The Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Acharei Mos . The Haftorah for this Sedra is in Amos 9 : 7 - 15 and just like in the Parsha , when we Keep HaShem's Torah Commandments And Follow HaShem Only , we Are Blessed To Remain in the Holy land of Israel and can warrant the Coming of Mashiach , may he come soon in our Days With HaShem . It was after the passing of Aharon's two sons Nadav and Avihu That HaShem Told Moshe to tell Aharon not to come at all times into the Sanctuary , in the Inner Part , Where HaShem's Shechinah Rests . It is here that we learn that Aharon's two sons tried to approach HaShem here , thus not displaying the correct respect and humility . HaShem Is Beyond Holy . Holiness too as is everything else , Is A Creation Of HaShem . HaShem Is Above Creation . We are to always give HaShem the utmost respect , even when we Address Him or refer To Him . So many in this World bring HaShem's Name down to a colloquialism , for every day talk and even going so far as to speak with ugly swearing using His Name , Chas Ve Shalom . This is a sin beyond sin . HaShem And His Name Is Beyond Sacred and must be treated as such . Even in Holy Speech we are to be careful not to over - use HaShem's Name , but to treat His Name with the utmost respect and Kavod Honour . Even when saying a Brocha , we are cautioned in Halacha not to say a Blessing in vain and our Rabbonim teach us what to do and say , Chas Ve Shalom , if we do . How much more so must the Holy of Holies in the Mishkan be respected , which Aharon's two sons did not do , by not giving It the Respect It Deserved . So HaShem Here Cautions that not at all times must Aharon go into this Holy Area . A time when it was permitted by the Kohein Gadol , was on Yom Kippur , the Day of Atonement and even so , the High Priest had to go into this Most Holy Area with pure white garments and performing the Avodah of the Ketores and only after practicing before-hand . This Parsha teaches the Yom Kippur Service , with all that is needed to be done on It . Yom Kippur , is the Day of Atonement on the 10th of Tishrei , the day when Moshe finally achieved Atonement for us for the Chait Ha Eigel ( golden calf ) and thus set as the Day Of HaShem's Mercy . It is also linked with the death of Aharon's two sons , as our Chazal teaches that the death of the Righteous can work toward an Atonement for that generation . All that the Torah mentions for Yom Kippur , was to be strictly done as Commanded . The idea of one Korban being set as a sin offering and the other sent to ' Azazel ' ( Az meaning strong and el meaning mighty ) and the idea of ' Azazel , ' is one of the Chukim of the Torah . It is interesting to note that the names of the two fallen angels in Noach's time that were linked with the Nephillim ( the Fallen Ones ) , that so lowered the spiritual level of the Earth at that time , were Shem-chazai ( Azai ) and Azael , and these two names fit into the word ' Azazel ' Midrash Bereishis ) . The one he - goat sent to ' Azazel , ' was taken to a tall cliff , high peak in the Wilderness . The Day of Atonement is the very day That HaShem Set For our Atonement , for it was after the Sin of the golden calf , the Chait Ha ' Eigel , that Moshe went Up To HaShem ( going up all together , in total , for a period of three different occasions , for a period of 40 days each time ) and it was on his last time up there , when Moshe left to go up on the 29th of Av , that after 40 days , on the 10th of Tishrei , the Day of Yom Kippur , that Moshe finally attained for us Atonement and so as I mentioned , this day is set for Atonement . Preparations for The Yom Kippur Service began 7 days before , for the Kohein Gadol , who would purify himself before , for the 7 days and on two of the days in between , would be sprinkled with the ashes of the Parah Aduma - The Red Heifer . Delegates would be sent to help him prepare and instruct him in all that would be necessary . On the Night of Yom Kippur , the Kohein Gadol would not sleep , but he would stay up and study and even had an attendant who would ensure that he stayed awake . During the Service throughout the day of Yom Kippur , the Kohein Gadol would immerse himself in the spring water five times and change his garments . When going into The Kodesh , he would remove his four garments of Gold ( as gold was used in the Chait Ha ' Eigel ) and wear only his other Garments of pure white , like the Malachim - Angels . Offerings were also done on This Holy Day and This Day , as The Parsha mentions , is known for the lots placed on two goats , one For HaShem and the other " Azazel . " The goat for Azazel , would be taken and sent with a designated person , that was to pass on within that year of doing this and this goat was to be sent off a precipice . Only then , would the Kohein Gadol continue with the Service . The Law of the he-goat to Azazel is a Chok , a Law For Which HaShem Has Given no explanation . Our Rabbonim of Blessed Memory do teach us what may be a few reasons for this particular set of Laws . None of them are a show to bribe a negative force on our behalf for that Day , Chas Ve Shalom . The word " Azazel " has a few derivations . I mentioned one already and another of them being , that the word " Azazel " can be broken up into the words ' Az ' which means ' goat ' and ' Azel , ' which means ' going , ' which is exactly what this procedure was , a goat that must go into the Wilderness . Also , the word " Azazel , " can also be broken up into the words ' Aziz ' - ' Strong ' and ' el ' - ' Mighty , ' for it was to a strong and mighty cliff and rock from which the goat had to be sent off from . Some of our Rabbis also assume that it referred to a specific cliff with this name . As I mentioned but to go into a little more detail , there is a deeper meaning within this word " Azazel . " This goes back to the time of Noach as I mentioned , that it was around that time that two Malachim Angels approached HaShem and questioned the morality of human beings . They asked HaShem why He Created humans , if these humans perform such acts of Immorality and Perversion . HaShem Told these two Angels , that it certainly is not easy to be a human being , with the pull of the Yetzer Horah and with the desires , human beings physically feel . These two Angels asked HaShem To Send them down so they could prove that they could do better . HaShem Warned them that it is hard to be human and that they cannot understand the pull of physicality that a human has . They insisted And HaShem Sent them down . Their names were Azael and Shemchazai ( shortened to Aza ) and when we put these two names together , one gets ' Azazel . ' These two Angels , when they did come down , realized how wrong they had been , for they were unable to contain or control themselves , with this experience of being in human bodies with human desires and appetites and so , ended up doing worse than the humans did , in sexual immorality and other sins . How interesting That HaShem Put the laws of Forbidden Relationships , in this very Parsha . These two Fallen Angels could not contain themselves with human women and brought forth a whole race of Nephillim , The Fallen Ones . It was then , That HaShem Sent the Mabul , the Flood , for the depths to which man stooped , left no place for betterment . People at that time , took more than one wife , one for having children and others for their own personal pleasure . People exchanged wives and at that time , people also indulged in the horrific act of bestiality and other forbidden relationships , That HaShem , In this very Torah Portion , Warns us against . People also at that time , arranged marriage contracts between people and animals and also allowed different species to come together , something That HaShem Strictly Forbade . No wonder this particular event , would bring on a need for such an act of atoning for the World within the connection of these two Angelic beings that both make up the name Azazel , for the sin of sexual immorality is , according to Halacha , one of the three most serious sins , the other two being Idol Worship and Murder , the three sins that a Jew is to give up his or her life for , rather than commit them . There may also be a connection with this name Azazel , to Samael , the Angel of Eisav , the Angel who tempted Chava in Gan Eiden . This Angel Samael , insisted to HaShem , that it wants to Judge the Jewish people , as all other nations get judged . HaShem , Needing to be fair , Gave Samael the permission to Judge us only on Yom Kippur , For HaShem Knew that this would be a day that all Jews , even those who do not correctly Keep all The Laws That HaShem Tells us To Keep , that this would be a Day , that all Jews would Remember Yom Kippur and try their best and Atone . So HaShem Knew that even on this day , Samael's negative intention would hold no power over HaShem's Beloved people . Samael wanted some form of recompense and so , a he - goat is sent for this purpose as an offering to HaShem , that Samael can think is to do with him . As I said , Samael is the Angel of our greatest enemy Eisav Amalek and Eisav was to have the place mountain called Se'ir . This name has a deep reason , for the word ' Se'ir ' means ' hair ' for Eisav was born very hairy and so this place was an indication of his hairy hard nature , which looks to gratifying his own physical appetites and his need for hunting and eating meat , one of them being the he-goat , where a ' Se'ir , ' also means ' he-goat . ' Let us remember the goat that Eisav was to bring to his Father , the goat that Yaakov brought to his Father and the goat that was dipped in blood by Yosef's brothers , that they brought to their Father Yaakov - How Deeply Beautiful And Special Is The Holy Torah . Thus the he-goat is also sent off to Atone against the affects that those people around us Jews attempt to do to us , in trying to turn us away from Holy Judaism . The goat has sadly been a representative symbol for Satanistic beliefs for a long time and so , this characteristic , comes from Eisav and his ilk around us , that have performed the most despicable atrocities throughout history , especially to us Jews through time . The Torah Portion portion teaches that the Yom Kippur Service is to be an Eternal Decree for us Jews . The Torah Portion then continues with the prohibition not to eat blood , for in all parts of the beheimah , it is their blood that is for atonement . That does not mean that blood is the only way to atone , as some of the heretical thinkers try to claim , for the verse directly says that in all parts of the animal , the part of blood is the part for atonement , ( never to be eaten ) , in connection with offerings and that there are other ways to atone , like at a time , when we do not have a Temple , HaShem , Many Times Teaches us that our lips substitute for bulls and rams . Thus Blood is not to be eaten , as some nations did in those days . Torah then Teaches us of the Forbidden Relationships , that we as HaShem's People that are to be a Holy People , are not to engage in , as the Egyptians and Canaanites indulged in . We are cautioned as a people to not behave as the Canaanites did or others , but to remain Pure and Holy and Modest in such matters and thus to be a Kingdom of