Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Ki Tissa . In this Parsha , we read of the Chait Ha Eigel , the Golden Calf incident and so the Haftorah for this Parsha is in 1 Kings 18 : 1 - 39 ( Sephardim only read from verse 20 - 39 ) and tells of the prophets of baal and how Eliyahu , like Moshe , gives the people the opportunity to choose the right path . In the previous Sedra , The Incense Altar was mentioned , so we start this Parsha of Ki Tissa , with more Instructions of what is necessary for the Tent of Meeting . HaShem Instructs Moshe That when he takes a census of the Children of Israel , " Ki Tissa , " each person is to give a half shekel when counting them so that there be no plague among them when counting them . We know from of old that we are not to count Jews directly but rather to use objects or verses from Psalms when numbering , for Satan accounts everyone's sins and when Jews count Jews directly , they are highlighted for the Aveirahs they do and Satan brings their Aveirahs before The Heavenly Court and he calls upon HaShem's Attribute Of Justice To Come To The Fore And For HaShem's Attribute Of Mercy To Stand Back . So we make sure that we never count Jews directly but rather use verses from Tehillim Psalms or objects or something else in the counting . The effects of the plague in Dovid Ha Melech's time , certainly showed why we must not count Jews directly , when Dovid counted the people ( misunderstanding the Torah Verse here when he had the people counted ) and to counteract the Plague that ensued , through his study of our Deep Holy Torah , he knew to institute the pronouncing of a Hundred Blessings every day that we need to make , which in his time , stopped the Plague . In Dovid Ha Melech's time , 70 000 people died in that Plague . The Evil Eye , when we show how many we are or when we are obvious with what we have and over show or display it to others , is watching and waiting to do negativity , thus counting of our people must not ever be direct . Our Sages believe that when some of the nations at the time saw us receiving The Torah , some cast an eye of jealousy and this brought negativity and we all know what the result was in this , where The Tablets that were first given amid open celebration , ended up being shattered . So The Second Tablets were given more quietly ( Yalkut MeAm Loez ) . Thus HaShem Had us use half a Shekel in the counting . Wealthy and poor alike were to give half a Shekel to atone for their souls and to be given for the work of The Tent Of Meeting and as a remembrance Before HaShem for the Children of Israel , to atone for our souls . How Special Is HaShem To Have Made it Half a Shekel amount , for it would thus take two Jews to make a single full Shekel , which shows that no Jew is an Island but must always be together with his or her fellow Jew religiously to make the whole and we are thus to be at one with our fellow Jews , As HaShem Is One ( Devarim 6 : 4 ) . We need our fellow Jews to help lift us up and better ourselves and all of us as a nation must be one as a nation Keeping All Of HaShem's Mitzvos . HaShem Then Instructed On The making of The Copper " Kiyor " - " Laver " for Aharon and his sons to wash their hands and feet , when they come to The Tent of Meeting or when approaching The Altar to serve , as an Eternal Decree for them and their offspring for the generations . The " Nechoshes " - " Copper " used in It would also spiritually work against Samael , who used the " Nachash " - " Snake " ( same root letters ) , to entice Chava - Eve . Even today , we Toivel Negel Vassar for various reasons and at certain times . HaShem Then Instructed On The Holy " Shemen Ha Mishchah " - " Anointment Oil " and It's ingredients . It was to be made with " the handiwork of a perfumer " so It's making would be exactly as a professional perfumer would make It , in that day , knowing how best to keep each ingredient pure and contained till and after mixing . With It , was The Tent of Meeting and The Ark of The Testimonial Tablets , The Table and all It's utensils , The Menorah and all It's utensils and The Incense Altar , The Elevation - Offering Altar and all It's utensils and The Laver and It's base to be anointed with The Anointment Oil and thus Sanctify Them so that They remain Holy of Holies . Aharon too and his sons , were to be anointed . This Oil is to remain throughout the generations and It is never to be duplicated . HaShem Instructed Moshe On The Incense and It's ingredients , also the handiwork of a perfumer and It's likeness was never to be made . HaShem Calls Betzalel son of Uri , son of Chur of the Tribe of Yehudah who was thirteen years old at the time and the great grandson of Miryam ( Midrash Shemos Rabbi Weissman ) . Chur was the one slain when he tried to stop the revellers at the Chait Ha Eigel Golden Calf . Miryam's great grandson being endowed and chosen , was a reward for her actions in saving Moshe and many other Jewish babies at the time of the decree of Pharaoh when the Egyptians killed our male babies and Miryam and her Mother Yocheved disobeyed Pharaoh's order . Betzalel Was Specially Endowed By HaShem , for all the work of making all That HaShem Wanted Made , By HaShem Giving him an understanding of the depth of each article that was to be made , a depth that showed it's Spiritual Meaning and Representation of its Counterpart in Shamayim Heaven . Also , Betzalel , say our Rabbis , was shown the beauty of the mechanics Of How HaShem Created Creation With The Hebrew Letters . Betzalel's name within it is " Betzail El " - which means , " in the Shadow Of The Almighty , " ( Midrash Shemos - Rabbi Weissman ) , For HaShem Let him see The Inner Workings Of Creation . HaShem Also Called to help him , Oholiav son of Achisamach of the Tribe of Dan . HaShem Then Instructs On The Shabbos As A Sign between HaShem And us , for keeping the Shabbos shows a full faithful belief In The Truth That HaShem Made the other Six Days of Creation . The Shabbos is put here in this specific place In The Holy Torah , with the making of the Tabernacle , for those labours needed for its construction are the same 39 Melachos - Forbidden Labours that are forbidden to be done on the Shabbos for even for Shabbos must the Construction take a halt , for Shabbos is to be kept and we are to obey The Laws of The 39 Melachos to make sure that we do not do these forbidden labours on The Holy Shabbos Kodesh . When HaShem Finished Talking To Moshe , HaShem Gave Moshe The Two Tablets of Testimony , Stone Tablets Inscribed By The Finger Of G-D . Moshe had gone up the Mountain on the 7th of Sivan and said he would return forty days and forty nights later . The people mistook the time , for they counted as part of the forty days , the day that he left them and this was not the case . They therefore expected him back on the 16th of Tammuz , but he was due back on the 17th of Tammuz ( now a Fast Day ) . When midday came and went on the 16th , the people started to agitate . Satan took advantage of the situation and even showed them in the air , a part of the physicality of Moshe , which he had shed when he went up the Mountain , making them think he had died , Chas Ve Shalom , which he had not . The people started to agitate and they crowded around Aharon . It was the Eirev Rav , the 3000 mixed multitude that had come with the Children of Israel , that incited them to worry . It was the Eirev Rav that were outside the Clouds of Glory , not travelling within the Camp of Israel , that took this worry to their advantage , by saying to Aharon that they wanted a leader themselves as a representation of Moshe ( Yalkut MeAm Loez ) . The Vision Of HaShem's Throne of Glory , The Merkava , had ( as Yechezkiel mentions ) four images on it , an ox , a man , a lion and an eagle and so , they thought a representation of an ox would hold a place for The Holiness Of HaShem . How wrong they were . Chur had tried to stop them but they had slain him with stones . In crowding around Aharon , they threatened him too . Aharon knew that Moshe would be back and he tried to tell them so , but they refused to believe him and they told Aharon to make " gods " plural to go before them , for they thought that their leader Moshe was not returning . Yanus and Yambrus , Bilaam's sons ( Bilaam being as some of our Sages tell us , Lavan's grandson ) had come with and when Aharon asked the people for their gold rings , he thought that the women would protest saying that this should not be done To HaShem , which is exactly what the women did ( and thus the women were rewarded for all time with not having to work on Rosh Chodesh ) , for Aharon hoped that this would delay the people long enough so that Moshe would by then return . A man came along by the name of Micha , whom Moshe had saved as a baby , That HaShem Had Advised Moshe not to save , for this baby Micha was going to be put into the building for the Egyptians , as a brick , as many of our babies were put in to their walls . Moshe had saved baby Micha and subsequently when Moshe was raising the coffin of Yosef from the Nile and using a scroll that Moshe had written on it , the words " Alei Shor Alei Shor " - " Arise Ox Arise Ox , " which was Yaakov's representation of Yosef , as a strong boned ox that keeps to our Holy Beliefs without wavering . Micha that day , after Yosef's coffin had been raised , took the scroll and had kept it all this time . So when Aharon threw the gold into the furnace , Yanus and Yambrus came along and with their powers of Tum'a , said incantations and at that moment , Micha