Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Chayei Sarah.
Sadly, this Parsha starts with the passing of our dear beloved Sarah.
Just when Avraham was happy and content that his son was still with him after the Akeidah, he returns to the saddest news. His beloved wife has passed.Such is the life of the Jew. Just as he is happy, something negative comes to hurt. We see this in our present day, while Jews are happily preparing for the Shabbos, when suddenly the news of an arab intefada hits, where arab terrorists are lighting wild fires in our Holy land. This is the traverse of the Jew throughout history. If only we would listen to Sarah's words who warned us about Hagar's son and progeny that their hand would be against all. Nine Eleven in America still rings pain among those who had families in that tragic terror attack. Sarah warned us and we need to be aware. Throughout History in our happiest times, the hurt of our people came to remind us that only in Mashiach's time will we all be truly safe. Our history back centuries is a sad reminder of man's inhumanity to man.For example, while we were celebrating happy joyous Chasene's (Weddings) in Lithuania, the Tzar's elite were burning down our houses and attacking our Torah Scrolls and people, women and children , in their horrific Pogroms. When in German society, our people were reaching higher positions, along came hitler to remind us we are Jews and was responsible for Six Million One Hundred and Twenty Three Thousand of our deaths,on their anti-Jewish souls, may Gehinnom be. This has been our lot as Jews through the centuries. Now we have to watch our Holy Land burning because of murderous killers who know nothing of G-D's Truth.
So, in the life of a Jew, at the time of happiness, has come misery so many times. We , at the time of our Wedding Celebrations, break a glass, to remember the Destruction of our Holy Temples and also as to remind us that we as Jews will only be truly happy at the End Of Days at the Rebuilding of our Third and Final Holy Temple.
Avraham, the Jew, too suffered the pain of trials and tribulations at the time of his happiness. He came home to find his beloved wife Sarah had passed away.
When Sarah had awoken on the morning that Avraham had left for the Akeidah, she awoke not knowing where her beloved son and husband had gone. She heard that Avraham had taken him on a journey. It was at the very moment that Avraham had raised his hand to offer Yitzchak on the mountain that Og, the Giant had told her to look from afar for he had taken her up to a high mountain and she saw ( because of Og ) that her son was about to be slain . The shock of it was too much for her , something she wouldn't have seen had it not been for Og ( who wanted her for himself and wanted to distance her from Avraham ) , and so, the shock of this sight is what caused her to pass away.
Our Sages suggest a reason of why this came upon her, as going back to the time where she asked HaShem to judge between him (Avraham) and her , which was a wrong action. The actions of the most Holy, need only be very small wrongs and they face greater response due to their greater holiness. We saw this with Moshe who could not enter the Holy Land due to the fact of striking the rock.
So Avraham came home to the sad passing of his wife.
We see in the beginning of this Parsha that Sarah died in Kiriath Arba which, translated, means 'The City of Four.' This refers to the four giants - Arba and his three sons (Ahiman , Sheshai and Talmai ) whom Israel defeated there, that lived there and also prophetically, to the four holy couples who were to be buried there in the Cave of Machpelah in Mamre in Chevron - Adam Ve Chava, Avraham ve Sarah , Yitzchak ve Rivka and Yaakov ve Leah. This name Kiriath Arba also was the original name of Chevron as we see in the Book of Judges 1:10.
Our Parsha starts telling us of the passing of Sarah using the word 'Chayei Sarah ,' which means ' The Life of Sarah.' A very strange way to start telling us of her passing. HaShem had a specific reason for putting it this way and this explains a secret to life and death. What is death to us, is not the real picture, for we don't see the true reality. We are too small and too insignificant that we only see a minute part of things. The birth and death of a person is simply the continuation of spiritual life on that person's spiritual journey toward HaShem . So when one dies Chas Ve Shalom ,, the soul does not, but continues on its journey, ' living' and growing in holiness. We may not see this, but, this is what happens. Thus dying, is just another part of 'Chayei' - 'Living and Life.' At the end of Days, this will be clearer and better understood as life becomes eternal. When a person passes, it is spoken of that they got an Aliyah, which means that they 'Go Higher,' in their 'Spiritual Climb toward HaShem .' Thus, they continue living still on their spiritual journey toward HaShem , but just into the next step of 'Chayei '- 'Living.' For this reason, did HaShem write about the passing of Sarah with the words 'Chayei Sarah,' - 'The Life of Sarah,'. For Sarah was 'passing' on to her next stage of Spiritual Aliyah Climb.
