every Jew , past , present and still to come And So HaShem's Voice Will Carry us Into the future and into Olam Ha Bah The World To Come And HaShem Will Be With us Always and His Voice , Within Our Soul , Carrying us Into Gan Eiden , when Creation will return back To HaShem and we will forever be within HaShem's Love and Light . Each moment and step in our lives is a step we can choose to take higher and higher toward HaShem And His Closeness . Every step we take in learning and following HaShem's Mitzvos And Commandments is a growing process to make ourselves more Holy . Just like we count the Omer at this time for forty nine days and on the fiftieth day is Shavuot When HaShem Came Down on Har Sinai , just like we count the six years and after that , we have the Seventh Year , The Sabbatical year and after counting seven Sabbatical years the fiftieth year is the Yovel Jubilee year , so is each step we take , a climb toward Holiness Toward HaShem . Such is true living , a life with the real proper purpose of why we are here . Just like Har Sinai that was humble , so must we be humble and take every step toward holiness , with proper humility , just like Moshe who climbed all the Gates and levels of Wisdom , with humility , for he climbed higher than any other man before him and was more humble than any man before him or who will ever be , so must we be humble and holy as we climb every moment of every day up our spiritual Har Sinai , bringing ourselves Humbly Closer To HaShem every day . May we all continue to climb Closer And Closer To HaShem and work on making sure that every moment of every day That HaShem Gives us , counts with thankfulness in the Beautiful Opportunity That HaShem Is Giving us , to be at one With HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He In His Love . I Wish Ever Most Everlasting And Ever Most Beloved HaShem With Sweetest And Most Special Eternal Love , A Beautiful Sweet Eternal Shabbos Kodesh With Forever Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , A Holy Sweet And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love .

To become Holy , we must be like Har Sinai and like the humble Bamidbar - Wilderness in which we Jews traveled - we must always be Humble .

The Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Emor . The Sedra starts by teaching Laws to the Kohanim ensuring that they always keep themselves Holy and Pure . They are also appointed to help keep K'lal Yisrael Holy and Pure . This is understandable as the task of the Kohanim is to ensure the Purity of our nation , by their Korbanos Offerings that are done by them on our behalf , thus helping us to achieve a much closer relationship With HaShem . The very word " Korban " has the root ' Karov ' within it which means to come close . The Haftorah for this Parsha is Yechezkiel Ezekiel 44 : 15 - 31 which also mentions the Laws of Purity of the Kohanim . The Kohanim , who help to Purify the nation must therefore ensure that they must first and fore-most be very Clean and Pure themselves . One cannot clean a stain with a cloth that is already dirty so the Kohanim themselves who help to clean the nation , must themselves first be Clean and Holy and Pure and fully Torah Observant . They may not contaminate themselves for one who has passed on , except for a close relative . They may not make a bald spot on their heads nor may they shave the edge of their beard or cut a gash in their flesh , for they shall be Holy To HaShem and not desecrate HaShem's Holy Name , Chas Ve Shalom . They may not marry a woman who is a Zonah , a harlot , or a woman who has been desecrated , or a woman who is a Gerushah , a Divorcee and the Kohein Gadol is not allowed to marry a widow , where an ordinary Kohein can . The Laws for the Kohein Gadol are much stricter than for an ordinary Kohein , for he cannot marry an Almanah , a Widow and cannot even contaminate himself , even for his relative's passing . Torah Instructs that they may not do the Avodah if they have a " Mum , " ( pronounced as " Moom ) " - " A Blemish , " or if they are blind , lame , or if they lack a nose bridge , or one limb is longer than the other , or if they have a broken leg or arm , or abnormally long eyebrows , or a membrane on their eye or a blemish in their eye , or a dry or moist skin eruption or crushed testes . For those that have these , from the offspring of Aharon Ha Kohein , may not do the fire-offerings Of HaShem . In those days , if a person had a Spiritual problem with their holiness , it would show up physically in one of these mentioned ways and these things would disqualify them from doing the Avodah . They would also be forbidden to do the Avodah , if they had any of the previously mentioned Contaminations . Torah goes into the Laws of Terumah , the one fiftieth of the crop that