Today is the Fast of Gedaliah . The story of Gedaliah ben Ahikam is told in Yirmeyahu Jeremiah 40 and 41 . The King of Bavel Babylon had made Gedaliah Governor over the remnants that were left in Judah , thus allowing still a part of our people to remain under part Jewish Governorship , but in the Seventh Month as Tanach says and as Gemorrah Rosh HaShanah 18b states , Ishmael ben Nethaniah came with ten men and assassinated him and others , for he was working for the King of Ammon . With this murder , our people lost the last hope of a bit of sovereignty , under Jewish Governorship , and with it a lost hope of our people having some Jewish leadership , in the Holy Land at that time . This was like the final blow , to add to our going into Galus Exile and Destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians . And so , we Fast on this day . Some Rabbonim say Gedaliah was murdered on Rosh HaShanah , but we delay the Fast till after the Yom Tov . Gedaliah was a close friend of Jeremiah ( who was sent to Gedaliah , by the Ruler of Babylon ) , and both had warned the people , that HaShem Had Gotten Upset With us , and so , did we have to go into Exile into Bavel , and so are we are to accept this as our punishment and not fight Bavel . HaShem Had Assured Jeremiah that we would come out of exile after Seventy years , and so would the Land of Israel be appeased for us not keeping the Land's Sabbaticals , during our stay there and for not listening to HaShem . Israel Is Given to us , not to do with it as we like , but to keep it a Holy Land , free of idol worship . It is to be a Land where anything bit Torah is allowed . HaShem Warned us that we are not to let the nation's beliefs into Israel , but to keep The Land Holy and Torah Following , where HaShem , The One And Only G-D , Is Followed . It is not to be a Land with cities like Paris , Los Angeles , New York , London , Johannesburg , Amsterdam , or any other popular modern secular city . No , Israel and Yerushalayim , is to be Holy Unto The L-RD . The Land of Israel , Is To Be A Land Where Strict Torah Rules and , as HaShem Commanded us in His Torah , we are to remove from The Land all traces of Idol Worship , in any shape and form . This is not to be a Land where , like other popular World Cities , anything is allowed . This is not to be a Land where parades are done promoting that which is forbidden in Torah . This is not to be a Land where other places of foreign worship are permitted , for G-D Directly Told us these are not to be in the Holy Land . This is not to be a Land where we permit our enemies to reside , For HaShem Warned us that they would be thorns in our eyes . This is not a Land where anything but Torah , is followed . This is HaShem's Direct Instruction , for HaShem Told us that the nations before , did these things and were thrown out . This is to be a Holy Land For HaShem , Where Only HaShem and no other intermediaries , false man deities or others beliefs are followed . This is HaShem's Land and It Is To Be Kept As HaShem Wants it and As HaShem Told us to Keep it , in His Torah . And so , the people that reside there , are to do the same . The death of Gedaliah was a very sad occasion , for again , our people were not listening to HaShem , and some who were with Ishmael , wanted to win the Land back , their own way , and carry on in their own way of belief , but we need to learn , that What HaShem Says , Is What Goes . Nothing else . We cannot make other ways or find other ways that sit with us better . HaShem , Who Is All - Knowing , Is Who we are to follow , whether we agree or not . HaShem Knows All . Our own logic is of no consequence . Nothing and no one matches HaShem , And If HaShem Tells us To Do Something His Way , then we are to listen . This is a very Meaningful Fast , for we can take the lesson to account , that from now on , we are to try our best to put our own ways and wants aside , and follow only in the Path Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , The Holy One Blessed Be He . Wishing all those Jews Fasting , a Meaningful Fast .

Parashas Vayeilech Shabbat Shuva : - This post was sponsored by Meir Eliyahu . Our Parsha this Shabbos which is called Shabbos Shuva , which is the Shabbos coming between Rosh HaShanah and before Yom Kippur , during the Ten Days of Repentance and is Parashas Vayeilech and the Haftorah for this Portion is Hosea 14 : 2 - 10 ; Joel 2 : 11- 37 ; Micah 7 : 18 - 20 . The Haftorah is very suited to this period of the Ten Days , with a subject of Repentance, very much its theme and also, in the Haftorah , is the Shofar that we blow at this time of year in the Jewish Calendar, mentioned in the Haftorah . This Parsha takes place on the last day of Moshe's life. The date is the 7th of Adar 2488 years after Creation . This is the date that Moshe was born and on this date , exactly to the day , minute and second , 120 years later, was to be the day and moment of Moshe's passing . In this Parsha , Moshe has finished his speech to the people that covered most of the book of Devarim , just under 40 days And Now HaShem Tells Moshe That Behold , his time had come to take leave of the Children of Israel . Thus Moshe says , that he can no longer ' go out and come in , ' not because he was physically unable to , for he says clearly later that his eye was not dimmed and his strength unabated, but he could not go out and come in Because HaShem Had Ordered him not to and he found that his words to the people , were no longer able to be grasped , for he had become spiritually so high that he could no longer explain The Torah Depths to the level of the people . The time had come for the Children of Israel to go over the Jordan and now the time had come for Yehoshua Joshua to take over as leader . So on this last day for Moshe , Moshe went from Tribe to Tribe to bid his farewell. Moshe related the battles about Sichon and Og and Moshe summoned Yehoshua and , before the eyes of all Israel , announced his leadership . On that last day , with The Miracles Of HaShem , Moshe wrote in one day , 13 Torahs, one for each Tribe and a 13th Torah , which he gave to the Kohanim , the sons of Levi , the bearers of the Ark , to keep for safe-keeping at the side of the Ark of the Covenant , to ensure that there will always be A Torah that will be there so that any other Torah ever written will have Moshe's Torah to stand As HaShem Instructed It to be , word for word , letter for letter and space for space . Moshe commands that at the end of seven years , in the Sabbatical year , during the Succos Yom Tov , that the king of Israel is to read from the Torah and that all are to attend , men , women and even little children and the stranger in our cities . Though the very small children could not totally comprehend , as our Rabbi have said , the parents could thus get kavod for bringing the children and fulfilling this Mitzvah . HaShem Summons both Moshe and Joshua and has them stand in the Tent of Meeting and HaShem Appeared In A Pillar Of Cloud And HaShem Tells us that after Moshe passes on , the people will stray to idol worship And HaShem Will Conceal His Face From us , not because HaShem Is Wanting To Turn Away From us , But HaShem Is Pained at how we hurt Him and , as our Rabbonim say , HaShem Does not Want To Look at the punishment we will get , For HaShem Loves us And Does Not Want To See us hurting . HaShem Instructs Moshe to write the song of Haazinu ( in the next Parsha ) , to stand as a witness that HaShem Warned us not to stray and what will happen if we do , Chas Ve Shalom , that if any punishments come upon us , it was fore-warned , should we go against HaShem and that we only have ourselves to blame . For when we do get punished , we as humans tend to ask HaShem Why , without always looking at ourselves . Now the song of Haazinu will stand as a testimony to how we brought it upon ourselves , by our own disobedience . So ends the Parsha . How interesting it is , that this Parsha is called " Vayeilech , " - " Went , " where Moshe went to speak all these words to the people . Usually a leader of other nations is one to whom people go to him, but not humble Moshe . Moshe cared so much for his people that even to that last moment of his physical life as Moshe , he was still " Vayeilech , " - " Going " out and serving his people . He was a totally unselfish man , even right up to the moments of his last breath . To the truly Righteous , passing on , is not the end , but a continuation of the journey of True Life . Life in reality does not end at death . That is just ( in true reality ) another part of ' True Living . Thus Moshe was continuing " Vayeilech , " - " Going " on his journey toward his path of living in the form of True Spiritual Growing Living . Death is not an end , but