threw into the furnace the scroll that said " Alei Shor Alei Shor , " - " Arise Ox Arise Ox " and so , out of the Furnace emerged a living bleating golden ox . In fact , twelve other golden oxen came out too , one for each Tribe and it was the Eirev Rav , the mixed multitude , that said to our people , " These be your gods oh Israel " ( plural ) ( referring to us Jews as " your " ) . The people wanted an altar as well . Aharon knew full well that Moshe would return and so Aharon said the words , " A Festival for HaShem Tomorrow . " HaShem's Anger Understandably Came To The Fore , For While HaShem Was In The Process Of Writing The Tablets That Were Miraculous Themselves , for they read the same way on both sides and letters like the Mem and Samech that are circular , actually floated in the air within them , at that very time That HaShem Was Writing The Ten Commandments On The Tablets , the people were breaking their covenant like a marriage to HaShem , with their actions . HaShem Told Moshe to go down , for " your people ( the Eirev Rav That HaShem Had advised That Moshe should not bring along and Moshe felt sorry for them ) , " had corrupted themselves . Moshe could not believe that the people would have done this and he kept trying to defend them , But HaShem Kept Corroborating More And More , That yes they did make the Golden Calf and when Moshe said surely they would not pray to it , HaShem Again Corroborated That yes they did . Moshe said surely they would not Sacrifice to it And Again HaShem Said that they did . It Was Then That HaShem Allowed Moshe to fulfil one of his Spiritual reasons for being there at that time , For HaShem Said To Moshe , " Desist from Me , Let my anger flare up against them And I Shall Annihilate them And I Shall Make you into a great nation . " This was a cue to Moshe that if Moshe does not leave HaShem , but rather defends the people , Then HaShem Would Not Destroy them . Moshe cared nothing for himself and the offer to make from him a great nation . Our Rabbis believe Moshe may have been the original Noach , who went into the Ark and did not ask for the people to be saved and so , when Moshe said the words to HaShem , " Why HaShem , should Your Anger flare up against Your people , " ( and when Moshe continued through the years to defend us ) , at that moment , Moshe rectified the time when possibly as Noach ( an opinion from our holy Rabbonim ), he should have done this very action of asking for the people of Noach's day to be saved . Moshe Pleads and Prays for us and only when bringing up the Fore-Fathers , does Moshe attain for us A Relent From HaShem . For Moshe said that there must be at least ten holy people then And So HaShem Counted Moshe and his brother Aharon and five others - Elazar Isamar , Pinchas , Yehoshua and Kaleiv ( trying the same track that Avraham tried for ten people necessary to save the people and Moshe tells HaShem , that at least with the seven , HaShem Can add Himself and if not , to add to the seven , HaShem can " then add Avraham , Yitzchak and Yaakov . HaShem Accepted this ( Midrash Shemos - Rabbi Weissman ) . Moshe descended and met Yehoshuah , who was faithfully all this time , waiting for Moshe at the bottom of the Mountain and for whom HaShem Had let fall for Yehoshuah Mannah every day near him . Yehoshuah thought it was the sound of war but Moshe spoke of a sound of " Anot " - " Distress " but also a sound of " Anah " - " Answering HaShem's Goodness , " with unfaithfulness and thus causing Beloved HaShem Distress . When Moshe saw what was happening , he himself became angry and he saw The Letters On The Luchos Leaving The Tablets And Rising Up To Heaven . Moshe reasoned that if the people would get The Tablets , they would be more bound by them as an unfaithful wife would be , if she was under the marriage contract Kesubah and so , even though all 70 elders rushed to Moshe to try and wrestle The Tablets from his hands , he overpowered them all and smashed The Tablets without The Script , at the foot of the Mountain . The Calf he burnt in fire and ground it to a fine powder and sprinkled it over the water and just as a Sotah takes the test of unfaithfulness in having her drink the Waters of the Sotah , so did he make the Children of Israel drink and their punishment was according to if they had worshipped the calf or not . Moshe questioned Aharon , who answered that the gold was thrown into the furnace and the calf just emerged . Aharon had exposed the bad ones who did harbour a want to idol worship , to disgrace . Moshe had them choose on which side they were , if they were on The Eternal's Side . The Levites who , like the women had not taken part , gathered around Moshe and Moshe instructed that the Eirev Rav be slain. All 3000 Eirev Rav were killed . HaShem Sent a Plague That Dealt With those involved in the worshipping of the Golden Calf . All 3000 Eirev Rav died that day and those who internally worshipped the Calf . This sad event took place on the 17th of Tammuz , now a Fast Day . Once the item of the sin had been destroyed , Moshe could return To HaShem To again beg for his people . Moshe again was up on the Mountain for another forty days till the 29th of Av begging for the people's forgiveness , When HaShem Had Forgiven the people And Agreed To Give them The Second Tablets . It was on Rosh Chodesh Elul , that Moshe went up a Third Time for forty days neither eating nor drinking and returned on the Tenth of Tishrei Yom Kippur , When HaShem Had Forgiven the people In Closeness again . Thus is the day of Yom Kippur , one of Atonement and Forgiveness . Thank You HaShem Always For Your Beloved Mercy And Caring . Thank you Moshe for speaking up for us all . Thank You HaShem For Forgiving us To The Point That You Did . Moshe felt That HaShem Had Been Angry At the people And Turned Aside , so Moshe too put his tent 2000 Amos away from the Camp , the Techum Shabbos , the limit one may walk outside on Shabbos from the city limit . Whenever Moshe would come out of his tent , the people would rise and remain standing till he went back in . The people really showed their feelings of needing forgiveness . Moshe pleaded For HaShem's Nearness And HaShem Shielded Moshe Within a Rock Within a Cave and that was still not strong enough to shield The Back Of HaShem , As HaShem Showed Moshe The Back Of His Essence . It was from Sapphire , that miraculously appeared under his Tent , thus making Moshe quite wealthy , as a reward for his faithfulness and also for his actions of caring only to find Yosef's coffin , while the rest of the people were removing the things from Egypt , that Moshe carved The Second Luchos . It was on Moshe's Visit to the Top of the Mountain , That HaShem Taught Moshe The Attributes of Mercy , to say in order To Get HaShem's Forgiveness . This Really Shows How HaShem Will Do So Much To Give us the opportunity to be Forgiven By Him . And so , did Moshe Pray these Thirteen Attributes to gain Forgiveness for us From HaShem . HaShem Did Not Want To Go Ahead Of the people and Wanted To Send His Angel instead , but Moshe persuaded HaShem To Go Himself In Leading the people . And it was only in the time of Yehoshuah , That HaShem Sent His Angel before us . HaShem Then Instructed On not to let the other nations in the land of Israel be a snare for us and not to allow any form of idol worship in Israel , not to let their daughters be with our sons , so that our sons would not stray from Holy Judaism . HaShem Instructed us Not to make idols . HaShem Instructs On The Festival of Matzos , on the first borns , on The Shabbos , on The Festival of Weeks and on The Festival of the Harvest ( Pesach , Shavuos and Succos ) and on Kashrus , " not to cook a kid in its mother's milk " ( mentioned three times in Torah , for the three injunctions of Kashrus of milk and meat - not to cook them together , not to eat them together and not to benefit from mixing them together ) . The Second Tablets , Moshe Inscribed and when Moshe came down the Mountain , his face had become radiant When HaShem Had Spoken To him and so Moshe had to wear a mask on his face to the Children of Israel during periods when Moshe was not teaching the people Torah , for Moshe took off the mask during periods when he taught the people Torah and put it back on when he finished each period of teaching . So ends the Parsha . The words " Ki Tissa " literally means " To Lift the head . " This is true holiness , for in being counted , it really means being A Part Of HaShem and thus lifting oneself Up To Holiness . That is one of the reasons why we are here . When we act as the people did , with the Chait Ha Eigel , we lower ourselves From HaShem . But when we lift ourselves up to Holiness And To Each Commandment That HaShem Gives us , we lift ourselves up In Holiness and Closeness With HaShem , to be counted , As One With HaShem . We are not here to have physical meaningless lives . We are all here for a greater purpose and future , of total Holy Meaning . We are here To Return To HaShem , not just when it is our time to leave this Earth , but while we are here on this Earth . When we become this holy light , we will not have to die . We will be eternal as was The Plan Of HaShem And HaShem's Wish From The Beginning . Being Counted , means counting oneself as one of the Obedient and Holy Of HaShem . That Is The True Meaning of Life . That is what brings radiance to us . That is what makes The Light Of HaShem Enter Within our souls and then radiate outwards . That is our meaning and pathway in life . Just as Moshe was up on the mountain three times 