It is also interesting how the Torah splits up her age as being One Hundred and Twenty and Seven years , which shows that she was as pure and righteous and beautiful at One Hundred and Twenty Seven years ,as she was at One Hundred years and she was as pure and holy and beautiful at a Hundred years as she was at Twenty years and she was as pure and beautiful and holy at Twenty years at she was at Seven years before a person even sins. The same is done for Avraham's passing at the end of this Parsha and shows the same about his holiness and purity and righteousness.
We note in this Parsha that Avraham is very clear about the specific burial site he wants, in the Cave of Machpelah near Mamre in Chevron . Why this particular site? The reason for this goes back to an incident in Avraham's life when he was preparing for the three angels and an animal ran away. In trying to get it, it ran into this particular cave of Machpelah and it was here that Avraham smelt the sweet pure fragrance of Gan Eiden and knew that this cave held a spiritual pathway to the Garden of Eden close to HaShem . So , for this reason, Avraham purchased this particular place , allowing his beloved wife to have her Aliyah close to HaShem . The amount he had to pay to Ephron the Hittite was so exorbitant that it was in that day and age ,a salary of forty years worth of work, but Avraham secured this for Sarah and for our people as ours, for all generations.
Our Parsha talks of the 'Life of Sarah,' also because people continue to live through their children from generation to generation and it is in this Parsha that Avraham called his faithful servant Eliezer to return to his wife's family to find a wife for Yitzchak.
Eliezer puts his own feelings aside of his own daughter whom he wanted , to marry Yitzchak , for faithful love of Avraham and so, goes to the home of Bethuel where at the well, after making his test of the girl who shows a deep kindness,in giving his camels water as well as him, showing that this true Chesed fits the family of Avraham, so does his test come to fruition, where Rivka , of the family of Bethuel, comes to the well and fulfills unknowingly, his test.
And so, the next generation comes , as a worthy continuation for the true 'Chayei' - 'Life of,' Sarah and Avraham , as the new worthy holy couple to continue the family of the Jewish people .
Every day, we face new light, new paths and new choices. It is only if, in all we do and choose, we make sure that we always look upward and travel toward HaShem, that we will truly 'Chayei '- 'Live.' A life without HaShem , is a life of no worth and as such not a life at all. To meander through life in the physical, is not life at all. Only by living according to HaShem's Commands and Wishes, can we be assured of true purposeful living. HaShem is the True Source of Life and to turn away from the Source of Life, to the physical or one's own wishes, is not a life at all, not connected to the True Source. That empty feeling so many feel can be solved by reconnecting to HaShem , The Source of Life.
Our Beloved Sarah and Avraham lived every moment for HaShem and thus, they are described at their passing as 'Chayei,' - 'The Life Of,' for such souls continue to live eternally in the form of true 'Life,' as well as them living every day to the full spiritually , traveling toward HaShem , keeping Shabbos and all HaShem's Laws that watch over us always .
So every day, every moment that HaShem gives you, make sure to connect yourself always to HaShem , The True Source of Life , making every day that you breathe , a day of Aliyah and a step up toward Heaven - a step up toward HaShem .Let your path always be Torah and your destination , always HaShem , HaKadosh Baruch Hu , The Holy One Blessed Be He.
With love to HaShem, I wish HaShem with love, a special , beautiful and sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all, a sweet , special and beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love.

Parashas Vayera
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Vayera.
Avraham Avinu has just had his Bris Milah - Covenant of Circumcision and it is now the third day afterwards , which is the most painful day and HaShem 'Vayera,' - 'Appeared,' to Avraham at Midday-' K'Chom Ha Yom ,' - 'In the Heat of the Day,' when the Sun is highest in the Sky (from the Earth's point of view).' Our Sages tell us that HaShem specifically uncovered the full force of the Sun, so that it would be more hot-thus the 'Heat of the Day.' HaShem did this for two reasons. The first one was that Avraham was known as a man of true Chesed - Kindness , and would have wanted to do as he usually did, which was to show hospitality to guests. To allow Avraham to rest and heal from his circumcision, HaShem specially made it more hot, so that no travelers would not want to go out into the heat where Avraham could invite them in , so he ( Avraham ) could have time to rest and heal without having to wait on guests which was Avraham's usual practice .The other reason for HaShem making it so hot, was that the heat aided in Avraham's healing.