simply a part of the journey of True Spiritual Life , to the next stage of Growing . True growing , is growing toward the ' Heart of HaShem and His Will . ' If we look deeply into the word " Vayeilech , " the very same letters can also spell , ' Ki Leiv ' ( where Vav and Vet are interchangeable in one of the ways of Hebrew interpretation ) , which means ' Because of the heart , ' so whose heart is being referred to ? HaShem's Heart And Seat Of Emotions , as well as ours . So where was Moshe " Vayeilech , " - " Going ? " To ' Ki Leiv , ' closer to The Heart And Will Of HaShem . So must each step that we make also be towards The Heart And Will Of HaShem's Wish ( not ours ) . Each step we take must be one of growing higher . If we remain Religiously and Spiritually stagnant , without growing holier every day , we haven't truly lived . Moshe , every day , " Vayeilech " - " Went " higher and higher towards HaShem . That is True Life - True Living . So the fact that he was passing on , was not an end to his journey , Chas Ve Shalom , but on the contrary , just a continuation of the journey his neshoma started on , at Creation . And now it was time for him to continue on his Spiritual growing path . This is one of the reasons why he couldn't , as he Moshe put it , ' go out and come in anymore , ' for he had reached as far as he could Spiritually in this present form . So the only way to keep growing , was to pass on to the next level of Growing toward HaShem And HaShem's Will And Heart Wish Of Emotion . So is it with those we dearly love and lose . They are also on a continuing journey of Spiritual Climb toward HaShem ( as are we all ) . We know this is true , for so often in Torah are those that are mentioned who are going to pass on , are mentioned as ' The Life of ' or ' Lived , ' as is the case with the Sedra of Sarah passing on , being called " Chayei Sarah , " - " The life of Sarah , " even though she was to die ". The same is for Jacob in the Sedra that talks of his passing and that Sedra is called " Vayechi , " ( which means ) - " Lived ," even though it was the Sedra of his passing . This is the real way of a righteous person . Even though they are passing away , Torah still refers to it as ' Living ' for that is exactly what it truly is - a continuation of the True Living that started at the beginning of Creation , where all of us are always on a path towards True Spiritual Growth . Our Matriarchs and Patriarchs knew this . That death is not a finality , but a continuation of the Journey of Life . The same is with Moshe . Though his time to " Vayeilech " - " Go " had come , it was not the end for him , but a continuation of his Journey Towards True Life . As HaShem Told Moshe , when Moshe was pleading with HaShem not to have to go , in The Torah , when HaShem Said " It is enough , " this also meant that Moshe had now done enough as Moshe and it was time to take the next step in Moshe's journey and continue on Growing in his next stage of True Living and do something for himself for a change , where Moshe had spent his whole life caring only for others . What a beautiful Neshoma was our beloved Moshe . So is it the same for every step we each take in this World . Each move we make , is part of the journey . When we " Vayeilech , " - " Go out " from our own personal wishes and live only to fulfill The Wishes Of HaShem , we too will be headed towards holiness. The operative idea , is to rise above our own self-wanting self fulfilling desires that are of little or no worth and " Vayeilech , " - " Go out " from ourselves , only fulfilling The Wants And Needs Of HaShem , Creation's One And Only True Creator Who Knows all And Is Totally Selfless . As we approach Yom Kippur , during these Ten Days of Repentance , let us really think about our lives and what will bring it true lasting and eternal value . It Is Only HaShem And It Is Only HaShem's Torah And Laws that will put us on the path to holiness. The Path towards HaShem's Will And Emotions of Heart . Every day That HaShem Gives us is never to be wasted . This World is our opportunity to grow . Its tests and challenges are there for us to become more holy .At this time between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur , we need to really work on ourselves and ask ourselves , ' Are we really Spiritually where we wanted to be this year ? ' For the most part , I would imagine the answer will be ' No . ' Here we are on the threshold of a New Year , just a few days after the True Historical Day of Rosh HaShanah ( The First of Tishrei ) , on which day , HaShem Created people in Creation . Should we not use this period of time to reflect and do sincere Teshuvah and get this World back on track With HaShem's Will . Most definitely we must . Everything Moshe did , had a reason, not just for us and those around him whom he constantly prayed for , but even for his own growth . There is an opinion , that Moshe was the Gilgul of Noach . We know that for 40 years , while Moshe was leading us Under HaShem , in the Wilderness , Moshe was forced to continue praying for us and our forgiveness . What was the deeper reason for this , where Moshe is concerned ? We find a deeper answer to this in the actions of Noach . When Noach was told That HaShem Would Send a flood to wipe out the people , Noach did not pray for them , but built the Ark , wanting to strictly obey HaShem's Word . HaShem Tells us in The Torah that the rain was upon the Earth for forty days and forty nights . How interesting , that this number 40 appears here , for Moshe too , had to pray for us and beg HaShem continually for 40 years for us in the Bamidbar - the Wilderness . So was Moshe making up for his action as Noach , by this time having to continually pray for the people . Sounds very deeply possible . Interesting , how Moshe was called Moshe , which means ' Drawn out , ' of the water , where HaShem protected and saved Noach and his family from the flood waters . How interesting it is , that Noach's Ark was called a " Teivah " in Hebrew and the Basket that Moshe was put into , in the Nile was also called a " Teivah . " So every thing that Moshe did and had to do had a deeper reason . HaShem Is So Beyond our capacity and limit to understand and we see only a glimpse of it all . We were told in Parashas Va'eschanan that Moshe pleaded with HaShem 515 times ( the Gematrical value of the word Va'eschanan ) to be let into the land . If we take the year of Moshe's passing , it was the year 2488 . If we take the 515 times that Moshe prayed for himself to be let into the Land of Eretz Yisrael and times that number by 7 for the number of years in a Sabbatical year , we get the number 3605 . If we add the number 3605 to the number 2488 ( the year of Moshe's passing ) we come to the number 6093 , the date on which Moshiach is due to come and no later . Thus when Moshe was pleading for entry into the land , something else spiritually was going on . Moshe was actually covering us all with his prayers right up until the End of Days . HaShem Is Truly So Deep , that we can't possibly fathom a speck of the full picture . How interesting it is , that also within the word Va'eschanan , are the Hebrew Letters ' Nun ' and Ches , ' which spell " Noach . " Within the word " Va'eschanan , " is the word ' Chanan , ' which means Compassion ' and ' Va ' and ' Et ' means ' And To or Toward ' So put together , it means ' And toward compassion . ' Thus even though Moshe had prayed so many times and been turned down , HaShem Was Still Doing An Action Toward Compassion , Both For Moshe's Spiritual Growth And For us all , in Moshe having then prayed for us till the End of Time . Oh HaShem , How Mighty And Powerful , Wise And Merciful Thou Art . So every " Vayeilech " - " Going " that we do , has a reason in the scheme of things , a reason that we can't possibly understand right now . But every step we take in " Going " is a continuation of our True Life towards HaShem . Whether it is the passing of the soul to the next phase or level , or whether it is Going on with each step of life every day , each step towards HaShem , is a Climb of destiny towards HaShem And HaShem's Pathway Towards The End of Days and the Destination of Creation . So we must have full faith and Emunah in HaShem , for every step we take in the direction of Holiness and Torah , is a step closer to our Beloved G-D HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be he . I wish Most Beloved And Beautiful HaShem With utmost Sweetest Eternal And Forever Love , A Truly Sweet And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With So Much Deep Everlasting Love and to all my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Very Sweet and Holy Shabbos Kodesh With Love and to my fellow Jews , A Meaningful Fast on Yom Kippur .

