This Shabbos is Shabbos Chol Ha Moed Succos , so we read in The Holy Torah about Succos in The Torah Portion and in a few days is Simchas Torah , when we read the last portion of The Holy Torah called Parashas Vezos Haberachah , completing the Sedras And Torah for the year and we straight away start to read HaShem's Holy Torah from the Beginning , returning to Parashas Bereishis . When Succos ends , HaShem Requests Of us To Celebrate another Yom Tov separate from Succos called Shemini Atzeres , on which we Pray To HaShem For Rain . We note that throughout the Succos Festival , 70 Parim Bulls form the Korbanos and this number is representative of the 70 nations of the World . So we Jews are also praying for the nations to be forgiven and to come To HaShem . HaShem Is So Special . Seeing as we also gave our Succos Yom Tov for the sake of not only ourselves , but to also pray for the other nations , So HaShem Also Wants To Give us an extra day Yom Tov just for us so that we , who are HaShem's Special guests , Can Spend It In Closeness With HaShem , for we have just spent the last few weeks with Yomim Tovim Closer To HaShem , and now that we are finishing the last Festival for a while in the Hebrew Calendar , that being Succos , HaShem Wants us Jews To Stay With HaShem a little longer , and this is one of the reasons Why HaShem Gave us Shemini Atzeres , The Holy Eighth Day Feast , As Though HaShem Is Saying To The Jewish People , " Please Stay With Me one more day , " and this one more day Is HaShem's Separate Festival , not part of Succot , and is called Shemini Atzeret . We note that on this day Yom Tov , only one 'Par' 'Bull' is mentioned , thus representing us Jews Israel As HaShem's Close Nation , who Follows HaShem Only And As One and Who Follows HaShem Faithfully . This idea is very representative of Mashiach , where after the number 7 for the Seven Days of Succos ( where the Gematriah of the word ' Mashiach ' comes to 7 ) , on that next number Eight that takes us into The World To Come Olam Habah , so is Shemini Atzeres ( where the Hebrew word Shemoneh means Eight ) and certainly a day to make Prayers For HaShem's Rain To Water the Earth , And From HaShem , Bring the Earth HaShem's Brochas Blessings . In the Beginning , HaShem Created The World , But Did Not Yet Send Rain Till Adam Asked for it to water the Earth and so , is the Blessing to Nourish the Earth , Dependent From HaShem , On our Behaviour And Obedience to HaShem . The Succos Festival is very much linked to Water and Brochas Blessings of nourishment for Creation and we used to show this on this Festival , by the Water Drawing Ceremony , that was performed at this time , and also the Willow Branches as a part of the Arba'a Minim Four Species of the Lulav and the Esrog , that we Jews wave during Succos , for the Willow Branches often grow near a Water Source and the Willow Tree needs plenty of Water for Nourishment , just like , or representative of our Jewish People , That Survive By HaShem , if we constantly Delve Deeply into HaShem's Torah , our Holy Spiritual Nourishment . Succos is a Yom Tov Festival and time where we leave our permanent dwellings and reside in the Succah , Reminiscent of The Clouds Of Glory That HaShem Surrounded us Jews With , In the Wilderness . Here we have the very Way things should be , that we are to put our total Trust and Faith In HaShem To Watch Over us and so , can we dwell in our Succahs ( which is our reminder of The Clouds Of Glory ) , In Total Faith Of HaShem's Care . The Clouds of Glory Were Given By HaShem In Honour of Aharon Ha Kohein and the High Priest is reminiscent of Yom Kippur and the Day of Atonement , very much like Shemini Atzeres , on which also , a single bull was mentioned as a Chatas and so Shemini Atzeres and Yom Kippur are linked , and we as The Chosen people Of HaShem to spread HaShem's Oneness , spend this Festival of Shemini Atzeres In Closeness With HaShem . During this time , as I mentioned , we finish reading Devarim , The Last Book of HaShem's Holy Torah , and start HaShem's Holy Torah again , from the Beginning of the First Book of Bereishis . In days of old , we used to complete The Torah Reading in three years , but we now complete The Torah Sedras in a year , straight away beginning anew , Just As HaShem Makes every day new For us To Help us improve ourselves . HaShem Is Creating Every Second , For If HaShem Would Stop , even for a short while , Creation would cease to be , So HaShem Creates All The Time . Torah Is Never Ending and so , each time we read The Holy Torah , new insights show themselves , For HaShem's Knowledge And Wisdom Is Far Beyond Infinite . We , during these days , complete the book of Devarim Deuteronomy and so , read the last Sedra that Moshe was Given and wrote , which as I mentioned , is called Parashas " Vezos Haberachah " - " And this is the Blessing . " In this Sedra , Moshe , before his return back To HaShem , gives his final blessing to the Tribes of Israel . Before Yaakov returned to HaShem , he too Blessed the Tribes . We note that in this Sedra of Vezos Haberacha , the words start with the Hebrew word " Vezos " - " And this ." How interesting that also when Yaakov was Blessing his sons , the Tribes , we find there in Bereishis Genesis 49:28 , that there too , the word " Vezos " - " And this , " also appears . This shows , that Yaakov's Blessings are not separate from Moshe's Blessings to the Tribes , but in fact , Moshe's Blessings are actually a continuation of Yaakov's Blessings and thus the two are one . We also note that Moshe , when introducing The Holy Torah in Devarim 4:44 , that Moshe also uses the word " Vezos , " in the verse , which says , " Vezos HaTorah Asher Sam Moshe Lifnei Bnei Yisrael , " - " This is the Torah/Teaching that Moshe placed before the Children of Israel , " a verse that we are familiar with that we say on Shabbos in reference to The Torah . So , the Blessings of the Tribes by Yaakov and Moshe are very much interlinked , with The Torah Itself , for it is by our Closeness to The Holy Torah , that our Tribes of Israel will earn deserved Brochas Blessings . We know How HaShem Offered The Holy Torah to other nations and how they turned HaShem down and how we Jews accepted It , saying " Na'aseh Ve Nishma , " - " We will do and we will listen , " - accepting It to do It , before knowing what It included , and thus showing Trust In HaShem And Obedience To HaShem's Will , unlike the other nations who first wanted to know what was in It before they accept It , and this is one of the things That HaShem Loves us Jews for and Keeps us in His Special Place Close To Him , for we Jews accepted It first and said we would follow and do The Laws That Are In HaShem's Torah , before we were shown It . We note in this Sedra That HaShem First Offered it to others , for it clearly says How HaShem Had Come To Sinai where we were Given The Holy Torah , after shining forth first from Seir , where It was first offered to Eisav , who did not accept It , As The Holy Torah Forbids Killing , which Eisav is known for , And Also How HaShem Had Also First Gone To Mount Paran , where Ishmael and his people dwelt , and they did not want to accept It due to the forbidding of Ganav Theft . This is all in the second verse of this Sedra of Vezos Haberacha . It was us Jews who stood at the foot of Sinai To Receive HaShem's Holy Torah , That HaShem Gave With His Eternal Love . Moshe then continues to Bless the Tribes . Moshe Blesses Reuvein to live and not die , as a protection for them , them being one of the first at the forefront of battle to conquer the Holy Land under Yehoshua Joshua . Moshe Blessed Yehudah and its kings , and even refers to Dovid Hamelech who was forced to flee from Shaul and so return safely And That HaShem Should Always Help Against his enemies . Moshe Blesses Levi for the Priesthood and to be Holy Torah Teachers to Israel . Moshe Blesses Binyamin and refers to him and his Tribe , As HaShem's Beloved , for Binyamin never committed an Aveirah and was not part of the sin against Yosef , that the other brothers perpetrated on Yosef . Moshe refers to Binyamin , As HaShem's Shechinah " Resting between his shoulders , " and this refers To HaShem's Shechinah In The Holy Temple , for the Temple would rest in Binyamin's portion . Binyamin , besides being a most holy and pure man , would also let his Father rest , supporting his Father Yaakov on his shoulders as an assist to walk and so , would Binyamin , Now Be Rewarded By HaShem , With Having HaShem's Shechinah In The Beis Ha Mikdash , " between his ( Binyamin's Portion ) shoulders . " Moshe's Blessing to Yosef's Tribe is in reference to Yosef's purity and modesty in keeping away from Zulaicha , the wife of Potifera , and also a Blessing to Yehoshua , descended from Yosef , as a Blessing for strength over other nations , especially the ones in Canaan , that would be Yehoshua's next task to , With HaShem's Help , Conquer . Moshe Blessed Zevulun and Yissaschar together , for they both worked with and complimented each other , for while the one was busy with commerce to support both , it is for the purpose that the other may have time to study Torah , and so both would get the Kavod of each other's efforts . Moshe Blessed Gad with strength for Gad