But Avraham being the man that he was, got more emotionally sad than physically pained from his Bris Milah ,that he couldn't show Chesed - Kindness and promote HaShem's Oneness to the World, so HaShem decided to visit Avraham, Himself . We learn from this how important it is to do 'Bikkur Cholim,' - ' Visiting the sick.' Thus HaShem came to visit Avraham .
When HaShem Appeared, Avraham wanted to stand for HaShem (no matter how painful it would have been, but HaShem told him to remain 'sitting.' We see this, in the unusual word that the first verse of our Parsha uses for describing Avraham sitting. The word used is 'Yosheiv,' where , 'To Sit ' would have been the word 'Sheiv,' yet here, the 'Yud,' denotes HaShem , for as Avraham started to rise , He, HaShem told Avraham to sit, thus the 'Yud' in front of the word 'Sheiv. Referring to HaShem's Command.'
So HaShem 'Vayera,' - ' Appeared to Avraham 'B' Eilonei Mamrei ,' at the plains of Mamre (who was a man called Mamre at the time .' This Parsha, is a Parsha where HaShem and His emissaries, the Angels appear a few times.HaShem Appears to Avraham, then waits on the side while Avraham attends to the three Angels, the Angel Michael ,who came to bring the news of the birth of Yitzchak, the Angel Gavriel, who goes along with the Angel Rafael, to Sodom and through Gavriel, HaShem destroys the cities with HaShem's Help and the Angel Rafael, who comes with Gavriel to save Lot and his daughters from Sodom and bring them out to safety to Tzoar. The angels at first appeared as men, yet Avraham still gave them honor, doing so much more for them than he intimated when they arrived. After the angels leave, HaShem , who was waiting on the side, continues to talk to Avraham, where Avraham pleads with G-D for the life of the people in these five cities situated around a single mountain hill - Sodom, Amorah (Gemorrah) , Admah, Zeboiim and Tzoar, first starting to pray for fifty righteous people which would be at least ten in each and finally going down to at least ten righteous people, which is where Avraham knew he had to stop pleading for there were not even ten righteous people in these cities .
HaShem's two emissaries the Angel Gavriel and the Angel Rafael finally come to Sodom in the evening, taking the whole afternoon trying to delay their arrival there in the hopes that Avraham's pleading for these cities would save the cities. Again, HaShem's Emissaries, these two Angels 'Appear,' to Lot who has just been made into a Judge of the city, thus waiting at the gate of Sodom . The Angels , note that the city is as bad as the report that it was, for the last straw was the poor girl, daughter of Lot, who dared to give charity to an elderly man was punished for her kindness , by her being stripped and hung up in the city, daubed with honey so that the bees would sting her to death. Her cries reached the Heavenly Throne of HaShem ( the cries of the city referred to in the Torah words) and that was enough for HaShem. A city devoid of fear of HaShem and also simple basic kindness, is not a city that deserves to live.
The Angels. Appearing to Lot and his family and blinding the city, is again an example of HaShem and His Emissaries 'Appearing.' Lot and his two daughters were saved, but Lot's Wife, a resident Sodomite was turned into a pillar of salt, for her actions of looking back on the city as they were fleeing, for previously, it was her who had informed her neighbors that Lot had guests for she had gone around asking for salt, thus causing the city to converge on Lot's door.
The Angel Rafael, brings Lot and his remaining two daughters ( from which the Moabites and Ammonites came by their own Father thinking no one was left after the destruction of the cities) to Tzoar one of the five cities set for destruction, but save as Lot asked for it to be spared so he and his daughters could run there and on account of Avraham's prayers and holiness, so again, another appearance of HaShem's Emissary.
Then again, HaShem Appears to Avimelech in a dream, when he takes Sarah .
After Avraham and Sarah have Yitzchak, on the day he is weaned, Yishmael is seen 'Metzacheik,' 'Sporting' with him. This Hebrew word refers to committing idol-worship and murder and blaspheming HaShem - for the same word is used in the actions of the Eirev Rav at the sin of the golden calf in the book of Exodus, for Yishmael was firing arrows at Yitzchak, blaspheming HaShem and from his mother Hagar's background, the family would head toward idol-worship, so Hagar and Yishmael were told to leave by Sarah's correct prophecy, and there again, an Angel of HaShem appeared to Hagar.
