Parashas Bereishis

Our Parsha this Shabbos is Parashas Bereishis.We have just completed the year's reading of the Torah and now, we start again at the Beginning of the Torah . 
The Beginning continues from the end and the end is a return to the Beginning.As Shlomo HaMelech said in Kohellet, "What has been , will again be and What is done ,is that which shall be done," so, What is, is what has already been. HaShem patiently sits and waits ,making the World New for us every day , hoping we will do as we are supposed to do . 
But what was HaShem's idea in the Beginning?What was it that HaShem Wanted, in Creating Creation . So many have offered thoughts on this very question . If I had to ask you what you think, you too would come up with an interesting and intelligent answer. 
So why did HaShem Create Creation ? 
Truly speaking, only HaShem Truly Knows but we can get some idea by HaShem's own Torah Words at the Beginning of the Torah and the at the end of the Torah. 
The first verse of Torah starts by saying , " Bereishis Barah Elokim Eit Ha Shamaim Ve Eit Ha Aretz , " - " In the Beginning of HaShem's Creating the Heavens and the Earth ." These are the first words of Torah . The first word of the Torah is 'Bereishis.' This word starts with a Hebrew large letter 'Bet,' even though the first letter of the Hebrew Alef Beis - Alphabet - is an 'Alef.' So why did HaShem start it with a 'Beis?' This was to show that though it is the Beginning of Creation as we know it, the first letter 'Alef,' which often spells HaShem's Name, was before, as HaShem was before ,preceding the Creation of all things . Thus HaShem was alone before all things were Created,with no humans or anything else, for HaShem Alone Created them all . Thus the 'Alef,' that represents HaShem ,exists eternally and before all things and after all things . 
When HaShem Created Creation , HaShem started with a 'Beis' - a 'Bet,' - a 'Beit,' which is the same as the Hebrew word 'Beit,' which means 'House ,' for HaShem wants us to make Creation and all things physical , His House . Thus it is for us to make this World a Holy Place for G-D to be welcomed and to Dwell in , as HaShem's House .The moment we start going off the rails and following our own paths and the paths of those who stray away from Torah Ways , then we send HaShem a message of Chas Ve Shalom, Him not being welcome in the House He Made , that we spoil .This is also why it is so important to make a Brocha before we partake of things.When we make a Brocha of anything, we at that moment bring it's spiritual essence to HaShem , who made that physical thing we are blessing, at the beginning of Creation.HaShem knew we would need it now, even when He Created all things then at the beginning so when we make a Brocha,within the words of the Brocha to Him , we say the word 'Borei,' like the word "Barah' which means 'Create,' so that the thing we are Blessing that waited till now from Creation can finally fulfill its spiritual purpose in Creation. 
The people of this World come up with many ways they think is the path to enlightenment and even though they feel enlightened at the moment, after their meditative experience, their soul has not grown in Holiness for it is still not following the way of the Creator of Creation Who Knows all and Commands us in the true and right path that we must go.
Our Sages tell us that this Creation was not the first one , yet caution us not to look into these things but to trust HaShem now and do all we can to follow Him . The number of these Creations before , are also mentioned in the first word of Torah which is ' Bereishis,' for if we take the word 'Bereishis,' and look deeper into the same letters , we get the word ' Barah' and the letters 'Shin' and 'Yud,' separately, where 'Shin' is 300 in Gematriah and 'Yud' is 10 in Gematriah , so putting this with the word 'Barah,' we get 'Barah' 'Shin ' 'Yud' , which means ,'He , HaShem ' Created 310 others,' which refers to 310 other Creations . But as I said, it is better not to look into such things that are so far beyond us . We need to learn to first get this Gift of This Creation that G-D Gave us, to be a Holy One for HaShem . That starts with each and every one of us . 
HaShem is the Creator - The One And Only Creator , Who Creates all . HaShem is always Creating even while we sleep .This is not the first Creation and our Sages say it is to be the last one before the True Mashiach comes . So HaShem has been Creating all along , even before this Creation and we see this in the first three words of the Torah which are " Bereishis Barah Elokim," which literally means ,'In the Creating, G-D Created ,' showing that G-D was already Creating and then Created this Creation . 