40 days to make a total of 120 , which is the same number of years of people mentioned in Sefer Bereishis and was the exact years of Moshe when he lived then , so will we extend these years to eternal living , if we only Obey HaShem and be within the counted ones Close To HaShem In Obedience And Love . This set of 120 years , is the limit our own actions put on us . This will go away , when we " Ki Sissa " allow ourselves to be totally At One With HaShem , one of His Holy Ones , changing the whole of the present existence , to the one Intended By HaShem , at the Beginning of Creation , the one that is True Eternal Life , Within HaShem . The word " Tissa " is also the same spelling as the number ' Teisha " - " Nine " so " Ki " - " when we go beyond that " Nine , " to the final Ten , we can complete Creation and return to Gan Eiden . HaShem Awaits us . HaShem Has Waited For us For So Very Long . It is time for us to return in true and total Holiness and be once and for all " Ki Tissa " may we be counted as what we were Created to be , Radiant Lights Of HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu - HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Beloved Eternal HaShem With Total And Ever Abiding Sweetest Love , A Very Special And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With Eternal Love and to all my fellow Jews and all of Creation , a Very Special and Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love .

The Shabbos Sedra is Parashas Tetzaveh . Seeing as this year we have two months of Adar and in this case we always then celebrate Purim on the second month of Adar which is called Adar II and seeing that this Shabbos comes out on Adar I on the 15th of Adar I , which is usually Shushan Purim if it is a year with one month of Adar , seeing as this is a year with two months of Adar , this Shabbos day is also Shushan Purim Katan , the Adar month that is a month away from Shushan Purim that we celebrate on Adar II . HaShem Helped us Defeat Amalek in Shushan . In the other areas of Persia , the fighting against us That HaShem Helped us win , took place on the 13th of Adar and we had rest from our enemies on the 14th of Adar , but in Shushan , where the greater amount of antisemitic enemies of ours in Persia stayed , who tried to overcome us , needed an extra day's fighting against them on the 13th and 14th of Adar and we had rest from our enemies on the 15th of Adar , which was then called Shushan Purim . The Haftorah for the Parshah of Tetzaveh is Yechezkiel 43 : 10 - 27 which , like the Parsha , also speaks of the Altar and Kohanim . In our last Parsha , the construction of The Mishkan was Commanded and now that there would be a place for the Kohanim - Priests to do their Service , this Parsha of Tetzaveh focuses on the Kohein Gadol and other Kohanim and their Garments . HaShem Commands That pure pressed olive oil be taken for illumination of the Menorah , to kindle the lamp continually . All the other Tribes had already offered toward the Mishkan , but Aharon from the Tribe of Levi , was not to contribute in the way the other Tribes did . The reason being , That HaShem Had A Special Task For Aharon to perform and that would be the kindling of the lamp continually . Moshe was originally to have been the Kohein Gadol , but due to his continued humble disagreeing of HaShem's Choice of him at the Burning Bush , Aharon was then given this position of Kohein Gadol . Aharon was three years older than Moshe and had basically been the leader of the Jews in Egypt , after his Father Amram , but when Moshe came , Aharon happily accepted Moshe's leadership and now Moshe too , happily accepted Aharon as the Kohein Gadol . HaShem Made The " Tetzaveh " - " Command " that Aharon and his sons were to arrange the lamps from evening to morning , Before HaShem , as an Eternal Decree for their generations and the Western Lamp on the Menorah was to be kept burning always . The Western Lamp , the Neir Ma'aravi ( Ramban ) ( which was the second light from the Eastern side , or as some Rabbis believe , was the central one ) was to be left burning always . Only pure Olive Oil was to be used for the lighting . This meant that only that very first drop of oil , squeezed from the olive could be used , as it was only this one that would be pure without any sediment . The rest of the oil squeezed from the olive , could not be used for this kindling . We learn from this a very valid and valuable lesson , that our first and fore-most giving of ourselves , Must Always Be To HaShem . This first squeezing had to be done by hand , for only by hand on a first squeezing , could one be totally sure that absolutely no sediment would be in the oil . This teaches us that it must be our own efforts that get us to Shamayim and that it is by our own turning away from the Yetzer Horah And Following Only HaShem's Laws , by our own efforts and choice , that gets us To Shamayim . This Oil had to be pure just as we are to be pure and only with this pure oil drop , one per olive , would the light burn a pure colour , just as we must be pure and just like the light within our Neshomas must burn pure and holy and without anything unholy like the sediment that was not to be there from the Olive Oil's next squeezing that could not be used , as we are To Be Pure And Holy To The Oneness Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . Just as this first drop of Pure Olive Oil is the purest and gives the purest light , so must the light we give off be pure too , By Keeping HaShem's Commandments With Love . HaShem Asked Moshe To Bring Near To himself , Aharon his brother and his sons Nadav , Avihu , Elazar and Ithamar , To Minister To HaShem . HaShem Tells Moshe in this way that he must bring Aharon ' near to himself , ' so that Moshe would still feel that he , Moshe , is still on a higher level , just in case he , Moshe , may have felt sad at not being the Kohein Gadol ( which holy Moshe never ended up feeling , Even Though HaShem just in case , Prepared For that possibility , By This Command ) , as was originally the idea , So HaShem Takes Into Account , our feelings and so should we when we speak to others . So are we To Emulate HaShem And His Ways , in all things . Aharon and the specific sons of Aharon only are mentioned , for it is only from these , that the Kohanim come , thus including any children that might be born to them . But any already living grand-children then , would not be included as Kohanim , but would remain Levites . Pinchas , Elazar's son , was later Appointed Directly From HaShem . HaShem Commanded That Vestments of Sanctity be made for Aharon , " for glory and splendour . " It states ' specifically ' to show that for every new Kohein Gadol , new vestments had to be made . It was " for glory and splendour " which are terms usually referred to a king , for the Kohein Gadol had to look royal and majestic , shining pure for his people . This shows us that the way we behave , is the best teacher of morals to others . The story is told of a person who wanted to convert and he went to Shammai and told Shammai he wants to convert just because he wants to wear the majestic garments of the Kohein Gadol and Shammai chased him away with a yardstick , for one is supposed to have a pure motive in converting to Judaism . The man then went to Hillel , who decided to teach him the Hebrew Alphabet and then slowly to read a bit of Torah and referred to the verse that states in Torah that any non-Kohein who wears the holy vestments , will be put to death . The man realized that not only a convert , but even a born Jew who isn't a Kohein Gadol , cannot wear the vestments and thus realized that it is beautiful enough to be a Jew and so he became a convert . These vestments were to be " of glory and splendour , " to display the high position of purity , that is the station of the Kohein Gadol In Ministering To HaShem . HaShem Instructed the following garments to be made for the Kohein Gadol . An Ephod was to be made of gold , turquoise , purple and scarlet wool and twisted linen with a woven design . It was like a wrap around for the top area , with two shoulder straps and on these two straps were to be put two Shoham Stones and on these stones , were to be engraved , the Twelve Tribes of Israel , six on each , in the order of their birth . These stones were to be emplaced on the two shoulder straps of the Ephod as "remembrance stones " for the Children of Israel . Remembrance stones of what , one would ask . There were two stones , so they were like a representation of the Two Stones of the Ten Commandments ( Yalkut MeAm Loez ) and thus as we all said at Har Sinai , " Na'aseh Ve Nishmah , " - " We will do and we will listen , " agreeing to keep The Torah at Har Sinai , so were these two stones a reminder and remembrance of that Holy Event and our Pledge To HaShem . Also , I think we are always to remember Moshe and so " Shoham " Stones were used , for The Hebrew word " Shoham " has the letters " Shin , Hei and Mem " and these letters ( Yalkut MeAm Loez ) make up also the word " Moshe . " Each garment of the Kohein Gadol represented an atonement for some sin that a person could commit . Of course there were deeper reasons that are beyond our understanding For All That HaShem Instructed To Be Made . The Ephod , according to Yalkut MeAm Loez and Midrash , atoned for the sin of idolatry . For Idolaters would wear a chest garment while performing their cults , so the Kohein Gadol , wearing a garment with straps , would atone for this sin . HaShem Instructed that The Choshen Mishpat , The