HaShem again Appears to Avraham to tell Avraham to take his beloved son Yitzchak and bring his son up to HaShem .
So , in this Parsha HaShem Appears a few times.
In this day and age, we so often hope that HaShem would Appear to us and show us the Way. If only we would realize that HaShem Shows us the way in the Torah.Yet HaShem remains unseen.Although we can see HaShem's Beauty in all the beautiful things HaShem Makes in Creation .
So why doesn't HaShem Appear to us as He Appeared to others, in Biblical times.
The answer to this is within the word 'Vayera,- ' 'Appeared.' Within the word 'Vayera,' is the word ' Yareih,' which means to 'Fear.' To 'Ro'eh,' - To 'See' HaShem's Essence,' (The word 'Ro ' eh' is also within the word 'Vayera ') we first need to learn 'Yareih,' to. 'Fear' HaShem . When Avraham was asked why he did not mention that Sarah was his wife, he stated clearly, that there was no 'Fear of G-D in this place.' A World that does not acknowledge and Honor HaShem's Almightiness , not fearing HaShem, is not a World that deserves to have HaShem 'Vayera,' - 'Appear,' to it. Avraham was a man who showed total obedience and love to HaShem, not even withholding his beloved son Yitzchak from HaShem. This was a man who totally put his own feelings aside and focused totally on the Will of HaShem , even if it meant giving up the most ever so dear love of his life, his most precious and beloved son Yitzchak (Yitzchaki as he sometimes endearingly called him - 'My beloved Yitzchak'), with whom he used to play, with whom he used to teach, with whom he used to walk and teach of the healing properties of every tree and shrub- a boy who would hold his hand as he listened to the wisdom of his Father, a boy he had waited a hundred years to finally get, his beloved son Yitzchak. Still more precious to Avraham, was HaShem's Wish. So, Avraham deserved to feel the Appearance of HaShem . When we can show HaShem such love and such devotion and fear, then we can start to feel partly worthy to feel ready to greet HaShem's Appearance to us.
In our day and age, this World has little fear of its Creator. People murder, steal and hurt others and animals mercilessly. People look only to themselves causing others to shed tears of pain. Thus, the World has gone to such a low extent that so many in this World shun those who still faithfully follow this World's Creator. There is no fear of HaShem left in so many , in this World.
People don't even care anymore ,hurting others in private, thinking HaShem won't see . HaShem Sees All . If such a World does not care that HaShem would see them, how can such a World expect the honor of seeing HaShem Appear to it.
To bring the essence of HaShem's Shechinah back to us, we need to start to Fear HaShem and put HaShem before ourselves. We need to be totally cognizant of every action we do, that all is being seen and that all things are noted. When we let HaShem back in , HaShem will pull us close.
Let us emulate our beloved holy people like Avraham Avinu, and make the Fear of HaShem, the very air we breath that HaShem gives us.Let us put back the 'Yareih'- the 'Fear' for HaShem and His Laws, into every action and thing we do, so that HaShem Will 'Vayera,' - 'Appear,' to us and our World so it can be a total Holy World of HaShem .
With love to HaShem, I wish HaShem with love, a very beautiful Holy and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and to you, a very beautiful and sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love.
Avraham Avinu has just had his Bris Milah - Covenant of Circumcision and it is now the third day afterwards , which is the most painful day and HaShem 'Vayera,' - 'Appeared,' to Avraham at Midday-' K'Chom Ha Yom ,' - 'In the Heat of the Day,' when the Sun is highest in the Sky (from the Earth's point of view).' Parashas Lech Lecha
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Lech Lecha.
Here HaShem comes to Avram and tells him to go from his land Ur Kasdim, from his relatives and from his Father's house - 'El Ha'Aretz Asher Ar'Echa,' - "To a land that I ( HaShem ) will Show you (Avram)."
