Parashas Ki Tavo :- The Shabbos Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas " Ki Tavo " and this Sedra is a beautiful continuation of the last Parsha , as I mentioned there , where in the last Parsha , " Ki Seitzei , " if one goes out from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , one removes oneself from Blessings , but if one " Ki Tavo , " Enters into or comes close to HaShem , then one brings oneself to Blessings and one Is then Sweetly Blessed By HaShem , The Source Of All Blessings . The Haftorah for Parshas Ki Tavo is Yeshayahu Isaiah 60 : 1 - 22 . This Haftorah begins by speaking of How HaShem Returns To us And Shines Upon us , which is such a fitting Response From HaShem , when we " Ki Tavo , " - " Enter Back Into , " HaShem's Commandments and Love . This Parsha begins , by telling us that when we " Ki Tavo , " - " Enter " the Land That HaShem our G-D Gives us , as an inheritance and when we possess it and dwell in it , that we are to take the First Fruits and bring them to the Place that HaShem Chooses , coming to the Kohein in the days we bring it and make the declaration that is written in this Parsha Devarim 26 : verses 5 - 10 . This was such a beautiful procession that people used to make to Yerushalayim , with their baskets . It was certainly such a special sigh to behold , as they walked in procession , playing their flutes and lyres and singing along the way. They needed be very careful not to stay within lodgings , along the way , lest there be contamination within the lodging , as this could , Chas Ve Shalom , contaminate their First Fruits , that they were bringing to Yerushalayim . There was even a special order in which they would pack their First-Fruits Bikkurim in the baskets . Chazal says that these Bikkurim comprised the seven species for which Eretz Yisrael is Blessed with , which are Grapes , Figs , Pomegranates , Dates , Wheat , Barley and Olives . As the procession neared a city , people in that city would joyously go out to welcome the travelers as they passed , with songs and dances and blessings . This would take place from city to city , until the procession arrived at the outskirts of Yerushalayim , when people from the Holy City would go out in lines , to welcome them . When the travelers come to the Temple , they were to make the declaration as stated , before the Kohein and so give their Bikkurim and thank HaShem for Watching Over us And For Making us a great and populous nation And Hearing our afflictions And For Taking us Out of Mitzrayim With a Strong Hand And An Outstretched Arm , With Great Awesomeness and With Signs and Wonders and Bringing us to Eretz Yisrael and Giving us This Land , a Land that flows with Milk and Honey , and so , with these beautiful processions , we could thank HaShem , for all His Bounty and Holy Goodness , when we would bring the Bikkurim of our Land That HaShem Gave us . The Laws of bringing Bikkurim , was such a holy concept , for , like Judaism , that it is a part of , it teaches how all things Come From HaShem , And HaShem Comes First , in all things , where a farmer , who waited years for his crops and fruit to grow , as soon as it does , and the first of the fruits blossom , he ties a ribbon around the branch to designate that blossom fruit as First Fruit , and so puts his own want aside and long wait for the fruit to grow , and Remembers HaShem First , To Whom , is due the First Fruits of his Blessings From HaShem . The travelers would spend the night in Yerushalayim and so , take in the Holiness of the Temple Surroundings , the Avodah Work of the Kohanim , and the Holiness of the Holy City . HaShem Then Speaks Of Ma'aser Tithes and the declaration made when giving Ma'aser . HaShem Wants us to be with Him , inseparable from Him , and thus must we be forever holy , keeping His Commandments And Statutes Always and forever walking in His Ways , observing His Decrees , His Commandments And His Statutes , and Hearkening to His Voice . HaShem Distinguished us to be for Him , a treasured people , As He Spoke To us , observing His Commandments , For HaShem Made us supreme over all the nations That HaShem Made ( Devarim 26 : 19 ) , for praise , for renown and for splendor , and so that we " will be a holy people to HaShem , our G-D , As HaShem Spoke . " HaShem Then Commands , that when we go over the Jordan , we are to set up large stones and coat them with plaster , and upon these stones , HaShem Commanded That we put on the stones , all the words of this Torah . That was quite a miracle , for to fit the entire Torah on these stones , was only a feat , That HaShem Could Accomplish . Our Rabbonim discuss this point in detail , and some think that it was the Taryag Mitzvos , the enumeration of the 613 Commandments of the Torah that were put on these stones . Other Rabbonim think that it may have been the Blessings and the Curses , that are still to follow in this Parsha . But , With HaShem , all things are possible and so , if Moshe was Commanded that all the words of this Torah , were to be inscribed on the stones , then HaShem Would Make it possible , that the entire Holy Torah , could be inscribed upon them . And so , As HaShem Commanded when we entered the Holy Land under the leadership of Yehoshuah Joshua With Help From HaShem , after we went over the Jordan , Yehoshuah Joshua obeyed HaShem , and this Commandment was carried out , and so these stones stood as a testimony that who ever enters the Land of Israel , is to strictly keep HaShem's Holy Torah and every Commandment within It , for these stones were put at the entry into Israel . Israel is to forever be a Land where its inhabitants keep the Holy Torah . That Is What HaShem Commands and we are all to listen . Our Rabbonim say , that the Torah was also , on these stones , put in all the 70 languages of the nations , so they too could follow HaShem's Word and know that staying in the Holy Land , meant strictly adhering to HaShem's Forever Unchanging Laws . Some of the people from the other nations came to view these stones at the time , and even copied or noted down the Laws written on them , for HaShem Tells us That His Laws Are Forever and all those who want to be faithful to HaShem , need to abide by HaShem's Wish . Our Rabbis teach us that these stones were coated with plaster just in case the other nations may come and try to change the Laws that were inscribed on them . It is only to HaShem And His Voice , that we are to hearken to and it is only HaShem's Laws And Commandments And Decrees , that we are to obey . HaShem Then Commands , that when we enter the Land of Eretz Yisrael , that we are to stand Six Tribes on Mount Gerizim to bless the people and Six Tribes on Mount Eival , standing for the curse , while the Levites remain down in the valley in between these two Mountains at the entry into Eretz Yisrael , and the Levites shall speak up and say to both the set of Six Tribes these proclamations that are in The Holy Torah , and the Tribes are to repeat the words written here in this section of the Torah , which was first said as a Blessing for those that keep the verse mentioned , and then said as an " Accursed , " for those who do not . Our Rabbonim teach us that these specific Blessings and Curses mentioned , are those that tend to be very easy to commit as Aveirahs , and that also , these specific ones mentioned , are also those Aveirahs that can be committed in secret , That Only HaShem Would Know , and seeing as Only HaShem Knows all , HaShem Would Thus Bring About the Blessing for upholding these , and the punishment for breaking these . So every one of us by doing this process That HaShem Commanded when entering the Land , has thus acknowledged to HaShem that we know that we will be Blessed By HaShem , for keeping His Commandments , and bring down upon ourselves a curse , should we stray from HaShem And His Commandments . It is after this section of this Parasha , That HaShem Mentions all the Brochas Blessings that will come upon us if we hearken to HaShem and His Commandments , and the Tochachah Admonitions, lest we do not listen to HaShem And His Commandments . The more we do not listen To HaShem , the more becomes our punishment , for the further away that we travel from HaShem , the colder we spiritually make ourselves , and the further away we go from HaShem's Blessings and Protection . Thus we ourselves , bring about the curse that comes by the path that goes away from HaShem's Commandments and Ways . We note that in history , so many of these Tochachah have taken place , and a lot of them took place at the time of Rome , when Rome came upon us after our kings strayed , for generations before that . HaShem Brought Upon us , at that time , the result of our negative choices , even though it was us ourselves by our own disobedience and actions , that took us away from HaShem's Loving Protection . But even though we wrong HaShem , And He Sends us punishments , within each punishment , even though we would Get Greater Protection From HaShem , if we would not stray , with HaShem's Merciful Love Always , there is a hidden Blessing even in our hardship and punishment , for in our exile as Jews , we can never be totally destroyed by our enemies , for when we are scattered , we can never be destroyed by a nation's antisemitism , for With HaShem's Help Always , we Jews survive there and elsewhere . We must also always remember that in our punishment , we get to atone for what we have so very wrongly done , and hopefully still get the opportunity to work off our Aveirahs and learn to be more obedient servants of our Beloved HaShem and so , be redeemed at the Eternal End Of Days . HaShem , With Moshe , ends the Parsha reminding us of how we have seen everything That HaShem Did before our eyes in Mitzrayim , to Par'o and all of Pharaoh's servants and land , and all the Miracles That HaShem Performed , and how HaShem Had Moshe lead us for forty years in Bamidbar , and Miraculously , From HaShem , how our garment did not wear out and nor did our shoes from on our feet , and how we arrived at this place where Moshe is speaking , on the borders of the Holy Land And How HaShem Saved us From Sichon and Og And How HaShem Gave us their land as an inheritance to the Reubenite , the Gadite and