The word "Elokim ," is HaShem's Attribute of "Justice ," which is how HaShem originally Created this Creation so that it would be a place to choose Good - 'Shamaim ,' over the negative physicality of 'Earth,' and so gain Heaven and also make Earth and its physicality to be lifted up to Heaven, by following HaShem . But HaShem Knew that we , as human beings make mistakes and so HaShem tempered His Justice with Mercy . The first verse of Torah has Seven Words in it which is Gematrically the same value as the Hebrew Word 'Mashiach,' showing that already at the Beginning, HaShem knew we would go wrong and Created the solution to the mistakes we make , by Making the era of Mashiach to help bring us home to HaShem . In every generation , is one born who can be Mashiach, a human being born of normal human parents that follows G-D Whole- Heartedly, but the time of Mashiach is hidden and depending on how many people keep G-D's Laws, so do those who don't, hold up Mashiach's time of arrival .Thus people who don't keep the Laws of the Torah , keep G-D away form coming close to us and ushering in the End Of Days . Though , if by a certain hidden time , people have not yet done what HaShem Awaits them to do, then HaShem Will Come either way, but it will be very painful for those who remain in their own ways and paths and ignore HaShem's Wishes , for HaShem's Wishes are Supreme for He Alone Knows what is needed. 
HaShem , in the very first verse of Torah , Created 'Ha Shamaim' and 'Ha Aretz ,' The Heavens and the Earth . We note the 'Ha,' before both, not just as the Hebrew word 'The' but to show that HaShem comes into Heaven and Earth. Thus even before the separate days of Creation , HaShem had already set the Heavens and the Earth as a Creation in an unready state with the potential to bring forth living seed . HaShem first Wrote the Hebrew Alphabet and with that , HaShem wrote the Torah , Two Thousand years before Creation , Writing it with Black Fire on White Fire and then HaShem looked into His Torah and Created the World , for all things are spelled with Hebrew letters . 
We also note that the word 'Shamaim' is in the plural. This is due to the fact that there are Seven Heavens (Levels) . 
So why did HaShem Create Creation. As I said, the possible answer to this is in the first word and words of the Torah and the first verse as well as the last verse and word of Torah. This is " Bereishis," at the beginning word of the Torah and the word 'Yisrael,' which is the word that is at the end of the Torah, which shows that HaShem Created a physicality also so that He could give Love . How do I get this? If we take the first letter of Torah which is a 'Bet/Vet,' and put it with the last letter of the last word of Torah , which is a 'Lamed' (for as I said in the beginning that the beginning is the end and the end is the beginning) , we get the word 'Lev' which means 'Heart,' wherein love exists, so from the beginning to the end of Torah, HaShem possibly Created Creation to Give Love .
There are so many secrets within each letter and word of Torah to still carry on discussing just this first verse of Torah, but hopefully what we talked of today , has helped you love HaShem more and I truly hope you realize how much HaShem loves you and now it is the start of a New Year , so I truly hope that you now make up your mind to love HaShem back in His Way and follow His Holy Torah True.

Parashas Shabbos Chol Ha Moed Succos and Simchat Torah Parashas Ve Zos Ha Beracha

Our Parsha this Shabbos is part of the Chol HaMoed Succos Torah readings . We are at point of the Torah where on Simchat Torah, just after Shabbos in the same week , that we finish the reading of the Torah and begin anew with Parashas Bereishis.
The last Parasha of the Torah is Parashas Vezos Ha Berachah, which means ,'And this is the Blessing,' referring to the Blessings that Moshe Blessed the Tribes of Israel with , just before he went to HaShem .Even on his last moments, he was still caring for the people and Blessing us .