Breastplate Of Judgement , Be Made , onto which the twelve precious stones would go , each one representing a specific Tribe , for specific reasons . The stones on there were : - for Reuvein , the Stone Odem , which was a Ruby , which when ground would help barrenness, just like the mandrakes that Reuvein brought for his Mother , in Bereishis - Genesis . For Simeon , was the stone Pitdah - Emerald , which protects against sexual immorality , for it was Zimri from this Tribe , that committed the Aveirah , later on in Torah , with the Midianitess . For the Tribe of Levi , was the Stone Barekes - Crystal , where the word ' Barak ' means ' Lightning ' like lightning sparks Of Holy Learning And wisdom And Holy Intelligence , which this stone would help increase , just like the Levites who were the Teachers of Israel at the time - Devarim Deuteronomy 33:10 . For the Tribe of Yehudah , was the stone Nophech - Carbuncle , which gave assistance to defeat enemies . For the Tribe of Yissaschar , the stone Sapir - Saphire , being the colour of the blue sky and the heavens , for this stone protected the sanctity of the eyes and body and helped keep peace , like The Holy Torah , for this Tribe was filled with its Torah Scholars , while the Tribe of Zevulun worked to support it , thus both got the shared Kavod of each other . The Tribe of Zevulun , had the Stone Yahalom - Pearl ( some think it was a diamond ) , which brought success in business , for Zevulun lived by the sea shores and dealt in trade . For the Tribe of Dan , was the Stone Leshem - Topaz , which had the upside down face of a man within it , for from this Tribe would come the Judge Shimshon and the upside down face of a man , was to represent that a Judge must not look up at the litigants in front of him at their wealth or poverty , but must treat them equally , without prior seeing and judgement , just like an upside down face that does not look at the people directly and tries to hide itself from judging by the physical . Also , within the name of this stone is the word " La Shem " - " To HaShem , " for their strength must always be For The Sake Of HaShem , To HaShem . Their deeds are also to be " Lasheim HaShamayim " - " For the sake of Heaven . " For the Tribe of Naphtali , the Stone Shevo - Turquoise , which helps with speed , especially riding , for this Tribe is known for its speed which Naphtali had to show , when he needed to hastily run back to Egypt to bring the title deed of the Cave of Machpelah , when they were laying Yaakov to rest and Eisav came and disputed it . For the Tribe of Gad , the stone Ach'lamah - Calf Eye ( some say a Crystal ) , which gives courage and dispels fear and worry and anxiety during war , for Gad would go out to war , In Total Trust Of HaShem , having no fear and destroying those who worshiped idols . For the Tribe of Asher , the Stone Tarshish , which was like perfectly clear oil and thus related to the olive trees and their oil , that was this Tribe's Blessing - Bereishis Genesis 49 : 20 . For Yosef , the Stone Shoham - Onyx ( some say Emerald ) , for it causes its bearer to be liked by all around them , which was certainly suitable to how others around Yosef liked him . The Stone for the Tribe of Binyamin , Yashfeh - Jasper , for this stone had the ability to stop bleeding , which is exactly what Binyamin did , by not exposing his brothers to what they did to Yosef , which would have caused bloodshed . The word " Yashfeh " also can be separated into the Hebrew words " Yesh , " and " Peh " which means " there is a mouth " but keep silent and don't do Loshon Horah , as Binyamin kept silent and did not Loshon his brothers ( Yalkut MeAmLoez ) . On the Choshen Mishpat - Breatplate Of Judgement , were four rows of three stones , to remember our Three Fore-Fathers and Four Fore- Mothers . The Breastplate was to be made in such a way that it would actually be folded over in half and worn on the chest area , close to the heart , Where HaShem Likes To Sit . Within this fold , would be placed the Urim Ve Tumim and this would sit on Aharon's heart when he came Before HaShem and it was for Aharon , to wear the Judgement of the Children of Israel constantly Before HaShem . But what was the Urim And - Ve the Tumim . If we read closely , this particular Holy Object , no one was told to make , as if it was just Presented From HaShem and that is exactly what was the case , for the " Urim " which has the word " Ohr " - " Light " and " Tumim " which has the word " Tam " which means " Completeness " referred to Something that was filled with Lightness and Connected to the Ultimate Completeness and thus the Urim and the Tumim Was HaShem's Name Of The Tetragrammaton , The Full Name Of HaShem , That HaShem Used , To Make Certain things and so did Moshe write This Name And It Was Put Between The Folds Of The Choshen Mishpat . This could only be used to question , by a King , the Nation or by one who asked for the sake of the community . A person would ask the question and the letters of the Names of the Tribes , inscribed by the Shamir worm , would light up in different patterns to give an answer . The Breastplate Choshen , atoned for the sin of the miscarriage of Justice , for it was related to Judging and Answering . Such a sin , can break a community , so the honesty and integrity of an honest Torah Judge , can make a community . The Me'iI - Robe , was to be totally of turquoise wool . It was to cover the length of the body of the Kohein Gadol , with an opening at the top for the head to fit through and an opening at the bottom , but a full closed garment was it to be all around. At it's bottom , was to be 72 pomegranates alternating with 72 bells , referring to the 72 shades of white that would show up as a metzorah for the sin of Loshon Horah and so the Robe , was an atonement for the sin of Loshon Horah - Evil Speech . The bells make a sound , just as the voice does , but they are put on the bottom of the Robe , just as one's speech must be humble and low and not brash or arrogant and not slanderous . The Pomegranates have their seeds within and is known to have 613 seeds , just as the 613 Mitzvos that we Jews are to keep . The seeds being within , are thus hidden from view , just as our speech should be hidden from view , like quietude , in the way of not talking about others . Thus the Robe did Atone for Loshon Horah .The bells would tinkle when the Kohein Gadol entered and exited The Holy Of Holies . Within The Holy Of Holies , sometimes Malachim Angels would be there and their holy presence could very well take the life of the one entering . So at the sound of these bells on the bottom of the Me'iI , they were to leave The Holy Of Holies , so that the Kohein Gadol could enter safely and not get hurt . Then HaShem Commanded That The Tzitz Head-Plate Be Made of pure gold and on it was to be engraved " Kodesh La A-d-nai " - " Holy To HaShem . " It was for the atonement for forgiveness of sins and for sacred offerings and also atoned for the sin of Azus Panim - Sin of Arrogance . In Pirkei Avos it says , " The Arrogant will go to Gehinnom while the bashful will go to Gan Eiden " Avos 5:23 . We Must Be Forever Humble Before HaShem . HaShem Then Commanded On The Making Of The Ketones - Tunic of linen in a box-like knit . The Tunic atoned for murder where there were no witnesses , just like we remember the Tunic of Yosef that was dipped in blood . The Michnasayim - Pants were to be made and they atoned for the sin of sexual immorality . A Linen Turban Mitznefes was to be made and wound around the head of the Kohein Gadol . This atoned for the sin of pride . Again humility being The Path To Heaven And Closeness With HaShem . For the Kohein Gadol , The Turban was more pointed and for an ordinary Kohein - A Kohein Hedyot , The Turban was rounded . A Sash - Belt - Avneit was to be made , which atoned for evil thoughts . The Belt was 32 amos long and wound around the Ketones . The number 32 is also the same Gematrical value as the word ' Lev ' - ' Heart ' and thus did this Belt Sash Avneit atone for sins of the heart . ( Midrash Says - Shemos by Rabbi Weissman ) . Not as many " Bigdei " - " Garments - Vestments " were to be made for ordinary Kohanim Hedyot , for the Kohein Hedyot , four vestments were to be made , but for the Kohein Gadol , eight vestments were to be made , specially for the Kohein Gadol . HaShem Then Commanded About The Seven Day Inauguration Ritual For Aharon and his sons to be inaugurated into the Priesthood And The Holy Torah Continues With The offerings Made For This Period And Also The Tamid offering . The Parsha ends With The Commandments About The Incense Altar and how It was to have its incense offered every morning and evening and this was also to stay any plague that could come upon us When HaShem Was Upset with us . So ends The Parsha . HaShem Wants from us A Great Holiness And Purity . With Love , By Following HaShem's Commandments , we can give HaShem What HaShem Wants . As Aharon had to continually light the Menorah and thus let us Be A Part Of The Holiness Of HaShem That Goes Out To the World , so can we Continually Work For HaShem , In Being For HaShem , A Vessel , From Which HaShem's Light Can Flow . But we need To Be Pure And Holy first . Every Mitzvah that we Do , every Mitzvah that we Keep , Brings us Ever Closer To HaShem . Ever Closer To HaShem's Wish For HaShem's Creation . We are HaShem's Servants , To Bring the rest of the World To HaShem's Light . Every day , evening and morning are we , within ourselves , to kindle HaShem's Light Within us all , To