to half the Tribe of the Manassite . HaShem Through Moshe ends this Sedra by saying , " You shall observe the words of this Covenant , so that you will succeed in all that you do . " This is the secret to life , to observe forever , HaShem's Covenant and Laws forever , no matter how many others try falsely persuade us that things have changed , they have not . The Laws Of HaShem , The Torah of HaShem , is Forever and Ever , never to change . So ends the Parsha . As our previous Parsha and this Parsha teaches us , to go out from " Ki Seitzei / Teitzei " HaShem , is to bring upon us a lack of Brochas , but to come into and come closer to , entering into HaShem's Ways , " Ki Savo / Ki Tavo , " Brings with it , Bountiful Brochas . So again we are reminded of the choice put before us , that the last few Parshas have been teaching us . There is always a choice . If we follow HaShem , we Receive His Beautiful Blessings , but if we choose to turn away from HaShem , we are denied His Beautiful Bountiful Blessings . How Totally Fair Is HaShem . This choice has been given to us since the beginning of Creation When HaShem Created Heaven and Earth , a place for HaShem's Bountiful Blessings - Heaven , and a place of test and to earn Blessings , where on Earth , we get to choose positive or negative ways to live . The Choice is always before us - just like it was for Adam Ve Chavah , to either listen to HaShem and receive Shamaim Heaven or to disobey HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , and so , get punished and go into exile , further away from HaShem's Closeness , which is Earth . This choice From HaShem , has always been with us , since the Beginning . This choice was again clearly made to us when we entered the Land of Israel , and had to stand on two Mountains . The very names of the Mountains show us this . The Mountain on which was for the Blessings , was Mount Gerizim . The Hebrew word ' Garuz ' means , ' Greasing , ' ( Zilberman Dictionary ) and can refer to the Blessings of Oil that gets put on certain offerings and as we know , richness and abundance comes from the possession of Oil , as we know Asher's Tribe was Blessed with Olive Trees and Olive Oil , A Great Blessing From HaShem . Oil , like Olive Oil that is sweet , is also like being Showered With HaShem's Sweet Love . Oil is also reminiscent of the Holy Anointment Oil , which is as if to say , We Jews , if we keep HaShem's Commandments , We Are Blessed And Anointed Into HaShem's Holy Service . The other Mountain where the curses responded to , was Mount Eival , where , if we look into the Hebrew of this word , it spells , ' Ei ' and ' ' Bal , ' where ' Ei ' refers to the ' Eye of ' and ' Bal ' means either ' Do Not or Without , ' and ' the Hebrew word ' Be'lo ' ( Zilberman Dictionary ) , for being cursed , and not Blessed is certainly a reminder of the Things HaShem Said to us ' Do Not ' do , and not receiving HaShem's Blessings , is certainly being ' Without ' them .So here again , even on the Mountains that are peaks that would appear to be places that go higher , than the Valley in between , where the Levites would stay , even these Mountains names , give testimony to HaShem Telling us That if we listen to and hearken to all That HaShem Tells us to do and Keep HaShem's Commandments , then we will be Blessed , but if we disobey , and not listen to HaShem's Commandments , then we will most certainly lose the opportunity From HaShem , Of His Many Beautiful Brochas Blessings . We can either choose to step closer every moment to HaShem , or we can waste our lives , by straying , and thus waste the Beautiful Holy Opportunity for Life , That HaShem Has Given us . The Choice is ours and so is the result that follows it . So let us really choose wisely , and never waste a single moment of the life That HaShem Has Given us , to grow into the Holy Creations , That HaShem Made us to be , and forever , follow HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He , always with Love and Faithfulness , and so , do our part , in completing Creation's Intention for us , and so , be forever living , within The Everlasting Arms of HaShem , and in Gan Eiden and The End Of Days , with HaShem . Each of our steps , that we take can either lead to Shamaim Heaven , or away from it . The choice is and has always been ours . So let us make very sure that each step that we do take , always leads closer and toward our Beloved and Ever Loving HaShem . I wish HaShem With Sweetest And Deepest Love , a Most Special And Ever Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With So Much Love , and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Most Special and Ever Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love .

Parashas Ki Seitzei :- The Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Ki Seitzei and the Haftorah for this Parasha is in Yeshayahu Isaiah 54 : 1 - 10 . This Haftorah is one of the Haftorahs of comfort after the period of Tisha B ' Av , and Speaks Of HaShem Returning To us To Save us And HaShem Reminds us that we are not forgotten , And That HaShem's Kindness Will Not Be Removed from us And HaShem , Our One And Only Redeemer , Will Eternally Show us Kindness And Mercy , as a Jewish People . Our Parsha this Shabbos " Ki Seitzei , " begins by speaking of the " Yefas Toar , " - " The Woman of Beautiful form , " where a Jewish soldier goes out to battle , and while in the enemy's territory , sees among them , a woman , a foreign woman , not of Israel , not a Jew , a woman of beautiful form , among its captives and he desires her . The Sedra mentions that he can take her for a wife , but certain things need be done first . It was the way of the nations at the time , to dress their women up very beautifully in times of war , so as to attract and catch the eyes of the invading army's male soldiers . HaShem Understands That at a time of war , a man's Yetzer Horah may be heightened and so , Mercifully Permits him a way of overcoming it , But At No Time , Does HaShem Ever Agree With a Jewish Soldier doing this , for a true proselyte , is one who comes to Judaism , for the love of G-D , not for the physical-only love of a partner , as would be in this case , at a heightened time of war , which is only a physical desire , for the sake of physical reasons , which is certainly not a holy reason to become Jewish . We see that in this Parsha , the opinion of the " Beautiful form , " is only in the eyes of the man that is taken by what he sees and this is why , HaShem Commands That when she is taken back to the Israelite Camp , she is to shave her head and let her nails grow , thus making herself less desirable , in the hopes that the Jewish soldier's desire might lessen so that he changes his mind about wanting to marry her , for the possible reasons he may have wanted her , out of physical desire only , which is heightened in times of war , will hopefully dissipate when he sees her afterwards , away from the war situation , and with her less physically made up . She shall live in his house and mourn for her Father and her Mother for a month , and thereafter , be converted to Judaism and marry him , if he still desires to marry her . But if he does not desire marriage with her , then he is to send her on her own , and he may not enslave her or sell her as a slave , but he is at all times to treat her with respect . HaShem Wants us Jews to follow His Laws , and not seek out foreign women that will lead us astray to their own nation's idol worshiping ways . However , HaShem Looks Most Kindly , upon a true and genuine Ger Proselyte , who chooses with full love , The True Ways Of HaShem and Full Torah Judaism . HaShem So Much Respected the true Proselyte , That He Even Put The Sedra of The Ten Commandments , in the Parsha , of Yisro , who became a Righteous Proselyte . The case here , of a " Yefas Toar " - " A Woman of Beautiful Form , " surely teaches us many lessons , that we are not to just judge by the physical , but to look deeper , because Physicality Changes , but the goodness within , is the True Gem . HaShem , as I mentioned , Prefers that soldiers do not get taken in , by Physical Beauty , skin deep , but rather that the Jew and the Jewish soldier should keep holy , for the Jewish Army , is to be unlike other armies , where a lot of negative things take place in some of the secular Nation's armies . The Jewish Army , is to be different . The Jewish Army , is to be comprised of Learned Holy Men , like King David's general and nephew Yoav ben Zeruyah was , and careful selection would take place , as we learned before in Torah , about how the Jewish army was spoken to by the Kohein anointed for war , and officers , before they would go out to battle , for the Jewish Army , walked With HaShem Before them , and was to be most holy . So such an action of the " Yefas Toar , " was certainly not encouraged among the Jewish Army . Our Sages taught that a " Yefas Toar , " and the very action of marrying a " Yefas Toar " starts a roller - coaster of problems that lead to the very next Law mentioned in this Parsha , the case of possibly such a Father who married a Yefas Toar , putting the son of the woman that was a Yefas Toar , before his firstborn son , of the original wife , for he may have more physical desire for the new wife , and this then may lead to the next Law mentioned in the Parsha , the case of the wayward and rebellious son , who comes from the result of a " Yefas Toar , " marrying for physical desire reasons and not the right holy reasons , and this could then lead to hanging and burial of this resultant rebellious son , so teach our Rabbis , who tell us that this is possibly why HaShem Put these Laws one after the other , in the Torah . Such an idea , was certainly proved , in the case of the happenings of Dovid Ha Melech , who went out to war , and in fact , married a " Yefas Toar , " called Ma'acha , daughter of Talmai of Geshur , who was the Mother of Avshalom and Tamar . Exactly as Torah Teaches us in this Sedra of what will happen in cases like this , Avshalom rebelled against his Father King David , where everyday that King David would go and Judge the people , Avshalom would stand outside and turn the people away from his Father , and it got so bad , that