Our Shabbos Parsha is Parashas Nitzavim and this Shabbos comes just before Rosh HaShanah . The Haftorah for this Parsha is the last of the Haftorahs of consolation since Tisha B'Av that is from Yeshayahu Isaiah 61:10-63:9. In this Parsha , Moshe's almost 40 days discourse ends and this Parsha takes place on the last day Moshe was with us then . Moshe starts this Parsha by saying , " Atem Nitzavim Hayom Kulchem Lifnei HaShem Elokeichem " - " You are standing today all of you before HaShem , your G-D ," to renew the covenant made with our Fore-Fathers, just before we are to enter the Holy Land and just before Moshe is about to ascend to HaShem and leave us . Moshe refers to us all standing before HaShem , Heads of the Tribes , Our Elders , Our Officers , Our Small Children , Our Women and the Proselyte , from the Hewer of Wood to the Drawer of Water ( these were the K'na'anim who had requested from Moshe to convert , but Moshe suspected their motives as they claimed to be from a far off people and because Moshe was aware that they were not sincere in coming to Judaism , he allowed them to remain as hewers of stone and water drawers for the Tabernacle ) , were all brought into the renewed covenant with HaShem . Included in this were all Jews past , present and Jews to still be born in future generations - all were standing there that day . Moshe referred next, to those who may be standing there and not have their heart genuinely with HaShem , but may be considering idol worship , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Here Refers , through Moshe , to a time when we would be exiled and when that time comes , we must know That HaShem Warned us not to follow idols . Moshe refers to the Blessings and Curses and when we are being punished , to take it to heart and if we repent sincerely , HaShem Will Forgive us And Bring us Back From exile , wherever we have been scattered And HaShem Will Punish our enemies who mistreated us through those times of Galus and we will return to HaShem and follow all Of His Commandments And His Decrees in the Book of The Torah And HaShem Will Bless us , when we return to HaShem with all our heart and with all our soul . HaShem Through Moshe Tells us That The Torah Is always available and reachable . HaShem Foresees That there will be times when some of us will lessen on The Laws and make out they are not to be kept anymore and they will try to change them and lessen on them , Chas Ve Shalom , So HaShem Prophetically Reminds us That The Torah Is not Distant , but That The Torah Is very near us , within our heart and soul , so we must follow it at all times , through all generations and never change in any way , never lessen in any way , or reform in any way , Chas Ve Shalom , All The Laws That HaShem Gives us . They are to remain the same through all time and must never be lessened or changed in any way . There will be those who might say that The Torah is too hard to keep , So HaShem Says , " It is not in Heaven so we would need to say who will have to ascend to Heaven to take It for us , so we can listen to It and perform It , " for The Torah Is very near us and easily accessible and comes down to us from Shamayim From HaShem , As HaShem Already Brought It down to us on Har Sinai , so we can keep It , though even if It were still only in Heaven , we would be obligated to climb high to reach It and acquire It , just as Moshe had to do , when he went up the Mountain to win against the Angels attempts to prevent him bringing It down to us. HaShem Put The Torah directly in front of us, so we can follow and keep It All . HaShem Through Moshe Tells us That It Is Not across the Sea , that we should say who will go to the other side of the sea to take It for us so that we may listen to It and perform It ," although if It was , It would be our obligation to travel anywhere to attain It and keep It . The Torah Is Not across the sea , which refers also to That HaShem's Laws Are Not found in the beliefs of the other nations . HaShem's Laws Are Only Within HaShem's Torah Gift That HaShem Gave to us . And so we must listen to It and perform It . For HaShem Says " Rather , the matter is very near to you - in your mouth and your heart - to perform It . " HaShem's Torah Is Within us to keep It Always . It is interesting that the letters in the words in Hebrew for " in your mouth and your heart ," - " B'ficha U'vilvavcha ," number ten letters , like the Ten Commandments And the Ten Pronouncements That HaShem Uttered To Create Creation . Thus , in keeping HaShem's Word And Commandments in our mouth and heart and fulfilling HaShem's Commandments to do them , we are also fulfilling The Ten Commandments and most importantly , fulfilling HaShem's Wish For Creation . The word " La'asoto , " - " To perform it , " ( The Torah And Commandments Of HaShem ) that comes after " in your mouth and in your heart , " Teaches us That HaShem Does Not Just Want us to keep it in our mouth and heart , but It must fulfill It's Purpose , by us " La'asoto , " - " Performing it " and thus must we become The Torah in doing all the Laws . HaShem Again Reminds us that we have a choice to follow Him And Be Blessed , or to stray , Chas Ve Shalom And Be Punished . HaShem Calls Heaven And Earth , as the two witnesses needed for seeing that we keep The Laws , for as we know the witnesses must be the first to punish the perpetrator and this means that if we disobey , then the Earth Will Be Called Upon to punish us , through withholding The Goodness That HaShem Has Blessed the Earth to give us and so we will be Brought To Account By HaShem , through the Earth , in the form of the physical things on the Earth That HaShem Gave To the Earth , being withheld and the Heaven and its host of Malachim and other entities From HaShem , Will Be Called Upon , to bring us Punishment From HaShem , but if we hearken to The Voice Of HaShem Our G-D , the Earth Will Be Blessed By HaShem Who Will Bless us abundantly Through the Earth From HaShem and the Heaven From HaShem , will open itself to us for a sweet and peaceful holy stay in Shamayim , if we only love HaShem and listen to HaShem's Voice and cleave to HaShem , Who " Is your ( our ) life and the length of your ( our ) days , to dwell upon the land That HaShem Swore To your ( our ) Fore-Fathers , to Avraham , to Yitzchak and to Yaakov , To Give To them . " So ends the Parsha . We note how in this Parsha , Moshe refers to us all standing together even as single units together and so , our Rabbis tell us that this verse is phrased this way so as to institute a common responsibility from then on , that the actions of one Jew , will now affect the rest of our nation , that if one Jew sins , it will affect the punishment of other Jews , for we are now all standing together as one . Thus , if one Jew lessens on Torah Mitzvos , it will affect other Jews , even far away . All Jews from that point on , now have a common ' Aravus ' - ' Responsibility , ' for their fellow Jew . Thus a Jew cannot say that he or she will lessen on the Laws and that it won't affect other Jews , because it will . It is like the example of five men on a boat and if one man says that he will drill a hole under his own seat and that it won't affect the other four , how wrong he is , for he will cause his other peers to drown . The same works the other way , that if Jews Daven Pray together in Minyonim , we thus stand as a collective and so HaShem Judges us all as a whole and the merits of our fellow Jews can also lift us up and help us . This is one of the reasons why we should Daven in a Minyan , For HaShem Scrutinizes more closely , the sins of the individual , unlike would be , if the individual would stand together with his or her peers . The same is with the four Species in the Lulav and Etrog on Succos , where each represents a different level of Jews , but when brought together , become one and they uplift each other . This is a good thing to remember at this time of year , as we are about to celebrate Rosh HaShanah , The Day in Creation That HaShem Created Adam Ve Chavah and so it is at this particular time of the year That HaShem Feels Especially Close To us And Comes Down Closer To us At This particular period of time of the year , in the Jewish year and true date and day of the year from