Shine Out Into Creation . Each time we do not do A Commandment , we dampen and darken the World . The more people that disobey , the darker the world becomes . If we look around us today , we feel the darkness that we make , by not following HaShem Whole-heartedly . We can feel HaShem's Displeasure With us . We need to stop following false ways . We need to stop following man made paths . We need to stop making up our own rules and we need to stop following our own wishes and paths that won't lead anywhere . We have A Guide Of Life , That Always Shines Through And Lights The World Around us And That Will Dispel all this darkness that not keeping The Commandments brings , Chas Ve Shalom . For HaShem's " Tetzaveh " - " Commands , " Are HaShem's Pathway For us , To The Eternal Light Of Shamayim . That Light Is The Light Of HaShem's Holy Sweet And Beautiful Torah - The Everlasting Light That Carries us To HaShem , That Contains HaShem's " Tetzaveh , " - " Commands . " Let us all grasp hold of it and make ourselves vessels For HaShem's Holy Light To Light Up Creation and destroy the Amaleks of the generations and finally Bring HaShem's Creation To it's Intended Destination , when the whole World Will Be Full Of HaShem's Holy Light and with our accomplished Purity and Holiness , will we finally Be True Vessels For HaShem's Light , By keeping HaShem's " Tetzaveh " - " Commands " and thus Will we Be Servants Of HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu - HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . Within the word " Tetzaveh , " is the word ' Tzavah , ' which means to ' Assemble . ' Just as we assembled as one at Har Sinai , to receive the " Tetzaveh , " - " Commands " and as we Jews all said with one voice , " Na ' aseh Ve Nishma , " - " We will do and we will listen , " so to bring Moshiach , our people must all come together as one , Following HaShem's Holy Torah . Just as The Commands that we must follow , are the stage before Moshiach , that brings Moshiach , so does the word " Tetzaveh , " that comes to 501 in Gematriah , where 5 + 0 + 1 = 6 , where 6 comes before 7 ( where keeping The Commands Of HaShem is the stage before Moshiach , that brings Moshiach ) where the word " Moshiach " in Gematriah , comes to 7 , so too , does " Tetzaveh " - Keeping HaShem's " Commands , " bring Moshiach . HaShem , Since The Beginning , Has Wanted our Closeness and Togetherness and Obedience To HaShem . So let us give HaShem What HaShem So Deserves and Follow HaShem's Laws , Which HaShem Gave For our benefit . Our Shabbos Sedra this Shabbos is Parashas Terumah and this Sedra teaches of the beautiful making of The Mishkan , the temporary Temple that we Jews travelled with in the Wilderness . The Haftorah for this Sedra is in 1 Kings 5 : 26 - 6 : 13 and also refers to The Temple That HaShem Instructed Shlomo HaMelech to build . The Parsha starts with a "Va" and this also shows That HaShem Gave these Instructions When HaShem Was With Moshe when Moshe had gone up to Har Sinai for forty days and forty nights , as the last Parsha Mishpatim ended with . The Children of Israel felt very sad to leave Har Sinai where they had spent close on a year there and it was there that they had experienced The Closeness Of Revelation With HaShem and did not want to leave there . HaShem Instructed on the building of The Mishkan so that we would make a special place within our Holy Camp Where HaShem's Shechinah Would Dwell Among us wherever we would go , Which Was HaShem's original Plan In Creation That HaShem Would Be Close To us All The Time . How Beautiful That would have been , had we remained in Gan Eiden . The Construction of the Mishkan with the Ark and the Table and the Menorah and the Altar and all That HaShem Asked to be built , would be like our part of Heaven Traveling with us . HaShem Would Rest With us in the Holy of Holies , Between the Keruvim Cherubim on the Holy Ark Cover And So Would HaShem Be Among His People . The people would then know That HaShem Is With us Always . HaShem Had The Holy Ark travel forward when we were to move away from Har Sinai so that we would know That HaShem Was Moving Forward and for us to remain close to Him , we would need to move forward too . And so we did . HaShem Told Moshe to speak to the Children of Israel that each should take a " Terumah " - " Portion " From every man " whose heart motivates him , you shall take My Portion . " So this request was voluntary and thus ever much more special , for we could give out of love and not because we might have to do so . Such a Giving is always more Giving and Special and truly from the Heart in which HaShem , Within each one of us , Wants To Dwell . Though we gave in abundance , if one really looks closely at how much gold and other articles were actually needed , one realizes that though we gave in abundance , HaShem Had To Have Miraculously Given To this project too ( Yalkut MeAm Loez ) and so does Torah say " you shall take My Portion , " for a lot of the amount that went into the building construction here Was Actually From HaShem Himself , For HaShem Miraculously Added To It . HaShem Instructs On the portions of materials that are to be taken for this and to make A Sanctuary for HaShem To Dwell Among us just as Moshe Was Shown On The Mountain . HaShem Instructed That The Ark be made of Acacia wood which was Shittim Wood , part of the wood that Yaakov carried with him to Egypt when he went into Egypt , in his son Yosef's lifetime . This wood was from an area that was called Shittim Waters and at that time it was known that these waters would , when people would drink them , bring people to physically debase themselves and it was near these waters that the Moabites later on managed to entice some of the people to idolatry through physical enticements ( Yalkut Me Am Loez ) . So using this particular wood would be a direct block and control against the Yetzer Horah , especially as this wood was being used for such A Holy Purpose . The Ark was to be made 2.5 cubits in length and 1.5 cubits in width and 1.5 cubits in height . If we take both sides of the length and width and add them together , we get 1.5 + 1.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 8 , the holy number into the Spiritual and if we add the height , we get 9.5 and with the cover and the Cherubim on top , it goes into the ranges of 10 just like the Holy Ten Commandments and the Ten Pronouncements By HaShem In Creating Creation . If we just take the length of both sides , it comes to 5 , which is the same as the single number in Gematriah of HaShem's Name Elokim and also Avraham's name , where the letters of Avraham's name come to 1 + 2 + 200 + 5 + 40 = 248 , which is the number of bones in the human body and also the number of Positive Commandments In The Holy Torah , showing how the Ark also deeply represented HaShem's Commandments and how we must put our bones , our physicality To HaShem's Commandments and 248 is 2 + 4 + 8 = 14 and 1 + 4 = 5 , thus the two side lengths of the Ark have very deep meanings . Each measurement has a deep reason and deep meaning for each measurement That HaShem Instructed . Everything That HaShem Does Has Very Deep Reasons . The two sides width , come to 3 , and if we take The Hebrew Word Where HaShem Is Telling Moshe " I Shall Be " EHeYeH , " The Gematriah Of This Word Comes to 21 and 2 + 1 = 3 , the very two widths of The Ark Of The Covenant . The height of the Ark was to be 1.5 cubits , where the numbers 1 + 5 = 6 , which is the last number of the Physicality , thus in reaching High To HaShem , we need to reach beyond our physicalities . The Ark was to be made with a form including three boxes basically within each other , with the outer and most inner one being of pure gold and the middle one being of wood , showing us how we must be the same deep within us as we are outside , being honest and trustworthy and truthful and how our physicality , should Shine The Light Of HaShem , in every Mitzvah Commandment Of HaShem that we obey and do . The poles were to be made of acacia wood covered with gold and they were to always be in the rings and never removed from it even when not carrying The Holy Ark , just as we are always to be Close To The Holy Torah and never remove ourselves from It . Into The Holy Ark , was to be placed The Testimonial Tablets . The Ark Cover was to be made of pure gold and on top was to be hammered out , two K'ruvim - Cherubim ( Keruvim has the root Karov , which means Close , as in Close To And Coming Close To HaShem ) , hammered out from both ends of the " Kaporet " - " Cover . " The Cherubim were to have their wings spread upward sheltering the Cover with their faces toward one another . The faces on these Cherubim , were to be of a boy and a girl and when we kept HaShem's Commandments their faces would smile and when we sadly did not they would turn away from each other . Their wings would embrace when we were especially obedient To HaShem . It was in the one cubit space between the two Cherubim , Just As HaShem Is Surrounded By Angels Above , That HaShem Would Place His Shechinah To Rest And Where HaShem Would Hold His Meetings With Moshe . The Ark would sometimes travel 2000 cubits ( equivalent to the T'chum Shabbos traveling limit which is the limit one may travel outside the town boundary on Shabbos ) ahead of the Camp of Israel so as to clear the way for our path to be safe in the Wilderness , where a giant snake and other things of danger lived . The Ark was carried with the poles along It's widths and those who carried it always faced it , thus those