Priests and a Holy Nation , As HaShem Requests of us . We are not to behave as the Canaanites did in the Holy Land for it is such a Holy Land Close To HaShem , that it will disgorge any such impure immoral people . Israel is not to be a place like new york or paris or any of the other main city in the World . Israel is to be a total place of Holiness . Immoral sexual acts cannot abide in this Holy Land . It is to be a Land where Purity of marriage and union be kept . HaShem Lists the Forbidden Relationships , forbidding incest , bestiality and homosexual unions . We , as Jews are to be a Holy People Unto HaShem and not bring these lewd sexual practices to The Holy Land , which the nations before there , were thrown out for doing . An example of this were the four cities of Sodom , Amorah ( Gemorrah ) Admah and Tzeboyyim . These cities were destroyed , being within the Holy Land ( The fifth city that was set for destruction Tzoar , was saved on account of Lot and his daughters having to run there ) . Israel is not to be like other lands and will not tolerate any impurity within its borders and any lack of following Torah there . It must be a land where Torah is kept and not become , Chas Ve Shalom , like other cities around the World that are secular and far away from HaShem's Commandments . Israel is Very Close To HaShem And HaShem's ' Eyes ' Are Always On this Land Closely and so , It is to be kept Pure and Holy and Torah Following . HaShem Gives us Laws , not just for the sake of it , but so that we can Emulate HaShem . These Laws of not committing any of the forbidden relationships , are there to aid us in Emulating HaShem . How is this so ? The true union between a Husband and Wife , is something that cannot be gotten with other forbidden relationships . It is at such a time , when the couple are truly one , As HaShem Commanded in the Beginning that a man shall leave his Father and his Mother and cling to his wife and they shall become one flesh , Bereishis 2 : 24 . It is at such a time , that they become one . HaShem Is One and so , as they become one , not just physically , but spiritually too , they thus Emulate The Oneness Of HaShem . It is a Closeness To HaShem that is gotten in a beautiful way , unlike any other . So to turn away from this and seek forbidden relationships , is to turn away from that Holy Oneness and thus is a rebellion against HaShem Himself , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Calls Upon us to do a Kiddush HaShem and give up our lives , as I mentioned , on three occasions , one is when forced to worship Avodah Zorah Idolatry , another is when asked to commit Murder and thirdly , Sexual Immorality . All these three , lead away from HaShem and it is very important not to transgress these sins . Among these , is mentioned the Law not to pass our children through to molech , which was a ritual where a child was passed between two flames in front of the assyrian idol that had a calf's face with outstretched hands and 7 compartments in its heated stomach , where the child was put into the 7th compartment . It is interesting to note that the this idol called molech , was like an egyptian form of baal , from where the term ' baal-zebub ' came from and that in islam , they have an angel called ' maalik ' which is their angel of hellfire and that their angel called malakbel , from the ancient canaanite religion , was at the time , the idol messenger of baal , the idol . No wonder they used fire on children at the time , if the belief was of hellfire . May the whole World stop all forms of idol worship Avodah Zorah and Follow HaShem Only Who Is One - Devarim Deuteronomy 6 : 4 . HaShem Then Cautions us not to follow , in any way shape or form , the abominations of the nations , who did all these depravities and so did Israel , the Land , The Place Of HaShem's Special Closeness , did disgorge them from the Holy Land , a Land that will never tolerate any form of depravity , secularism or immorality or idol worship of any nation . It must be a Land of Milk And Honey , Of Torah and Sweet Holiness , For HaShem . In The Sefer Midrash Vayikra of Rabbi Weissman , he goes into details of how today this molech type of worship is still a problem , not that this cult is worshiped today , but that our Jewish children are not to be given over to secular education without Torah Values , for their upbringing as Jews can be lost to the new ways of secular society today . It is easy in this modern World for a young person's mind to be turned away from traditional values and sadly then , a Jew is lost , Chas Ve Shalom . So easy is the pull of negative ways and the Yetzer Horah to be taken by these negative ways . Our people must get a proper Torah Education and proper Jewish Values and grow up in an atmosphere of Holiness , with no pull of secular foreign and pagan ways . Not doing so , could lose Jewish people to the pull of false religions and idol worship , Chas Ve Shalom . Such is today's warning with molech . The Parsha ends with HaShem Telling us to Safegurd His Charge Thus Keeping It Holy , not to do any of the abominable things that nations did before us , nor contaminate ourselves with them , with the Parsha ending With HaShem Telling us " I Am HaShem your G-D . " Thus , we are to put into place Laws that will keep us far away from transgressing the Torah Law , as Rabbi Akiva taught , to ' Put a Fence Around The Holy Torah , ' to ensure that we do not even get close to breaking the Torah Law . In the case of Forbidden Relationships , our Rabbis instituted Yichud , to make sure , knowing that we each have a Yetzer Horah , that we are not alone with a person of the opposite gender where transgression , in the hands of the Yetzer Horah can be an easy target . The Laws of Yichud are far and wide and though some might think they are outdated , our Rabbis teach us that the Yetzer Horah that is strongest in this area of forbidden relationships , keeps the pull toward this kind of transgression , the same as it was in Adam's time . HaShem In His Wisdom of Creation , Knows the human psyche and power of this area and Thus Wants us to be very careful in this subject . Safeguards are there for our protection and as Yosef showed us , keeping away from immorality , brings us Closer To The Shechinah Of HaShem . HaShem Wants To Shower us With His Goodness And Blessings . HaShem Wants us Close To Him . HaShem Wants the same relationship With us that we would have had , had we stayed in Gan Eiden , where Adam Ve Chava walked With HaShem in the Garden . Sadly , we are not on a level right now to do this and the only way to get on that level Is Through HaShem's Holy Torah . We need to work at it every day . The path back to Gan Eiden Is Only Through HaShem's Laws And Tests . We are not ready to stand Before HaShem's Shechinah yet , even if some of us think we are . Nadav and Avihu also thought they were ready to stand Before HaShem's Shechinah . They too were not yet ready . Only When HaShem Decides , will we be ready . In the mean time , we have to prove ourselves every day and make ourselves ready every day , growing Higher In Holiness every day , With HaShem's Laws . There is no other way To HaShem But By HaShem's Way . Every day we need to atone for the previous day and work at ourselves . The time will come , but it isn't right now . But it could be in the next minute . It all depends on us . It always has depended on us and our Humility and Obedience To HaShem . HaShem Is Waiting And Is Always Ready To Receive us . It is for us to make ourselves ready For HaShem . HaShem Awaits us . Gan Eiden awaits us . Shamayim awaits us . May we all get on The point where we ourselves think of nothing else , but that the real holy versions of us all , await us and that once and for all , nothing else but HaShem , Is our destination . HaShem's Gift of Torah Is our Pathway That HaShem Commands of us With HaShem's Eternal Love , using the Life That HaShem Gives us . So guard This Gift of Life That HaShem Gives us , with honor and live in The Arms Of HaShem Forever . As this Parsha ends with the words , " You shall be Holy for Me , for I HaShem Am Holy , " it is within these words wherein is the secret of life eternal and our garments to wear in this World , as we travel The Path To Ultimate Holiness In Following HaShem's Laws In Love and make our every destination , The Loving Holy Arms In Closeness Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . With Forever And Eternal Sweetest Love To HaShem , I wish Forever Most Beloved HaShem With Eternal And Forever Beautiful And Sweetest Love , A Very Sweet And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh And Chodesh Tov With Forever Eternal Sweetest Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a very sweet and beautiful Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov with love .
Our Beautiful Shabbos comes out this year on Chol Ha Moed Pesach Passover . How Special Is Shabbos and now also at this time can we remember How HaShem Freed us Jews From Mitzrayim With HaShem's Ever Loving Care . At this time , we can come close To HaShem , as we should always be and the very fact of us getting our physical freedom from Egypt By HaShem on Pesach , can culminate in us freeing ourselves totally Physically , to let our Neshoma soar up To HaShem And Be Totally Surrounded By HaShem's Light , freeing ourselves to serve HaShem in totality , as we were to do in Gan Eiden , just like the World To Come Olam Habah Will Be , when we will return To HaShem's Closeness In Love . The Torah reading for this Holy Shabbos Pesach is in Shemos Exodus 33 : 12 - 34 : 26 and the Maftir is in Bamidbar Numbers 28 : 19 - 25 and the Haftorah for this portion of Shabbos Chol Ha Moed of Pesach is in Yechezkel Ezekiel 37 : 1 - 14 . And seeing that this is Shabbos Chol Ha Moed , we also read Shir Ha Shirim Song Of Songs written by Shlomo Ha Melech , a beautiful writing of Love For HaShem , Who Showed us His Love In Freeing us From bondage To freedom at this time of Passover , Bringing us Under HaShem's Wings Of Love Of Torah . HaShem Brought us Jews To Him With So Much Love . We had come into Egypt originally when Yosef , Yaakov's son who had been sold into slavery by his brothers , had been brought to Egypt and after first working for Potiphar ( his name by the Egyptians meaning ' the mutilated one ' for he no longer could have children ) , Yosef had been wrongly accused , due to Potiphar's evil wife Zulaicha desiring and chasing him day after day and when she finally realized that he would never succumb to her , then she made false charges against Yosef that had him put for many years in prison only able at night times , to allow him out to still serve in Potiphar's home where she still continued to harass him . Yosef , Through HaShem's Intervention Only Came Out Of prison when he , Through HaShem , interpreted Pharaoh's dreams and was appointed viceroy of Egypt . With The Help Of HaShem , Yosef saved the country from the years of famine with his plans , Enlightened By HaShem which also caused his Father and brothers to then come and settle in the land of Goshen in Egypt ( an area originally given to Sarah by a previous Pharaoh when Avram and Sarai had gone there ) and so , we as a Jewish People came to Mitzrayim . A new Pharaoh