Dovid Ha Melech and his wife Bas-Sheva and their son Shlomo had to run from their own palace because of Avshalom , who even took his Father's Concubines ( as many concubines , as spear thrusts that were put into Avshalom at his death by King David's General , when Avshalom was running away and got his hair caught in a tree ) . Torah Talks of Hanging and so Avshalom faced the result of his own actions . Avshalom , who was a most beloved son of Dovid Ha Melech , where Dovid Ha Melech looked up to Avshalom at times , before his other sons ( like the Torah Parsha Tells us will happen ) , ended up hanging as he was riding away on his steed . The physicality of the whole story of the " Yefas Toar , " certainly came out in this happening with Dovid Ha Melech , for Avshalom , spent much time on his looks and prided himself on his physicality , where he even became a Nazarite , not wanting to cut his hair , the very hair that ended up entangling him when he was fleeing from Yoav . The same physicality came out in his sister Tamar ( daughter of Ma'acha the " Yefas Toar " ) , who also prided herself on her looks , spending much time on her hair and physicality , which ended up attracting David's other son Amnon , where she was very over friendly with Amnon , beyond the Tznius of a part sister , and the results were sadly very tragic , for Amnon wrongfully forced himself upon her at the end and so is the results of a " Yefas Toar , " - marrying a foreign woman just for her physicality . Such are the risks and dangers of going out from Holy Judaism . In the case of the rebellious son , this is the case where the son becomes a glutton and a drunkard , and shows by his behaviour , that he must already be of an age to become accountable for Aveirahs , and such actions at such an early age , show that when he becomes an adult , he will very likely get worse , and commit robbery , and so he is brought for judgement . Also is mentioned , the Laws with regards to hanging and the Jewish Laws of not leaving a body hanging over night , for it is an affront to HaShem , Whose Image , HaShem Gives to each human being . HaShem Then , in the Parsha , Teaches how we are to respect another's property , and if we find an article belonging to our neighbor , we are to return it to them , and if they are not near , we are to keep their article in our home , until they ask for it ,then return it . If we see the donkey of our brother or his ox falling on the road , we are to go and help ease the burden . Our Rabbis say that if we come across two people we know , and their donkeys are struggling , and one of the people we like and the other person we do not like , we are to help the one we dislike , first ( the one that is a bigger attack on our Yetzer Horah ) . If it be a case of both people that we like , we are to help the one with the most burdened animal , for we are to be kind to animals . HaShem Commands That a man and woman shall not wear each other's garb . Such is an abomination to HaShem . HaShem Created us each , with our own special and specific roles in Creation , and we are to totally respect that . Thus things that are known to be women's garments or of things they do for their own physicality , a man is forbidden to do , and women are forbidden things that are pertaining to a man . HaShem Commands about the Chok of " Shiluach Ha Kein , " the Law of sending away the Mother Bird , " and then HaShem Commands us that if we are building a new house , we are to make a fence for the roof , to protect anyone from harm . Such is the beauty of Judaism , that we must not just think for the here and now or just for ourselves , but we are to act in ways that always can lead to goodness , and not act in any way that can later on , cause harm to others , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Commands us Again About our Holy Garments of Tzitzis and then the Sedra Talks of defaming a married woman . Torah then mentions the very heinous crime of Adultery , for faithfulness between a couple , is very important to HaShem , just like Faithfulness that we are to keep to HaShem . HaShem Even Compares the two as being alike , in the beginning of the Book of the Prophet Hoseah . Faithfulness between a couple is so important To HaShem , That HaShem Even Allows His Own Holy Name to be erased in the test of fidelity and faithfulness , in HaShem's Law Of The Test of the Sotah . Torah Then Discusses the Betrothed Maiden and the sanctity of Marriage and Betrothal . HaShem Cautions us not to behave like the other nations that at times married incestuously , and even HaShem's Dislike and Law against the forbidden Marriage , and those that come from it , are mentioned in this Sedra , where according to The Torah , Mamzerim may not ever marry into the congregation Of HaShem . Nor are we to ever let a Moabite or Ammonite male ever enter into the Congregation of HaShem , as a Jew , for the Moabite men made the plot to entice the Jewish People to sin using the women , this wicked plan put forward by Bilaam ; and the Ammonite Men , never showed us a drop of kindness when we Jews were coming forth from Egypt , and they never even gave us bread and water . Kindness , is to HaShem , Very Important , and a Nation that displays no kindness , cannot be a part of the Jewish People . We are reminded to allow an Edomite ( our brother ) and an Egyptian ( in whose land we sojourned ) in the third generation , to allow them to enter into the congregation of HaShem . We are to keep our camps holy and pure , even of waste , to keep our Camp pure , For G-D Walks In The Midst of our Camp . Should a Slave be rescued from his master and thus escape his master to you , we shall not return him , and we are to let him stay in our midst and not taunt him . Our Jewish women are to be holy and pure and not promiscuous , but they are to be filled with Tznius and modesty . We shall not take interest from our fellow Jew , not interest in money or food or even in emotional ways . When we make a vow , we are to keep to it , whatever emerges from our lips , we are to keep . We are also to respect the poor in our land and as Boaz did with Ruth and those whom he used to allow to glean in his field , we are to permit them to glean and pick up the fallen stalks or left bundles , or unpicked grapes left after harvesting . We are not to mix two kinds when planting , and we are not to mix wool and linen in garments ( Shaatnez ) and we not to mix two kinds of animals . The mixing of garments among some of the other Laws are Chukkim , Laws that have a deeper reason for their keeping , a reason or reasons beyond just logic . Our Rabbis have put forward that a possible reason for the Law forbidding the mixture of wool and linen , may also go right back to Kayin and Hevel , where Hevel Abel offered the firstlings of the flock , their choicest ( allied to the wool ) , while the other Kayin Cain offered the fruit of the ground - that which had already become overripe and that had already fallen on the ground , termed as fruit of the ground being allied to flax linen , and so acts of generosity and selfless giving should not be mixed with acts of greed and selfishness . Also , the mixing of different species , to make a new one , is very wrong , for The Way HaShem Made Creation , is Perfect as It is , and with no more species needed , Than HaShem Created . HaShem Alone Knows all that Creation needs , to be perfect . HaShem Allows for Divorce and Gives the Laws regarding it , and one that has divorced a woman , shall not , after marrying another and divorcing her , he shall not return again to the first wife . A Husband who wants to divorce his wife , shall write her a " Get " - " A Bill of Divorce Document . " One is not to take a Millstone as a pledge , nothing that is the man's food , for it is like taking his life , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Feels Very Strongly , about kidnapping another person , and the punishment for that is death . HaShem Strongly Warns us against Loshon Horah Slander , Reminding us That HaShem Gave us the Tongue and Mouth to speak words of Torah and Kindness , and not to down talk and slander others , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Created the Creation , Via Speaking And His Holy Hebrew Alphabet , and so , Speech is there to make holiness around us . HaShem Put the tongue behind the guard of the teeth , to keep it in check and so we must always watch our words . When we lend to someone , we are not to enter their home to take security for it , but must , with dignity for them , wait outside for them to bring the security , and return it to them when the sun sets . We are not to cheat people and we are to always be honest to those working for us , native or proselyte and we are to pay them on their day . No man is to die for the sin of another . No man is to come to die for the sins of the World , for HaShem Tells us , " Father shall not be put to death because of sons , and sons shall not be put to death because of Father , a man shall be put to death for his own sin " Devarim Deuteronomy 24 : 16 . HaShem Forbids human sacrifices for the sin of others , as pagan ways falsely would do . HaShem , The One And Only , Is our One and Only Savior ( Hoseah 13 : 4 and Isaiah 45 :21 ) . HaShem Commands That we Not pervert the judgement of a proselyte or orphan . Torah Commands about Lashes that need to be given and the amount by the count , not a single one more . We shall not muzzle the ox in its threshing , which would be cruel to prevent an animal working around food and wheat , to prevent it from nuzzling too . HaShem Then Commands about the Law of Levirate Marriage , where a man who dies childless , his brother is to marry his wife , referred to as the " Yevamah " performing " Yibum " , so as to bring up children in his name , and if he decides not to marry her , a ceremony called Chalitzah - the Removing of the Shoe , is performed , for as our Rabbis say , he becomes like a mourner , not bringing up children in his late brother's name . HaShem Is Strict on the Laws of Embarrassing another , and on keeping strict fair weights and measures , and it is even an Aveirah to keep such things in the home , even if they are not used to cheat people . The Parsha ends with