in front actually walked backwards , so as not to disrespect The Very Holy Shechinah and Aron , just as we in Shul should walk backwards from the Aron Keidesh till It is out of direct sight . Such a sight to the nations , Of HaShem's Mishkan And " Aron "- " Ark " in our midst showed how we are HaShem's Special People that Keep HaShem's Holy Torah And So Would HaShem Dwell Among us even now if only we would all keep HaShem's Holy Torah Laws . HaShem Instructed , Showing Moshe a picture of it , that a " Shulchan " - " Table " be built of Acacia Wood , 2 cubits its length , a cubit its width and 1.5 cubits its height . These numbers added up , had a special prophetic meaning in relation to the kings that came in Israel . All the numbers , including both sides of the length and width and the height , added up to 7.5 , where 7 + 5 = 12 and 1 + 2 = 3 , The Same As The Gematriah Of HaShem's Name " EHeYeH , " as explained earlier . It was to be covered with pure gold and a gold crown to be made all around it . This signified the Crown of Kingship . Also it was to have four rings and four carrying staves . The four rings , representing the four directions in Creation . Also its utensils were to be made . Always on the Shulchan was the Show-bread to be put Before HaShem Always . So must our Neshoma Always Be Close To HaShem and constantly reach upwards To Higher And Holier Paths Toward HaShem . This Shulchan Brought From HaShem , Blessings Of Abundance Of Food To the World From HaShem , for just as we leave the Hamotzi on the Table on Shabbos when we Bensch so as to allow us to be Blessed for more sustenance From HaShem , so was the Lechem Panim left from week to week , So That HaShem Would Bring Forth From what is already there That HaShem Created , for since Creation , HaShem Who Made all things at the beginning of Creation till the end at the time of Creation's Creation , HaShem Does Not Need To Ever Create out of nothing , For HaShem Made all things that Creation would need , back then . Every Erev Shabbos , was the Lechem Panim to be replaced and the bread for the previous week remained ever fresh . The Menorah was to be made of pure gold all of a single piece of hammered out gold . Moshe had to request Of HaShem To Show him how it was to be done with all its cups , knobs and blossoms all of a single hammered out piece of gold And HaShem Showed Moshe one of fire , on the Mountain . Every part of the Menorah had its deeper reason and the Menorah stood as the contribution of the light we give to the World , when we keep HaShem's Commandments . All parts of the Menorah were to be from a single hammered out piece of gold , just as we as Jews , must come together as one nation , Under HaShem And His Mitzvos , in peace and thus bring Moshiach , us being One With HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . The seven lamps were like the seven days in Creation , the seven days of the week and Kabbalistically , the seven worlds of Planets mentioned for special reasons , the sevens in the Sabbatical year , the sevens on the counting of the Omer and the sevens , in The Holy Number where the Seventh Day is Holy Shabbos Kodesh . The Torah Of HaShem Then Describes In Detail , The construction of the " Mishkan " - " Tabernacle " with each measurement size , having a special meaning of Great and Holy depth . Each plank fitted with its adjacent plank in a partnership of peace , just like a husband and wife become one in peace and love . Each plank was ten cubits in length , Like The Ten Pronouncements Of HaShem's Creation And The Ten Commandments . A " Paroches " - " Partition , " was to be made to separate the part that was to be " Kodesh Ha Kodashim " - " Holy of Holies , " within which , would the Aron Ark Of The Testimonial Tablets be put and a " Masach " - " Screen " was to be made as an entrance of the Tent . HaShem Instructed That A " Mizbeach " - " Altar " be made of Acacia Wood , five cubits its length , five cubits its width square and three cubits its height . This would total all round 23 , and when taking into account that the physical height is 3 cubits in the physical world and thus the spiritual version above of this Mizbeach also has a 3 cubit height , we get a total , when the time will come for the Physical and Spiritual to become one , of 26 , Which Is The Exact Gematrical Value Of HaShem's Tetragrammaton Name ' Yud Kei Vav Kei . " The width size and length size in cubits of a side , add up to ten , which again represents The Ten Commandments And The Ten Pronouncements That HaShem Made , In Creating Creation . There were to be four horns on the Mizbeach , just like the Four directions on Earth and so was each part made for the Mishkan , to be put in a specific place and direction , depending on what that direction signified and what comes from that direction , Spiritually . It was all to be covered with copper and all its utensils were to be of copper . A Netting Meshwork was to be made , which Miraculously never burnt or melted . Staves too were to be made for it . The word " Copper " in Hebrew is " Nechoshes , " which interestingly has within it the Hebrew word " Nachash " - " Snake " just like Samael that used the Snake to bring Sin into the World and as we know , The Mizbayach was also there for the Korbanos of Sins , thus it directly contradicted the actions of Sin and Samael , who works the Yetzer Horah that pulls us to Sin . The " Mizbayach " - " Altar " represented the Crown of Kehunah Priesthood and so , as we are taught in Pirkei Avos , the Aron , Shulchan and Mizbayach , represented The Three Crowns in Judaism , being The Crown of Torah , the Crown of Priesthood and The Crown of Kingship . The " Mizbayach " had deeper meanings for if we take each letter of the word " Mizbayach " , being a Mem , Zayin , Beis and Ches , these letters can spell " Mechilah " - " Forgiveness ; " Zechus " - " Purity " ( Shimon Zilberman Dictionary ) ; " Brochas " - " Blessings " and " Chayim " - " Life , " all of which the " Mizbayach " could help us attain With HaShem's Making . HaShem Then Instructed On The " Chatzar " - " Courtyard " Of The Mishkan , with all Its lace hangings and being within It was like being in Heaven with its Blue Sky Curtains . The Lace Hangings were to be 100 Cubits , just like the One Hundred Brochas we are supposed to say every day , instituted by Dovid Hamelech , which he learned , in order to stay the plague that was ravishing in those days , which knowledge we get also by the Gematriah of these words referring to Blessing HaShem every day , as written in The Torah . The Parsha ends with The Instructions From HaShem , Of The makings of the " Chatzer " - " Courtyard . " So ends The Parsha . The Depth of This Holy Parsha Is So Beyond our own knowing and understanding . Every Part That HaShem Instructed to be made had it's deeper reason for being needed . Whether a large of small part , each , like us , have their part to play in Creation . Each and every one of us , as a part of HaShem's Creation is an equal and important part of Creation and thus needed to complete Creation . Never must we think of ourselves as totally insignificant . The Very Fact That HaShem Created us , means that the part we contribute to Creation is necessary in the scheme of Creation as a whole . No part is more important than any other part and we must each very humbly , learn to work with others around us to help complete Creation As HaShem Intended . In This Sedra , HaShem Wants each one of us to contribute a " Terumah " - " Portion " To HaShem , for the good of us , for our sakes . HaShem Gives us So Much and we give HaShem so little in return . That which we give HaShem , All Belongs To HaShem . But what we can Give HaShem , is our Free Choice Of Love And Service To HaShem , To Do His Will . It should be our own hearts and thus our own free choice that should motivate this . Then it is truly from us . So Says HaShem , " Ve ' Asu Li Mikdash Ve Shachanti B' Tocham " - " They shall make a Sanctuary for Me so that I May Dwell Among them . " HaShem Asks us to Make A Sanctuary For Him , That He May Dwell Among us . So HaShem Asks us to make this For Him , Which Shows That HaShem So Desires To Dwell With us In Closeness And Love . HaShem Wants our closeness . It is not as the nations think , that an intermediary is needed In Order To Come Close To HaShem And to come close to HaShem's Love . HaShem Wants So Deeply To Come Directly To us , Close To us all , for we are all His Children , all of Creation . To put an intermediary Between HaShem And us is exactly the opposite Of What HaShem Tells us to do Or Wants From us . HaShem Wants us each to approach Him Directly and for each of us to have A Close Relationship With HaShem Directly . We are all , in this World and in Creation , HaShem's equal children and so we can all Approach HaShem Directly , in prayer and at all times in purity . This Is What HaShem Wants . HaShem Is Close To us all . We need to only and directly Be Close To Him And speak With HaShem Directly . None of us are on such a low level that we need to go to HaShem through something else , Chas Ve Shalom . As HaShem Says In Tehillim Psalms , " The L-RD Is Close To All Who Call upon Him , to all who call upon Him in Truth . " In This Sedra , When HaShem Asks us to make a Sanctuary For Him So That He Can Dwell Among us , That Is Exactly What HaShem Wants . Looking deeper , When HaShem Asks us to make Him a Sanctuary , HaShem Is Also Asking us literally to Keep HaShem as our Sanctuary , To Be With Him All The Time , letting ourselves from deep within the