When HaShem came to tell Avram to "Lech Lecha ," to go from his home , HaShem did not even tell Avram where he was to go to. Usually, if we start a journey,we know its destination. If you were approached and told to pack up all your things and leave all that you know and all the people you hold dear including your family, and to just leave but not know before you leave,to where you are being sent ,there is a very slim chance that you would go.Avram on the other hand was totally faithful to HaShem. He did not need to know where HaShem was sending him . It was enough to know that HaShem spoke and Commanded and in total faith he would listen without question . This is a total display of Emunah Faith in the Creator . He left all those he knew , to go to a land that he never knew and to a destiny he knew nothing of yet, just because G-D Commanded it . He did the same when HaShem asked him to take his son Yitzchak to the Akeidah, where HaShem Told him to go to a land that HaShem would show him. Before he left, he did not know where that would be.
Avram had grown up in Ur of the Chaldees - Ur Kasdim among idol-worshipers, yet Avram stood by G-D and went against the wrong of his generation,to the point where he went into a fiery furnace to prove his faith in G-D ,in front of the man Nimrod (to whom Avram would not bow or lower himself ) even when others did.In front of Nimrod who had him put in this fiery furnace , Avram escaped unharmed. Avram, unlike all others of his time, walked erect and would not bend lower than the statue of Nimrod that was in the forecourt of Nimrod's palacial abode. All others bent low as they passed the statue, but not Avram. Avram would only bow to the One and Only True Living G-D HaShem . News of Avram's actions in his Father Terach's idol-making shop reached Nimrod, where Avram had smashed all the idols, leaving the hammer in the largest idol's lifeless hands and Nimrod never forget this holy man, even to the point of when Nimrod attacked the cities and kidnapped Lot,Avram's nephew .Avraham with Eliezer his faithful friend and servant were forced with 318 men (the Gematrical value of Eliezer's name) to go and defeat the armies of Nimrod (Amraphel ),seeing Avram as a rival to his (Nimrod's) need for deification.Yet Avram stood firm in his resolve and bowed only to HaShem.
This was the Avram, who had found G-D , in hiding, in a little cave he was put in by his Father, to save his life from the king when Avram was a little boy.
This was the Avram that HaShem appeared to and told him to "Lech Lecha," to go to where HaShem would send him .
We note that within the Hebrew words "Lech Lecha," are the reasons for HaShem's Command. One of these reasons was that HaShem wanted this special holy man to spread HaShem's Holiness among men and where Avram was living at the time, Avram's holiness was kept closed in like a bottle of precious perfume that needs to be opened to spread its sweet scent to the World . So HaShem told Avram to "Lech Lecha," - to go "Lecha," for you (Avram's sake ) so that Avram could spread his holiness to the World and also so that Avram could continue to grow spiritually closer to HaShem . "Lech Lecha," also means "Go to you," the true you , Avram , the one who is the carrier of the life mission of bringing people to HaShem. "Go to you," meant go to whom , you (Avram ) really was , within himself , the true you (Avram ) whose purpose is to bring the World back to the true belief in our One And Only Creator HaShem and the proginator of a Jewish people who bring HaShem's Laws to the World . That is who Avram was and is .Thus , when HaShem told Avram to "Lech Lecha," HaShem was telling Avram to go to his true self and purpose. The children of Avram, are to do the same. They are to be a light unto the nations, teaching the true faith of the One True G-D .
Each of us needs to find the true 'us' - the true 'mission ' HaShem put us here for . But first, we need to be like Avram, who trusts in full faith without needing proof, that G-D Commands us what He Commands us. This is where Avram started. With the true belief of G-D and faith in an unknown outcome . It was enough for Avram to know that HaShem Created all things and is All-Knowing and thus, HaShem Knows what He Commands us.Avram trusted HaShem and so, HaShem granted it to Avram as 'Tzeddakah,' - 'Righteousness.'
HaShem loves us all . Wherever HaShem sends us, is always for the good. When HaShem Sends us somewhere , Telling us "Lech Lecha," if we look deeply , we will see that HaShem is saying ,"Go for you to you ," to the true you that is you, for your sake of betterment so you can grow spiritually toward Me ,HaShem . All we need to do is to trust in full Emunah faith in the Creator of Creation and in His Torah Commandments , for our good . We don't need to see the final picture. HaShem Will "Ar' Echa," - "Show us," all in good time . All we need to do is trust in Him and follow Him wherever He Sends us .