With each Blessing that he gave the Tribes, he covered them in Blessings for all generations.Every Blessing that he gave had deep meanings and a deep purpose.These Blessings remained around each Tribe through the years , to give each Tribe exactly what it would need in the future to remain holy and strong.Only the truest prophet could truly Bless another, for only a true prophet of HaShem can see with HaShem's Assistance into the future , what the one being Blessed would need and so,Bless them with what they need and are going to need in the future .Moshe was the holiest true prophet that ever existed and will ever exist.
When it came to taking Moshe's soul,not even the Angel of Death had power over him.Though it was sent to try,its attempts failed, for Moshe had reached such sublime levels of holiness, that only HaShem was able to bring Moshe's soul to Him with the love of a Divine Kiss .Moshe had reached the fiftieth gate of wisdom and holiness,which no other human being has ever reached.Moshe had achieved complete detachment from his own personal needs and even to his last breath, he spoke for others besides himself.He thus gained that fiftieth gate level of Kedusha that brought him to be near HaShem and so, Moshe was the purest vessel through which HaShem worked to lead us and to bring us HaShem's Torah that preceded Creation by two thousand years.
The Torah began with the word 'Bereishis,' in the Torah's first Book of Bereishis and the Torah ends with the word ,'Yisrael,' in the final Book of the Torah which is Devarim.If we put the first word of Torah with the last word of Torah, we get ,'Bereishis Yisrael,' which means, ' In the Beginning of Israel.' This shows that Creation only Exists for a World where Torah is kept and the people Yisrael, are here to make this World a Torah World by teaching HaShem's Light, so that Creation gets to where it needs to go. It was Yisrael, in the form of Avraham that brought the true light of HaShem to the World in teaching all , of the One And Only True G-D . It was Yisrael in the form of Moshe, that brought HaShem's Torah to the physical World , for it is with HaShem's Torah ,that allows Creation to exist , as a World where Torah can be kept , a World where Yisrael may follow HaShem's Will and teach that Will to the World .
'Bereishis Yisrael,' - ' In the Beginning of Yisrael,' started at Creation and is the true happenings of HaShem's people Israel from our humble beginnings to that holy preciousness of Moshe Rabbeinu our beloved teacher .
The Torah, though it has a starting point and a finishing point, is in reality never ending, for its eternal secrets and holiness is forever and so , on every Simchas Torah , we end and begin the Torah reading anew , for the people Yisrael are never ending , no matter how many have tried to destroy us as a people Chas Ve Shalom .Our holy light will continue to burn bright and be the lighthouse for the World to bring HaShem's Wishes to all of HaShem's children that He loves so dearly .
On this Shabbos Chol Ha Moed Succos, we also read Shlomo Hamelech's Book of Kohellet (Ecclesiastes) , where King Solomon comes with a most powerful message , that no matter how we may see the World as being in trouble and suffering, all has a purpose and he concludes Kohellet by summing up by saying ,''the conclusion of the whole matter ,is to fear G-D and keep His Commandments , for this is the whole duty of man." King Solomon also reminds us that. " To everything there is a season and a time and a purpose under Heaven - A time to be born and a time to die, A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted, a time to take life and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up, a time to weep and a time to laugh,a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to seek and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away , a time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak , a time to love and a time to hate , a time of war and a time of peace . " ( Succot Machzor Hebrew Publishing Company ) . For all things there is a season and for all of us , there is a period of time to use each moment that comes , to serve HaShem in the way that moment calls upon us to do .
So as Moshe , Blessed the Tribes before his passing ,for he would not be there to speak for us before HaShem, we need to take every season that comes and bring out the G-Dly light that exists in each moment and make this World, the World HaShem Intends it to be.
HaShem Gave us life. HaShem Gives us life every moment . Let us take that life that HaShem Gives us and use it in the service of HaShem and in the work of Torah , to bring HaShem's Light into every moment of this World and Creation and make this World, a place where HaShem Can Dwell and bring Creation to its intended destination , a Creation that is totally filled with HaShem .

Parashas Ha ' Azinu and Succos

Our Parsha this Shabbos just before the Holy Festival of Succos that reminds us of how HaShem Surrounded our people in the Wilderness with Clouds of Glory,is Parashas Ha'Azinu.Here Moshe puts into the form of a Shira, a song prophetically what will happen to our people till and at the End of Days.