heart , Follow Him And So Will HaShem Surround us And Keep us Forever Close To Him . Deep within these words is the true secret To What HaShem Deeply Desires , for if we look closer at these words , it says also , " Ve' Asu Li Mikdash Ve Shachanti B' Tocham , " - " Make within me ( within you and within me and within us all ) a Sanctuary , So That I HaShem Can Dwell Among us ( His Creation ) and Within us all . " So HaShem Wants us to make our very selves into a Sanctuary place , So That HaShem Can Dwell Within each and every one of us , Within our very loving hearts . This Is A Sanctuary That Would Always Be With us , For It Is within us And So HaShem Dwelling In our own personal Sanctuary Within ourselves , Is Exactly What HaShem Deeply Wants , Which Is To Always Be With us All The Time , In Closeness , wherever we are and wherever we go , Within our hearts In Love . By doing this , we will be making , from within our very hearts , ourselves being as a " Terumah " - the " Portion " we can contribute To HaShem , for there is no better " Terumah " - " Portion " That HaShem Lovingly Would Want More , than that we can give HaShem , with our full heart and soul , as to give HaShem our very selves as that " Terumah " - " Portion , " every day , every moment and every loving instant of life That HaShem Gives us . For every instant of our Life , Given By HaShem , should be Given To HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . The very word " Terumah " - " Portion " in Gematriah comes to 400 + 200 + 6 + 40 + 5 = 651 and 6 + 5 + 1 = 12 and 1+2 = 3 , which is the number Gematrically of , as I mentioned earlier , HaShem's Name As Told To Moshe " EHeYeH , " - " I Shall Be , " thus within the very word Terumah , Is HaShem's Name , for to complete Creation and bring It back to Gan Eiden , To Be At One With HaShem , we are to give HaShem , our very selves , In Obedience To HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah And HaShem's Holy Commandments , In Oneness With HaShem , as the " Terumah " The " Portion " To HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Eternally Beloved HaShem With So Much Deep And Eternal Forever Love , A Very Loving Beautiful And Special Shabbos Kodesh With Ever Deepest Love And HaShem's Closeness With His Creation and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Most Special and Close With HaShem , Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with Love .

Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Mishpatim and also Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Adar I . The Torah reading is Mishpatim Shemos Exodus 21 : 1 - 24 : 18 . We also read as the Maftir from a second Torah Scroll for Shabbos Rosh Chodesh in Bamidbar Numbers 28 : 9 - 15 and the Haftorah is the Haftorah for Shabbos Rosh Chodesh which is in Isaiah 66 : 1 - 24 . In the previous Parsha , we read of The Ten Commandments and here , we continue with HaShem's Laws between a person and their fellow . The Parsha starts out with a " Ve " - " And " to teach us that these Laws and Ordinances in Mishpatim were also given at Har Sinai . The first Law Ordinance is to do with the Jewish bondsman and is mentioned first , Seeing As HaShem Just Freed us From Egypt where we were slaves and so we must learn how we are to treat those who work for us . We must always remember That It Is Only HaShem That we are To Serve and thus when the time comes for the bondman to go free , they are to be freed liberally and the bondsman should go free , for they should remember That It Is Only To HaShem That they should Serve . All human beings are equal and no person should be arrogant about himself . HaShem Only Is Above us all . Should they not wish to go free , then a process is performed to them by bringing them to a door and piercing their ear ( the very ear that heard HaShem Free them from Egypt that they should want to be free and be only a servant Of HaShem ) with an awl and then this person must go free in the Yovel Year ( Jubilee Fiftieth year ) . Torah here goes into detail about how the Jewish bondsman is to work for six years and go free in the seventh year and what of the wife and children he comes with and also how The Law differs if it is a woman who is a Canaanite that the master gave to him . The Torah goes into the Laws of a man who gives his daughter as a bonds-woman and how she should be looked after and even to the point of looking after her as a wife if it comes to that . Torah then speaks of The Laws That Judge murder , whether it be intentional or unintentional and The Holy Torah Gives the different examples of different kinds of Aveiras warranting the death penalty , like one who kills intentionally with guile ( even to the point of if the one judged to die is holding onto the Altar - they are still to be given death as we saw with Shlomo Ha Melech when he sent Benayahu to slay Yoav , who was holding onto the horns of the Altar ) . Also a Judgement of death is given to the one who strikes his Father or Mother , Chas Ve Shalom , one who kidnaps a man and sells him and the kidnapped person was found in the kidnappers power , one who curses his Father or Mother , Chas Ve Shalom , all these are sentenced to death by the Sanhedrin . Unintentional murderers are sent to an " Ir Miklat " - " City of Refuge " and are to only be freed , on the sad passing of the Kohein Gadol . But one who strikes his fellow and does not die within a certain period - our Rabbonim talk of twenty four hours , but happens to die after that , the one who struck is absolved from the death of the one struck . Civil Laws also govern lost work time and medical healing costs to victims of those who were hurt by others . Also the Laws of a slave being struck and damages are mentioned . Also in this Sedra , The Holy Torah Speaks also of men who fight and collide with a pregnant woman and the damages to be paid . This Parsha then mentions the famous Law of " An Eye for an Eye " - " Aiyin Tachat Ayin , " where money restitution is the Law . Eye for an Eye , " Ayin Tachas Ayin , " literally means " Eye under an Eye " which means that the Eye of the perpetrator is not taken but monetary compensation and not the actual eye is the restitution . The very fact that the Eye was not mentioned as an ' instead of ' but that which is " under " or in replacement of , shows it was not an actual eye taken for an eye . Also , the Hebrew word " Tachas " comes to 808 in Gematriah , where 8 + 8 = 16 and 1 + 6 = 7 and the word " Kesef " - " Money " in Gematriah also comes to 20 + 60 + 80 = 80 + 80 = 160 and 1 + 6 + 0 = 7 , which shows that seeing that they are both 7 , the compensation for an eye for an eye or any other of the body parts mentioned , each with the word " Tachas , " means that it refers to money compensation . The Parsha then discusses injuries and damages via an animal and also if a man steals an ox , or a sheep or goat and slaughters it to sell it , he must pay five cattle for the ox or four sheep if he stole a sheep . The reason that Torah Commands more oxen to pay back then sheep , Is Due To HaShem's Compassion , even for one who sadly does wrong , For HaShem Takes Into Consideration the embarrassment of the man who perpetrates the deed , for oxen are led away and it does not look as embarrassing as sheep , that are usually carried on the shoulder when stolen and so are more embarrassing And Thus Does HaShem Take Into Account this embarrassment And Requests only four sheep restitution as oppose to five oxen restitution . The Holy Torah Then Teaches About The Laws Of Shomrim , safeguarding the article of another and who holds responsibility for a lost item . Torah Then Mentions The Law of the case of one who seduces a virgin and what is to happen in Judgement of it and also respect for her honour . Torah comes down very strictly on those who are involved in sorcery , for one who is a sorceress , is not to be permitted to live . Also one who lies with an animal shall be put to death and one who brings offerings to idols also must be put to death . We are not to serve anything or anyone as a deity , Chas Ve Shalom . Only HaShem , are we To Serve . Only HaShem Is G-D . We are not to taunt or oppress a stranger a Ger a convert . We are not to cause pain to a widow or orphan For HaShem Holds them Dear To Him if they cry out To HaShem . Parashas Mishpatim Then Speaks Of The Laws Of lending to a poor person and how no interest is to be taken and if you take their garment as security , till sunset shall you return it to him . HaShem , we shall not revile Chas Ve Shalom and a leader of our people we shall not curse . HaShem Puts righteous people in positions of respect for a reason and we are to respect HaShem's Wisdom . To disrespect a leader of our people , is to disrespect HaShem's Choice and it is thus a disrespect Of HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom . Fullness Offerings and Priestly Heave - Offerings shall not be delayed in giving . Holy are we Jews to be , a People of Holiness shall we be To HaShem . We shall not break the Law by eating the flesh of an animal torn in the field . Torah Then Cautions us , As HaShem Teaches us , About The Judicial process , not to bring false reports or be a false witness , not as a Judge , to follow the majority for evil , not to yield to the majority to pervert the Law , not to glorify a destitute person in his grievance , but to be a fair and noble upstanding and moral Judge - A Torah Judge . Within the word " Mishpatim , " is the word ' Shofet , ' which means ' Judge , ' so we are to be for ourselves , our own Judges , to