a reminder to Remember Amalek , who struck down our rear weaker ones later after the time when we left Egypt . HaShem Says , " And He ( Amalek ) did not fear G-D . " HaShem Tells us this , for , at the time when we left Egypt , all the other nations at least acknowledged HaShem's Miracles and the Power of HaShem , but Amalek , did not , making light of HaShem And His Miracles . It was only Amalek , that put HaShem Down as if trying to lessen the value of HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , which no one can ever actually do , for Amalek would like to try to completely eradicate HaShem from existence , Chas Ve Shalom , which they could never actually do and no one else could ever actually do . Thus Amalek , is a direct attack to G-D Himself , And HaShem Has Made It A Direct Commandment To us Jews , to Remember what Amalek did to us ( which we fulfill just before Purim by reading these verses - that is a true story of Amalek and Haman , who wanted to wipe us out completely , but HaShem Turned it around , and they lost ) and we are never to forget . We are Commanded That Even When HaShem Has Given us rest from all our enemies all around , in the Land That HaShem Our G-D Has Given us as an inheritance to possess it , that we are to wipe out the memory of Amalek , from under the heaven - we shall not forget . Had our first Jewish King , King Saul , listened to HaShem , and destroyed Agag and Amalek totally , we would have overcome them long ago , but now , we will have to wait until the End of Days , to destroy them , for their ' Sar ' - ' their defending Angel above , ' who is ' Samael , ' the Angel that tempted Chava Eve , in Gan Eiden , will only be destroyed at the End of Days . Until then , we are Commanded to wipe them out , wherever they rear their ugly head . May it come soon in our days . So ends the Parsha . This Parsha is called Parashas " Ki Seitzei " - " When you will go out , " and these words so deeply and aptly say so much , for when we go out from the Protection Of HaShem and His Torah Laws , we will encounter much strife and problem . The first thing mentioned is " going out to war , " so when we go out from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , to foreign ways , Chas Ve Shalom , we will encounter war , of different types , strife and enemies will abound . We will then be enticed further from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , with their foreign ways and marry out of the faith and lose our Judaism , Chas Ve Shalom . This will surely lead to loss of our Land and possessions and we will become very wayward , drifting adrift without proper truth and direction , among wayward and rebellious people , who rebel even more against HaShem's Ways . And where will this eventually lead ? To hanging and death and burial . That is the result of " Ki Seitzei " - " Going Out " from HaShem And His Commandments , His Torah and His Ways . Being enticed , by worthless physicalities , which leads nowhere . They have no long lasting worth , and disappear with the wind . Destruction is their only result , and that is as clear as can be . The following Parsha after this one , is called " Ki Savo " - " When you enter / Come in , " and Speaks of the rewards for following HaShem And His Torah And His Commandments , And His True Path Of Light . " Ki Savo " - " Coming in , " toward HaShem , brings us Light and Life , but as this week's Parsha " Ki Seitzei " teaches , going out from HaShem's Light , Chas Ve Shalom , leads us to Darkness and Death and Destruction . How Clear And Beautiful , Is HaShem And His Torah . The Choice , HaShem Gives To us . As we learned in last week's Parsha and in the week before , in Parashas Shoftim and Parashas Re'eh , that we are given a choice to choose the good or the bad , to correctly choose HaShem , or to wrongly choose negativity , and here , in this and next week's Parsha , the results of our choice , are most plain to see . A good choice , leads us to HaShem , His Light , And Life Eternal , but a bad choice , leads us to war and worthless physicalities , loss of the physical Blessings HaShem Blesses us with , a Home Land , homes and rights , our very selves and our True and Only Path to HaShem , and a wrong choice sadly results in our complete loss of Life and our very destruction . The Right Choice , leads to HaShem's Sweet Light , in Gan Eiden Shamaim . Torah Is HaShem's Gift To us . It is our Lighthouse Home to the Shore of True and Everlasting Light And Life . It Is our Passage Home to HaShem . Torah , just like the Clouds of Glory , That Surrounded us and our Jewish Camp in the Wilderness , is our Protection , from the " Ki Seitzei , " - the results of what will happen if we Chas Ve Shalom " Go Out " from HaShem . While we were within the Clouds of Glory , We were Protected , but when we stray , we leave HaShem's Protection , and as happened to those hinder-most , outside The Clouds of Glory , they were attacked by Amalek . The answer is so clear and so sweet . We must always stay within HaShem's Loving Arms And HaShem's Gift Of Torah , and then , Gan Eiden will be our Final home with HaShem's Beauty and Sweetness And Love , Within The Protective Arms Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem , The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Most Beloved HaShem With Everlasting And Forever Sweetest Love , A Most Beautiful And Special And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Forever Love , and to all my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a most Beautiful and Special and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love .

Parashas Shoftim : - The Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Shoftim . This Parsha begins speaking of how we must Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " in all our cities . We are now in the month of Elul , approaching the time of year When HaShem Created Creation on the 25th of Elul and so , we look toward The Coming Of HaShem and His Moshiach , to bring on The End of Days , and we work up toward Rosh HaShanah on the 1st of Tishrei , by blowing the Shofar every day except on Shabbos . It was also on the first of Elul that Moshe went up Har Sinai to and came down 40 days later on Yom Kippur with the Second Tablets . We also blow the Shofar this month to confuse the accusing Angel , for at this time , our minds must look toward repentance , for it was on the 1st of Tishrei , that HaShem Created Adam ve Chava , on Rosh HaShanah . Thank You HaShem for such a Beautiful Creation . During This Time Period of the year , it is such a good time to teach about The End Of Days , Which Is HaShem's Wish of Where HaShem Had Set Creation in the Beginning to go toward , had Adam Ve Chava not disobeyed , and so had they not sinned , they would have gone into the Eternal Shabbos End of Days . May HaShem Come And Redeem us , And May HaShem Then Let us step into Olam Habah The World To Come . This Idea is seen in the Haftorah for this Sedra , which is in Yeshayahu Isaiah 51 : 12 - 52 : 12 , Where HaShem Says , " How beautiful ascending the mountains are the footsteps of the herald making heard , " Peace ! " heralding , " Good ! " making heard , " Salvation! " saying unto Zion , " Your G-D Has Reigned! " The voice of your lookouts , they have raised a voice , together they shall sing glad song , for every eye shall see when HaShem Returns To Jerusalem . Burst forth in joy , sing glad song together , O ruins of Jerusalem , For HaShem Shall Comfort His People ; He Has Redeemed Jerusalem . HaShem Has Bared His Holy Arm To the eyes of the Nations , and all the ends of the Earth shall see The Salvation Of our G-D . " How beautiful , will be the time still to come , May it Come Soon in our days , when all the Nations will finally see that The Jews were the ones , who followed HaShem Correctly and that all will see , from all the Nations , that HaShem Has Never Given up on Israel and That HaShem Maintains His Covenant With The Jewish People of Israel , Children of Avraham , and all Nations will see HaShem's Return to Yerushalaim Jerusalem , to His Chosen Jewish People , And His Long Awaited True Salvation Will Shine Forth , as the Haftorah says . Such is the beautiful future of all those , who keep To HaShem's Laws and Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " and ensure HaShem's Commandments are kept forever . HaShem Commands us to Appoint in all our cities , " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers , " and they are to Judge the people with righteous judgement . These Judges are not to pervert judgement , and not look to the Physicality of the plaintiffs before them , not to be swayed by a person's station or status in life , not to accept bribes , for " Bribes will blind the eyes of the wise and make just words crooked , " as our Beautiful Torah From HaShem Says So Very Beautifully . HaShem Commands that " Righteousness Righteousness shall you pursue , " and our Rabbis tell us that the word " Righteousness " is repeated to remind us that we are to seek Righteous , and to do that Righteousness , in a Righteous way . We are not to think that negative means can be used , to ensure Righteousness , but we are to , at all times , seek Righteousness , using only Righteous ways and never think that underhand tactics are to be used to make Righteous ways , and we are never to think ' Oh well , the end justifies the means , ' so we think we can do wrong things to ensure a Right result . Never must we think that . Righteousness must carry all the way through , cleaning the air , pursuing Righteousness by Righteous ways and means only . We are to pursue Righteousness , using Righteous Paths and Ways . HaShem Instructs us to appoint Judges in every city that HaShem Gives us and there are to be a minimum of 3 Judges in civil matters and 23 Judges in capital cases . There must always be an odd number , so that there can never be a tie in judgement . The Judges , when they Judge , as our Rabbonim say , are to realize that they stand in HaShem's Stead and are thus to imagine , that above their heads is a sword and below them is Gehinnom , and that they are to Judge very carefully , fully and properly and honestly . Such is to be the case with each city That HaShem