was to also be in the forefront of battle for Canaan . Moshe Blessed Dan too with strength , for Dan's portion would be near the border of Israel , and so Dan would need to be strong to defend Israel's border . Moshe Blessed Naphtali with favour at the Sea , for so would be Naphtali's portion in Israel near the Sea . Moshe Blessed Asher to be pleasing to his brothers , and this was also in reference to the women of the Tribe of Asher , who were blessed with spiritual beauty to be wives to Kohanim Gedolim , and others who build up Israel , and also that members of this Tribe would " dip his feet in oil , " in reference to the olive trees in Asher's portion and the Anointing Oil of Sacred Avodah tasks by the Kohanim , who got their Oil from the Tribe of Asher From HaShem . Moshe then Blesses the Borders of Israel And Praises HaShem . HaShem Then Calls Moshe And Tells Moshe That his time has come , To Return To HaShem . Moshe bids farewell to the Tribes and ascends the Plains of Moav To Har Nevo . HaShem Showed Moshe All The Land , The Holy Land That Is To Be Kept Holy And Pure According To HaShem And HaShem's Torah , For All Time , That HaShem Swore To Avraham And To Yitzchak And To Yaakov To Give To Us Jews . The Angel of Death was not able to take Moshe's Soul And Only HaShem With A Divine Kiss Brought Moshe Back To HaShem , As The Holy Torah Says Here , " Al Pi HaShem " - " By The Mouth Of HaShem . " ( Devarim 34:5 ) . The Malachim Angels Michael , Gavriel and Zagzagael prepared Moshe And Only Then Did HaShem Take Moshe's Soul . Michael is the Malach Angel of the Jewish people . Gavriel is the Malach Angel of Strength that often played a role With HaShem's Help , in the growing and saving of our Jewish people and the Malach Angel that destroyed Sodom and Amorah , Admah and Zeboiim , and the Malach Angel Zagzagael is the Malach Angel that is known as The Malach Angel Of The Torah , that often taught Torah to Moshe and this Malach Angel is one of the Highest Angels Close To HaShem , sometimes known as the Angel Metatron , that often Spoke For HaShem , even to Avraham at the Akeidah , A Malach An Angel Of Pure Holy Fire , that our holy Sages say , may have once been Enoch , who went to Heaven early , as mentioned in The Book of Bereishis and that might have been made into a Malach an Angel . HaShem's Holy Torah Tells us That Moshe was buried in the land of Moav opposite Beth - Peor and his grave is no where to be found , so that no one would try and idolize him , Chas Ve Shalom , and that other nations would not be able to put up their pagan shrines near him . The place of his burial was chosen for a reason . The sin of the generation that were enticed by Moav to sin , was a very big sin and while Moshe was alive , the negative force that came about due to this sin , was kept at bay while Moshe lived . Now that Moshe passed , his place of burial in this exact spot , would still stand to keep this negative entity at bay from hurting Israel . Our Rabbonim tell us That HaShem Told Moshe that he would awaken at The End Of Days , to lead the generation of the Wilderness , into Israel . The Children of Israel mourned for Moshe for 30 days . Moshe passed away to the exact day he was born , to the exact hour and minute at the age of 120 . Yehoshuah found the loss of Moshe very hard , And HaShem Had to Tell Yehoshuah To Continue With his tasks now as leader , For HaShem Told Yehoshuah That He too would miss Moshe as a man , for who now would pray for the forgiveness of Israel as Moshe continually did . The nation of Israel obeyed Yehoshuah and Yehoshuah , who mourned Moshe almost like a Father that Moshe was like to him and his beloved Teacher . HaShem's Torah Tells us That there never was and never will be another Prophet like Moshe , Whom HaShem Knew Face To Face , for Moshe had reached the 50th Gate of Wisdom And Holiness and his strength was unabated and his holiness , Gained By Holy Deeds Of Obedience To HaShem . So ends the Book of Devarim And The Five Books From HaShem Through Holy Moshe Moses . The Holy Torah Starts And Ends With A Giving , Where HaShem Gives us Creation , as mentioned in Bereishis , And Here Ends In Devarim , With All The Giving Of HaShem To Israel In HaShem Saving Israel . So must we be , every day , to start and end our day With An Action Of Giving For HaShem . Moshe Warranted HaShem To Take Moshe's Soul Personally , for Moshe had busied himself with Yosef's coffin , while others were collecting things from the Egyptians , just before they left Egypt . Moshe , the holiest of men , Was Saved From the Nile By HaShem , and so was his name Moshe , which referred to his