is the Kohein's Portion . Torah then Speaks of the offerings themselves , that they must be unblemished . The Torah Portion then continues with the " Mo'adei HaShem Asher Tik're'u Otam Mik'ra'ei Kodesh , " - " The Appointed Festivals Of HaShem , " that you are to " designate as Holy Convocations , " which refers to our Yomim Tovim that we celebrate and keep throughout the year . They are also called Moadim , for within this word is the word " Eid " which means " Witness , " for when we keep HaShem's Festivals , we stand as witnesses To HaShem's Oneness And Truth . HaShem Set these Festivals at Creation , even though their connections with and reasons for keeping them , took place through our Biblical History . I mention this , as Pesach is celebrated as our Exodus from Egypt and Shavuos is also the Day we received the Torah Ten Commandments on Har Sinai and Succos also has a connection to the Clouds of Glory Of HaShem , that surrounded us in the Wilderness . Rosh HaShanah is the New Year and Yom Kippur , the Day of Atonement . So all these days Were Created already at Creation , yet with our history , only was Commanded to the Children of Israel , after we left Mitzrayim . Yet our Fore-Fathers did keep these days Holy before the events which were linked to them even came about or took place . For example , Avraham already made and ate Unleavened Bread in his life-time and was in fact busy preparing it when the Giant Og came to tell him that his nephew Lot had been taken captive by the four kings against five , for the time that this happened , was actually the time of the future Passover . So Avraham had to rescue his nephew during the time that became our Passover in the future . No wonder the Giant Og , was named from then on ' Uga / Og ' which means cakes , to refer to the unleavened cakes that Avraham was busy making when Og came to tell him of Lot's capture . It is from this name that the word ' Ogre ' comes , that in today's times refers to a Giant . This Og had been around a long time and he was one of the progeny of the Nephillim who came from the fallen Angels mixing with humans , in the generation of Noach . Og survived the " Mabul " - the " Flood " due to Noach's kindness , for when Noach was building the Ark , Noach added to the side a little standing platform and a little roof for Og to stand between and Noach fed Og every day through a little trap - door opening . Also linked to Festival days in Biblical History was the incident with the Malachim Angels that came to Sodom , to Lot , for it was Passover then . HaShem Instructs That we are to designate these Holy Festivals , For HaShem Put in our charge , the intercalation of the Jewish Calendar , so that we are to set it up and also say when each New Moon Rosh Chodesh starts and to add in a leap year when necessary , so thus we were to designate the Festivals , called " Holy Convocations , " where the word " Convocations " means " Holy Days of our people gathering as one . " ( Ramban ) We have a Lunar Calendar and a Solar Calendar and when putting the two together , they do not quite coincide with the exact number of days , for the Lunar Month is a bit shorter than the Solar Month and thus , in order to keep HaShem's Commandment of always celebrating the Pesach in the Spring , a Month chosen by HaShem's Mercy and Compassion for it is a mild weathered month and so it was easier to be freed on this month to travel , we add every few years an extra leap year month Adar 1 and Adar 2 so that the months of the Lunar Calendar will always be closer in matching the two alongside each other , to the Solar Calendar . The muslims also follow a Lunar Calendar , but do not put in that leap year month every few years as we do , coming seven times in every 19 year cycle - ( Chabad ) so the dates of their celebratory days tend to jump around from year to year . HaShem Thus Commanded us to be the ones to designate our Holy Convocations and In Commanding us this , Made us as it were , a partner in His Creation And Celebrating the Festivals With us . The very first Festival mentioned here is Passover Pesach . This is mentioned first As HaShem Commanded That this Month of Nissan in which Pesach comes , will be to us the First of the Months . On Pesach we are to eat Unleavened Bread Matzos for the seven day period of the Festival , counting the first and last day/s of the Yom Tov and in Galus we celebrate the two days Yom Tov . Between Pesach and Shavuot we count the Omer for 49 days ( which we are now in the process of doing ) where on the 50th day we Celebrate the Festival of Shavuot . It was on this Holy Day That HaShem Came Down On Har Sinai . While we were in Egypt , Egypt at that time was the lowest Spiritual Place at that time , the most impure and they had reached the 49th level of impurity ( just as