Creation . This is a very specific time , where we all " Nitzavim " - " Stand " as a collective and individual , before HaShem For Judgement . So it is so important to go to Shul on this day and every day , for if we stand with our peers , HaShem Looks At us as a collective And Sees our love and wish collectively , to be close to Him . I am not saying that this period of time should be the only time that Jews should go to Shul , as that is not right . Jews should go to Shul every Shabbos and Jewish males every day three times a day in Shul ( where Jewish Males are Halachically obligated to time bound Mitzvos Kiddushin 29a ' Mitzvos Aseh Shehazeman Gerama ' - ' All Positive Time Bound Mitzvos , ' where women are not obligated to Time Bound Positive Mitzvos ) . A Jew " Nitzavim " - " Stands " at all times before HaShem , in the light and in the dark , at Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur and also at every moment and day during the rest of the year . But this is a special time where HaShem Scrutinizes His Creation more fervently . But we , must make an effort at all times to attend Holy full Torah Following Shuls and at all times must we " Nitzavim " - " Stand " up and follow HaShem's Torah Laws . We must Stand up as a nation of Holy Torah and take hold of HaShem's Link to us , The Very Holy Torah , to lead us to Him . We note that in this Parsha the word " Nitzavim " for " Standing " is used . Standing is usually ' Omeid ' in Hebrew , though the word ' Natzeiv ' also means ' Standing ,' but the word " Natzeiv " suggests a more upright kind of Erect " Standing . " So why the need for this more erect kind of " Standing " in this context . Taking the word " zavim " and looking within it , one comes to two separate words ,' Natziv ' and ' Tzava , ' which according to the Shimon Silberman Milon Dictionary , ' Natziv ' means ' to Stand erect and one commissioned ' and ' Tzava ' means ' Assemble , ' thus how must we stand before HaShem . Straight and Erect with respect , ready to be commissioned By HaShem as His Representative , to do His Holy Laws And Bidding and Bring HaShem's Essence Into every moment .But how can we possibly Stand before HaShem in an Erect way and still respect and Honor Him . This erect way to stand before HaShem , is not in reference to a physical arrogant way of standing , Chas Ve Shalom . It is to be a Spiritually Holy and Righteous Erect way of presenting ourselves before our Creator , as commissioned and representing HaShem within Creation , always standing before HaShem with humility and standing up for HaShem at every moment that it comes up to do so . We are at every moment " Nitzavim " - " Standing " before HaShem and so , must we at all times Follow His Mitzvos And His Holy Ways And Thus must we emulate HaShem's Ways and so by doing that within Creation , we will make Creation a place where HaShem Will Dwell Among us . So how can we " Nitzavim " - " Stand " before HaShem , being worthy to do so ? By scrutinizing our every action and making all that we do , holy , so we can make ourselves Worthy to Stand before HaShem in holiness and love . And how do we bring this World to its intended result in Creation ? By " Nitzavim " - " Standing " as the Parsha says " Kulchem " - " All of us " together , all serving HaShem Together as one , in Peace and Harmony . And when must we stand before HaShem ? The Parsha says " Hayom " - " Today . " And when is " Hayom " - " Today ? " Every day , every minute of every hour , for every moment is within the day and every day is , at that present moment " Hayom " - " Today . " At all times are we " Nitzavim " - " Standing " before HaShem . And so must we make ourselves always ready to Stand Before HaShem , by being Holy and Faithful to HaShem And His Holy Torah Mitzvos . And if we do this and are totally Holy and Faithful to HaShem and follow All His Commandments , HaShem Will Come And Stand Before us For Closeness And Love And Creation Will Then Be Filled With The Light And Love Of HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Beloved HaShem With Sweet Forever Love Always , A Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh And Shanah Tovah With Deepest Everlasting Love Always and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Kesivah Ve Chasimah Tovah , Shanah Tovah Umetukah and a Sweet New Year with much love .

The Shabbos Sedra is Parashas " Ki Tavo " and this Sedra is a beautiful continuation of the last Parsha , as I mentioned there , where in the last Parsha , " Ki Seitzei , " if one goes out from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , one removes oneself from Blessings , but if one " Ki Tavo , " Enters into or comes close to HaShem , then one brings oneself to Blessings and one Is then Sweetly Blessed By HaShem , The Source Of All Blessings . The Haftorah for Parshas Ki Tavo is Yeshayahu Isaiah 60 : 1 - 22 . This Haftorah begins by speaking Of How HaShem Returns To us And Shines Upon us , which is such a fitting Response From HaShem , when we " Ki Tavo " - " Enter Back Into " HaShem's Commandments and Love . This Parsha starts , by telling us that when we " Ki Tavo " - " Enter " the Land That HaShem our G-D Gives us as an inheritance and when we possess it and dwell in it , that we are to take the First Fruits and bring them to the Place That HaShem Chooses , coming to the Kohein in the days we bring it and make the declaration that is written in this Parsha Devarim 26 : verses 5 - 10 . This was such a beautiful procession that people used to make to Yerushalayim with their baskets . It was certainly such a special sight to behold , as they walked in procession , playing their flutes and lyres and singing along the way. They needed to be very careful not to stay within lodgings along the way , lest there be contamination within the lodging , as this could , Chas Ve Shalom , contaminate their First Fruits that they were bringing to Yerushalayim . There was even a special order in which they would pack their First-Fruits Bikkurim in the baskets . Chazal says that these Bikkurim comprised the seven species for which Eretz Yisrael Is Blessed with By HaShem , which are Grapes , Figs , Pomegranates , Dates , Wheat , Barley and Olives . As the procession neared a city , people in that city would joyously go out to welcome the travellers as they passed , with songs and dances and blessings . This would take place from city to city , until the procession arrived at the outskirts of Yerushalayim , when people from the Holy City would go out in lines to welcome them . When the travelers would come to the Temple , they were to make the declaration as stated , before the Kohein and so give their Bikkurim and thank HaShem For Watching Over us And For Making us a great and populous nation And Hearing our afflictions And For Taking us Out of Mitzrayim With a Strong Hand And An Outstretched Arm , With Great Awesomeness And With Signs And Wonders And Bringing us to Eretz Yisrael And Giving us This Land , a Land that flows with Milk and Honey and so , with these beautiful processions , we could thank HaShem For All His Bounty And Holy Goodness , when we would bring the Bikkurim of our Land That HaShem Gave us . The Laws of bringing Bikkurim , was such a holy concept , for like Judaism that it is a part of , it teaches how all things Come From HaShem And HaShem Comes First in all things , where a farmer who waited years for his crops and fruits to grow , as soon as it does and the first of the fruits blossom , he ties a ribbon around the branch to designate that blossom fruit as First Fruit and so puts his own wants aside and long wait for the fruit to grow and Remembers HaShem First To Whom Is Due the First Fruits Of his Blessings From HaShem . The travellers would spend the night in Yerushalayim and so take in the Holiness of The Temple Surroundings , the Avodah Work of the Kohanim and the Holiness of the Holy City . HaShem Then Speaks Of Ma'aser Tithes and the declaration made when giving Ma'aser . HaShem Wants us to be with Him , inseparable from Him and thus must we be forever holy , keeping His Commandments And Statutes Always and forever walking in His Ways , observing His Decrees , His Commandments And His Statutes and Hearkening to His Voice . HaShem Distinguished us to be for Him , a treasured people , As He Spoke To us , observing His Commandments , For HaShem Made us supreme over all the nations That HaShem Made ( Devarim 26 : 19 ) , for praise , for renown and for splendour and so that we " will be a holy people to HaShem , our G-D , As HaShem Spoke . " HaShem Then Commands That when we go over the Jordan , we are to set up large stones and coat them with plaster and upon these stones , HaShem Commanded That we put on the stones , all the words of this Torah . That was quite a miracle , for to fit the entire Torah on these stones , was only a feat That HaShem Could Accomplish . Our Rabbonim discuss this point in detail and some think that it was The Taryag Mitzvos , the enumeration of the 613 Commandments of the Torah that were put on these stones . Other Rabbonim think that it may have been the Blessings and the Curses that are still to follow in this Parsha . But With HaShem , all things are possible and so , if Moshe was Commanded that all the words of this Torah were to be inscribed on the stones , Then HaShem Would Make it possible That The Entire Holy Torah could be inscribed upon them . And So As HaShem Commanded when we entered the Holy Land under the leadership of Yehoshuah Joshua With Help From HaShem , after we went over the Jordan , Yehoshuah Joshua obeyed HaShem and this Commandment was carried out and so these stones stood as a testimony that who ever enters the Land of Israel is to strictly keep HaShem's Holy Torah And Every Commandment within It , for these stones were put at the entry into Israel . Israel is to forever be a Land where its inhabitants keep The Holy Torah . That Is What HaShem Commands and we are all to listen . Our Rabbonim say that The Torah was also on these stones , put in all the 70 languages of the nations , so they too could follow HaShem's Word and know that staying in the Holy Land , meant strictly adhering To HaShem's Forever Unchanging Laws . Some of the people from the other nations came to view these stones at the time and even copied or noted down the Laws written on them , For HaShem Tells us That His Laws Are Forever and all those who want to be faithful to HaShem , need to abide By HaShem's Wish . Our Rabbis teach us that these stones were coated with plaster just in case the other nations may come and try to change the Laws that were inscribed on them . It Is Only To HaShem And To His Voice that we are to hearken to and it is only HaShem's Laws And Commandments And Decrees that we are to obey . HaShem Then Commands That when we enter the Land of Eretz Yisrael , that we are to stand Six Tribes on Mount Gerizim to bless the people and Six Tribes on Mount Eival , standing for the curse , while the Levites remain down in the valley in between these two Mountains at the entry into Eretz Yisrael and the Levites shall speak up and say to both the set of Six Tribes these proclamations that are in The Holy Torah and the Tribes are to repeat the words written here in this section of the Torah , which was first said as a Blessing for those that keep the verse mentioned and then said as an " Accursed , " for those who do not . Our Rabbonim teach us that these specific Blessings and Curses mentioned are those that tend to be very easy to commit as Aveirahs and that also these specific ones mentioned are also those Aveirahs that can be committed in secret , That Only HaShem Would Know and seeing as Only HaShem Knows All , HaShem Would Thus Bring About the Blessing for upholding these and the punishment for breaking these . So every one of us by doing this process That HaShem Commanded when entering the Land , has thus acknowledged to HaShem that we know that we will Be Blessed By HaShem for keeping His Commandments and bring down upon ourselves a curse , should we stray from HaShem And His Commandments . It is after this section of this Parasha That HaShem Mentions all the Brochas Blessings that will come upon us if we hearken to HaShem And His Commandments and the Tochachah Admonitions, lest we do not listen to HaShem And His Commandments . The more we do not listen To HaShem , the more becomes our punishment , for the further away that we travel from HaShem , the colder we spiritually make ourselves and the further away we go from HaShem's Blessings and Protection . Therefore it is we ourselves that bring about the curse that comes by the path that goes away from HaShem's Commandments And Ways . We note that in history , so many of these Tochachah have taken place and a lot of them took place at the time of Rome , when Rome came upon us after our kings strayed for generations before that . HaShem Brought Upon us , at that time , the result of our negative choices , even though it was us ourselves by our own disobedience and actions , that took us away from HaShem's Loving Protection . But even though we wrong HaShem And He Sends us punishments , within each punishment , even though we would Get Greater Protection From HaShem if we would not stray , With HaShem's Merciful Love Always , there is a hidden Blessing even in our hardship and punishment , for in our exile as Jews , we can never be totally destroyed by our enemies , for when we are scattered , we can never be destroyed by a nation's antisemitism , For With HaShem's Help Always , we Jews survive there and elsewhere . We must also always remember that in our punishment , we get to atone for what we have so very wrongly done and hopefully still get the opportunity to work off our Aveirahs and learn to be more obedient servants of our Beloved HaShem And So Be Redeemed , At The Eternal End Of Days . HaShem , With Moshe , Ends the Parsha reminding us of how we have seen everything That HaShem Did Before our eyes In Mitzrayim To Par'o Pharaoh and all of Pharaoh's servants and land And All The Miracles That HaShem Performed And How HaShem Had Moshe lead us for forty years in Bamidbar And Miraculously From HaShem , how our garment did not wear out and nor did our shoes from on our feet and how we arrived at this place where Moshe is speaking , on the borders of the Holy Land And How HaShem Saved us From Sichon and Og And How HaShem Gave us their land as an inheritance to the Reubenite , the Gadite and to half the Tribe of the Manassite . HaShem Through Moshe ends this Sedra by saying , " You shall observe the words of this Covenant , so that you will succeed in all that you do . " This is the secret to life , to observe forever , HaShem's Covenant and Laws forever , no matter how many others try to falsely persuade us that things have changed , they have not . The Laws Of HaShem , The Torah of HaShem , Is Forever And Ever , never to change Devarim 6:1-3,24-25 ; 12:28 ; 32:45-47 ; 30:10-20 ; 5:29 ; Exodus 19:5-6 ; Bereishis 26:4-5 ; Proverbs 29:18 ; Psalms 119 ; Isaiah 40:8 and Psalms 119:155 and throughout The Torah , HaShem Gives us Laws And tells us They Are Forever. You Shall not add to or subtract from HaShem's Holy Torah in any way . It Is Holy And Complete as it is - Devarim 13:1 . So ends the Parsha . As our previous Parsha and this Parsha teaches us , to go out from " Ki Seitzei / Teitzei " HaShem , is to bring upon us a lack of Brochas , but to come into and come closer to , entering into HaShem's Ways , " Ki Savo / Ki Tavo , " Brings with it , Bountiful Brochas . So we are reminded of the choice put before us , that the last few Parshas have been teaching us . There is always a choice . If we follow HaShem , we Receive His Beautiful Blessings , but if we choose to turn away from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , we are denied His Beautiful Bountiful Blessings . How Totally Fair Is HaShem . This choice has been given to us since the beginning of Creation When HaShem Created Heaven and Earth , a place for HaShem's Bountiful Blessings - Heaven and a place of test and to earn Blessings , where on Earth , we get to choose positive or negative ways to live . The Choice is always before us - just like it was for Adam Ve Chavah to either listen to HaShem and receive Shamayim Heaven or to disobey HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom and so , get punished and go into exile , further away from HaShem's Closeness , which is Earth . This choice From HaShem has always been with us since the Beginning . This choice was again clearly