being drawn out of the water . Here again , do we have reference to water , like I mentioned in my words before , that The Yom Tov Festival of Succos also has links to water . Moshe's Holiness and Beauty of Spirit is unmatched by any other human being . Moshe's Love For HaShem and Moshe's love for his people , is like no other . His total selflessness is like no one else ever was . Even at the time of his passing , his only main and beloved concern , Was For HaShem and his people Israel . No man was ever like him and never will be . Moshe lived his whole existence For HaShem and his Jewish People . He was born totally pure and circumcised and already Spoke To HaShem when he was 3 months old . He never acted like a prince in Egypt , even though he could have , seeing that he was brought up by the daughter of Pharaoh , who became known as Batya ( which means daughter of HaShem ) , for she converted to Judaism . Yet Avigdor Moshe as a baby would not suckle from anyone but his own Mother Yochaved , and followed closely the Teachings of his own Father Amram . Moshe never acted as a prince of Egypt , but went out to his own brothers in the brick pits and saved even those of his own who were against him . Moshe never strayed From HaShem , and would never let a single sheep get lost , but cared always for each and every sheep under his care , ( as he did for every Jew ) , when he worked for Yisro who became his Father-In-Law , for we learn that once a sheep went astray and travelled far away from the flock . Moshe would not go away and just leave it , and so he travelled far to reach it and when he did reach it , he said , 'Come my little one , stray not from the others , be not alone ' and Moshe lifted it up and carried it gently and compassionately upon his shoulders , taking the burden upon himself . Said HaShem Who Saw This Sight , " Such a Gentle Holy man should look after My Flock The Jewish People , for he would not even let one of them go astray and would carry them ever so gently back to Me . " Moshe's pleadings to enter the Holy Land in Parashas Va'eschanan , show that within the Gematriah of this word , Moshe pleaded 515 times to enter the Holy Land . This 515 times covers each and every Jew till the year 6093 From Creation , the year of The End of Days , when Mashiach is due . We get this from the date of Moshe's passing in Adar 2488 From Creation , to which we add 515 times the amount of 7 year Sabbatical years which comes to 3605 years to which we add the number 2488 , the year of Moshe's passing , and we get the year 6093 , the final year of Mashiach . Thus Moshe prayed for us till The End of Days . Even though we angered him and were partly responsible for the happening at the rock , Moshe never held any anger towards us , but still cared only For HaShem and us , before he passed on . We owe Moshe so much and we did not even pray To HaShem Not To Take him , yet Moshe constantly prayed for us to be forgiven . So I will end my Parsha post , asking all of us to do as Moshe did for us constantly , to pray for his Neshoma and ask That HaShem Continually Bless Moshe And Watch Over Moshe And Shower Moshe Constantly And Forever With Brochas And Sweet Love Always . For The Sake Of HaShem and Moshe , let us all make this year , a year To Come Closer To HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah , and to go out of our way to Keep All The Commandments And Mitzvos Of HaShem and to live For HaShem , As HaShem Wants us To Live . Let us all make this year , a year that all people will drop false wrong beliefs and that we will all study HaShem's Holy Torah And Follow Only HaShem's Holy Torah And Only HaShem's Holy Laws . We owe this To HaShem In HaShem's Creation , For It Is Because Of HaShem That All Of Creation Lives And Breathes And Exists . Let us all from now on , from this Year onwards , Do All And Everything HaShem's Way , and help to make this World , A Place For HaShem To Dwell Among us In HaShem's Love . Thank you beloved Moshe Rabbeinu for all you were and are and For All That you Did For HaShem and for us , our Jewish People . May HaShem Eternally Bless your ever beloved Holy Neshomele . Thank You Ever Most Beloved HaShem For You And For The Creation You Created For us all . Thank You Ever Most Beloved HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . Wishing Forever Eternally Most Beloved HaShem With Pure And Total Eternal And Forever Love , A Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Pure And Forever Eternal Love And A Holy Sweet Beautiful Yom Tov Chag Succot Sameach With Pure And Sweet Love , and to all of my fellow Jews , a Beautiful and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh and Holy Yom Tov Chag Succot Sameach with love , and to all of Creation , Shabbos Peace . May Olam Habah Come Soon In our days With Beloved HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He .