there were 49 steps leading up to Pharaoh's throne ) . Seeing that we lived there , we were exposed to this Tum'a Impurity , the same Impurity and Impure sources with which they performed their sorcery and the same impurity that had them committing every single Forbidden act of Immorality That HaShem's Torah Commanded us in the previous Parasha , not to commit . So when we left Egypt , before we were Spiritually on a level To Meet HaShem , we had to climb these 49 levels toward Purity and so , between Pesach and Shavuot , we count the 49 Days of the Omer , on which we purify ourselves to Meet HaShem On Shavuot . The seven weeks of seven , take us to Holiness , where we know the number seven is a holy number and seven sets of seven is Holy upon Holy . The Gematriah of Moshiach is Seven . The Sabbath , Which Is Also Mentioned In this Parsha , is on the Seventh Day . The Sabbatical Year is the seventh year and seven Sabbatical years take us to the number forty nine , whereafter comes the Yovel Jubilee ( Fiftieth ) Year . So we count seven sets of seven and on that next day that 50th day , like an 8th after the 7 , is Shavuot , The Day That we Received HaShem's Revelation On Har Sinai Mount Sinai And Were Given By HaShem , The Ten Pronouncements , after purifying ourselves through the 49 day count of the Omer and on that next day , the 50th Day , is Shavuot . So do we celebrate Shavuot , having reached that 50th Day , like the 50th Gate of Purity , for which Moshe Rabbeinu ( who started by having to climb up Pharaoh's 49 steps ( like the 49 levels of impurity of Pharaoh ) to speak to Pharaoh , for Pharaoh's throne ( as I mentioned ) was at the top of 49 steps , on the 50th step , representing Pharaoh's 49 / 50 steps of impurity ) Moshe climbed through all 49 Gates of Purity and Wisdom and went on Spiritually toward that 50th Gate of Holiness , after his passing . Such was the Festival of Shavuot . It was also due to the Omer offering that we also warranted Being Saved at the time of Purim , for it was the time of Pesach , when this event of haman happened in Shushan and haman had given 10 000 kikar to have us Jews exterminated . It was on the Second Day of Pesach when the decree was turned around on haman's own head , when haman had to parade Mordechai in front of the people . For Mordechai was teaching Torah at that very time ( when haman had come to fetch him to put him on the ride ready for parading ) about the Omer that had to be offered at this very time and so this Omer counteracted the money given by haman . ( Midrash Vayikra - Rabbi M Weissman ) . HaShem Reminds us That when we reap our harvest , we should not remove completely the corners of our fields when we reap and not gather the gleanings of our harvest , but that we must leave them for the poor and the proselyte . HaShem Then Commands About Rosh HaShanah , The First of Tishrei . Rosh HaShanah goes back to the Beginnings of Bereishis , for it was on Rosh HaShanah , That HaShem Created Adam Ve Chava , so this is the Day of the World's True New Year . The Shofar that we blow at this time commemorates the Akeidah , where Avraham offered a Ram in place of his beloved son Yitzchak . Rosh HaShanah and The Ten Days of Repentance bring us to the 10th of Tishrei Yom Kippur , which are days of Atoning , where it was on Yom Kippur that Moshe came down after his third time of 40 days and 40 nights up on Har Sinai , when he finally gained Forgiveness for us From HaShem , after the Chait Ha Eigel , the golden calf incident . So on Yom Kippur we Fast and Atone . Five days after this , we celebrate the Festival of Succos for a seven day period , where we dwell in our Succahs and take the Lulav and Etrog , the Four Species and Rejoice Before HaShem . Yes Rejoicing is a Mitzvah , to be happy and rejoice with Kiddush . The four species that we take on Succos and bind them together , represent the four types among our people that are brought together as one and become one as our people should be one , making up for each other's strengths and weaknesses . The Four Species are the Esrog , the Citron , which tastes and smells nice and represents those of our people who have learning and morals - good actions ; the Lulav branch ( Date-Palm ) , whose fruit has a nice taste but no odour , represents those who have learning but lack morals - good actions ; the Myrtle , which has a nice odour , but no taste , represents those who have no Torah learning or deficient Torah learning , yet have morals and good actions and deeds ; and the Willow , which has no odour and no taste , represents those who have no Torah learning and no morals and good deeds . So when all are held together , we all become one and help each other . The fact that there are " Four " Species , assists in forgiveness for the Four types of death penalty ( Midrash Vayikra - Rabbi M Weissman ) . All of these species also have a connection to being near a water source , so is the World Blessed with Water at this time . At this time we also have the ancient Festival of the Water Drawing . We dwell in Succos Booths during this Festival and welcome the Ushpizin , the special Guests of our Holy Fore-Fathers and Holy Men from our Torah and Tanach , welcoming them every day we are in the Succah , a new Special and Holy Guest , each day . The Ushpizin are Araham , Yitzchak , Yaakov , Yosef , Moshe , Aharon and Dovid ha Melech . Each Day of Succos , one of these Holy men can come and visit us and see that we are giving to the poor . On the next day after Succos , we celebrate a special Festival called Shemini Atzeres the Eighth Day Feast where we spend an extra day of Holiness With HaShem , showing HaShem , after all these Holy Days , that we still so deeply wish To Be Close To HaShem , Just As HaShem , Wants that extra Day With us In Closeness . These are the Festivals of Israel . HaShem Then Commands About the Menorah and how only the purest first drop of Olive Oil is to be used for the Menorah , purely hand squeezed one olive per one drop squeezed , for only the first drop , being the purest un-sedimented drop of an olive per olive can be used as olive oil for the Menorah . Aharon was to light the Menorah from evening to morning as an eternal decree . HaShem Commands on the Showbread 12 loaves for the Shulchan Table , to be changed before every Shabbos and the Showbread from the previous week would still remain fresh . So should our Jewish Kings of David's line always be fresh and pure , for the Table for the Showbreads , is also a representation of the Kings of the line of Judah . The Torah then relates the happening of the ' hamekaleil , ' - ' the blasphemer . ' This man , was actually the son of Dasan's wife Shelomis , when she had been taken in a forceful manner by the egyptian taskmaster who was beating Dasan on that day that Moshe had come to save him . Shelomis was known to lack modesty and liked to be a bit flirtatious with other men and so was her name Shelomis , for she often said Shalom hello to other males . On that day the Egyptian taskmaster had come to Dasan's house to look for Dasan to call him for work . After Dasan had left , the egyptian taskmaster returned and took advantage of her . When he saw Dasan , the egyptian wanted to silence the matter that he had been with her , where he had conceived with her a child , so he beat Dasan and this is where Moshe came on the scene and helped save Dasan's life . Thus this son of hers was fathered by an egyptian . It was this son that is here mentioned in Torah as the blasphemer , who had taken on his father's evil character . He is mentioned here after the Showbread , for it was about the Showbread , that he chose to ridicule Moshe and his teachings , trying to make out that the bread from the previous week could not last the week in freshness . How wrong he was . This person came and put up his tent within the area of the Tribe of Dan ( for he thought that he should , as his Mother was a Danite , even though lineage only goes through the Father , from whom the lineage for the child comes , even though he did not have a Jewish Father , for previously he liked to stay outside the camp near the people who were not allowed into the camp due to impurity . Another Danite questioned his action saying that he was not allowed to be there within the tribe of Dan for his ( this blasphemer's ) father was an egyptian and thus not a member of that Tribe of Dan . He argued and the matter was brought to Moshe's Beth Din . When the blasphemer asked who his father was , he was told that his father was the egyptian that Moshe had killed . The blasphemer asked how Moshe had done this and was told that Moshe had pronounced HaShem's Holy Name and the egyptian had fallen dead . When the blasphemer heard this , he disrespectfully said this Very Holy Name and Blasphemed The Name . When he was taken to Moshe for judgement , Moshe did not want to give judgement himself as Moshe had an involvement in this matter in saving Dasan at the time and so asked HaShem what to do . HaShem Instructed That this blasphemer must be taken outside the Camp and those who heard his blaspheming must be the first to stone him and so was this done . HaShem Then Teaches On punishment of a life for a life and restitution being given for injury caused to another . Here In Torah , HaShem Mentions " Ayin Tachas Ayin , " - " An Eye for an Eye . " This does not mean that if someone takes out a person's eye that so must be done to them . Not at all . The word " Tachat , " literally means " Under " so it says " An Eye under an Eye , " which means that not the eye is taken out of the perpetrator for