made to us when we entered the Land of Israel and had to stand on two Mountains . The very names of the Mountains show us this . The Mountain on which was for the Blessings , was Mount Gerizim . The Hebrew word ' Garuz ' means , ' Greasing ' ( Zilberman Dictionary ) and can refer to the Blessings of Oil that gets put on certain offerings and as we know , richness and abundance comes from the possession of Oil , as we know Asher's Tribe was Blessed with Olive Trees and Olive Oil , A Great Blessing From HaShem . Oil , like Olive Oil that is sweet , is also like being Showered With HaShem's Sweet Love . Oil is also reminiscent of the Holy Anointment Oil , which is as if to say We Jews , if we keep HaShem's Commandments , We Are Blessed And Anointed Into HaShem's Holy Service . The other Mountain where the curses were responded to , was Mount Eival where , if we look into the Hebrew of this word , it spells ' Ei ' and ' ' Bal , ' where ' Ei ' refers to the ' Eye of ' and ' Bal ' means either ' Do Not or Without , ' and ' the Hebrew word ' Be'lo ' ( Zilberman Dictionary ) , for being cursed and not Blessed is certainly a reminder of the Things HaShem Said to us ' Do Not ' do and not receiving HaShem's Blessings is certainly being ' Without ' them . So here again , even on the Mountains that are peaks that would appear to be places that go higher than the Valley in between , where the Levites would stand , even these Mountains' names , give testimony To HaShem Telling us That if we listen to and hearken to all That HaShem Tells us to do and Keep HaShem's Commandments , then we will be Blessed , but if we disobey and not listen to HaShem's Commandments , then we will most certainly lose the opportunity From HaShem Of His Many Beautiful Brochas Blessings . We can either choose to step closer every moment to HaShem , or we can waste our lives by straying and thus waste the Beautiful Holy Opportunity for Life That HaShem Has Given us . The Choice is ours and so is the result that follows it . So let us really choose wisely and never waste a single moment of the life That HaShem Has Given us , to grow into the Holy Creations , That HaShem Made us to be and forever follow HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He , always with Love and Faithfulness and thus do our part in completing Creation's Intention for us and so be forever living within The Everlasting Arms Of HaShem , in Gan Eiden and The End Of Days , with HaShem . Each of our steps that we take can either lead to Shamayim Heaven , or away from it . The choice is and has always been ours . So let us make very sure that each step that we do take , always leads us closer and toward our Beloved And Ever Loving HaShem . I wish HaShem With Everlasting And Forever Sweetest And Deepest Love , A Most Special And Ever Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With So Much Beautiful Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Most Special and Ever Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love .

The Shabbos Parsha is Parashas Ki Seitzei and the Haftorah for this Parasha or those who read the Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Parsha when Parashas Re'eh was read , now read for this Parsha of Ki Seitzei , Yeshayahu Isaiah 54 : 1 - 55 : 5 . This Haftorah is one of the Haftorahs of comfort after the period of Tisha B'Av and Speaks Of HaShem Returning To us To Save us And HaShem Reminds us that we are not forgotten And That HaShem's Kindness Will Not Be Removed from us And HaShem , Our One And Only Redeemer , Will Eternally Show us Kindness And Mercy , as a Jewish People . Our Shabbos Parsha Ki Seitzei , begins speaking of the " Yefas Toar , " - " The Woman of Beautiful form , " where a Jewish soldier goes out to battle and while in the enemy's territory , sees among them a woman , a foreign woman , not of Israel , not a Jew , a woman of beautiful form , among its captives and he desires her . The Sedra mentions that he can take her for a wife , but certain things need be done first . It was the way of the nations at the time , to dress their women up very beautifully in times of war so as to attract and catch the eyes of the other army's male soldiers . HaShem Understands That at a time of war , a man's Yetzer Horah may be heightened and so , Mercifully Permits him a way of overcoming it , But At No Time Does HaShem Ever Agree With a Jewish Soldier doing this , for a true proselyte is one who comes to Judaism , for the love of G-D , not for the physical-only love of a partner , as would be in this case at a heightened time of war , which is only a physical desire for the sake of physical reasons which is certainly not a holy and correct reason to become Jewish . We see that in this Parsha , the opinion of the " Beautiful form , " is only in the eyes of the man that is taken by what he sees And This Is Why HaShem Commands That when she is taken back to the Israelite Camp , she is to shave her head and let her nails grow , thus making herself less desirable , in the hopes that the Jewish soldier's desire might lessen so that he changes his mind about wanting to marry her for the possible reasons he may have wanted her in the first place out of physical desire only , which is heightened in times of war and which will hopefully dissipate when he sees her afterwards , away from the war situation and with her less physically made up appearance . She shall live in his house and mourn for her Father and her Mother for a month and thereafter be converted to Judaism and marry him if he still desires to marry her . But if he does not desire marriage with her , then he is to send her on her own and he may not enslave her or sell her as a slave , but he is at all times to treat her with respect . HaShem Wants us Jews to follow His Laws and not seek out foreign women that will lead us astray to their own nation's idol worshiping ways . However HaShem Looks Most Kindly upon a true and genuine Ger Proselyte Convert , who chooses with full love , The True Ways Of HaShem and Full Torah Judaism . HaShem So Much Respected the true Proselyte , That He Even Put The Sedra of The Ten Commandments in the Parsha of Yisro , who became a Righteous Proselyte . The case here of a " Yefas Toar " - " A Woman of Beautiful Form , " surely teaches us many lessons that we are not to just judge by the physical , but to look deeper , because Physicality Changes , but the goodness within is the True Gem . HaShem , as I mentioned , Prefers that soldiers do not get taken in by Physical Beauty , skin deep , but rather that the Jew and the Jewish soldier should keep holy , for the Jewish Army is to be unlike other armies , where a lot of negative things take place in some of the secular Nation's armies . The Jewish Army is to be different . The Jewish Army is to be comprised of Learned Holy Men , like King David's general and nephew Yoav ben Zeruyah was and careful selection would take place , as we learned before in Torah about how the Jewish army was spoken to by the Kohein anointed for war and officers , before they would go out to the battle , for the Jewish Army walked With HaShem Before them and was to be most holy . So such an action of the " Yefas Toar , " was certainly not encouraged among the Jewish Army . Our Sages taught that a " Yefas Toar " and the very action of marrying a " Yefas Toar " starts a roller - coaster of problems that lead to the very next Law mentioned in this Parsha , the case of possibly such a Father who married a Yefas Toar , putting the son of the woman that was a Yefas Toar , before his firstborn son of the original wife , for he may have more physical desire for the new wife and this then may lead to the next Law mentioned in the Parsha , the case of the wayward and rebellious son , who comes from the result of a " Yefas Toar , " marrying for physical desire reasons and not the right holy reasons and this could then lead to hanging and burial of this resultant rebellious son , so teach our Rabbis , who tell us that this is possibly why HaShem Put these Laws one after the other in the Torah . Such an idea was certainly proved , in the case of the happenings of Dovid Ha Melech , who went out to war and in fact married a " Yefas Toar " called Ma'acha , daughter of Talmai of Geshur , who was the Mother