Gives us , for each Tribe . All Capital Courts are to answer to the Head Sanhedrin , that consisted of 71 members ( like the 70 elders that HaShem Had Moshe choose and Moshe made up the 71 - Chabad source ) . Judges are to be fair and not look to the status of a man's standing in the community . All are equal . Dovid Ha Melech was so kind , that when a very poor litigant had to pay , he would afterwards take him aside and assist him , giving him the money he needed to pay his judgement , if this was a genuine poor person , but still he would Judge ever fairly . Witnesses too were tested , to make sure that they were honest witnesses and a witness who would lie to condemn another person wrongly , would receive the same punishment as the one he was trying to falsely condemn , would have received , had this false witness's testimony been accepted . Shlomo HaMelech , when he would go to Judge , would have six steps going up to his Judging seat , and as he would walk up each step , he would recite aloud , the Torah injunctions HaShem Gave for a Righteous Judge . At times he would have a sword brought into the Court where he sat , and it would be there to remind him of the weight that would be upon his head , that he must judge honestly , righteously and fairly , According To HaShem's Dictates . At times , he would keep this sword across his lap and hold the handle with one hand and the sword blade with the other , to keep him alert to the sharp end that is like the sensitivity he must display in judging . Near him , would be a scroll of The Torah , which would at times be in his hands , to remind him of The Holiness Of HaShem , For Whom , he was standing for . Dovid Hamelech , when he would go out on his horse , would always carry a Torah Scroll on him , so as to carry HaShem With him wherever he went . Such was also the Torah Law . HaShem Commands that also " Shotrim " - " Officers " be appointed , to ensure that the Laws are kept . HaShem Commands us never to plant an idolatrous tree ( which is what the nations who worshiped idols used to put near their places of idol worship ) , or any tree near the Altar of HaShem , and so , no tree was ever to be found in the vicinity of the Holy Temples . Nor are we ever to put up a pillar there , as the nations who worshiped their idols would put , for they would pour their idol worshiping pagan libations on it . So we were forbidden to put such things . HaShem Instructs That when we bring an Offering to HaShem , it is not to have a blemish , for this is an abomination to HaShem . HaShem Makes Clear , the punishment of anyone who is an idol worshiper , which is Evil In The Eyes Of HaShem . By the testimony of two or three witnesses , shall such an idol worshiper be put to death , the hands of the witnesses who witnessed the idol worship act , shall be the first to take action against the idol worshiper who has been judged so , and then the hands of the entire people afterwards to also carry out the punishment , for we are to destroy the evil from our midst . Each Jew is to stand up in this World , even if they stand alone , and work to correxct the wrongs they are shown . Each Jew , is to stand up and teach the World around them , of the correct Torah Path Of HaShem . Should a matter come that needs a Pasken - a Jewish religious Decision given from a Rabbinical authority or Rabbinic Judge , we are to go to the Kohanim , Levites , or the Judge who will be in our days , and get Judgement from them . Whatever the Head Beth Din Tells us in our day , in that generation that we live , we are we to abide by . We see here , How HaShem Has Given Over to our Rabbinic Heads and Dayanim , the power to make rulings , And By And According To HaShem , we are to listen to them , to those who are of our Jewish Court Beth Din . HaShem Has Authorized them to give Pasken - Decision , on Torah Law , in our time . We are not , in any way to deviate from what they tell us , for to disobey them , is directly forbidden By HaShem Himself , Who Gave This Very Law , In Torah , Directly In This Parsha - Devarim 17 : 8 - 13 . The Gemorrah ( as told by Ramban ) talks of a case with Rabbi Gamliel and Rabbi Yehoshuah , where Rabbi Gamliel gives a Pasken on the date of Yom Kippur , and Rabbi Yehoshuah disagreed and said that it was on the next day . Seeing as Rabbi Gamliel was the head , Rabbi Yehoshuah had to listen to him and so , when Rabbi Gamliel asked him to come the next day and carry his walking stick , something that would be forbidden on Yom Kippur , and remember that Rabbi Yehoshuah thought that the next day was Yom Kippur , nevertheless , Rabbi Yehoshuah was a strict Torah following Jew , and so , he put his own feelings aside , and did as Rabbi Gamliel Instructed him . Such Is The Holy Torah , As Commanded By G-D Himself , In This Sedra , that we are to listen to the Torah Leaders of our time - our Head Rabbis and Beth Din . HaShem Then Foretells , That the time will come , that we will look around at the other Nations and see that they have a king and we will request that we too should have a king also . This Prophecy From HaShem , did take place later on in years , at the time of the Prophet Shmuel , where our people requested to have a king . Shmuel was unhappy with us , for we are not like the other nations that have a human king , For HaShem Is our King . HaShem Also Instructs us On How this king is to be . The king of Israel , must be a Jew . He cannot be a foreign man , who is not our brother . He may not have too many horses for himself , for at the time , the most prestigious horses were from Egypt , And HaShem Did Not Want us to return that way . The buyer of the horses , would have to travel there and may want to settle , and this was forbidden for a Jew . The Jewish King was not to have too many wives , who will turn his heart astray and the Jewish King was not to increase silver or gold for himself . Saldy , Shlomo Ha Melech did increase horses and wives . His reasons may have been to mean well , but HaShem Knows Best . Shlomo , being very wise , reasoned that to keep good relations with Egypt and to increase his wives , as daughters of kings of foreign lands , would help keep the peace with those foreign lands . But HaShem Is Wiser , and even though Shlomo felt that he would not be swayed by their foreign ways , and hoped his wisdom would be enough to keep himself holy , he erred , For HaShem Knows All . If only he had listened to HaShem . So very sorry that he did not . The foreign wives brought idol worship into Israel , and even though he personally did not worship their deities , the very fact that he allowed it in , was written as if he had participated in letting them be . His very own first wife was an Egyptian princess , who , even though she converted , still retained within , the vileness of the idol worshiping ways of idolatry . In fact , when it came to the opening of the Temple , King Solomon had led to be built , his own egyptian born wife had given him something to drink that cast a very deep sleep on the king , who had at the time chosen to stop drinking wine till the inauguration of the Temple , and this was the first time he again had started wine , on his wedding night , and so , when she had gotten him asleep , she hung a large black top cloth above the bed , with jewels that appeared like stars and so , when he , in his semi-drugged state , partly awoke , she persuaded him that it was still dark and nighttime , and so he went back to sleep , while the Kohanim awaited him to come and open the Temple , for the keys to the Temple , he always kept closely to him , due to his love for Hashem , and thus this time he had lept it , like other times , under his pillow . When , after they waited and waited , and still he never arrived , they knew that something must be wrong , but seeing as he was the king , they could not disturb him themselves , and so , they called his Mother Bas-sheva , to call her son , the King , and she came and woke him up . King Shlomo , though he was wise , did not foresee What HaShem Sees and so , HaShem's Laws , are always there for our protection and must always be obeyed and listened to . Our history tells many beautiful stories of Shlomo Hamelech . One being the story of how Shlomo Ha Melech sent Benayahu , his very close friend to go and bring Ashmedai , the son of Lilith and Samael , both not good Angels , before Shlomo , so as to tell the whereabouts of the Shamir Worm , so that it could be used to cut the stones for the building of the Temple , for no iron implement was permitted on It . The story concludes , with how Ashmedai , managed to eventually remove Shlomo Ha Melech from the city , and how Ashmedai , the prince of Shaidim demons , changed his form into that of the king and took his place for three years , and the real King Solomon , he put far away , and no matter how many times the real King Solomon told people he was the real king , people never believed him . He eventually made his way to the City and told the Kohanim and those that were in charge of the king's affairs , to check the feet of the false king , who hadn't uncovered them to anybody for a long time , for the feet of demons are not like ours , and sure enough , so was Ashmedai exposed and held , swearing vengeance on Solomon for centuries , after Ashmedai , in the form of Solomon , had shown a worship of idols , to make it appear to have been the king , may Ashmedai and his ilk , be forever removed and wiped away from existence . It is always best to listen to HaShem , and not our own wants and thoughts for , we may mean well , but HaShem Sees And Knows All . HaShem Continues To Explain That a Jewish King must write for himself two copies of The Torah for himself and read it all the days of his life and keep it on him , so as to keep close to and to be forever reviewing HaShem's Laws and fear HaShem and keep HaShem's Laws , Decrees and Ordinances , so also that he not become haughty and think he is over his brethren , but rather to remain forever humble . Torah Then Talks of the Priestly Gifts and Torah Tells of not following false prophets , idols , idol worshiping ways , ways of the other nations who follow deities and man made sacrifices as deities or to burn the children to molech , divinations , fortune telling , astrology , omens ( lucky times ) or sorcery , animal charmers , or one who inquires of the ov or yidoni ( bones of a dead bird that the Nations used to place in their mouths and in a state of part consciousness , would speak things or omens ) , or one who consults the dead , for such vile things are abominations to HaShem . HaShem Instructs That He Will Send us Holy Prophets that carry His Word . We are to hearken to them . But HaShem Warns that a man or any creation , who claims to be divine , is an abomination of HaShem . A man , who preaches anything other than HaShem's Laws , yet makes out he speaks in HaShem's Name , or makes out he is divine , HaShem Says , " I will exact it from him , " a man that dares to speak in HaShem's Name , yet changes even a single Law of G-D , or who makes out the Laws Of G-D no longer apply , Chas Ve Shalom , or makes new ways or laws that G-D Never Gave , In His Torah , or who speaks in the name of foreign idols , or in the name of anything pagan , or in the name of any other belief , that deceitfully tries to take away from the Oneness of G-D , or from the fact that G-D Is Not and Never Will Be A human or come in human form ( Numbers 23:19 ; Hoseah 11:9 for G-D Is The One And Only Savior and is not and will never come as a man - Hoseah 13:4 ) , HaShem Will cause that supposed prophet or prophet or person , to die . HaShem Tells us , That we will know that prophet is false , when that prophet makes a prediction , and it does not come about , being able to be verified in the lifetime of those who hear it , to know whether it came true or not , so as to take it seriously or not . Such a prophet who is false in this way , is a definite word ( and proof ) , That HaShem Has Not Spoken Through this individual , for that prophet false , spoke with willfulness and so , we must not fear the words of him . So Speaks HaShem . HaShem Then Discusses the Cities of Refuge and the unintentional murderer who is to flee there . Roads to these cities always had to be kept smooth and accessible , and well sign-posted , so as to allow the person who is sent there , to get there easily , and be in less danger from the ' Goel Ha Dam ' - ' The Redeemer of the Blood , ' the family member of the unintentionally murdered party , who may decide to chase the unintentional murderer . If there was no family member who would be in this role , of the ' Goel Ha Dam , ' then the Courts would appoint one . But for an intentional murderer , we are not to pity him , but to Judge him and kill him , and destroy the evil from our midst . We are to preserve the boundaries of our fellow , which was actually a crime committed during the time of Noach , which was one of the reasons for the Mabul Flood , where people would encroach on their neighbor's property just small enough , to be below the amount that made it a crime in those days , but actually still a theft . A crime is a crime , whether big or small . Conspiring witnesses to a case , would be punished , with the punishment being that they would be ordered to see right , the one they conspired about , a life for life , tooth for tooth , hand for hand , foot for foot as the Court Judges , either Capital Punishment , or Civil Reimbursement . HaShem Teaches what we are to do when we go to war , how we must always first give overtures of peace and offer the enemy the opportunity to be at peace with us and live under the Laws of HaShem in our domain . A Kohein anointed for Battle - Mashuach Milchama must be appointed who is to talk to the people before the battle . Then the " Shotrim " - "Officers " are to ask who of those going out to battle has either built a new house and has not yet inaugurated it , who has planted a vineyard and not yet redeemed it , who has betrothed a woman and not yet married her and who is fearful or fainthearted , let these return home and not go out to the battle . The nations of Canaan are to be utterly destroyed , all the nations of the Canaanites , being the Hittites , Amorites , Canaanites , Perizzites , Hivvites and Jebusites , As HaShem Commanded us , for these nation's ways should never be followed , for their idolworshiping ways and practices were abominable . HaShem Also Instructs That when we go to war against a city , and besiege it many days , we are not to destroy its fruit trees . Then HaShem Instructed On the Law of the Eglah Arufah , where a man is found murdered on the land that HaShem Gives us , fallen in the field , and we do not know who smote him . Our Elders and Judges must go out and measure toward the cities around the body , and the city nearest must take a heifer on which no work has been done and that has not pulled a yoke , and it is to be pushed down a harsh valley , that cannot be worked or sown , and the back of its neck axed , in the valley . The Kohanim , the offspring of Levi , shall also come . All the Elders of that closest city , shall wash their hands over the heifer that was axed in the valley and state that " Our hands have not spilled this blood , and our eyes did not see it . Atone for Your People Israel That You Have Redeemed , O HaShem : Do Not Place innocent blood in the midst of Your People Israel ! " Then shall the blood be atoned for them . The Parsha ends , By HaShem Telling us , " But we shall remove the innocent blood from your midst when you do what is right In The Eyes Of HaShem . " We are a people from of old , even from the time of Avraham , of hospitality . It was Avraham , who always escorted a guest quite a way from Avraham's home . It is a Jewish Way , to ensure our guests are escorted and safe . Thus the closest city to the body , shows that this man was not escorted safely out of the city borders , seeing as trouble befell him . Thus , this man's safety was the responsibility of the closest city . So it is the closest city , who must perform this Law . We are a people unto HaShem , and great care must be taken with the Soul HaShem Gives us , for all day and all night , we escort our Soul within us , and so must we always act in a Righteous manner at all times , for we carry HaShem's Light Within us as The Most Special Guest Of All . So ends the Parsha . HaShem Instructs us to appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers , " in our cities . We are partly Physical beings , and so , need Physical Judgement and a Physical Officer to carry the work of the Court to ensure the Law is kept . We note that this Sedra Mentions " in all our cities " which teaches that a city that is not under Jewish care , but under Gentile Control , The Nation whose city is in it , must according to the Noachide Laws , ensure that a Court of Justice System be appointed . HaShem Wants us , in Israel , to have a Religious Court System , that follows strict Torah , and has Torah Observant Judges and Officers , both needing to be very knowledgeable in Torah Law to uphold our Country according to strict Torah Dictates . Transgressors of Torah , are to face the Religious Jewish Torah Court System , and so , be Judged and taken to account , by Judges and Officers in Cases , according to Strict Torah Guidelines , And So , Says HaShem , will we then live and possess the Land That HaShem our G-D Gives us . But where should " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " start ? Do they start in the Court or elsewhere . HaShem Commands us to Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " in all our cities , but I feel HaShem Has A Deeper Meaning . For Keeping The Law Of HaShem , does start with us , within us . HaShem Tells us in the first verse of this Parsha to appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " " Titen Lecha Bechol Sh'arecha " - " Shall we appoint in all our cities , " but the words , " Titen Lecha Bechol Sh'arecha " directly means " Appoint for you in all your Gates . " So HaShem Is Deeply Telling us , that we are to ' Appoint Judges and Officers for us Within us , within our own Gates , ' and what is the Gate of the Soul , if not the Physical body . So HaShem Deeply Tells us , ' Appoint within yourselves , " For you " - " Titen Lecha , " that your Physical Body that Gates the Soul , be unto you , a Judge and Officer from within . So HaShem Is Teaching us That we must be as the first start of that Law of " Judge and Officer , " by being a strict " Judge " of ourselves and be our own " Officer , " that ensures , that we keep HaShem's Commandments . That is where it starts . Within us , for us . It is up to us , to control the Yetzer Horah , and so be strict in putting our own wants and opinions aside , and be strict " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " and be a strict Judge over our own actions and choices , making Holy Choices , and being strict to carry them out , like a Judge and Officer of ourselves . HaShem Wants us to make the right holy choices . HaShem Gives us A Lot Of His Trust And HaShem Has A Lot Of love For us . We should surely then not let HaShem down , Chas Ve Shalom . So we , are to start within ourselves , and make ourselves our own " Shoftim Ve Shotrim , " and always keep on the Straight Path of Torah . Then can we work outwards , being a holy example to those around us , and teach them by example , to be holy too . If we do this , we can be holy carriers of HaShem's " Name " - " Shem " ( Hebrew word for name - pronounced as ' Sheim ' ) , and we see this in both words " Shoftim " and " Shotrim , " for the first and last letter of each of these words , spell " Shem " - " Name , " being the carriers of HaShem's Holy Name , from within us to the outside World , all working to bring on The End Of Days , the Time , When All Will Shine With The Light Of HaShem's Name , And HaShem , As our Haftorah for this Torah Sedra Teaches , Will Return In Love to Yerushalaim , May It Be Soon In Our Days , With The Love Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Most Beloved HaShem With Utmost And Deepest Forever Everlasting Love , A Most Beautiful And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Forever Love , and to all of my fellow Jews , and to all of Creation , a Most Beautiful And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love .