Our Rabbis tell us that there were so far Nine Shiros - Songs ,that were counted as Holy Shira and in Mashiach's time, the Tenth will be sung.
The first of the Shiros according to Targum Yonasan and the Midrash,was by Adam in Gan Eiden ,where he composed 'Mizmor Shir Le Yom Ha Shabbos' - 'A Song a Poem for the Sabbath Day.' The Second was at the Yam Suf after we were saved from the Egyptians. The Third was when the Children of Israel Sang to praise the Well of Miriam. Ha' Azinu was the Fourth . Yehoshuah sang the Fifth ,when HaShem stopped the sun miraculously in the sky,during the war with the Emorites in Givon.The Sixth,was sung by Devora and Barak when HaShem Delivered us from the enemy and the Canaanite General Sisera. The Seventh, was sung by Chana, at the birth of Shmuel.The Eighth was sung by Dovid Hamelech to praise HaShem for saving him from his enemies.Shlomo Ha Melech is responsible for the Ninth one Shir Ha Shirim and as I said, the Tenth and final one will be sung when HaShem Saves us Jews from our enemies and Redeems us from our exile at the End of Days.
At the beginning of Ha'Azinu, Moshe calls Heaven and Earth to be a witness to how we behave.It will be through Heaven and its Rains and through Earth and the Dew that comes up, that HaShem will either Bless us or punish us. 'Heaven and Earth,' calls Moshe , must 'Ha'Azinu,' - 'Give Ear' to all we do and bring us , via trials and tribulations, to Holiness .
The word 'Ha' Azinu,' shows that HaShem , through Heaven and Earth, constantly is Watching us and never Leaves us to do our own thing. Many think, HaShem just Created us and left us be. This is so far from the truth. We may not realize it, but HaShem Surrounds His Creation all the time.HaShem is constantly Listening and Seeing all we do.
Within the word ' Ha' Azinu ,' are the words ' HaShem Ozen Lanu ,' - ' Which means , G-D Hears us.' All we ever do, G-D Knows . All we ever say. G-D Hears . His Ear is constantly upon us . If we could only realize what a beautiful protection , like the 'Clouds of Glory' are, is HaShem's Ear that Listens to us all the Time and Watches over us, if only we would do His Bidding.If only we would realize how sweet it is to have HaShem so close . No matter how far a person may travel to get away from HaShem , HaShem will always be close .HaShem will always ' Ha ' Azinu,' - 'Give Ear .'
The first four verses of Ha' Azinu has Forty Words, to show the Forty Days Moshe spent with HaShem pleading for us and receiving HaShem's Holy Torah .
The Twenty Sixth Word ,is ' Lei'Eloheinu,' which means ' To our G-D ,' and is G-D 's Name 'Elokeinu,' which is so interesting, as if we take the letters of HaShem's Holy Name 'Yud (H)Key Vav (H)Key,' it comes to 26 in Gematriah.
If we take the first word of Ha'Azinu and put it together with the Fortieth word,' Hu,' , we get 'Ha'Azinu Hu,' which means 'Give ear to Him ,' HaShem .It can also mean He , HaShem Will Give Ear to us .' Thus if we give ear to HaShem, HaShem Will Give Ear to us. How we treat HaShem is so important,although, HaShem still cares for us, even when we turn away or just care for ourselves . If we put the Gematriah of the words 'Ha 'Azinu Hu,' together , we get 91 , which spells the word 'Eitz,' the Tree of Knowledge for it is to the Tree of Knowledge that Torah is . Also the number 91 is 9+1 which gives us 10 , the Ten Commandments and also the Ten Pronouncements that HaShem used ,in His Ten Pronouncements , to Bring Creation into being . It was at Creation , when HaShem Brought all things into being, that HaShem's Creation could first 'Ha' Azinu,' - 'Give Ear,' to Him,our Creator, HaShem .It was then that HaShem first surrounded us at Creation, with Himself , like HaShem Did in the Wilderness with His Clouds of Glory and like HaShem Does on the Succos Festival, where we Bless the Lulav and Etrog and dwell in a Succah , to remind us that we are always under HaShem's Love and Protection , even when out in the open.The Three parts of the Lulav coming together with the Etrog as the Four Species,reminds us how all Jews of different types, must come together as one , to serve HaShem the One and Only G-D .