of Avshalom and Tamar . Exactly as Torah Teaches us in this Sedra of what will happen in cases like this , Avshalom rebelled against his Father King David , where everyday that King David would go and Judge the people , Avshalom would stand outside and turn the people away from his Father and it got so bad , that Dovid Ha Melech and his wife Bas-Sheva and their son Shlomo had to run from their own palace because of Avshalom , who even took his Father's Concubines ( as many concubines , as spear thrusts that were put into Avshalom at his death by King David's General , when Avshalom was running away and got his hair caught in a tree ) . Torah Talks of Hanging and so Avshalom faced the result of his own actions . Avshalom , who was a most beloved son of Dovid Ha Melech , where Dovid Ha Melech looked up to Avshalom at times , before his other sons ( like the Torah Parsha Tells us will happen ) , ended up hanging as he was riding away on his steed . The physicality of the whole story of the " Yefas Toar , " certainly came out in this happening with Dovid Ha Melech , for Avshalom spent much time on his looks and prided himself on his physicality , where he even became a Nazarite , not wanting to cut his hair , the very hair that ended up entangling him when he was fleeing from Yoav . The same physicality came out in his sister Tamar ( daughter of Ma'acha the " Yefas Toar " ) , who also prided herself on her looks , spending much time on her hair and physicality , which ended up attracting David's other son Amnon , where she was very over friendly with Amnon , beyond the Tznius of a part sister and the results were sadly very tragic , for Amnon wrongfully forced himself upon her at the end and so is the results of a " Yefas Toar , " - marrying a foreign woman just for her physicality . Such are the risks and dangers of going out from Holy Judaism . In the case of the rebellious son , this is the case where the son becomes a glutton and a drunkard and shows by his behaviour , that he must already be of an age to become accountable for Aveirahs and such actions at such an early age , show that when he becomes an adult , he will very likely get worse and commit robbery and so he is brought for judgement . Also is mentioned are the Laws with regards to hanging and the Jewish Laws of not leaving a body hanging over night , for it is an affront to HaShem , Whose Image , HaShem Gives to each human being . HaShem Then In The Parsha Teaches how we are to respect another's property and if we find an article belonging to our neighbour , we are to return it to them and if they are not near , we are to keep their article in our home until they ask for it and then return it . If we see the donkey of our brother or his ox falling on the road , we are to go and help ease the burden . Our Rabbis say that if we come across two people we know and their donkeys are struggling and one of the people we like and the other person we do not like , we are to help the one we dislike first ( the one that is a bigger attack on our Yetzer Horah ) . If it be a case of both people that we like , we are to help the one with the most burdened animal , for we are to be kind to animals . HaShem Commands That a man and woman shall not wear each other's garb . Such is an abomination to HaShem . HaShem Created each of us with our own special and specific roles in Creation and we are to totally respect that . Thus things that are known to be women's garments or of things they do for their own physicality , a man is forbidden to do and women are forbidden things that are pertaining to a man . HaShem Commands about the Chok of " Shiluach Ha Kein , " the Law of sending away the Mother Bird " And Then HaShem Commands us that if we are building a new house , we are to make a fence for the roof to protect anyone from harm . Such Is The Beauty Of Judaism , that we must not just think for the here and now or just for ourselves , but we are to act only in ways that always can lead to goodness and not act in any way that can later on , cause harm to others , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Commands us Again About our Holy Garments of Tzitzis and then the Sedra Talks of defaming a married woman . Torah then mentions the very heinous crime of Adultery , for faithfulness between a couple , is very important to HaShem , just like The Faithfulness that we are to keep to HaShem . HaShem Even Compares the two as being alike , in the beginning of the Book of the Prophet Hoseah . Faithfulness between a couple is so important To HaShem , That HaShem Even Allows His Own Holy Name to be erased in the test of fidelity and faithfulness , In HaShem's Law Of The Test of the Sotah . HaShem In Torah Then Discusses the Betrothed Maiden and the sanctity of Marriage and Betrothal . HaShem Cautions us not to behave like the other nations that at times married incestuously and even HaShem's Dislike and Law against the forbidden Marriage and those that come from it , are mentioned in this Sedra , where according to The Holy Torah , Mamzerim may not ever marry into the congregation Of HaShem . Nor are we to ever let a Moabite or Ammonite male ever enter into the Congregation Of HaShem , as a Jew , for the Moabite men made the plot to entice the Jewish People to sin using the women , this wicked plan put forward by Bilaam ; and the Ammonite Men , never showed us a drop of kindness when we Jews were coming forth from Egypt and they never even gave us bread and water . Kindness is to HaShem , Very Important and a Nation that displays no kindness , cannot be a part of the Jewish People . Our holy Fore-Father Avraham was known for his sweet trait of Chessed kindness , constantly offering wayfairers lodging and even had his tent open on all four sides so as to accommodate guests coming from all four directions and would offer them a meal and have them thank and acknowledge HaShem The One And Only True Creator . We are reminded to allow an Edomite ( our brother ) and an Egyptian ( in whose land we sojourned ) in the third generation , to allow them to enter into the congregation of HaShem . We are to keep our camps holy and pure , even of waste , to keep our Camp pure , For G-D Walks In The Midst of our Camp . Should a Slave be rescued from his master and thus escape his master to you , we shall not return him and we are to let him stay in our midst and not taunt him . Our Jewish women are to be holy and pure and not promiscuous , but they are to be filled with Tznius and modesty . We shall not take interest from our fellow Jew , not interest in money or food or even in emotional ways . When we make a vow , we are to keep to it , whatever emerges from our lips , we are to keep . We are also to respect the poor in our land and as Boaz did with Ruth and those whom he used to allow to glean in his field , we are to permit them to glean and pick up the fallen stalks or left bundles , or unpicked grapes left after harvesting . We are not to mix two kinds when planting and we are not to mix wool and linen in garments ( Shaatnez ) and we not to mix two kinds of animals . The mixing of garments among some of the other Laws are Chukkim , Laws that have a deeper reason for their keeping , a reason or reasons beyond just logic . Our Rabbis have put forward that a possible reason for the Law forbidding the mixture of wool and linen , may go right back to Kayin and Hevel , where Hevel Abel offered the firstlings of the flock , their choicest ( allied to the wool ) , while Kayin Cain offered the fruit of the ground - that which had already become overripe and that had already fallen on the ground , termed as fruit of the ground being allied to flax linen and so acts of generosity and selfless giving should not be mixed with acts of greed and selfishness . Also , the mixing of different species to make a new one , is very wrong , For The Way HaShem Made Creation , Is Perfect As It Is and with no more species needed in Creation , Than HaShem Created . HaShem Alone Knows all that Creation needs , to be perfect . HaShem Allows for Divorce and Gives the Laws regarding it and one that has divorced a woman , shall not after marrying another and divorcing her , return again to the first wife . A Husband who wants to divorce his wife , shall write her a " Get " - " A Bill