arose in Egypt ( some opinions state that it was the same Pharaoh , but with changed ideals to suit and curry favour with his advisors ) after the passing of Yosef and his brothers and that entire generation and the Egyptians quickly and conveniently ignored and forgot How Much HaShem and Yosef and us Jews had done for the country and so , to allay their concern that we might join their enemies , Pharaoh and the Egyptians , knowing our ways of Chessed of giving kindness and being charitable , deceitfully advertised a new building program that they made out would be a great help to the country , knowing we as Jews would always volunteer to help . Pharaoh himself even went out in the beginning of this 'supposed project ' to show how important a task it was in order to advertise this deceitful plan and went so far as to even take a spade in his hand as if to make a show that he was also digging and getting involved in the deceitful project . Pharaoh had Egyptians also volunteer , who every day would get less and less , until only Jews were left at the work and to work areas that really could never get finished in swampy land and the Jews found day after day how the Egyptians dwindled and we Jews suddenly found ourselves under whipping taskmasters who were instructed to work us day and night in the fields and in their homes . Men were savagely beaten and killed . The plan was to destroy our menfolk Chas Ve Shalom and take our women for the dirty Egyptians and their debauchery and also to try and deceitfully prevent husbands and wives from being together and procreating our Jewish Nation In Holiness . These evil Egyptians went so far as to throw all our male babies that were born ( including some of their own ) , into the Nile river , when their astrologers said a redeemer would come to us and would be destroyed by water . How they read this wrong ( for the only water that had affected Moishe was the decree later in his life at the Waters of Meriva when he struck the rock ) and so , beautiful new born Moishe Avigdor was put in the Nile to make the Egyptians think that they had thrown the redeemer into the Nile , which was obviously not the case . This Moishe grew up to be HaShem's Chosen Messenger , for Moishe's actions and morals , holiness and caring throughout his life led him on the path to leadership , for he showed that even when one little sheep , one little lamb runs away , he would care even for that one little lamb and go out to search for it and when finding it , pat it ever so softly and pick it up and carry it ever so gently on his shoulders , back to the other sheep . Such a holy humble man , showed Hashem how if he can be so caring of one little sheep , one little lamb , how much more so would he care For HaShem's Chosen People Israel , Who Are HaShem's sheep , Hashem's flock , HaShem's little lambs . Such a holy humble caring Jew , HaShem Saw , must be the one HaShem Chooses to lead us Jews out of Mitzrayim , His Jewish people Israel , His Flock , His little lambs . It was on this Pesach Yom Yom Festival , After Ten Plagues That HaShem Sent Against Egypt , That HaShem Freed us Jews From the bondage of Egypt and its physicalities And HaShem Brought us our Pesach Time Of Freedom . HaShem Instructed us on this day to tell our children Of The Exodus From Mitzrayim and so on the Seder nights , we do just that , on our Passover Seders Of Pesach Passover . Such A night That we had our First Holy Meal like our First Seder Night And Were Freed , we are to never forget , The Time When HaShem Took His Legions ( Us Jews ) Out Of Egypt . Such is the day of our Passover . This period And Full Festival Of Pesach starts on the night before we went free and we commemorate right up until the time we were not ever to be bothered by the Egyptians when the Egyptians drowned in the Yam Suf . That was the end of them enslaving us at that time . HaShem's Final straw with Egypt When His Time Of our Redemption From Egypt Came , Was When HaShem Saw how Pharaoh was going to bathe in the blood of our murdered children , some of those of our people that had not been put into their walls among bricks . How cruel and low these Egyptians were . Egypt was called Mitzrayim , which means ' borders , ' for once a person came to Egypt , they were locked in and could not leave , unless Pharaoh gave permission . These Egyptians were the lowest negativity of a people at the time , the lowest in morals . Thus Pesach is also a reminder to free ourselves from any form of negative behaviour , not just the Chometz in bread , but also the Chometz of arrogant verbosity and lack of humility within ourselves and our actions , for we must always be holy and humble , humbly following HaShem And His Holy Torah Commandments Only . HaShem Asked us to mark our doorposts , Even Though HaShem Knew Full Well Who was Jewish , but Left it up to us even then to choose HaShem and not foreign ways Chas Ve Shalom . The Unleavened Bread Matzah that we took with us out of Egypt , not having time for the dough to rise , was so precious to us , that we kept it close to us on our shoulders , yet the valuable silver and gold , we left on our donkeys . The idea of Leaven , that we are to remove from our homes is also a lesson to remove from ourselves ego and arrogance and to be ever humble , as I mentioned , Before HaShem And HaShem's Torah Commandments . The whole way of Egypt was one of leaven arrogance and that is the path away from HaShem . Thus we are to choose HaShem and so must we remove any trace of arrogance that leads to self love and idol worshiping , Chas Ve Shalom . This night of Passover , throughout history , is a night related to our freedom from enemies . As an example , it was on this night that in Megillat Esther , haman had come into the courtyard to hurt us , by wanting to talk to the king about killing Mordechai , but on this night , our conditions there in Shushan were turned around and haman found himself having to humble himself to his enemy . HaShem , On This Night , Turned our future Into one of rejoicing . Everything we do on the Passover Seder , like talking of our freedom as a nation and leaning to the left , is allied to also acting as a free people Only Under HaShem , For It Is Only Under HaShem That one can Truly Be Free . We remember on Passover the bitterness of our slavery in Egypt when we eat the Maror , the bitter herbs at the Seder . This is our Festival Of Freedom Under HaShem . Thus we also think forward to The Final Redemption when we put a part of the Matzah in hiding as the Afikoman , that comes out after the meal , to remind us of The Final Redemption . We also remember Eliyahu Ha Navi , who we pour a glass of wine or grape - juice for , hoping that he will usher in Moshiach and the Final Redemption that will take us Closer To HaShem . We drink four cups of wine to commemorate The Four Orders Made By HaShem In The Holy Torah to do with us being told to leave Egypt . We remember on this night Other Miracles That HaShem Performed For us , like Avraham overcoming the enemy , for it was on this Pesach Passover night in time that Og came and told Avram that Lot had been captured by the four kings against five and Og found Avram baking Matzah so it was Pesach night in time ( Og got his name from the word Uga which means cakes for when he came to Avram , Avram was busy baking them ) , even though Pesach had not yet come with our freedom from Egypt , Avraham kept the Torah even before It Was Given . It was also on Pesach night in time that the three Angels came to Avraham and Sarah , one of the Angels Malachim Michael to tell them of the birth of Yitzchak , who it is also thought was born on Pesach night and the other two Angels , the Malach Angel Gavriel who was , By HaShem's Hand to be the messenger of destruction for Sodom , Amorah , Admah and Zeboiim and the Malach Angel Rafael to take out Lot and his family from the city before the destruction . Also on Pesach Passover night in time , HaShem Sent Avimelech a dream not to touch Avram's wife Sarai . It was also on Passover night in time , That HaShem Warned Lavan not to hurt Yaakov . It was on Passover night in time that Yaakov wrestled with the Angel Samael till daybreak , just before meeting up with Eisav . It was on Passover night in time That HaShem Sent the Plague of the Slaying of the firstborn of Egypt and there were many firstborns in Egypt as the Egyptians had many firstborns , even among husbands and wives who were not faithful to their partners and so had many firstborns among their unfaithful relationships . It was on Passover Pesach night in time That HaShem Did destroy Sisera , our enemy . It was on Passover night in time , that Sannacherib's plans were frustrated . It was on Pesach Passover night in time that Daniel was given his vision of what he was shown . It was on Passover Pesach night in time that Belshazar was killed . It was on Passover Pesach night in time that Daniel was saved from the lions den . As I mentioned earlier, on Passover Pesach night in time , haman's evil was turned back on him , when he came to the King Achasvuerus to ask for Mordechai to be killed And HaShem Turned it around so that haman would have to parade Mordechai through the streets of Shushan . ( Seder Book Haggadah SAZF Appeal ) . It was thus also on Passover Pesach night in time That HaShem Disturbed the sleep and night of Achasvuerus , that Achasvuerus ended up asking for the annals and was told how Mordechai had saved him from Bigthan and Teresh , that same night haman came in to try hurt Mordechai and it was turned around on haman's own head . Yes , this Passover Night is a very Holy night On Which HaShem Has Many Times Throughout our Jewish History Saved our people . Yes , Passover Night is a very holy night and Yom Tov Festival and now on Chol Ha Moed Pesach , very Holy for it is on Shabbos . HaShem Wants our closeness and we are constantly reminded of this In HaShem's Holy Torah . On Passover night and throughout The Holy Passover Yom Tov Festival and on Chol Ha Moed Pesach , we remember That HaShem Took us Out Of Mitzrayim And How HaShem Keeps Saving us . This is the night of our Redemption . So as we sit this Holy Shabbos and Pesach Chol Ha Moed and as we sit on the First Nights Of Pesach Passover reading our Haggados at The Holy Seders , may we truly give ourselves over to true freedom , by turning completely To HaShem And Following HaShem In Total Forever Eternal Love . Our Torah Parsha this Shabbos HaGadol , which is the Shabbos before Passover , is Parashas Metzora . HaShem Continues with the Laws of Tzaraas and here , discusses how purification from it takes place . HaShem Teaches what offerings are to be brought , how the process takes place and exactly what the Kohein needs to do . The Torah portion then goes on to discuss Tzaraas in houses . This can only occur in Eretz Yisroel . HaShem In His Mercy Wants To Try And Avoid Striking the person directly first with Tzaraas , So HaShem In His Mercy Strikes the person's belongings and house first . Should the Kohein come and find Tzaraas in the house , he instructs first that the owner remove all his belongings from the house and only then declares the house Tamei - Contaminated . This was quite embarrassing for the owner to have all his wares displayed on a public