So, on this Holy Shabbos and on this Holy Festival of Succos, let us all put our own wishes aside, and truly come together to serve HaShem as One, and 'Ha'Azinu,' - 'Give Ear,' to HaShem's Torah and Wishes and do as HaShem Wants us to do as one. It is only to HaShem we are to pray. It is only HaShem we are to serve.For it is only HaShem that is our G-D,the Creator of all. Only HaShem is G-D .
So start to 'Ha ' Azinu,' - ' Give Ear to HaShem alone.'
The Shir of Ha ' Azinu , is to be sung by us through the generations for it is a prophetic Shir that spans time and carries us from today and our time in Olam Hazeh -this Present World, and takes us into the Messianic era ,taking us into the End of Days and the World to Come Olam Habah. May its last prophecies for the End of Days, come soon in our day, even today. The Holy secrets of Ha' Azinu and all it contains could only have been given by HaShem to Moshe for us , for its depth and prophecy, which part of it has already come true, proves beyond a doubt that HaShem wrote the Torah.
If only a few points that I mentioned above can show some of the secrets hidden within the first few verses of Ha' Azinu, imagine what the rest may contain and imagine what Torah holds within it. It is truly a pathway to G-D to those who hold fast by its sweet words and study its depths, even just a little a day .
May HaShem truly Bless His Creation and may His Creation come to serve Him is faithfulness.

Parashas Vayeilech

Our Parsha this Shabbos Shuva, the name of the Shabbos before Yom Kippur. ( The Day of Atonement on the Tenth of Tishrei ) comes , where we do Teshuva, is Parashas Vayeilech where Moshe 'Went out,' and spoke to the people that he was about to pass on and that now the people have to learn to be good and follow HaShem on their own. It was on Yom Kippur according to Rav Chrysler's Luchos , that Moshe descended with the Second Luchos after HaShem Forgave us for the Chait Ha Eigel and it was on Yom Kippur that Avraham's Bris took place and it was on Yom Kippur that Rabbi Akiva was killed by the Romans and it was on Yom Kippur that Yitzchak was taken up to the Akeidah and so , at this time also , we blow the Shofar to also call HaShem to our Teshuvah for a Ram's Horn represents the Ram that replaced Yitzchak.
As I said, Moshe was the one who 'Went out,' to speak to HaShem on our
Behalf and constantly got HaShem to forgive us.No more would our most precious Moshe,be here to persuade HaShem ,to forget our Aveiras.Now we would have to make sure we were good and not have a Tzaddik speak for us to get HaShem to forgive us even though we could speak to HaShem then, Moshe always stood up for us to persuade HaShem to forgive our wrongs.Now it would only be ourselves , that we would have to face HaShem without help.
It was time to grow up.
While Moshe was with us,we had this most holy Tzaddik who could beg for mercy and plead with HaShem to forgive us, but now, it was our time to face all the consequences , our actions deserved .The very merits of HaShem's Tzaddik Moshe covered the generation.Tzaddikim of all generations cover their generation.
It was the time that came ,that Moshe had to leave us and so,it had become time that we must learn to grow on our own.
The word 'Vayeilech,' starts with a 'Va,' which means 'And,' showing that Moshe's 'going out' to us was a continuation of the previous verse where Moshe told us to love HaShem and listen to His Voice and cleave to Him for He is our Life on the land we are entering and everywhere we may find ourselves, so it is for us to 'Vayeilech,' - ' Go out to' HaShem wherever we live and also in Israel where Jews must never forget that HaShem is our Creator and the Giver of Life.