of Divorce Document . " One is not to take a Millstone as a pledge , nothing that is the man's food , for it is like taking his life , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Feels Very Strongly about kidnapping another person and the punishment for that , is death . HaShem Strongly Warns us against Loshon Horah Slander , Reminding us That HaShem Gave us the Tongue and Mouth to speak words of Torah and Kindness and not to down talk and slander others , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Created the Creation Via Speaking And His Holy Hebrew Alphabet and so Speech is there to make holiness around us . HaShem Put the tongue behind the guard of the teeth , to keep it in check and so we must always watch our words . When we lend to someone , we are not to enter their home to take security for it , but must , with dignity for them , wait outside for them to bring the security and return it to them when the sun sets . We are not to cheat people and we are to always be honest to those working for us , native or proselyte and we are to pay them on their day . No man is to die for the sin of another . No man is to come to die for the sins of the World , For HaShem Tells us , " Father shall not be put to death because of sons , and sons shall not be put to death because of Father , a man shall be put to death for his own sin " Devarim Deuteronomy 24 : 16 . HaShem Forbids human sacrifices for the sin of others , for human sacrifices and ideas of a human dying for the sins of the world , comes only from and originates only from pagan beliefs . HaShem The One And Only Is our One And Only Savior ( Hoseah 13 : 4 and Isaiah 45 :21 ) . HaShem Commands That we Not pervert the judgement of a proselyte or orphan . Torah Commands about Lashes that need to be given and the amount by the count , not a single one more . We shall not muzzle the ox in its threshing , which would be cruel to prevent an animal working around food and wheat , to prevent it from nuzzling too . HaShem Then Commands about the Law of Levirate Marriage , where a man who dies childless , his brother is to marry his wife , referred to as the " Yevamah " performing " Yibum " , so as to bring up children in the deceased brother's name and if he decides not to marry her , a ceremony called Chalitzah - the Removing of the Shoe , is performed , for as our Rabbis say , he becomes like a mourner , not bringing up children in his late brother's name . HaShem Is Strict on the Laws of Embarrassing another And On keeping strict fair weights and measures and it is even an Aveirah to keep such things in the home , even if they are not used to cheat people . The Parsha ends with a reminder to Remember Amalek , who struck down our rear weaker ones when we had left Egypt and were on our way to Canaan . HaShem Says " And He ( Amalek ) did not fear G-D . " HaShem Tells us this , for at the time when we left Egypt , all the other nations at least acknowledged HaShem's Miracles And The Power Of HaShem , but Amalek did not , making light of HaShem And His Miracles . It was only Amalek that put HaShem Down as if trying to lessen The Value Of HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , which no one can ever actually do , for Amalek would like to try to completely eradicate HaShem from existence , Chas Ve Shalom , which they could never actually do and no one else could ever actually do . Thus Amalek , is a direct attack to G-D Himself And HaShem Has Made It A Direct Commandment To us Jews , to Remember what Amalek did to us ( which we fulfill just before Purim by reading these verses - that is a true story of Amalek and Haman , who wanted to wipe us out completely But HaShem Turned it around and they lost ) and we are never to forget . We are Commanded That Even When HaShem Has Given us rest from all our enemies all around , in the Land That HaShem Our G-D Has Given us as an inheritance to possess it , that we are to wipe out the memory of Amalek , from under the Heaven - we shall not forget . Had our first Jewish King , King Saul , listened to HaShem and destroyed Agag and Amalek totally , we would have overcome them long ago , but now we will have to wait until the End of Days , to destroy them , for their ' Sar ' - ' their defending Angel above , ' who is ' Samael , ' the Angel that tempted Chava Eve in Gan Eiden , will only be destroyed at the End of Days . Until then , we are Commanded to wipe them out , wherever they rear their ugly head . May it come soon in our days . So ends the Parsha . This Parsha is called Parashas " Ki Seitzei " - " When you will go out " and these words so deeply and aptly say so much , for when we go out from The Protection Of HaShem And His Holy Torah Laws , we will encounter much strife and problem . The first thing mentioned is " going out to war , " so when we go out from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , to foreign ways , Chas Ve Shalom , we will encounter war , of different types , strife and enemies will abound . We will then be enticed further from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , with their foreign ways and marry out of the faith and lose our Judaism , Chas Ve Shalom . This will surely lead to loss of our Land and possessions and we will become very wayward , drifting adrift without proper truth and direction , among wayward and rebellious people , who rebel even more against HaShem's Ways . And where will this eventually lead ? To hanging and death and burial . That is the result of " Ki Seitzei " - " Going Out " from HaShem And His Holy Commandments , His Holy Torah and His Holy Ways . Being enticed by worthless physicalities which lead nowhere . They have no long lasting worth and disappear with the wind . Destruction is their only result and that is as clear as can be . The following Parsha after this one , is called " Ki Savo " - " When you enter / Come in " and Speaks of the rewards for following HaShem And His Holy Torah And His Holy Commandments And His Holy True Path Of Holy Light . " Ki Savo " - " Coming in , " toward HaShem , brings us Light and Life , but as this week's Parsha " Ki Seitzei " teaches , going out from HaShem's Light , Chas Ve Shalom , leads us to Darkness and Death and Destruction . How Clear And Beautiful Is HaShem And His Holy Torah . The Choice , HaShem Gives To us . As we learned in last week's Parsha and in the week before , in Parashas Shoftim and Parashas Re'eh , that we are given a choice to choose the good or the bad , to correctly choose HaShem , or to wrongly choose negativity and here in this and next week's Parsha , the results of our choice , are most plain to see . A good choice leads us to HaShem , His Holy Light And Life Eternal , but a bad choice leads us to war and worthless physicalities , loss of the physical Blessings HaShem Blesses us With , a Home Land , homes and rights , our very selves and our True and Only Path To HaShem and a wrong choice sadly results in our complete loss of Life and our very destruction . The Right Choice leads to HaShem's Sweet Holy Light in Gan Eiden Shamayim . Torah Is HaShem's Holy Gift To us . It is our Lighthouse Home to The Shore Of True And Everlasting Light And Life . It Is our Passage Home To HaShem . Torah , just like the Clouds of Glory That Surrounded us and our Jewish Camp in the Wilderness , Is our Protection from the " Ki Seitzei , " - the results of what will happen if we Chas Ve Shalom " Go Out " from HaShem . While we were within the Clouds of Glory , We were Protected , but when we strayed , we left HaShem's Protection and as happened to those hinder-most outside The Clouds of Glory , they were attacked by Amalek . The answer is so clear and so sweet . We must always stay Within HaShem's Loving Arms And HaShem's Holy Gift Of HaShem's Holy Torah and then Gan Eiden will be our Final home With HaShem's Beauty And Sweetness And Love , Within The Loving And Protective Arms Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Most Beloved Most Holy HaShem With Everlasting And Forever Sweetest Love , A Most Beautiful And Special And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Forever Love and to all my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a most Beautiful and Special and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love .