street . One of the reasons for this is due to one of the Aveiras that causes Tzaraas on a house and that is dishonest miserliness , for this kind of Tzaraas can appear on the house of a person who may have been asked to lend a certain thing or give Tzeddakah Charity and he denied having that thing or the Charity money asked for , not wanting to help his fellow and now , all will see that he had what he denied he had , thus a punishment for miserliness . Everything we own , Actually Belongs To HaShem and is thus not really ours And When HaShem Blesses us with things or money , we must not just think to keep it for ourselves , but we must realize The Wonderful Opportunity That HaShem Is Giving us , to Give to others . Other Aveiras that bring this Tzaraas , are Loshon Horah and Chas Ve Shalom denying the Truth That HaShem Runs the World And Is Responsible For All our Blessings , not us . HaShem In His Mercy And Kindness , Gives Mercifully even to the one who makes an Aveirah and genuinely repents , for even HaShem's Punishment , Is His Blessing in disguise , set to put us on correcting ourselves so that we can enter Shamayim . We see here in The Punishment That HaShem Metes out on a house was a blessing in disguise , for when the Kohein would come and scrape off the Tzaraas in the house and cut away bricks , stone and mortar , they found riches and valuables hidden in the walls , left by the previous Canaanite dwellers who had hidden their treasures in the walls of the houses ( and even in the fields ) when they knew we were coming home to Israel , our Gift From HaShem and so , these got found and the repentant found himself wealthy . A Lesson for us , That Even When HaShem Punishes us , it is for our good , to bring us back to HaShem and receive HaShem's Brochas and the greatest Brocha is , To Be Near HaShem . The Laws of Tzaraas in houses go on to tell us how the house is purified and under what cases a house has to be totally demolished and all the Laws related to it . HaShem Then Discusses human impurity again in the form of ritual impurity from the human body and discusses the Zav and Baal Keri , male discharges and its contamination , where the Baal Keri refers to seminal discharge and the Zav , which is similar to but not the same as semen and as Rambam says , that it comes from a malfunction in the body where it had collected . Torah discusses these contaminations and their period of impurity and cleansing . Torah then discusses the Niddah , the period of a woman every month - going back to the original Aveirah of Chava , so in essence , every woman suffers for that Aveirah of Chava , who was humanity's Mother , for every woman has a part of Chava within her , down the generations . The Niddah and its Laws and other blood flows and its impurity and how to purify herself , is discussed . The Laws of Niddah and Family Purity are the basis of a pure Jewish home , Bringing HaShem's Shechinah Into the Jewish home and the continuation of Holy Jewish Children , brought up from the very beginning of conception , in holiness and purity , the life intended for every Jew . When we go back to the time when our Jewish ancestors encamped in the Wilderness , it was our modesty and family purity that kept helping to save us . I refer to when Bilaam wanted to curse our people , yet could not , For HaShem OverSaw us and our pure and modest moral ways then . Bilaam himself referred to our purity when he spoke of how we then , in each family tent ensured that we would never put the opening of each fanily tent , facing the opening of the neighbouring family tent , so as to ensure that what was between a couple , remained pure and modest and only between them . Bilaam himself referred to this in his words , " Mah Tovu Ohalecha Yaakov , Mishkenotecha Yisrael , " - " How Goodly are your tents , O Jacob , your dwelling places , O Israel . " ( Bamidbar Numbers 24 : 5 , which we say every morning in our Shacharis Davening Prayers . Thus family purity is a shield against Ein Horah , the Evil Eye , which often comes from jealousy and coveting by another . Why is it only one eye in this saying , when we humans have two eyes . That is because even though the person who commits this bad act has the opportunity to look at things with both eyes open looking at the truth of how things are , they sady choose to cast an eye aside to their own negative closed view of coveting and jealousy and so , they do not see the full picture of how things really are and that what each person has , is part and parcel of what each person needs in their Spiritual Journey To HaShem and so this person that does this bad action , only sees part of the picture and not the whole picture and it is as if they are only looking through the tunnel vision of one eye . So Family Purity Is A Sweet Pathway To HaShem . We note that in Bereishis 2 : 25 , When HaShem brought Chava to Adam , HaShem Puts In Torah , " Vayiheyu Shneihem Arumim HaAdam Ve Ishto Velo Yitboshashu , " - " They were both naked , the man and his wife and they were not ashamed , " for only between the closed doors of a couple can they openly share themselves with each other in modesty and not to the outside world , which would be shameful . So ends the Parsha . The usual Haftorah for Parashas Metzora , would usually be 2 Kings 7 : 3 - 20 , talking also of the lepers Gechazi and his 3 sons , that we mentioned last week , in relation to the Parsha of the Metzora who spoke Loshon Horah , the main reason for this punishment of Tzaraas . Gechazi as mentioned before , slandered his master Elisha the Prophet and also tried to take for himself what he was instructed not to take and so he and his three sons were stricken with Tzaraas , a link to the Parsha . But seeing as this Shabbos is Shabbos HaGadol , The Special Shabbos directly before Pesach , the very day HaShem Commanded us to take the lamb , on this Special Shabbos , many communities have the Minhag Custom , to read Malachi 3 : 4 - 24 , reminding us to remember Moshe and The Laws From HaShem And How HaShem Wants To Give us In Abundance . Passover , is a time That HaShem Gave us our freedom And Put us In The Path Of His Laws through Moshe after HaShem Redeemed us . This Haftorah also discusses the coming of Eliyahu Ha Navi at The End Of Days , The Final Redemption and we are reminded of Moshe at the Burning Bush , when he Was Told By HaShem , Who to say Sent him . The fact that Hashem Told him to only say Part Of HaShem's Name Reference , showed Moshe that our Removal By HaShem from Mitzrayim , would not be the final redemption on Passover and this Haftorah is thus an apt one for it refers to the Final Redemption , May it come soon in our days . Other communities have the Minhag to only acknowledge Shabbos HaGadol if it comes on Erev Pesach and so they read the Haftorah of 2 Kings 7 : 3 - 20 only as their Haftorah . Each should follow his or her own Minhag . One of the main reasons for Tzaraas , is Loshon Horah , Slanderous talk about another . This is a terrible Aveirah , one that even caused us to lose our Temple over causing groundless hatred for our fellow . As we near Passover , The Festival of Freedom , we need to learn to free ourselves from that which destroys . Loshon Horah Slander destroys more than just the one spoken about . Speaking Slander , ruins three people , The perpetrator of the Loshon , the one listening to the Loshon and the one spoken about . To be truly free , Is To Be On The Close Path With HaShem . Such Is True Freedom . To make an Aveira of Loshon Horah , chains us to the negative , for such a person that Loshons , ties themselves to the negative untrue paths of slanderous talk , which pulls the perpetrator of it into more and more negative thinking of others . To be truly free as we were after leaving Egypt on Passover , is to emulate HaShem's Ways Of Honestly and seeing the best in others . To slander others is to seek ruin , Chas Ve Shalom , Of HaShem's Beautiful World . We should always seek life and light and travel always On HaShem's Path Towards HaShem . Shlomo Ha Melech said very distinctly in Mishlei that ' Life and Death are in the power of the tongue ( Midrash Vayikra - Rabbi Weissman ). ' We can kill more people with a word then with a sword . A sword can only kill one person at a time that is close but a word can destroy many at once , and even those very far away . HaShem Creates all people and when we Chas Ve Shalom go and slander another person , as I mentioned in the last Parsha writing that I did , that it is as though we are trying to recreate , Chas Ve Shalom , that other person in a way we negatively want to perceive them , just for our own arrogance . This is a very terrible Aveirah and one of the easiest to commit . HaShem Made the tongue as one of the easiest moving muscles , for a good reason so that we can easily gain Kavod by speaking Holy Words Of Torah To Bring HaShem's Shechinah Down To this World ( Midrash Vayikra - Rabbi Weissman ). To use the tongue for a negative reason , completely goes against the very purpose Of HaShem In Allowing us a Tongue and Speech - to make this World a home For HaShem . HaShem Secured the tongue behind teeth and the walls of the mouth and gums , as a deterrent to keep it in check . We should only speak and use the power of speech , for Holy Purposes . To do otherwise , is to go against Creation , Chas Ve Shalom . We all are here , out of Gan Eiden and in this World , suffering , because of the Aveirah of Loshon Horah , where the Nachash - Snake , with Samael within , slandered HaShem to Chavah and was punished by having its tongue split and being forced as its food, to eat the very dust that is likened to its negativity , of what it spoke . Loshon Horah , also led to Doeg slandering David ( Midrash Vayikra - Rabbi Weissman ) to King Saul and thus having Doeg kill 85 of the Priests at Nov , including the Head Kohein Achimelech , for a lie Doeg told . Doeg was to never be given redemption . Loshon Horah has ruined so many lives and shows as I mentioned , a great arrogance . Torah is a way to control its pull . Studying Torah keeps a person on a higher Madreiga - Level , thus keeping them occupied with Holier pursuits and also keeps them from being idle , when the tongue likes to flap . Within the word " Metzora ," is the Hebrew word ' Tzar , ' which means enemy , oppressor , trouble and a rock ( Shilo dictionary ) . How deeply descriptive is our meaning now . Thus Loshon Horah is a great enemy to us , bringing oppressors upon us and bringing trouble and distress to many and is cold and hard without feeling like a stone . When we Loshon , we cannot see the whole picture , so our view of another person is then distorted , For Only HaShem Sees the Whole Picture . A maligned view of another is only a cold hard unknowing one , with no emotions for another , just like a rock or stone . Only HaShem Can Decide On others , not us . We must be there to guide and help , not to put others down . We must Emulate HaShem in every way and be a helping hand to others and never use others to step in order to try to get higher in a wrong way . Such people that stand on others to get ahead , accomplish nothing but humiliation . As the Slanderer isolates others , So Does HaShem's Punishment for Loshon Horah , isolate the perpetrator