The words "Lech Lecha ," in Gematria come to the number one hundred , which are the minimum number of Blesssings a Jew is to say every day, shown to us by Dovid Hamelech. If we take this number 'one hundred ' and bring it to its deeper Gematria , it comes to ten, which are the Ten Commandments and the Ten Utterances that HaShem used to Create Creation and bringing this number even deeper, leads us to the number 'One' which refers to HaShem , The One And Only True G-D . Thus every "Lech Lecha," journey we take for HaShem , leads us to HaShem The One And Only True G-D . This is a Commandment for all humanity , for our one and only purpose for living is to "Lech Lecha, " - "Go toward HaShem ," and bring others toward HaShem . Let us carry this thought with us always and always remember that HaShem Says to us all , "Lech Lecha ," - "Go for yourself , keeping My Torah Laws and come to Me , HaShem .
With love to HaShem , I wish HaShem with love , a very beautiful and special Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all, a very beautiful and special Shabbos Kodesh with love .
Parashas Noach
Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Noach.
In our Parsha, Noach was chosen with his righteous wife Naamah ( related to Kayin ) and his three sons Shem ,Cham and Yafes and their wives , to be the only family to survive the Mabul - the Flood by building an Ark for him and his family and the living Creatures to save them from the oncoming Flood . HaShem calls Noach an 'Ish Tzaddik Tamim Hayah Be Dorotaiv,' which means a 'Righteous Man, perfect in his generation.' Our Rabbis see two different points here .One being that he remained Righteous , no matter what pressures were put on him from the negativity around him .He stood up for HaShem and HaShem's Morality and stood against a World that was filled with robbery and idolworship . The other point states that he was righteous, considering the depravity of the World around him but he might not have been so righteous had he lived in and been compared to Avraham in Avraham's generation, where Avraham would have overshadowed his righteousness.
I feel that it is never fair to judge the actions of one holy man in a generation, with another holy man in another generation , for all tests and situations are very different. This is pointed out, with the second description word that Torah gives Noach, by not just calling him an 'Ish Tzaddik,' - 'A Righteous Man,' but also an 'Ish Tamim,' - ' A Perfect Man,' for he was as perfect a man as anyone in another generation would have been, had they lived in his generation.
The Rabbis also refer to the fact that in this Parsha, it says, 'Et Ha Elokim Hithalech Noach,' - 'Noach Walked with G-D ,' - and they compare this to the fact that it says in Torah how HaShem told Avraham , ' Hit'haleich Lefanai Ve'H'Yei Tamim ,' 'Walk before me and be Perfect,' and the Rabbis say that this shows that where Noach walked with HaShem, Avraham was given permission to walk before HaShem as if Avraham was higher than Noach . Through the very fact that HaShem directly called Noach an 'Ish Tamim,' shows that Noach had already reached a perfection in his generation and thus could walk with HaShem , as a friend. Avraham was told to walk before HaShem and be perfect for in Avraham's generation, Avraham's task was to walk before HaShem as a prelude to HaShem's Shechinah that Avraham helped to bring back to the World and so, Avraham was to re-introduce HaShem to the World as a page introduces the King that is coming . So both men were perfect in their generations.
Sadly, Noach did not pray for his generation for he was a man that didn't question HaShem as Avraham did in the incident of Sodom and Amorah. We see how Avraham did not question HaShem in the incident of the Akeidah . Noach followed HaShem without question .He did not wish to not pray for the rest, but meant to follow G-D's Command and never thought for a moment to question it.Avraham , on the other hand , was part of an equal covenant with HaShem and thus HaShem came to discuss His Actions before destroying Sodom and Amorah and Avraham pleaded for their lives. This did not make Avraham better. They were just two different men. But both were described as Righteous and Pure.