The Shabbos Parsha is Parashas Haazinu . The Haftorah for this Parasha Sedra is in II Shmuel Samuel 22 : 1 - 41 , and as the Parsha Sedra is one of the Ten Songs of Holiness , so is Dovid Ha Melech's Song , one of the Ten Songs of Holiness . HaShem Instructed Moshe To Write This Song Of Haazinu , to remind our Jewish people that when we stray , Chas Ve Shalom , From HaShem , the punishment that comes upon us is due to our own wrong - doing . We are to change our wrongful ways and return In Faithfulness To HaShem . Seeing as Moshe knew that his time to return To HaShem was near , HaShem Instructed him To mention witnesses that will be there long after Moshe's present time and so , Moshe calls to Heaven and Earth to stand as witnesses to these words , for so says Moshe , " Haazinu HaShamayim Va'adabeira V'Tishma Ha'Aretz Imrei Fi , " - " Give ear , O Heavens , and I will speak ; and may the Earth hear the words of my mouth . " What a thing for a man to tell the Heaven and the Earth to stand and " Hear . " Only HaShem Commands His Creations , but Moshe on Har Sinai , had earned their respect when he silenced the Malachim Angels of Heaven And Earth , when they approached Moshe to try and dissuade him from bringing down to us HaShem's Torah and Moshe's words of persuasion were such that he persuaded them of how Torah Was Written By HaShem for humans to keep and how The Holy Torah Is Israel's Guide To HaShem , and so these Malachim Angels acceded to Moshe and so Heaven and Earth would be the perfect witnesses to watch over us that we Keep HaShem's Holy Torah , and Heaven and Earth would be HaShem's Tools of either Reward or Punishment , if we keep The Holy Torah , or Chas Ve Shalom , if we do not . So Moshe said the perfect thing , in starting this Song with Heaven and Earth . We are told that there will be Ten Holy Songs - Shira before The End Of Days . Adam wrote the first one in Gan Eiden , when he composed the Psalm ' Mizmor Shir Leyom HaShabbat , " for the Sabbath day . The Second Shira was sang at the Yam Suf by Moshe and the Children of Israel , After HaShem Saved our Jewish People . The Third Shira , was sung in praise of the Well of Miryam. ( In Parashas Chukas ) . The Fourth Shira was this very Parsha Shira of Haazinu . The Fifth Shira was sung by Yehoshuah Joshua in Givon , when he fought the Emorites And HaShem Commanded the Sun to stop in the sky . The Sixth Shira was by Devorah and Barak , When HaShem Delivered their enemies into their hands , which also included Sisera , the Canaanite general ( Shoftim 5 ) . The Seventh Shira , was sung by Chana , When HaShem Gave her Shmuel Samuel , after being childless for many years ( Shmuel 2 ) . The Eighth Shira , our Haftorah for this Sedra , was composed by Dovid Ha Melech at the end of his life , In Thanks To HaShem For Saving him So Many Times From his enemies ( II Shmuel Samuel 22 ) . The Ninth Shira was written by Shlomo Ha Melech which was the well known ' Shir Ha Shirim . ' The Tenth and final Shir will be sung by the Jewish people When HaShem Redeems us from the present exile . ( Midrash Says - Devarim - Rabbi M . Weissman ) . We note that all the first nine Songs are called by the feminine gender ' Shira ' but the last Tenth one is called by the masculine ' Shir ' for it says in Yeshayahu Isaiah 26 : 1 , " On that day shall this Shir be sung in the land of Yehuda . " What A Sweet Way HaShem Gave us to know when the True Moshiach finally comes. ( For no one may be called Moshiach , till The Final Days When HaShem's Moshiach comes ( Yechezkel 34 , which must be just before the Third Temple gets built - may it come soon in our days With HaShem ) , for this last Shir , will be publicly known and sung only at the Time of Moshiach's Arrival and only then will the one who is the true Moshiach , be able to be called Moshiach , not before . This is a secret sweetness of knowing the True Moshiach , for then the final Tenth Shir will be sung , where the number ' Ten ' will signify The Coming Of The End Of Days , Completing Creation That HaShem Started With Ten Pronouncements From HaShem , In Creating Creation And Bringing us To The End Of Days With HaShem's Revelation , where we will remember clearly HaShem's Revelation To the Jewish people At Har Sinai , Where HaShem Revealed To us , HaShem's Ten Commandments . May The End Of Days Come Soon In our days and may we all come To Meet HaShem , when