Parashas Re ' eh : The Shabbos Parsha is Parashas Re'eh . Here in this Parsha , Moshe continues teaching us HaShem's Commandments and Moshe so very importantly reminds us that we have a free choice in life , to follow HaShem's Commandments and do as HaShem Commands , and thus be within HaShem's Blessings , or to choose to disobey HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , and so bring upon ourselves a Curse . The very stepping away from HaShem , is a curse in itself and so brings about its own coldness , in a path away from HaShem . HaShem's Torah keeps us safe and protected in this World HaShem Gives . Torah Keeps us far away from danger and the pitfalls that are out there . A Torah Life , is an Eternal Life of Spiritual Brochas , Closer to HaShem . A Torah Life , should we choose it , is our trip Home to HaShem and His Beautiful Gan Eiden , His Beautiful Garden of Eden . Yes , HaShem Does Command us to follow Him , But HaShem Still Gives us the choice to choose the Right Path and earn our own Kavod and Brocha . The Haftorah for this Sedra is Yeshayahu Isaiah 54 : 11 - 55 : 5 where HaShem Tells us of the Blessings we will receive for being faithful and righteous toward HaShem . Also added to this Haftorah , is 1 Samuel 20 : 18 and 1 Samuel 20 : 42 for this Shabbos is Shabbos before Rosh Chodesh and in this case , this will be Rosh Chodesh Elul , the month in which Creation started , for it was on the 25th of Elul , That HaShem Said " Let there be Light . " During the month of Elul , we say every day Psalm 27 twice a day , right up until Shemini Atzeres , so well chosen , for it includes in the Psalm , a reference to the upcoming Rosh HaShanah , the day of the Creation of man and woman , a reference to Yom Kippur and a reference to Succot , and we blow the Shofar during this month of Elul , every day , except on Shabbos , for it was on the first day of Elul , that Moshe went up the Mountain of Har Sinai for the second Tablets , thus showing HaShem's Forgiveness For us for the sin of the Golden Calf , and so , when Moshe went up the Mountain , the Shofar was blown and so we continue to blow the Shofar the whole month ( Artscroll Siddur ) .Tradition also teaches us that we also blow the Shofar this month to confuse the Soton , the prosecuting Angel , so he will be confused on which day to bring his case about us to the Heavenly Court , for it is Rosh HaShanah that we are to blow the Shofar . This is thus certainly a month of Love Between HaShem and His Creation , the Month in which HaShem Started His Creation , An Action Of Beautiful Giving Love From HaShem To us , Giving us a Beautiful Creation Out Of Pure Love , and this is so sweetly shown in the very word Elul , of this Month Elul , where the letters of the word Elul , are also the first letters of the words of Shlomo Ha Melech's verse in Shir Ha Shirim 3 : 6 , ' Ani Ledodi Ve Dodi Li , ' - ' I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine , ' in reference to the HaShem's Love For us and our reciprocal love for HaShem . Moshe starts out the Sedra , with HaShem's Answer to life . He says , " Re'eh Anochi Notein Lifneichem Hayom Berachah U' K'lala , " - " See , I present you today a Blessing and a Curse . " This is the choice From HaShem for us all . The Blessing that we hearken to HaShem's Commandments today , which is every day , and the Curse and lack of Blessing , if we don't hearken to HaShem's Commandments , and if we stray from HaShem's Path , and follow other false idols and false deities and other beliefs , that are not in the Torah . Moshe mentions how , when HaShem Brings us to The Land of Israel , we are to deliver ( announce ) the Blessing on Mount Gerizim and the Curse on Mount Eival , where half the Twelve Tribes stand on one mountain and the other half , on the other , with the Levites between , in the valley . More details of this and what is to be said , is given in Parashas Ki Savo in Devarim Deuteronomy 27 , later on in the Torah . HaShem Cautions us to be careful to perform all the Decrees and the Ordinances that HaShem Presents To us . HaShem Tells us That we are to utterly destroy all the altars in The Land of Israel , where the nations worshiped their idols , on the high mountains and on the hills , for the nations would often put their idol on a mountain or hill where it would be Physically higher . In fact out of all the mountains in the Sinai region , it was only on Har Sinai , that no idol worshiping ever took place , unlike the other mountains around It . This was obviously one of the reasons for HaShem Choosing this Mountain . Har Sinai was a humble Mountain , not as tall as some of the other mountains in the region , and it's Spiritual Essence did not come arrogantly to HaShem , like the other mountain's Spiritual essences did , to try to be the mountain on which HaShem Would Come Down On . In fact , Har Sinai , humbly chose to quietly remain in the background , and so It Was Chosen By HaShem , For HaShem Wants Humility from His Creations . Torah Learning increases with one's humility . Torah Learning can only take place if one humbles oneself . HaShem Tells us that we are to break apart their ( the nations before us who resided in The Land ) altars , to smash their pillars and that their asherah trees shall be burnt in fire and their carved images are to be cut down and we are to obliterate their idol names from the Holy Land . Thus we are never to allow , into Israel , any other belief but HaShem and His Torah . All other foreign ways and beliefs are , According To HaShem , to be obliterated from the Holy Land . It must be a Land For HaShem Only and His Torah Laws , So Speaks HaShem , at the start of this very Parsha . From this time , As HaShem Commands , when we come into the Holy Land , we are no longer permitted to use private Altars , but we are only to come to the Main Altar in the Place Chosen By HaShem , Who Gives To His Kohanim the right of the Altar Service , only at that Place of HaShem's Choosing , in reference to the Temple and Tabernacle , where only There , may Offerings be brought , to the Kohanim and Altar . And then , we may eat that which is permitted from the basar after the Offerings , from what we bring . But Blood and the eating of blood is totally forbidden , as given also in Vayikra Leviticus 17:11 . It was the practice in those days , for some of the other nations to drink blood and also as a ritual for some of their idol worshiping ways , including the Egyptians , where we Jews spent many years in slavery . Such practices are totally forbidden . HaShem Commands us with regards to Tithing and Offerings and how we are to Set aside Maaser Rishon and Maaser Sheni , and Maaser Ani and the different Tithes . Maaser Sheni , and the Sacred Food from it , as this Maaser , is to be eaten only in Yerushalayim , which would bring a person to Jerusalem and they would gain in the Beautiful Essence of The Holiness of Yerushalayim and by being around and viewing the Holy Avodah of the Kohanim and the Temple Services and how this would , within them , help them to learn more and get deeper into Torah and Judaism , bringing them closer to HaShem . HaShem Warns us Through Moshe , that we are to safeguard and hearken to the Words HaShem Commands us , also that it be well with us and our children after us forever , when we do what is good and right In The Eyes Of HaShem our G-D . In HaShem's View , not just in our view , for we really don't know ourselves what is totally right , for we each have different moral standards , And Only HaShem Is The True Judge And HaShem's Ways And Commandments , are the only True Right Path . How true that is , for so often do we make our own ways and thoughts to do what we think is right in our own judgement of what is good and right , But HaShem Knows Best what Is Good And Right , and so , we must abide by what is Good and Right By HaShem And His Laws , and not by our own thoughts and ways , or the ways of other people and their beliefs . It Is HaShem , And HaShem Alone , To Whom , we must abide and listen . It is HaShem , And HaShem Alone , Who we must follow , no matter how logical we may think or believe something of our own ideals may be . If it in any way contradicts What HaShem Says In His Laws , That He Tells us Are Forever and will never change , then we are to disregard those others that try abrogate and cancel HaShem's Laws , Chas Ve Shalom , and we must disregard those that Chas Ve Shalom say , HaShem May have made new ones , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Tells us Over And Over Again , how His Laws must be obeyed , how they will never change and how they are to be kept Forever . Our own logic is too minute and small and close-minded , to be the truth , for we see so little of everything And Only HaShem Himself Knows All and what is necessary for Creation . Thus we must put our own wishes and desires and logic aside , for we do not even see a speck of the whole picture of What Truly Is . HaShem Does And Sees all . It is only to HaShem And What HaShem Says Is Good And Right , that we are to abide by and follow . HaShem Tells us Clearly In His Torah That we are never to copy any of the ways of the other nations , not in their way of praying , not in their way of following their belief and not in the rites that they use to follow their beliefs . HaShem Forbids us to pray to anyone or anything else but Him , For HaShem Is The Only And Forever Only G-D And Savior ( Hosea 13 : 4 ) . Anything that has to do with a way in which the other nations serve their beliefs , we are not allowed to do . As HaShem Says in this Parsha , " You shall not do to HaShem , your G-D ( How these nations worshiped their gods or beliefs ) , for everything that is an abomination of HaShem , that He Hates , have they done to their gods , " for HaShem Warns us , " lest you be attracted after them ( their ways and or beliefs ) , and lest you seek out their gods , " thinking to do the same , as the nations do and their beliefs , such is an abomination to HaShem . Only HaShem The One And Only True G-D are we to follow . Only to HaShem are we to pray and only HaShem and no intermediary , are we to Listen to and pray to , For HaShem Alone Is The Only Savior , as HaShem Says in Numbers 23 : 19 and Hoseah 11 : 9 and Hoseah 13 : 4 and Isaiah 45 : 6 - 7 for as Isaiah Was Told in Isaiah 