Not so Nimrod, who was the son of Cush , related to Cham, Noach's son . He was a different sort. His very name Nimrod, has within it the name 'Marad,' which means 'Rebellion,' for he was the one who brought rebellion against HaShem, in the building of the Tower of Bavel and the surrounding city. He ensured that all would move to a single city, the city of Shinar, He put fear into the people and told them of how every One Thousand six hundred and fifty years , the firmament shakes and makes a flood and so, the people must come together to build a high tower that reaches the Heavens and so,wage war on HaShem G-D and remove HaShem G-D from Heaven ,placing an idol on the top of this tower to defeat G-D . How silly an idea, for all things are Created by G-D . But this is what he got the people to do . Unlike the separateness of the Generation of the Flood, here, in this Generation of the Dispersal, he rallied all but Shem (Noach's son who was also known as Malchitzeddek) and young forty eight year old Avraham , to join in the project for Shem and Avraham both refused. Often Avraham would walk past this building project and , being a strong man, they would call him to help )for the people at the time valued more the dropping of a brick, then a human life that was lost on the building of the tower, yet he refused, calling HaShem to Judge them and 'confound' their actions as Psalm 55 says. Nimrod , who was known as a mighty hunter, was able to subdue all kinds of Wild animals and kill them He was the first to take advantage of the allowance to eat meat.He only was able to do hunt and catch animals because of the special coat that he wore that originated from HaShem ,Who gave it to Adam, for it was the special garment HaShem had made to clothe Adam and Eve ,in the Beginning when they left the Garden of Eden.It got passed down to Seth and found its way to Noach, where it was stolen by Cham's side and kept by Nimrod. Nimrod wanted to be worshipped as a deity and no one was permitted in his presence to stand higher than him . It was only Avraham who defied him , saying that it is only to HaShem we are to bow for HaShem is G-D. The One And Only.
This was the Nimrod who started the rebellion against HaShem .Nimrod told the people that Heaven should not only belong to G-D and G-D should not have control over the firmament that can bring forth a flood and so, he rallied the people to try to reach G-D and depose Him from Heaven .
As Shlomo Hamelech says in Mishlei , that the fear of the wicked will come to pass, the fear of Nimrod and the people ,as the Torah describes, that they should never get dispersed, ended up happening for so was their punishment from. G-D . For when HaShem came down with hosts of angels to judge man, that at the time spoke one language, the language of the Holy Tongue of Hebrew, HaShem came down and confounded their tongue and they ended up being dispersed. Within their very actions was the punishment, for HaShem came down and 'Navlah,' - 'Confused ' their language .Within the word 'Navlah,' are the Hebrew letters that form the Hebrew word 'Banah,' to Build, ' for by building against HaShem, their language was 'Navlah,' - 'Confused.'This is an important lesson , for when one does a wrong action, the resultant punishment is related to the wrong action that was done.
The reason, HaShem didn't destroy this generation , as He did for the Generation of the Flood, is because at least, they showed a 'togetherness' and HaShem hates Machlokes - Dissention among people .
So, we have two very different types of men . The one type like Noach and Avraham ,who walk with HaShem and clean this World - and the other, that walk away from G-D and try bring on rebellion , like Nimrod . The two paths are always open to choose from . A positive path that leads to G-D and a negative path that has no future. One might think that only a small and little deviation from HaShem's Wish and HaShem's Torah, couldn't be so bad Chas Ve Shalom, but the moment one starts to disobey G-D and go one's own way, even to a minute amount, one is already not following G-D .
To be a true child of G-D , is to be perfect to HaShem and to walk alongside HaShem toward HaShem ,in the same direction completely without any deviation great or small. Noach walked with G-D as HaShem told us and this showed that every step Noach walked, was alongside HaShem's Path.
As the World goes more and more into the modern age, sadly HaShem's Laws get pushed to the background as people think they can be more modern then G-D , Chas Ve Shalom . We must remember that nothing is more modern and no one knows more then G-D , for G-D Created our tomorrow . To deviate from HaShem's Laws in any way ,even if in a minute way, is to step away from walking with G-D . We are all the children of Noach and we all have it within ourselves to be as Noach was and to walk with G-D as a Friend , in the correct direction and not to deviate from G-D in even the smallest way in wrongly following modern times . HaShem Created time and we are to follow Him into the future for only HaShem is our destination for the past , the present and into the future . We are all children of Noach and so, each one of us has the strength and courage to stand up for G-D against the wrongs in the World and the wrongs people commit. We are all children of Noach and so,we all have the same equal obligation to stand up for G-D and to stand against that which tries to take humanity away from G-D 's Requested Laws and Ways. Stand tall and righteous and perfect as Noach did and make this World a World of G-D so we again can be righteous and perfect and walk with and in harmony with G-D as G-D so Wants us to . Give G-D the closeness with us that G-D so desires . Walk in G-D 's Ways and bring the World around you , to G-D .
With love to HaShem , I wish HaShem with love , a beautiful sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and to all, a beautiful sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love .