that eye that they caused to come out of someone else . But a lesser restitution is calculated via money restitution and this is the same with other injuries mentioned . We also know that money is being referred to as the judgement , because the Gematriah of the word " Tachat , " is 400 + 8 + 400 = 808 and 8 + 0 + 8 = 16 and 1 + 6 = 7 , which is the same as the Gematriah of the word " Kesef " - " Money , " which is 20 + 60 + 80 = 160 and 1 + 6 + 0 = 7 . So both ' Kesef ' and " Tachat , " both have the same value number in Gematriah . The Parsha ends with the death of the Blasphemer . HaShem Tells us , " There shall be one Law for you , it shall be for the proselyte and the native alike , For I , HaShem , Am your G-d . " So ends the Parsha . This Parsha is called " Emor " - " Say . " HaShem Could Have Used any form of the Word " Amar / Omer " as the word for " Say . " So why Did HaShem Use the form of the word as " Emor . " If we look at the Gematriah of the word " Emor , " it comes to the same as Mashiach . " Emor " is 1 + 40 + 200 = 241 and 2 + 4 + 1 = 7 , just as the word " Mashiach " is 7 in Gematriah . So this Command to be Pure , is to continue till Moshiach's time , just as Moshiach and the Days of Moshiach are Pure and the Days of Olam HaBah - The World To Come , will be Pure , just like the Kohanim are instructed to be Pure , in this Parsha . A direct word " Emor " is given here , which is the Commanding Form of the word , as ' A Command ' is used here , As HaShem Gives the Kohanim a direct Command to command us to be Holy and Pure and Obedient To G-D . This is why , in this first verse of the Parsha , the word " Emor " is repeated in the word " Ve'Amarta , " for HaShem Tells / Commands the Kohanim , to Tell / Command us , to be Holy and Pure , through time . The Kohanim and us , through time , are to be Pure and Holy and continue to ensure that we keep Holy and Pure , no matter what our Yetzer Horah tries to pull us away to do . The Kohanim were at the time the teachers Of HaShem's Torah and so they had to be the example of Obedience , Purity and Holiness to us , having A Closeness With HaShem . Commands are given to them first and foremost to be Holy , for being Holy , is the best teacher by example . We will quicker listen to a teacher who has that very correct character , when they teach and tell others to be . Before they purify others they must first purify themselves . This is the same for us all . Before we start telling others how to be good and holy , we must first look at ourselves and make ourselves good and moral and holy . Being holy is the best teacher for others and those around us . Teaching by example has the best impression to those that we come into contact with . It is so easy to look at others and judge others but we need to first look at and within ourselves . Do we properly keep the Holy Torah Of HaShem And HaShem's Commandments ? Are we as moral as we should be ? Do we always do what we should do ? Are we always as kind to others as we should be ? Are we a good example of holiness and morality and correctness ? Are we who we should be , religiously and morally ? Are we as religious and Torah- Following Torah - Observant as we should be ? Of course we are not . We can always do better and improve . That does not mean that we must not teach others to improve . It means that we also need to look at ourselves , before we look to and hunt for the faults of others . If we are totally honest with ourselves , we will find plenty of room for improvement . We often see the very faults in others , that are most apparent , within ourselves . Perhaps we should think on that . The very things that catch our attention in others , are the very things that we ourselves probably need improvement on . HaShem Tells the Kohanim to be pure before they purify others . This is how it should be with us all . Let us all look within and clean our own Avodas HaShem - Service Of HaShem , before we go out and tell others the same things that we ourselves have a fault with . Cleaning our own faults will Spiritually cause a ripple in everything around us and so will send the opening of Spiritual Cleansing to those around us that have the same issue to correct and so will others easier listen to our well meaning attempts to purify this World . When we notice a specific problem in others , there may be a reason why that specific thing caught our attention . Perhaps HaShem Is " Emor " - " Saying And Talking " To us Through our own will , so that we can look deeper into ourselves and correct that very thing within ourselves . HaShem " Emor " - " Speaks " To us All The Time . We really need to listen and look closer at everything that catches our attention and at everything that happens around us , For HaShem Who Is Filled With Love And Caring And Compassion , Surrounds us With So Much Love . All that we see and perceive , is for our own benefit , to better ourselves and raise ourselves to Heaven And To HaShem . So let us all start now and really look very deeply and honestly within ourselves and work on those things that are not what they should be within ourselves and let us make ourselves shining examples of Holiness , for that is the best and most effective teacher of all , to bring all things around us , To The Pathway Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Forever Most Eternally Beloved HaShem With Sweetest And Deepest Everlasting Love , A Very Beautiful And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Forever Eternal Sweetest Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Very Holy and Special Shabbos Kodesh with Love .

The Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Kedoshim . At the end of the last Sedra , we were cautioned not to do as others before have done that contaminated the Land of Israel . We are to keep the Laws of HaShem . Now through Moshe , HaShem Addresses the whole nation of Israel with these coming Laws , that expand on a day to day righteous way of living , The Laws Of The Ten Commandments expanded and thus the entire assembly of the Children of Israel had to be spoken to . At the basis Of HaShem's Torah , is the Command that appears at the beginning of this Sedra , " Kedoshim Tiheyu Ki Kadosh Ani , Ani HaShem Elokeichem , " - " You shall be holy , for Holy Am I , HaShem your G-D . " This is the basis and one of the deep reasons For All Of HaShem's Torah . That we become Holy and Emulate our Creator HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu . Even the Haftorah for this Sedra Yechezkiel 20 : 1 - 20 ( depending on either the Ashkenazik or Sephardic custom which starts at verse 2 ) , also speaks of some of these Laws appearing in our Sedra and how they must not be broken . Thus HaShem Wants us to be Holy and Close To Him . In the last Sedra, the Laws of how not to act in the Holy Land are mentioned and now here , in this Sedra the Laws are expanded on , of how we are to behave in the Holy Land and in many instances , everywhere . This Parsha is like the collection of diamonds in The Holy Torah for the gamut of Holy Laws mentioned in this Parsha . The First Law mentioned , is the reverence for our Parents , who are Partners With HaShem in bringing us into this World. The verse here says " Revere , " and " Mother " is put first , unlike in The Ten Commandments , where it says " Honour " and there , " Father " is put first . The reason for this is that when it comes to " Revering ," one usually "Reveres ( Fears ) one's Father more , so Torah Tells us first , that we are also to have Reverence for our Mother , but in the case of The Ten Commandments , where it uses the word " Honour " and puts the Father first , where people feel more Honour and emotional softness toward a Mother , so The Torah warns us to Honour our Fathers . After this , HaShem Commands us about The Holy Shabbos and that all Jews are to observe It . The fact that the Observance of The Holy Shabbos is juxtaposed with the respect for Parents who are also part of the " every man ," in the verse , shows that Parents too are subservient to the Shabbos and so , Parents must not be obeyed , should they Chas Ve Shalom , request their child to break The Holy Shabbos or Torah Laws . For we are all under HaShem . Then in this Parsha , just like in The Ten Commandments , HaShem Forbids idols of any kind . Only HaShem Derves our Faithfulness . We notice that with many Of HaShem's Requests of us in this Sedra , they end with the Words , " Ani HaShem Elokeichem ," showing us how HaShem Is in every Mitzvah And Commandment that we do . And when we do for others , we do For HaShem Within them . HaShem Then Deals with Piggul , which are rejected offerings And Goes On To Teach Of gifts for the poor where people are to leave the corners of their fields for the poor , as well as articles farmed , that are dropped and how they are to be left for the poor and the proselyte . HaShem Tells us then not to steal , lie or deny falsely to others . We are not to use HaShem's Name in vain . We are to have honesty, not cheating our fellow in any way . We are not to rob and we are not to keep a worker's wage till morning , we are not to curse the deaf which can also mean not to deceive in any way that the deceiver might not know the full story . We are not " to place a Stumbling Block Before the Blind . " This means not to get others to sin and thus distance them From HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom . The Sedra mentions honest Judges , who are not to favour one side over the other . The Parsha then continues by telling us that we are not to go up as a gossip-monger among our