of Loshon Horah . HaShem Wants us to be Pure Holy individuals, Pure from within , shining to the outside . How we treat others , is the path to how we are treated in return . If we go out of our way to slander others and ruin others to make ourselves feel good , HaShem Responds By Humbling us . But if we give people the benefit of the doubt , trying every possible way to find a good reason for what another may do , So Can HaShem Also Give us Mercy And Try To Excuse what we do . Our Tongues must speak Sweet Words of Holiness always , helping others rather than trying to destroy them . Instead of sullying our soul which shows on the body , rather purify the soul , so the body may shine . We must also keep our thoughts and selves Clean and Pure on the outside , walking with a Humility and Purity that shows our physical Purity to others and not fall as some do , to the negative desires that brings a person down so low . Our Body is our Temple and it houses our soul From HaShem , so it must at all times be kept Pure and unsullied by the physical desires that destroys the World . Let us never forget that our body is to be A Home For HaShem To Dwell Within and so must be Pure and Holy and Spiritually and Physically Clean Always . Let us all be a Vessel to hold The Light Of HaShem and speak words always of Sweetness and Holiness and Light and let That Light Shine out of us and out of our physicality in Purity as we live our lives as Vessels For HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . With Deepest Forever And Eternal Love To HaShem , I wish HaShem With Forever And Eternal Love , A Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Deepest Love And Chag Pesach Sameach with Deepest Love and to all of my fellow Jews , a Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Chag Pesach Sameach with love . The Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Acharei Mos . The Haftorah for this Sedra is in Amos 9 : 7 - 15 and just like in the Parsha , when we Keep HaShem's Torah Commandments And Follow HaShem Only , we Are Blessed To Remain in the Holy land of Israel and can warrant the Coming of Mashiach , may he come soon in our Days With HaShem . It was after the passing of Aharon's two sons Nadav and Avihu That HaShem Told Moshe to tell Aharon not to come at all times into the Sanctuary , in the Inner Part , Where HaShem's Shechinah Rests . It is here that we learn that Aharon's two sons tried to approach HaShem here , thus not displaying the correct respect and humility . HaShem Is Beyond Holy . Holiness too as is everything else , Is A Creation Of HaShem . HaShem Is Above Creation . We are to always give HaShem the utmost respect , even when we Address Him or refer To Him . So many in this World bring HaShem's Name down to a colloquialism , for every day talk and even going so far as to speak with ugly swearing using His Name , Chas Ve Shalom . This is a sin beyond sin . HaShem And His Name Is Beyond Sacred and must be treated as such . Even in Holy Speech we are to be careful not to over - use HaShem's Name , but to treat His Name with the utmost respect and Kavod Honour . Even when saying a Brocha , we are cautioned in Halacha not to say a Blessing in vain and our Rabbonim teach us what to do and say , Chas Ve Shalom , if we do . How much more so must the Holy of Holies in the Mishkan be respected , which Aharon's two sons did not do , by not giving It the Respect It Deserved . So HaShem Here Cautions that not at all times must Aharon go into this Holy Area . A time when it was permitted by the Kohein Gadol , was on Yom Kippur , the Day of Atonement and even so , the High Priest had to go into this Most Holy Area with pure white garments and performing the Avodah of the Ketores and only after practicing before-hand . This Parsha teaches the Yom Kippur Service , with all that is needed to be done on It . Yom Kippur , is the Day of Atonement on the 10th of Tishrei , the day when Moshe finally achieved Atonement for us for the Chait Ha Eigel ( golden calf ) and thus set as the Day Of HaShem's Mercy . It is also linked with the death of Aharon's two sons , as our Chazal teaches that the death of the Righteous can work toward an Atonement for that generation . All that the Torah mentions for Yom Kippur , was to be strictly done as Commanded . The idea of one Korban being set as a sin offering and the other sent to ' Azazel ' ( Az meaning strong and el meaning mighty ) and the idea of ' Azazel , ' is one of the Chukim of the Torah . It is interesting to note that the names of the two fallen angels in Noach's time that were linked with the Nephillim ( the Fallen Ones ) , that so lowered the spiritual level of the Earth at that time , were Shem-chazai ( Azai ) and Azael , and these two names fit into the word ' Azazel ' Midrash Bereishis ) . The one he - goat sent to ' Azazel , ' was taken to a tall cliff , high peak in the Wilderness . The Day of Atonement is the very day That HaShem Set For our Atonement , for it was after the Sin of the golden calf , the Chait Ha ' Eigel , that Moshe went Up To HaShem ( going up all together , in total , for a period of three different occasions , for a period of 40 days each time ) and it was on his last time up there , when Moshe left to go up on the 29th of Av , that after 40 days , on the 10th of Tishrei , the Day of Yom Kippur , that Moshe finally attained for us Atonement and so as I mentioned , this day is set for Atonement . Preparations for The Yom Kippur Service began 7 days before , for the Kohein Gadol , who would purify himself before , for the 7 days and on two of the days in between , would be sprinkled with the ashes of the Parah Aduma - The Red Heifer . Delegates would be sent to help him prepare and instruct him in all that would be necessary . On the Night of Yom Kippur , the Kohein Gadol would not sleep , but he would stay up and study and even had an attendant who would ensure that he stayed awake . During the Service throughout the day of Yom Kippur , the Kohein Gadol would immerse himself in the spring water five times and change his garments . When going into The Kodesh , he would remove his four garments of Gold ( as gold was used in the Chait Ha ' Eigel ) and wear only his other Garments of pure white , like the Malachim - Angels . Offerings were also done on This Holy Day and This Day , as The Parsha mentions , is known for the lots placed on two goats , one For HaShem and the other " Azazel . " The goat for Azazel , would be taken and sent with a designated person , that was to pass on within that year of doing this and this goat was to be sent off a precipice . Only then , would the Kohein Gadol continue with the Service . The Law of the he-goat to Azazel is a Chok , a Law For Which HaShem Has Given no explanation . Our Rabbonim of Blessed Memory do teach us what may be a few reasons for this particular set of Laws . None of them are a show to bribe a negative force on our behalf for that Day , Chas Ve Shalom . The word " Azazel " has a few derivations . I mentioned one already and another of them being , that the word " Azazel " can be broken up into the words ' Az ' which means ' goat ' and ' Azel , ' which means ' going , ' which is exactly what this procedure was , a goat that must go into the Wilderness . Also , the word " Azazel , " can also be broken up into the words ' Aziz ' - ' Strong ' and ' el ' - ' Mighty , ' for it was to a strong and mighty cliff and rock from which the goat had to be sent off from . Some of our Rabbis also assume that it referred to a specific cliff with this name . As I mentioned but to go into a little more detail , there is a deeper meaning within this word " Azazel . " This goes back to the time of Noach as I mentioned , that it was around that time that two Malachim Angels approached HaShem and questioned the morality of human beings . They asked HaShem why He Created humans , if these humans perform such acts of Immorality and Perversion . HaShem Told these two Angels , that it certainly is not easy to be a human being , with the pull of the Yetzer Horah and with the desires , human beings physically feel . These two Angels asked HaShem To Send them down so they could prove that they could do better . HaShem Warned them that it is hard to be human and that they cannot understand the pull of physicality that a human has . They insisted And HaShem Sent them down . Their names were Azael and Shemchazai ( shortened to Aza ) and when we put these two names together , one gets ' Azazel . ' These two Angels , when they did come down , realized how wrong they had been , for they were unable to contain or control themselves , with this experience of being in human bodies with human desires and appetites and so , ended up doing worse than the humans did , in sexual immorality and other sins . How interesting That HaShem Put the laws of Forbidden Relationships , in this very Parsha . These two Fallen Angels could not contain themselves with human women and brought forth a whole race of Nephillim , The Fallen Ones . It was then , That HaShem Sent the Mabul , the Flood , for the depths to which man stooped , left no place for betterment . People at that time , took more than one wife , one for having children and others for their own personal pleasure . People exchanged wives and at that time , people also indulged in the horrific act of bestiality and other forbidden relationships , That HaShem , In this very Torah Portion , Warns us against . People also at that time , arranged marriage contracts between people and animals and also allowed different species to come together , something That HaShem Strictly Forbade . No wonder this particular event , would bring on a need for such an act of atoning for the World within the connection of these two Angelic beings that both make up the name Azazel , for the sin of sexual immorality is , according to Halacha , one of the three most serious sins , the other two being Idol Worship and Murder , the three sins that a Jew is to give up his or her life for , rather than commit them . There may also be a connection with this name Azazel , to Samael , the Angel of Eisav , the Angel who tempted Chava in Gan Eiden . This Angel Samael , insisted to HaShem , that it wants to Judge the Jewish people , as all other nations get judged . HaShem , Needing to be fair , Gave Samael the permission to Judge us only on Yom Kippur , For HaShem Knew that this would be a day that all Jews , even those who do not correctly Keep all The Laws That HaShem Tells us To Keep , that this would be a Day , that all Jews would Remember Yom Kippur and try their best and Atone . So HaShem Knew that even on this day , Samael's negative intention would hold no power over HaShem's Beloved people . Samael wanted some form of recompense and so , a he - goat is sent for this purpose as an offering to HaShem , that Samael can think is to do with him . As I said , Samael is the Angel of our greatest enemy Eisav Amalek and Eisav was to have the place mountain called Se'ir . This name has a deep reason , for the word ' Se'ir ' means ' hair ' for Eisav was born very hairy and so this place was an indication of his hairy hard nature , which looks to gratifying his own physical appetites and his need for hunting and eating meat , one of them being the he-goat , where a ' Se'ir , ' also means ' he-goat . ' Let us remember the goat that Eisav was to bring to his Father , the goat that Yaakov brought to his Father and the goat that was dipped in blood by Yosef's brothers , that they brought to their Father Yaakov - How Deeply Beautiful And Special Is The Holy Torah . Thus the he-goat is also sent off to Atone against the affects that those people around us Jews attempt to do to us , in trying to turn us away from Holy Judaism . The goat has sadly been a representative symbol for Satanistic beliefs for a long time and so , this characteristic , comes from Eisav and his ilk around us , that have performed the most despicable atrocities throughout history , especially to us Jews through time . The Torah Portion portion teaches that the Yom Kippur Service is to be an Eternal Decree for us Jews . The Torah Portion then continues with the prohibition not to eat blood , for in all parts of the beheimah , it is their blood that is for atonement . That does not mean that blood is the only way to atone , as some of the heretical thinkers try to claim , for the verse directly says that in all parts of the animal , the part of blood is the part for atonement , ( never to be eaten ) , in connection with offerings and that there are other ways to atone , like at a time , when we do not have a Temple , HaShem , Many Times Teaches us that our lips substitute for bulls and rams . Thus Blood is not to be eaten , as some nations did in those days . Torah then Teaches us of the Forbidden Relationships , that we as HaShem's People that are to be a Holy People , are not to engage in , as the Egyptians and Canaanites indulged in . We are cautioned as a people to not behave as the Canaanites did or others , but to remain Pure and Holy and Modest in such matters and thus to be a Kingdom of Priests and a Holy Nation , As HaShem Requests of us . We are not to behave as the Canaanites did in the Holy Land for it is such a Holy Land Close To HaShem , that it will disgorge any such impure immoral people . Israel is not to be a place like new york or paris or any of the other main city in the World . Israel is to be a total place of Holiness . Immoral sexual acts cannot abide in this Holy Land . It is to be a Land where Purity of marriage and union be kept . HaShem Lists the Forbidden Relationships , forbidding incest , bestiality and homosexual unions . We , as Jews are to be a Holy People Unto HaShem and not bring these lewd sexual practices to The Holy Land , which the nations before there , were thrown out for doing . An example of this were the four cities of Sodom , Amorah ( Gemorrah ) Admah and Tzeboyyim . These cities were destroyed , being within the Holy Land ( The fifth city that was set for destruction Tzoar , was saved on account of Lot and his daughters having to run there ) . Israel is not to be like other lands and will not tolerate any impurity within its borders and any lack of following Torah there . It must be a land where Torah is kept and not become , Chas Ve Shalom , like other cities around the World that are secular and far away from HaShem's Commandments . Israel is Very Close To HaShem And HaShem's ' Eyes ' Are Always On this Land Closely and so , It is to be kept Pure and Holy and Torah Following . HaShem Gives us Laws , not just for the sake of it , but so that we can Emulate HaShem . These Laws of not committing any of the forbidden relationships , are there to aid us in Emulating HaShem . How is this so ? The true union between a Husband and Wife , is something that cannot be gotten with other forbidden relationships . It is at such a time , when the couple are truly one , As HaShem Commanded in the Beginning that a man shall leave his Father and his Mother and cling to his wife and they shall become one flesh , Bereishis 2 : 24 . It is at such a time , that they become one . HaShem Is One and so , as they become one , not just physically , but spiritually too , they thus Emulate The Oneness Of HaShem . It is a Closeness To HaShem that is gotten in a beautiful way , unlike any other . So to turn away from this and seek forbidden relationships , is to turn away from that Holy Oneness and thus is a rebellion against HaShem Himself , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Calls Upon us to do a Kiddush HaShem and give up our lives , as I mentioned , on three occasions , one is when forced to worship Avodah Zorah Idolatry , another is when asked to commit Murder and thirdly , Sexual Immorality . All these three , lead away from HaShem and it is very important not to transgress these sins . Among these , is mentioned the Law not to pass our children through to molech , which was a ritual where a child was passed between two flames in front of the assyrian idol that had a calf's face with outstretched hands and 7 compartments in its heated stomach , where the child was put into the 7th compartment . It is interesting to note that the this idol called molech , was like an egyptian form of baal , from where the term ' baal-zebub ' came from and that in islam , they have an angel called ' maalik ' which is their angel of hellfire and that their angel called malakbel , from the ancient canaanite religion , was at the time , the idol messenger of baal , the idol . No wonder they used fire on children at the time , if the belief was of hellfire . May the whole World stop all forms of idol worship Avodah Zorah and Follow HaShem Only Who Is One - Devarim Deuteronomy 6 : 4 . HaShem Then Cautions us not to follow , in any way shape or form , the abominations of the nations , who did all these depravities and so did Israel , the Land , The Place Of HaShem's Special Closeness , did disgorge them from the Holy Land , a Land that will never tolerate any form of depravity , secularism or immorality or idol worship of any nation . It must be a Land of Milk And Honey , Of Torah and Sweet Holiness , For HaShem . In The Sefer Midrash Vayikra of Rabbi Weissman , he goes into details of how today this molech type of worship is still a problem , not that this cult is worshiped today , but that our Jewish children are not to be given over to secular education without Torah Values , for their upbringing as Jews can be lost to the new ways of secular society today . It is easy in this modern World for a young person's mind to be turned away from traditional values and sadly then , a Jew is lost , Chas Ve Shalom . So easy is the pull of negative ways and the Yetzer Horah to be taken by these negative ways . Our people must get a proper Torah Education and proper Jewish Values and grow up in an atmosphere of Holiness , with no pull of secular foreign and pagan ways . Not doing so , could lose Jewish people to the pull of false religions and idol worship , Chas Ve Shalom . Such is today's warning with molech . The Parsha ends with HaShem Telling us to Safegurd His Charge Thus Keeping It Holy , not to do any of the abominable things that nations did before us , nor contaminate ourselves with them , with the Parsha ending With HaShem Telling us " I Am HaShem your G-D . " Thus , we are to put into place Laws that will keep us far away from transgressing the Torah Law , as Rabbi Akiva taught , to ' Put a Fence Around The Holy Torah , ' to ensure that we do not even get close to breaking the Torah Law . In the case of Forbidden Relationships , our Rabbis instituted Yichud , to make sure , knowing that we each have a Yetzer Horah , that we are not alone with a person of the opposite gender where transgression , in the hands of the Yetzer Horah can be an easy target . The Laws of Yichud are far and wide and though some might think they are outdated , our Rabbis teach us that the Yetzer Horah that is strongest in this area of forbidden relationships , keeps the pull toward this kind of transgression , the same as it was in Adam's time . HaShem In His Wisdom of Creation , Knows the human psyche and power of this area and Thus Wants us to be very careful in this subject . Safeguards are there for our protection and as Yosef showed us , keeping away from immorality , brings us Closer To The Shechinah Of HaShem . HaShem Wants To Shower us With His Goodness And Blessings . HaShem Wants us Close To Him . HaShem Wants the same relationship With us that we would have had , had we stayed in Gan Eiden , where Adam Ve Chava walked With HaShem in the Garden . Sadly , we are not on a level right now to do this and the only way to get on that level Is Through HaShem's Holy Torah . We need to work at it every day . The path back to Gan Eiden Is Only Through HaShem's Laws And Tests . We are not ready to stand Before HaShem's Shechinah yet , even if some of us think we are . Nadav and Avihu also thought they were ready to stand Before HaShem's Shechinah . They too were not yet ready . Only When HaShem Decides , will we be ready . In the mean time , we have to prove ourselves every day and make ourselves ready every day , growing Higher In Holiness every day , With HaShem's Laws . There is no other way To HaShem But By HaShem's Way . Every day we need to atone for the previous day and work at ourselves . The time will come , but it isn't right now . But it could be in the next minute . It all depends on us . It always has depended on us and our Humility and Obedience To HaShem . HaShem Is Waiting And Is Always Ready To Receive us . It is for us to make ourselves ready For HaShem . HaShem Awaits us . Gan Eiden awaits us . Shamayim awaits us . May we all get on The point where we ourselves think of nothing else , but that the real holy versions of us all , await us and that once and for all , nothing else but HaShem , Is our destination . HaShem's Gift of Torah Is our Pathway That HaShem Commands of us With HaShem's Eternal Love , using the Life That HaShem Gives us . So guard This Gift of Life That HaShem Gives us , with honor and live in The Arms Of HaShem Forever . As this Parsha ends with the words , " You shall be Holy for Me , for I HaShem Am Holy , " it is within these words wherein is the secret of life eternal and our garments to wear in this World , as we travel The Path To Ultimate Holiness In Following HaShem's Laws In Love and make our every destination , The Loving Holy Arms In Closeness Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Tazria . The Haftorah for this Sedra is in II Kings 4 : 42 - 5 : 19 and also deals with the subject of Tzaraas which comes up in the Parashah . Parashas Tazria starts with the Laws of Purification , on the birth of male and female children . We just discussed in the previous Sedra about the contamination of various animals and now naturally , Torah Goes On to The Laws of Purification of people . But why were animals mentioned first before people ? Just as in Creation , HaShem Created the animals first and then humans , So Does HaShem Deal First With contamination of animals before humans . This is also a lesson in human humility for should man become too conceited , HaShem Reminds him that even the Gnat was Created before him . HaShem Starts With the Laws of Human Purity in this Sedra , at the beginning of a person's life , at birth . This also indicates a very important lesson . HaShem Could Easily Have Created humans perfect but instead , we are given the opportunity from the beginning to work on our own , gaining in Purity and Holiness and so , can we earn the merit of it ourselves . Thus HaShem Commands The Laws of Purity to already be in place at birth . HaShem Watches the birth of every member of Creation And Is With all of His Creation , Even Before birth , Still Performing Miracles Within the womb . The very fact that an entire human being starts as it does and grows into an adult is such a Beautiful Miracle Of HaShem . The Whole concept of " Tazria , " - " Giving Birth , " Is An Awesome Act Of Kindness From HaShem , Who Is A Part of Every Conception With the Parents And Shows us That right at the beginning of every life , HaShem Is There For us . The very act of Tamei Contamination at Birth , goes back to the action of Chava , at the Beginning when she disobeyed HaShem . Before her Aveirah , Birth could have been a pure and painless act . Now every birth comes with a touch of needed climb for purity . The Woman brings as a Korban , both an Elevation offering and a Sin Offering . The Sin Offering goes back as an Atonement for Chava and the Elevation Offering is like the guilt offering here , where she regrets the possibility of vowing at the time of the painful childbirth that she may have wrongly spoken out that she will never be with her husband again . The Idea also of these offerings is that we start out birth clearing ourselves of any negativities that can bring us to Sin and then we work to Elevate ourselves Higher . Parashas Tazria discusses a Woman's Conception and of the period of contamination for a male or female child after the birth . When a male gets born , he is to be circumcised on the eighth day . For a certain period , the Mother is to have a separation period of purity . Our Holy Torah Tells us that if she has a male child , that period is half the time of a female child , thus for a male child , she is contaminated for 7 days and for 33 days , she shall remain in blood of purity , not being able to touch anything holy , or enter the Sanctuary until her days of purity are completed ( thus a total of 7 + 33 = 40 days ) and if she has a female child , she will be contaminated for two weeks and for 66 days , she shall remain in blood of purity ( thus a total of 14 + 66 = 80 days ) . Our Rabbis say that the time is doubled for a female child , because it takes forty days for the life - form to develop into a male and 80 days for the life - form to develop into a female . It is so interesting that the forty days minimum that it takes , is the same amount of time that Moshe was up each of the three times on Har Sinai and also during the Mabul , The Flood in Noach's time , it rained for 40 days and 40 nights , suggesting that this period of 40 , is a time given to make that which is within it , purified . So the life - form is within the birth sac and remains purified . When her days of purity are completed , the Mother brings as an Elevation Offering and a Sin Offering . The reason for the two offerings are because during her labour , she may have , due to the pain , as I mentioned , sworn an oath never to live with her husband again and also , she brings an Offering , in lieu of Chava , for whose actions , women suffer in childbirth and thus every child bearing Woman can thus atone for Chava Eve . Also , she atones for any negative feelings she may have had against her husband and even negative feelings she may have had against HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom . This is when a Woman " Tazria , " - " Conceives . " There Are Miracles From HaShem every day , all the time , in every moment and in every instant that exists . HaShem Blesses us With Creation , A Most Amazing Miracle . We really do not realize The Wonderful Beautiful Miracle that HaShem Gives us , in childbirth . When it is time to bring the Soul to the baby to come , HaShem Calls the Malach Angel Layla to bring the soul , either out of Shamayim or Gan Eiden or from The Gaf ( a Holding Place of Souls ) , that soul that will go into that baby . Though the soul does not want to leave its Holy Place of rest , HaShem Instructs the Soul That in order to earn merit , that soul needs to come into a Physical Body and so gain merit and raise itself in Holiness , by keeping HaShem's Mitzvos . What A Beautiful Miracle . Even while it is within its Mother , HaShem Performs so many Miracles for it . The very heat within the Mother would be impossible for a human being to stand for so long , But HaShem , Who Never Leaves , Miraculously Protects it , For He Is At The Birth Of Every Life-Form In His Creation . How Beautiful A Fact . The Position in which the Life-form lies , within the Mother , Is A Miracle From HaShem , for gravity alone would make it fall out , Yet HaShem Miraculously Keeps it In , Until The Time Is Ready For it To Be Born . HaShem Directs Toward it , all its necessary food and when it Is Born By HaShem's Miracle , HaShem Miraculously Gives the Mother the power to feed it milk from her very own body , the healthiest of all , for her baby . The Life-form if it would have waste products , from its nourishment within the Mother , would under other circumstances , hurt the Mother , But HaShem Miraculously Takes Care Of That . The very act of conceiving a child , from a small part from the Mother , With HaShem's Miracle and a drop from the Father , With HaShem's Miracle , for that to form a child , with all its faculties and everything it needs to grow into the adult , Is Such A Great Miracle And Act Of Love From HaShem . Oh yes , Conception Is Such A Continuing Miracle Of The Almighty , Praised And Forever Blessed Be HaShem's Beautiful And Beloved Name . From this point on in this Parsha of Tazria and into the next Parsha of Metzora , Tzaraas is discussed and all its allied impurities that can come on the skin or body part of a person is also discussed , Afflictions on Garments and if in Israel , on houses , where if it appeared on a house , if it came to having to remove stones from the house , the previous Canaanite tenants , who had hidden their precious items in the walls to hide them away from us , their hidden wares , would then be revealed . HaShem Sends Tzaraas , for 10 different kinds of Aveirahs , being :- Idolworship , Murder , Immorality , Performing a Chillul HaShem - A Desecration of HaShem's Name , Robbery , Greed and having an evil eye , Making a Vain Oath , Conceit and Arrogance , Loshon Horah - Slander ( the main reason ) and Doing something not allowed by the person who does it - like a king performing the rites of a Kohein . The main sin that Tzaraas Is Sent for , is Loshon Horah . So ends the Parsha . As I mentioned , the main sin that Tzaraas is sent for , is Loshon Horah , for basically defaming and slandering someone , or others . Tzaraas is not modern day Leprosy . Both are very different . Modern day Leprosy comes out with black swellings , whereas Tzaraas Afflictions are impure when they are white or if they have flesh exposed within them , or if they have two white hairs in them . Tzaraas is very much A Spiritual Affliction , Sent By HaShem , To Manifest Physically, for wrongs done . In that day and time , the Sins we did Were Manifest Upon us , on our bodies , or out of mercy sometimes , first on one's garment , or on one's house only in Israel , but not in Yerushalayim . A person who may have been miserly , claiming that he had nothing to give others , but in reality he did have , may have Tzaraas Appear On his house in Israel , so that he would have to remove first all of his possessions from the house before the Kohein could come and possibly declare his house Impure Tamei . The articles within the house , would have to be removed first , so that if the Kohein would come and the articles were not in the house , the articles could then be clear of being declared Tamei - Impure , something they could not be declared of , if they were not removed first from the house before the house was declared Tamei . Thus all the people would see that he was being miserly and that he had the where with all to have helped others and that he had just dishonestly made out he was unable . As I just explained , the possessions had to be removed first , so that they would not be declared Tamei when the house is declared Tamei , for once the House is declared Tamei , then all things within it , are Tamei . Loshon Horah is a very grave sin . It hurts without warning . A person who Loshons , is an abomination To HaShem And HaShem Says That such a person cannot abide in Creation alongside HaShem , for such a person denies The Way That HaShem Creates that person and the Loshoner tries to refashion that person in his own negative image and in his own negative view . Thus the Loshoner is akin to an idol worshiper who makes himself out to be a creator , of the person loshoned , in the Loshoner's own negative view and image , Chas Ve Shalom . The very first one to commit the sin of Loshon Horah , was the Nachash the Snake in Gan Eiden in the Beginning , with the Angel Samael within it . Samael blasphemed and Loshoned HaShem and so , caused Adam Ve Chava to Sin and Eat that which they were Commanded Not To eat and so was the woman punished with painful childbirth and impurity , which both Adam Ve Chava now had ( impurity ) . What was the snake's punishment ? To crawl in the very dust that was its words , for such are the words of Loshon Horah and slander , that is akin to speaking dust . The snake's tongue was also split and separated , just like Loshon Horah and Slander separates people from others who are spoken badly about . The Snake , which once stood upright and regal , was made to crawl on its belly and from it's arrogance and conceit , a trait of the one who commits Loshon Horah , it was forced to be lowered and was humbled . Loshon Horah hurts three people , the Loshoner , the Listener to the Loshon Horah and the Victim who is the one spoken about . A story is told of a man who came before a Judge , for he had bad mouthed his neighbour and it had caused harm to his neighbour and the perpetrator was seeking and pleading with the Judge for a way to make up for it and atone . The Judge told him to take pieces of paper and to write upon them words about himself and to go out into the street and to throw them into the wind and to come back to the Judge the next day . The man did this and came back to the Judge the next day and asked the Judge if he could now be forgiven . The Judge told him , only if he can go back to where he threw the pieces and collect every single one of them . The man said that this is impossible , as by now , the wind has carried them to places he can not possible collect them back from , or know of where . The Judge responded that so is it the same with Loshon Horah and Slander , for it is impossible to retract what one has said and it is impossibly to possibly know how far , in the wind , has a person's slanderous words travelled and they can never be retrieved or retracted , for rumours carry and even when the truth comes out , not every one will believe it . No wonder a bird is one of the offerings brought for Cleansing from Tzaraas , as birds often chirp and chatter in the open , just like Loshon Horah chatters constantly in the open - so say our Rabbonim . Even in Dovid Ha Melech's time , a man slandered Mefiboshes , son