ensure that we keep Strictly To HaShem's Mishpatim Ordinances And Laws . Also are we to return an animal of a person that we hate , should we see this animal wandering and not to let a donkey crouch under its burden . We are to distance ourselves from a false word , not execute the righteous , or exonerate the wicked and we are not , if as Judges , to accept a bribe , " For the bribe will blind those who see and corrupt words that are just . " Thus bribes make to the person taking them , a complete false reality for them , one that is untrue and deceitful , one that suits them to see , that they themselves set up in order to wrongly fit in with the false bribe scenario that they take . HaShem Then teaches about the Sabbatical Year and how we are to leave our fields fallow in the Sabbatical year Shemittah Year and how This Law Relates To The Holy Shabbos . HaShem Again Reiterates Not to serve idols And Not even to mention their names , be they of stone , wood , human or of human birth or human flesh - Numbers 23 : 19 and Hosea 11 : 9 and Hosea 13 : 4 . HaShem Tells Of The Three Pilgrim Festivals of Pesach , Shavuos and Succos . HaShem Tells us Of Sending His Angel Before us , this being the Angel Metatron . Metatron , say our sages , has 72 wings , Coinciding With The 72 Names Of HaShem , how his size fills the Universe , how he is sometimes described as the High Priest In The Heavenly Temple at times , how he teaches Torah to the Righteous that have passed in the Yeshiva on high and that he led Avraham through Canaan , delivered Yitzchak from the knife at the Akeidah , rallied Joshuah and how he has twelve names like our Twelve Tribes of Israel , being an Angel Close To HaShem ( Jewish Encyclopaedia - R Dennis ) . The Parsha Tells Of How HaShem Will Destroy our enemies And Of The Wonders That HaShem Will Perform For us In our Homeland Israel . HaShem Also Warns us That when we are in our Land of Israel , that we are not to seal a covenant with those who inhabited the land or their false deities or beliefs and that they are not to dwell in the Land , unless they accept The Torah Way Of Life and no idols or deities are to be there and that they are To Follow HaShem Only , for if we leave them or allow them to follow other ways that are not HaShem's Torah , they will lead us astray , Chas Ve Shalom , cause us to sin against HaShem Chas Ve Shalom and trap us , Chas Ve Shalom . We are thus to remove them from Eretz Yisrael . HaShem Instructed Moshe for him and also Aharon and the seventy elders of Israel to prostrate themselves and Moshe alone to come and Approach HaShem and so to tell all the people Of These Words Of HaShem And All Of HaShem's Ordinances and all the people responded with one voice ( and That Is What HaShem Also Wants - our oneness and togetherness which will bring on The End Of Days ) and they all responded that " All The Words That HaShem Has Spoken , we will do . " Moshe wrote All The Words Of HaShem and early in the morning built an Altar at the Foot of Har Sinai and twelve pillars for the Twelve Tribes of Israel and offerings were made , showing that we all , in every generation , entered into This Covenant With HaShem , that we are To Keep Forever . HaShem Came Down On The Mountain and Israel saw under HaShem's Feet , The Likeness Of Sapphire Brickwork and it was here that Aharon's sons , Nadav and Avihu , were not humble enough and gazed to look At A Part Of This Holy Site Of The Essence Of HaShem's Shechinah and so , at this moment , they were ordained to die , but they were not killed at this instance but later , so as not to mar the Specialness Of This Very Holy Event . HaShem Informed Moshe That he is to ascend Har Sinai and he Would Be Given The Stone Tablets And The Teachings And The Commandments and Joshuah remained faithfully and humbly waiting for him at the bottom of Har Sinai And HaShem Saw To It That an Omer of Mannah fell for Joshuah every day while he waited for his beloved Teacher Moshe . Moshe had Aharon and Chur , remain to oversee the people . Moshe ascended The Mountain and The Cloud Covered it And The Glory Of HaShem Rested On Har Sinai . The Parsha ends by telling us that Moshe was on the Mountain for forty days and forty nights . Some of the Angels complained that Moshe was coming to take The Torah down to us and some wanted to burn him . HaShem Told Moshe to hold on To HaShem's Kisei HaKavod Throne Of Glory and to answer them . Moshe asked them do they have bodies that must rest , houses that they must put Mezuzahs on , deal in civil matters that are between people and people that they are not , have children that can keep The Mitzvos , marry and go by The Laws of the Torah . The Angels had to answer no and so Moshe proved That The Torah From HaShem Is For us Jews as human beings , who can and are to keep these Laws That Are In The Torah . So was Moshe up there for forty days and forty nights . So ends The Parsha . The Mishpatim deal a lot with Civil Laws regulating the behaviour between people , which are very important , for a society that has no civil honour and order , will break down , as did the generation of the Mabul - the Flood . Civil Laws regulating human behaviour is vital to the continuation of our World , for a society that cares little for how it acts towards other people , is sadly a society that works contrary to The Laws Of Continuance Of HaShem's Beautiful Creation . HaShem Is Totally Selfless and so must we be , In Order To Be At One With HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu . The Parsha starts by saying " Ve ' Eileh HaMishpatim Asher Tasim Lifneihem " - " And These Are The Ordinances that you shall place before them . " This Is A Commandment For All Time . The Laws And Ordinances Of HaShem Must Be Always " Before us " - " For All Time . " The Laws Of HaShem Must Be our Pathway Through Life , Headed Toward HaShem's Intended Wish For us all , The Destination Being Always And Ever Headed Closer To HaShem . It Must Be These Very Ordinances That HaShem Gave . Not reformed ones or changed ones . The word " We " referred to Moshe then , but it also refers to our Rabbonim and Leaders and also ourselves , for we must also be Torah Leaders of ourselves too , keeping ourselves ever On The Path Of And Toward Holiness . In every generation , our Leaders and Rabbis have a great responsibility , to ensure that our Holy Torah , As Given To Moshe , Is To Be Kept , As HaShem Gave It . It Is To Be Kept , Just As HaShem Gave It On Har Sinai . Torah Is Eternal , as must be our Following Of And Obedience To It , in all generations , never changing and our Eternal Path To Shamayim Heaven . There is to be no reforming Of HaShem's Eternal Forever Law and thus no changes will ever be made To This Eternal Law . That which Is Eternal And For All Eternity , Is For Eternity And Thus Is Always Applicable , Throughout all generations , Never To Ever change , For It Is Eternal And Thus Eternally Valid . HaShem Foresees Forever And HaShem Thus Knows what new times and modernization will come in this World . HaShem Is Ever Wise And Ever Almighty And HaShem Knows That The Laws And Ordinances That HaShem Gave , Will Last Forever , Through every circumstance And Through every generation . We are not in anyway to make any changes to Torah And It's Laws And Ordinances . Our Torah Is From HaShem and so are we and thus are we to be At One With HaShem's Holy Torah , As HaShem Wrote It and so will we then be At One With HaShem . For HaShem Says Clearly ( Knowing what we might do or what people might do ) , that it is " These Mishpatim Ordinances " and not changed ones , That HaShem Put Before us Forever and so , we are To Keep Them Forever , Just As HaShem Told Us And Tells us every day , That HaShem Gives us Life to breathe and Keep HaShem's Beautiful Holy Torah Laws . HaShem " Tasim " - " Put " These Mishpatim Before us And HaShem Will , Every Day " Tasim " - " Put " These Laws Before us So That we Must Keep Them . The Word " Tasim " in Gematriah , comes to 400 + 300 + 10 + 40 = 750 and the 0 has no letter in Gematriah and when the 0 is put with the 7 , we get 70 with the number 5 , where 70 in Gematriah , is a Hebrew letter " Ayin " and the 5 in Gematriah , is the Hebrew letter " Hei " and both of these letters are basically silent , yet powerful and within The Breath Of HaShem's Quiet and so , in keeping HaShem's Ordinances , And In HaShem " Tasim " - " Putting " His Ordinances before us , HaShem Is Coming To Us In Quietude And Almighty Holiness , Standing " Lifneihem " - " Before us " Always . So as we live each day , we are and may we ensure , that we always Live By And Follow The Very Commandments That HaShem Gave us , Just As They Were Given By HaShem And Just As They Are Given By HaShem " Lifneihem " - " Before " us Everyday . HaShem Is At All Times Before us And So Are HaShem's Laws At All Times Before us . Let us never detract from Them or move away from Them , Chas Ve Shalom , but let us always Keep Close To Them and always make Them a full part of our existence and Life , For They Are our Life And The Length Of our days As HaShem Says In HaShem's Holy Torah , as we stand Always Before HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Beloved HaShem With Eternal Everlasting And Forever Deepest Love , A Very Beautiful And Special And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh And Chodesh Tov Adar I With Eternal Everlasting And Forever Deepest Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Very Special and Beautiful and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov Adar I with love .