people and never to stand by while our fellow's blood is shed , thus not to turn against our own fellow Jews and also to stand up for our fellow Jew when they are Chas Ve Shalom being harassed or attacked or being insulted , whether to their face or to Jews as a whole . All things are HaShem's Providence and at every moment in our lives , are we to act correctly According To HaShem . We are to reprove our fellow Jew and not stand by and do nothing when they wrong another . We are not to take revenge against our fellow Jew , or bear a grudge against them ( so if our neighbour says no to a loan of an article , we cannot deny them later when they ask us for something ) , but we are to love our fellow Jew as ourselves , for as again , HaShem ends this verse with " I Am HaShem , " for how we treat our fellow Jews and how we treat all people , is also how we are treating HaShem . HaShem Then Commands us against Kilayim , Forbidden Mixtures and not mixing one species of animal with another and not mixing different seeds when planting . Also we are not to mix wool and linen fibers . Our Rabbis offer an explanation for not mixing fibers that goes back to Kayin and Hevel , where Hevel brought of the wool as an animal and Kayin brought of the linen from the fallen fibers . Seeing as Kayin brought of that which was not the best and of that which had fallen on the ground As Torah Clearly States , while Hevel brought from the finest and so we do not mix a good action with a bad one , just like we do not mix Hevel's good offering with Kayin's self caring offering and so , we do not mix these two fibers in a normal garment because of what their different actions of giving them , at the time represented . Thus we do not mix fibres unless in a very holy garment of Tzitzis and in the Bigdei Kehuna , The Priestly Garments , where the Holiness of this Garment brings Shalom Peace , unlike there was between Kayin and Hevel . HaShem Teaches About the Shifchah Charufah about the designated Maidservant . HaShem Then Teaches about Orlah , first three years of newly planted tree's fruit are forbidden to us and Neta Revai , the fourth year , where the produce is brought to Yerushayim and consumed there . Torah Warns us not to engage in sorcery and not to believe in lucky times . We are Commanded to keep our Peiyot and not cut these or the edge of the beard , which the idol worshipers used to do . It is forbidden to copy the other nations , by cutting into the flesh for the dead and we are not to have Tattoos . We are not to give our daughters to harlotry , Chas Ve Shalom . Again we are Commanded on the Sanctity of The Holy Shabbos and we are asked to revere The Beis Ha Mikdash . We are to rise in the presence of an old person ( the sweet golden heart of our people who can teach us much Holiness and Wisdom and Experience and Good Morals ) and honor a Talmid Chacham a Torah Sage . We are also to treat a Proselyte with respect and keep honest weights and measures . More warnings are given to not give over children to idols . Again HaShem Reminds us to Sanctify ourselves and be Holy . We are not to curse our Parents , Chas Ve Shalom . Then HaShem Goes again through the Forbidden Relationships . The Sedra ends With HaShem Telling us to Observe His Decrees and not to follow in the pagan footsteps of those That HaShem Threw out of the Land - a Land Flowing with Milk and Honey . HaShem Tells us clearly that we Jews are separated from others . We are to Observe cleanliness Laws of Kashrus For HaShem Has Separated us to be His Own Special Treasure . As I Mentioned , The Sedra of Kedoshim starts out by saying near the beginning of the Parsha , " Kedoshim Tiheyu Ki Kadosh Ani HaShem Elokeichem " - " You shall be Holy , For Holy Am I , HaShem , your G-D . " Thus we are to be separate from other people and from foreign beliefs and pagan ways and we are to be Holy to G-D , for this Is The Pathway of the Jew . For this , Every Commandment , That HaShem Ever Gave and Gives us , is to lead us to be Holy , As HaShem Is Holy . This Parsha of Kedoshim teaches us HaShem's Holy Laws to Lead us to " Kedoshim " - " Holiness . " HaShem Wants us to Love our fellow Jew as ourselves , For As HaShem's Torah Says , " I Am HaShem . " This Acknowledgement Of " I Am HaShem , " is also to remind us That HaShem's Love And Light Is Within us all and how we treat others , is thus how we treat HaShem - so be good to others , as this is Being Good To HaShem And Keep HaShem's Commandments . We are to be good to the Proselyte , the Convert to Judaism and treat them justly and love them like ourselves , for we too were aliens in Egypt . We are not to commit a perversion of Justice , in measures of length , weight and volume and we are to have correct scales , weights and dry measures and correct liquid measures , for