we Jews finally sing this one and only Tenth Shir With HaShem . Moshe asks , in this Sedra , that his teaching drop like rain , so that it will penetrate within us and that his utterance flow like dew , so that it may gently be with us always , being the life-giving nourishment , that water is to nature . Moshe asks , that when he calls out HaShem's Name , greatness is to be ascribed To HaShem , which teaches us the power of a Brocha ( and the Commandment of saying Brachot ) and of the word " Amein , " for when someone says a Brocha , the one hearing it , must say ' Amein , ' which is also a reiteration Of HaShem's Name , for the letters of ' Amein , ' spell out the words ' El Melech Ne'eman , ' - ' G-D , Faithful King ' ( which is also added to the start of the Shema when praying alone the full Shema ) . HaShem Is Our Rock , as Moshe teaches , Perfect Is HaShem In All That HaShem Does And In HaShem's Every Judgement , even though we may not always understand . HaShem Knows All . HaShem Is Always Righteous And Fair . We are the blemished ones . May we all work all the time to rectify ourselves and bring ourselves To Holiness , To HaShem . Moshe warns that after his passing , when we grow in abundance in the Land , we will do wrong . Moshe Tells us To Remember HaShem , our Master . Moshe Reminds us here , That It Is HaShem Who set the borders of all peoples . It Is HaShem Who Set the borders of the other nations , according to The Children of Israel . We see this in the fact that there are 70 Nations in the world and when Yaakov came to Mitzrayim , 70 souls of Jews are counted that started Yaakov's family of Jews . Moshe then tells us That HaShem's Portion Is HaShem's Jewish people , the Children of Jacob , who became HaShem's Covenanted People , " in a desert land and howling wilderness , " wherein is Har Sinai , when we became HaShem's Covenanted People , To Spread HaShem's Oneness And Light To All . Moshe Compares HaShem's Care Of us Jews , to an Eagle with its young . This is a beautiful analogy , for the Eagle is unlike any other bird , for when it flies with it's young , it puts its young on its back , thereby facing the Earth and dangers there on Earth below the Mother Eagle , with it's own stomach , thus shielding its young from the arrows of man . So Does HaShem Shield us , HaShem's Chosen People Of Israel . Chosen To Teach HaShem's Oneness To All . HaShem Guides us With His Holy Torah True , For Torah Is HaShem's Lighted Pathway To HaShem , The Milk And Honey Of Torah . We Jews will , in Moshiach's time , be called " Yeshurun , " which has the word ' Yashar ' in it , which means ' straight . ' HaShem , In This Song written by Moshe From HaShem , Then Continues Telling How we will rebel against HaShem And HaShem's Torah And HaShem's Commandments . How some of our people will sadly follow the beliefs of the other nations , that will lead those who follow them , astray . How some will offer to demons while others will follow falsely deified idols and other beliefs , even new ones of beliefs in following any form of deity-ship , other Than HaShem Alone And HaShem's Oneness . For the Nations seek to make physical , their beliefs and follow that which has a physical reference , whether it be wood , stone or human . Such things are an abomination To HaShem , Who Is Not a physical being And Never Will Be And Can Never Be Contained in a physical human that is born , For HaShem Alone Creates all humans and all things And HaShem Alone Is One And Beyond Any Physicality And Cannot Ever Be Contained in anything That HaShem Creates ( Numbers 23 : 19 and Hosea 11: 9 , where HaShem Is The One And Only Creator And Saviour Hosea 13 : 4 , None But Him Alone ) . HaShem Will Then Hide His Countenance From us So As Not To Be Hurt And Also So As Not To Take full cognizance of our sins of idol-worship and other sins , For Then HaShem Would Be Fully Concentrated On our total Punishment . HaShem Says , " My arrows shall I use up against them . " This sounds very final , but in fact this is actually also a positive reference , For If HaShem Uses Up All His Arrows Against us and we are still there , it means That HaShem Will Certainly Limit our Punishment and we will still survive By HaShem's Caring And Compassionate Mercy . HaShem Will Punish all those that have turned away from His Commandments , whether the young man , or the virgin who then cohabits with that which she claims is other - worldly from whom a young man comes , HaShem Will punish them , from the suckling youth , to the elderly , who do wrong . HaShem Says That He Will Scatter them . We are to be a Jewish Nation of Counsel and Discernment