of David's beloved friend Jonathon and this ended up starting the punishment that ended in the final split of the Tribes of Israel after Shlomo's Son Rechavam separated the kingdoms . Slander splits and divides and separates people . This is the exact opposite Of What HaShem Wants . HaShem Wants togetherness and unity , in following HaShem Only . The Very Peace of Unity holds HaShem's Beautiful Gift To us Of Creation , on the Right Path towards HaShem . Slander is a very grave sin . Even Shlomo Hamelech said in Mishlei that " Death and Life are in the hands of the Tongue . " It is no wonder that the Punishment for Loshon Horah , is impurity and forced distance from other people and obvious signs of impurity , for that is exactly what the Loshoner did to others , by making them look impure and wrong to others and by their evil talk and tongue , caused distance between others , so now the one afflicted by Tzaraas for Loshon Horah must be alone and isolated and call out , ' Tamei Tamei Impure Impure . ' We lost our Holy Temples because of Loshon Horah and Groundless Hatred among our brethren . " A Sword can kill one , but a word can kill many . " Loshon Horah " - " Evil Tongue Speech , " is Murder to the one spoken about . In fact Loshon Horah has within it the breaking of every one of The Ten Commandments . It blasphemes HaShem's Name , for it attacks HaShem's Creation , Chas Ve Shalom , The Way HaShem Made a person . It is like Idol worship , for it puts the Loshoner in the place of one who wants to recreate another person , in a way HaShem Did Not , For HaShem Is The Only Creator . To Loshon is to doubt HaShem and His Creation As Creator . To Loshon is to take HaShem's Name in Vain , showing no respect For What And How HaShem Created things . To Loshon is to show HaShem that the Loshoner is arrogantly trying to make his own false creation , thus denying HaShem As Creator , Chas Ve Shalom , which is exactly the opposite of what Shabbos Testifies , that we keep Shabbos , which also acknowledges That HaShem Created the other six days . If one can Loshon others , then one can be brought to the stage of Loshoning one's own Parents , thus dishonouring them , Chas Ve Shalom . Loshoning can kill a person's character and other's opinions of the one Loshoned and also embarrasses them , causing blood to drain from their face , which Halachically is akin to murder . Loshon Horah brings about unfaithfulness by others to the one Loshoned , which is akin to adultery . Loshon Horah causes theft of a person's real character akin to kidnapping their real character . Certainly , Loshon Horah causes the bearing of False Witness against the one Loshoned , putting them wrongly in a way that they are not . Loshon Horah causes hatred of the one Loshoned by those who listen to it and the listeners can thus be caused to covet the one Loshoned . Thus Loshon Horah Evil Tongue , breaks all The Ten Commandments and thus every Law of HaShem Given on Har Sinai . Also , Seeing As HaShem Created the World With Ten Pronouncements , Loshon Horah Directly Attacks HaShem's Creation And Also The Fact That HaShem Created the World With Ten Pronouncements , for as I mentioned , it breaks every one of The Ten Commandments . So is the Punishment for Tzaraas , for ten types of Aveirah . HaShem Put the tongue behind the barriers of the teeth and gums in the mouth so as to keep it in check , as a barrier against a loose tongue of slander Loshon Horah . The tongue is the only muscle in the body that has horizontal freedom . HaShem Thus Gave us Barriers to the tongue , the Teeth and Gums of the Mouth , to help us keep it in check . Yet HaShem Allowed us the easiest ability to earn Mitzvos with our Speech in Holy Talk , By Allowing the tongue muscle , the freedom to speak . So HaShem Wants us to Guard our Tongue , But Still Mercifully Gives us a way to easily earn many Mitzvos , by using the easy moving tongue , made in a resting horizontal position , to be easily able to speak Words Of Holiness Of Torah . We must thus not change it around , but must ensure that we take HaShem's Safeguards and Guard our Tongue from Loshon Horah and easily speak Holy Words , by learning much Torah and so , make this World , a World of Torah Love and Harmony , Where HaShem Can Be Made Welcome with love always . So if we stop Committing Loshon Horah and if we all start keeping HaShem's Commandments , we will stop being afflicted with Tzaraas and we can go back to the Beginning , where child birth was painless and there was no impurity . It is within our reach . All we have to do , Is What HaShem Wants us To Do . All we Have to do is To Follow HaShem , in our total love and obedience . Gan Eiden and Shamayim are so reachable . If only we would just Reach Up To HaShem and all of us Obey HaShem . HaShem Made us In Total Love . HaShem Discusses in detail The Laws Of Tzaraas and human contamination , should a person Sin , Chas Ve Shalom . Different kinds of Tzaraas are discussed , from Tzaraas on the skin , to the head , to a garment , to a house , as I mentioned and how the Kohein is to judge if it is Tzaraas and what to do with it and as I mentioned earlier , we are told of ten different reasons for Tzaraas and The Gemorah in Erchin 15 , lists an eleventh one , which is making a vain oath ( Midrash Says Vayikra - R Weissman ) . The whole idea of Tzaraas is so far removed from what we know today as Leprosy . Today's leprosy is a physical ailment , whereas Tzaraas is a spiritual affliction that comes out physically . The Kohanim had to know all the different Laws regarding Tzaraas and how to differentiate between over 300 different types of Tum'a Tzaraas . It shows us that how we behave and what we do religiously , or in this case , also not do what we should do , can have a very physical manifestation . HaShem Furnishes the afflicted with a suitable punishment , for just as the one afflicted may have Loshoned and thus isolated others , so was the afflicted , forced to leave the Clouds of Glory and isolate themselves from others , putting on sackcloth and calling out ' Tamei Tamei , ' should anyone come near them . We need to take this into account , for the way we act , shows on our very Physicality and our negative emotions does reflect Spiritually on the outside . The Haftorah Portion for this Parsha in II Kings 4 : 42 - 5 : 19 is the story of Naaman , general from Aram , who was leprous . There was a young Jewish girl taken into Aram's territory who spoke out and advised that he should go to Elisha , the Jewish prophet to help. So the king of Aram sent a letter to the king of Israel Yehoram to assist . The King of Israel thought it was a trap pretext to attack and so , tore up the letter . Elisha was angry at the king's reaction and said , " Let Naaman come . " Naaman came to his house , with wealth and Elisha never came out , but told him to go bathe seven times in the Jordan river , but Naaman thought he knew better , saying that his own rivers were just as good . Naaman's sons persuaded their father to listen and Naaman went and bathed seven times in the Jordan and his Leprosy was healed . Elisha told his servant Geichazi not to accept any gifts , for Elisha wanted it made clear That It Was HaShem Who Had Saved Naaman and not Elisha himself . This story continued , that Geichazi and his sons with him , deceitfully ran after Naaman , to try and get the valuables under false pretenses . When Elisha prophetically saw what Geichazi did , Elisha cursed his deceitful servant Geichazi and his sons with Leprosy and they were stricken . They ended up to be the Lepers who stood outside the city gate subsequently and who were hungry and they made their way to the enemy camp and found the enemy had run due to a conflagration Which HaShem Had Sent and so , they returned to report this to Israel . Geichazi had previously mocked Elisha and Elisha's staff , when Elisha on another occasion had sent Geichazi with Elisha's staff to try heal the sin of the Shunamite woman's son and on the way , Geichazi loshoned his master and mocked him . So Loshon Horah is a big reason for Tzaraas to appear . HaShem Put Into our hands our own destinies . What we choose to do , is where we lead ourselves to . HaShem Wants us to be a partner In His Work , by bringing ourselves to completion . This starts at birth and never stops our whole lives . There is not a single moment in this World where we cannot grow . Every moment we Are Given By HaShem , has within it many opportunities for Spiritual Growth . We just have to look out for them and bring each moment into Heaven . Every moment for us all can either be a step up or a step down . Which one it is , is purely our choice . To waste a single moment on trivial physicalities is a waste Of The Sweet Beautiful And Kind Reason That HaShem Gives us To grow . Our prophets of old knew deep Spiritual things . Like Elisha who knew that Naaman's solution was hidden in the Torah , for Naaman's name started and ended with a Nun , as did a few other verses , like the verse that speaks of the subject of Tzaraas Laws starts and ends with a Nun and also with respect to this very subject where another verse in The Torah that refers to the Jordan river , also starts with and ends with a Nun , as does another verse in Torah that refers to seven times immersing , also start with and end with a Nun ( Midrash Says - Vayikra - R . Weissman ) , so all things are in The Torah And HaShem Saw To all things . All we need to do is to Follow HaShem's Ways . HaShem Is In the most minute action and even when trials come or punishments happen , HaShem Is There To Improve us . No one is immune from learning a lesson . Even a King , like King David , who after the incident with Bas-Sheva , was stricken with Tzaraas for six months and isolated , until he had worked through the Aveirah he had done . All of us are here to learn and grow and work through our weaknesses so we can become better beings that Bless HaShem instead of just Blaspheming HaShem ( Chas Ve Shalom ) , as Golias ( Goliath ) did every day he came out to mock HaShem and the Jewish people from the Pelishtim , when David called On HaShem To Strike Golias with Tzaraas , before David killed him with a slingshot With HaShem's Help, for David could not abide any mockery of HaShem . It is interesting to note that as David was descended from Ruth in Moav , so was Golias descended from Orpah ( her sister - in - law ) in Moav , both these women being daughter's in law of Naomi , where Ruth chose to go with Naomi home , unlike Orpah who chose to stay in Moav with its Avodah Zorah . Thus David and Golias had to meet . Our Parsha Tazria Teaches that working toward Purity starts at birth and continues on . We dare not waste a single moment for each moment is very precious And Is A Gift from HaShem . So let us appreciate every moment we Are Given By HaShem , For HaShem Gives us Life To Truly Spiritually Live . May we all open our eyes To HaShem and take HaShem's Gift Of Life And True Living and Start to Truly Live HaShem's Way , For Only That Is True Living . May we all keep pure and holy and live every moment For HaShem , That we Are Given By HaShem . Let us make our entire lives For HaShem , Who Gives us life . Let us all Be For HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He .