45 : 20 - 21 , there is no G-D but G-D and No Deliverer but G-D , and the belief that the nations think will save them , HaShem here in Isaiah 45 : 20 states clearly that they pray to a deity that will not save them . Only HaShem Saves and it is Only To HaShem that we must pray to and not through anyone or anything else and not through any intermediary , for G-D Is G-D and not a man or a son of man As HaShem Clearly States In His Torah in Bamidbar Numbers 23 : 19 . How interesting that in Torah in this Parsha , just after this , HaShem Warns us of the False Prophet , who comes and makes miracles or signs or makes a prediction of something that something will come about and it does , yet claims a new belief or idea , that is not As G-D Told us to do , or comes and tries to change in any way shape or form , the Commandments Of The Torah Of HaShem , or in any way , shape or form , tries to come and make out that any Law of the Torah of HaShem , has now changed or no longer exists , or tries to bring new concepts about more parts to G-D or as paganism used to do which came and made out any form of false human deification , or any form of false prophesy that the Bible before prophesied such a coming , which HaShem Told us it wont ever be , we are to disregard such a belief , so Says HaShem And So Says HaShem So Very Clearly In This Parashah . HaShem Warns us , not in any way , to hearken to the words of this individual , no matter how many signs this individual gives or shows , For HaShem , Tells us In This Very Parashah That He Is Testing our faithful Love , for Him Alone , So Hashem Says , In His Holy Torah . We are not to listen to this claimed false prophet . We are to serve Only HaShem And His Torah That HaShem Has Told us Many Times , Will Never Change And His Laws As He Gave Them , Are Forever Eternal . HaShem Calls such a false prophet , who brings up any new idea , or tries to use our Torah to prove his existence , by changing the meaning of the original Hebrew Words , to make it appear as this false prophet says , HaShem Calls such an individual , a perversion against HaShem Our G-D , for such a false prophet , tries to get us to stray from the Path That HaShem Has Commanded us to stay on , and so must we destroy this evil from our midst . When HaShem Came Down on Mount Sinai , And Gave us His Torah Commandments , this was witnessed by millions of our people , not to mention all the Jewish souls still to come , including the 600 000 of our people between a certain age . No other belief can claim such a revelation , for others only claim an observance possibly seen by a made-up select few . Torah Is The Truth And HaShem Is The Only G-D And Savior and It Is Only His Laws That we are to follow And HaShem's Laws Are Eternal And Forever as it says so many times in The Holy Torah - Devarim Deuteronomy 29 : 28 ; 4 : 40 and 11 : 1 and 12 : 1 ; Bereishis Genesis 17 : 12 - 13 ; Shemos Exodus 12 : 14 , 17 ; 31 : 12 - 17 ; Vayikra Leviticus 3 : 17 ; 23 : 27 - 31 , 41 ; Bamidbar Numbers 15 : 38 and also 2 Kings 17 : 37 and 2 Kings 21 : 8 and Tehillim Psalms 111 : 7 - 10 and Joshua 1 : 7 - 9 . HaShem Even Warns us That we must take action against such a person , a false prophet , even if that person is a member of our own family and also if it is a whole city , a wayward city . We are to destroy the evil from our midst . HaShem Tells us that we Jews are a Treasured people unto HaShem . We are not to cut ourselves or make a bald spot as the nations used to do for the dead . We are not to eat any abomination and HaShem Tells us what is permitted and what is forbidden to be eaten . HaShem Names four animals that are forbidden , three of which bring up the cud but do not have a fully split hoof , being the camel , the hare and the hyrax , and the fourth is compared to Edom , being the pig , that has a split hoof as if to show it is ok , but inside is far from Kosher , for it does not bring up the cud . Scientists have for many years traveled the World to find other animals besides these four that have these specific traits , but were unable to , which surely shows The Truth Of HaShem And That HaShem Wrote The Torah , For Only HaShem , The Creator , Would Know All That He Created And Would Have Known That In All Of His Creation , There Exists Only these four like this , And Only HaShem Could Have Told us This Through Moshe , For Only HaShem Could Possibly Know This . HaShem Also Explains what water creatures Are Kosher , that have fins and scales and also what birds are Kosher . HaShem Also Talks of the Tithes . The very separateness of Kashrus , keeps us Jews Kosher . HaShem Then Teaches about the remission of loans and how we must help our fellow . Then HaShem Teaches of the Jewish bondsman or bondswoman and how after six years we are to lavishly set them free and treat them as we treat our fellow and as we would want to be treated . Our Rabbonim say that if we have a Jewish bondsman and we only have one cushion , we are to give him the only cushion we own , for him to sleep on . HaShem Then Talks of the Pilgrimage Festivals of Pesach , Shavuos and Succos and the Laws appertaining to them and ends the Parsha with how we must three times in the year , come and appear before HaShem our G-D , in the Place HaShem Chooses , on these above mentioned Festivals Yomim Tovim , and that we are to bring our offerings as HaShem has Blessed us and Given us . A most beautiful procession was made to Yerushalayim in days of old , may it come again soon and may our Holy Temple Be Speedily Rebuild in our days . So ends the Parsha . This Parsha of Re'eh , as I mentioned , Gives us a choice , From HaShem , where we can either do as HaShem Commands us To Do and be Blessed , or disobey , Chas Ve Shalom , and be Cursed . HaShem Wants us to Live . HaShem Wants us to be close to Him . HaShem Created Creation As A Blessing Of Giving , For us . So HaShem Desperately Wants us To listen and Obey Him , and so , Receive His Beautiful Blessings . The very act of disobeying Him and thus putting ourselves in the position not to receive His Blessings That He So Deeply Wants To Give us , is in itself a Curse that we bring upon ourselves , for not receiving His Blessing because of our bad actions , is like a Curse . HaShem Uses the word " Re'eh " - " See , " When HaShem Asks us to choose , for it is our own eyes that can desire the negative and thus cause us to be deprived of Brocha . So HaShem , In Mentioning the eyes that " Re'eh " - " See , " Is Giving us the answer to protect ourselves from the negative and protect ourselves from that which would pull us away from listening , and that is that what we see , we want and what we want , we desire . So if we turn our sights away from what is forbidden , and look to and do only What Is Commanded By HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He , we Will Be Helped in Keeping HaShem's Commandments and so , Receive The Blessings That HaShem So Wants To Give us . But if we make light of and take very lightly , which in Hebrew is the word ' Kal ( like the word " K'lalah " - Curse " ) , we will bring down upon ourselves , the very result of the road we chose , and deprive ourselves of HaShem's Blessings , which is like a Curse . Within the word " Re'eh " is the word ' Rah ' - ' Bad ' for if we look toward our own desires and disobey HaShem's Laws , we do ' bad . ' But if we Obey HaShem , And " Re'eh , " - " Look " toward HaShem And His Laws , Then HaShem Will Lead us , by our own choice , toward the ' Ohr ' - ' Light ' ( also within the letters of the word " Re'eh " ) , and so we will have chosen the True Path of Light to HaShem . The Free Choice Is There For us to choose . We must always " Re'eh " - " Look " toward HaShem and we must always " Re'eh " - " Look " toward HaShem's Commandments . Doing so , will Lead us to The End of Days , where we will go with Moshiach ( Gematrical value of 7 ), into the World to Come , and that stage after Moshiach , into the Spiritual , brings us into the level of 8 , which , is the Gematrical Value of the word " Re'eh . " ( 200 + 1 + 5 = 206 and 2 + 0 + 6 = 8 ) . HaShem So Desires To Bless us With His Blessings And He Only Punishes us For our own good . HaShem Wanted A World At The Beginning , That Was Filled With His Brochas Blessings , So His Desire Is that we obey Him , And That He Bless us . We have been given the choice so that we can have the opportunity to choose the Good and thus earn Rightfully , and grow towards the Blessings That HaShem Holds In Store For us , To Shower us With . The whole of Creation is a Blessing From HaShem , in all its Myriad Beauty . We " Re'eh " - " See " His Blessings In The Myriad Beauty He Created And Continues To Create . All we need to do is open up our eyes , A Wonder Of HaShem , in itself , for with the eyes , we can see light-years into Space , and just " Re'eh " - " Look ", at The Many Things Of Beauty That HaShem Created And Creates . So little Does HaShem Ask Of us , And So Much Does HaShem Give us every day . So let us choose to follow HaShem , His Way , following HaShem's Torah Commandments , Which Leads us to ' True and Everlasting Life ' - the True Form of Life , that is with HaShem And HaShem's Torah . Let us forever be grateful and thankful and appreciative to our Wonderful And Most Beautiful HaShem , Who Blesses us daily With So Much , And What HaShem Asks For , To keep His Commandments , is One Of The The Greatest Blessings Of All , For HaShem's Commandments Are There To Help us , And To Bring us To HaShem In Love And Light And Peace , And So , Showers us With Even More Blessings Beyond our dreams and anything we could possibly imagine , In The World To Come , In Total Peace And HaShem's Tranquility , climbing ever higher and closer toward our Most Beautiful Blessing Of All , our Beloved HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem , The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish HaShem With Forever Everlasting Sweet Love , A Most Beautiful And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh And Chodesh Tov Elul With Everlasting Forever Love , and to all my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Most Beautiful and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh and Chodesh Tov Elul with love .