Moshe uses the term 'Vayeilech,' which means 'And he went out,' for even though Moshe was the honored Tzaddik, he still humbled himself and 'Went out' to us to plead, even just before his passing.This was a total act of selflessness.Within this word 'Vayeilech,' is the word 'Lecha,' which means 'To you / For you,' showing that Moshe again 'Went out,' for us .But did we go out for him ? Sadly not. So many times did he pray on our behalf, yet this once that we could try to help him, we didn't. We ignored his situation even though he never once ignored ours. So HaShem said, 'Lecha,' - 'For you Moshe,' your time has come , to come to Me on high , as for now,for this people , you have done enough . As Moshe said, even though he had just 'Gone out,' to the people, he says just a few words later , that he cannot go out and in anymore, this did not refer to his health, for Torah at the end talks of his strength not being dimmed, so it was referring to the fact that HaShem no longer called on him the task of our people in the Wilderness.
It was now time for Moshe to rise and get his well deserved spiritual reward.It was on this day that Moshe summoned Yehoshua in front of the people and charged him with the task of taking the Children of Israel over the Jordan River into Canaan.
Moshe then commands that the Torah be read every Sabbatical year during the Succos festival,where all of Israel be present to hear,men ,women and children.Children too were to attend as they are our future generation and also, if we bring up our children with a proper Torah Way of Life following HaShem ,in the way that HaShem Wants us to go 'Vayeilech,' they will remain on HaShem's Path,as Shlomo Hamelech said , 'Bring up a child in the way he is to go and he will not depart from it.' So all had to attend this Torah reading done by the King.The King of Israel was not to be like any other nation's King, for the King of Israel was to carry with him a Torah Scroll always and meditate on it day and night.
It was also on this day that thirteen Torah Scrolls were miraculously written by Moshe ,one Torah scroll for each tribe of the Twelve Tribes of Israel to keep and another one to be kept by the Kohanim in the Aron , for all generations to ensure our Torah remains pure.
This , Moshe did , on his last day.While others on their last day would worry about themselves, Moshe continued to selflessly care for only HaShem and the people.
Never was there ever a holy man like Moshe and never will there ever be such a man as Moshe.Even on his last day, he spent his last breath in service of G-D and His people. 
Within the word ,'Vayeilech,' is 'Va Yah Lach,' - ,'Which translates as ,' And To You O G-D,' which shows that even before Moshe passed on, his every word and action and his action where he 'Went out,' to the people , was to serve HaShem with every breath he had and to even give his last breath back to G-D Who gave it and the people he so cared for .
Is it not time that we 'Vayeilech,' - 'Went out,' and did the same.Is it not time that we 'Vayeilech,' - 'Went out,' to G-D instead of G-D constantly coming to us ,begging us to be good. Isn't it time that we 'Vayeilech,' - ' Went out to G-D .'Isn't it time that we 'Vayeilech,' - 'Went out,' for Moshe's sake to plead Beloved Moshe's cause and give back a little bit of the caring Moshe gave us .
So many people today, around the World and even sadly in the Holy Land of G-D , prefer to use the breath G-D Gave them , for their own personal enjoyment, forgetting to even show a minute amount of gratitude for the very breath that G-D Gives them to breathe and live.So many people ( as Moshe warned us about ) have turned toward their own way and rather chosen to live a physical life of insignificant pleasure and sadly forget the very Giver of Life HaShem .
As we approach Yom Kippur, let us once and for all come back to the very Creator and Giver of life and return in Teshuvah as the word means, to HaShem , the Only True Worthy Reason for Living.
Let us 'Vayeilech,' - 'Go to HaShem,' for it is only to HaShem we must 'Lech' - 'Go .' The whole World right now,stands on the top of a New Year. The time is now. The time is here . Turn your life around and live the life The Creator Gives you to live and let all your actions from now , for HaShem's sake and for Moshe's sake, be for the sake of HaShem , and for the sake of Heaven .
May this time, this hour and this minute , be the minute we 'Vayeilech,' - 'Go to,' HaShem .