how we conduct ourselves to our fellow people , is how society will be as a whole . In Holiness , HaShem Says , as Often Appears after each Law here , " I Am HaShem Your G-D , Who Brought you out from the Land of Egypt . You Shall Observe My Decrees and all My Ordinances , and you shall perform them - I Am HaShem . " HaShem Then Again Warns us against offering to molech And , as I mentioned , Reiterates the Arayos - Forbidden Relationships but with more detail on the punishments for these sins , Ending With Reminding us To Keep HaShem's Decrees And Ordinances and then the Land of Israel will not disgorge us , for we are not to follow the practices of those that were there at other times , That Were Disgorged and we are to remain Holy As HaShem Is Holy , Who Has Separated us Jews from other people . We are to Keep Israel as a Land Flowing with Milk and Honey ( a reference to Torah in that we must keep Israel as a Land where Torah flows and is strictly kept and not ever to follow the ways of other people and their traditions and beliefs . We are to keep Kosher and keep away from that which is unclean . We are not to follow the sorcery of the Ov or of Yid'oni , a crime that deserves death by stoning . The Parsha leaves us with a beautiful Statement that " You shall be holy for Me , for I HaShem Am Holy And I Have Separated you from the peoples to be Mine . " How much more clear can it be . This is as clear a show Of HaShem's Love For His Jewish people , For As HaShem Says , We Jewish people are His - using the word " Mine " that shows such personal Love And Sweet Closeness That HaShem Feels For us Jews . So ends the Parsha . HaShem Asks Of us To Be Holy - Kadosh . The Sedra is called " Kedoshim " - " Holy . " The root of the word " Kedoshim " is actually " Kadeish , " which means ' separate . ' Thus to be Holy " Kadosh , " we need to separate ourselves from unclean things , unclean law and unclean ways that are not like HaShem . Separation makes Holiness . Abstaining from negativity is the key to Living a Kosher life . HaShem Wants us To Emulate Him and so we are to Emulate Him In All Ways . HaShem Wants To Keep Himself Separate From all this unholiness . Thus The Way To Reach HaShem's Closeness Is to Separate ourselves From all that is unholy . From all that is negative . From all that comes from fake and false ways . For us to be Holy , we need to start To Emulate HaShem . HaShem Gave us His Beautiful Gift Of The Holy Torah . This is our Way to Separate from unholy things and ways and to work toward " Kedoshim " - " Holiness ." HaShem Made us Jews , His Special People And HaShem Wants us To remain so . So HaShem Tells us , " Kedoshim Tiheyu Ki Kadosh Ani HaShem Elokeichem ," - " You shall be holy for Holy Am I , HaShem Your G-D . " This is the basis of all Yiddishkeit , the basis of all Judaism . This is the Holy Basis Of Living . This is the Holy Basis Of Being HaShem's People . To Emulate HaShem and take HaShem in , is to be What HaShem Wants us to be , so that we can carry His Name That He Put within us , As HaShem Waits For us to let our true Yiddishe Jewish Neshomas come out and make all things Beautiful And Holy , As HaShem Is Holy . We see this in the Word " Kedoshim , " which can be separated into two words ' Shem ' and ' Kadosh , ' where the word ' Shem ' Refers To The Name , HaShem's Name ' and ' Kadosh ' Refers To Holy . Thus Only Within HaShem's Name And Laws , can we find " Kedoshim " - " Holiness , " no other place . HaShem Is Beyond Holy And HaShem's Name Is Beyond Holy . With HaShem And HaShem's Holy Name And The Holy Torah That HaShem Gave , we can work toward Great Spiritual Heights and this will lead us to " Kedoshim " - " Holiness . " There is no limit to how high we can go In Holiness . HaShem Is Beyond Infinite and so is trying to climb toward Him , Infinite , so there is always space to grow In Holiness . There is always more that we can do to become who we are meant to be . We need to leave our own wants and wishes aside and grow toward The Greater And Holier Good , toward the Greater Picture , toward our Reason for being , in bringing this physical place To Holiness , Where HaShem Can Reside With us In His Closeness And in His Love And In His Light That Can Surround us As It Would Have Done in Gan Eiden . May we work ourselves In Sweet Holiness Toward HaShem's Love and all bask In HaShem's Holy Love , Surrounded Ever And For Always In HaShem's Holy Oneness And Forever Love , The Love Of The Almighty HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Most Beloved HaShem With Forever And Eternal Sweetest Special Love , A Very Beautiful And Sweet Special Shabbos Kodesh With Forever And Eternal Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of HaShem's Creation , a Very Beautiful and Holy Blessed Shabbos Kodesh with love .