and be Wise . Following HaShem Only And Always and teaching others and all around us , to Follow HaShem Only . HaShem Will Cause our enemies to see our disobedience . This Song Of Haazinu , will stand up and show why these things come upon us , That It Comes From HaShem , our Rock . Says The Song , Even our offerings and fruits , we will sadly not give correctly as offerings , but will give them with idol worship , which is exactly what happened in the time of the Kings . May we all learn to be Obedient And Good And Holy To HaShem . How Prophetic Is This Song Of Haazinu From HaShem Through Moshe . Just As HaShem Prophecies our Punishment , So Does HaShem Prophecy our Redemption Here In This Shira Of Haazinu . Just as the one has come true in history , so will the other , including As Is Mentioned Here In The Shira Of Haazinu , The Punishment And Destruction At The End Of Days , of all those through history who have in any way hurt Jews through time . HaShem Directly Says Here In Verse 39 , " See , now , that I , I am He - and no god is with Me . I put to death and I bring life , I struck down and I will heal , and there is no rescuer from My Hand . " How Clear Does HaShem Put It , Saying That there is no other god , no other saviour with HaShem , For HaShem Is Alone , no other parts To Him , no son part , no holy spirit part as a second part . No other parts To HaShem . HaShem Is One . Only HaShem Brings Life And Death . Only HaShem Heals And Only HaShem Rescues . There are no parts with HaShem . HaShem Is Not Physical And HaShem Is One And Always Will Be One And Will Never Ever Be , At Any Time , Anything Else But One . HaShem Will Then Take Vengeance On all those who have gone to other deities and who followed other parts to deify them , For HaShem Said , ' I am One . ' HaShem Then Clearly States , " O nations - sing the praises of His people ( the Jews as mentioned earlier in this Song ) , For He ( HaShem ) Will Avenge ( against the nations that hurt the Jews through time ) the blood of His Servants ( the Jews - who keep to and follow only His Oneness and Do Not stray to other pagan beliefs ) ; He ( HaShem ) Will Bring Retribution Upon His foes ( those nations who hurt His Jewish people ) And He will appease His Land ( Israel - removing all traces of idol worship and anything that goes against HaShem's Oneness And HaShem's Holy Torah ) and HaShem's People ( The Jews ) . " So ends the Shira of Parashas Haazinu . Moshe came with Hoshea ( Joshua ) and spoke All The Words Of This Shira to the people , to their ears that they might hear within . Moshe told them to apply their hearts to all the words that he testified to them that last day of his life then and they are to instruct their children to be careful to perform all the words of this Torah , for it is their very life and the prolonging of their very days on the Land which they go over the Jordan to possess it . It was On That Very Day , That HaShem Told Moshe To ascend the Mountain of Abarim Mount Nebo , in the Land of Moab , before Jericho and see the Land of Canaan That HaShem Gives To the Children of Israel as an inheritance . And then will Moshe pass away on this Mountain , With A Divine Kiss Of Love From HaShem Himself , just as Aharon his brother did . Moshe again asked to be let into the Land , But HaShem Said ' No , ' again reminding Moshe of his trespass against HaShem among the Children of Israel at the waters of Meribath - kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin , because Moshe did not sanctify HaShem among the Children of Israel . HaShem Told Moshe that he would only see the Land from a distance , but shall not enter there into the Land That HaShem Gives To the Children of Israel . HaShem Told Moshe , that in Moshiach's Time , Moshe would then rise and lead the generation of the Wilderness , into The Land Then . So ends This Holy Parsha . Isn't it interesting that this Shira begins with the word " Haazinu , " - " Give Ear . " Giving Ear , means listening wholeheartedly . What does listening wholeheartedly mean ? It means listening with ones all . It starts at the Ear and then goes throughout one's whole being coming deep into one's Soul , Straight From HaShem . Listening Only To HaShem , means that we must not listen to or go and follow anything else . Anything that humans do that is against HaShem's Oneness , is totally wrong . Giving one's " Ear " To HaShem , Giving one's total obedience Only To HaShem's Laws , closing off one's Ear , from listening to anything else , For Only HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah , Are True . If we listen closely , To Only HaShem and call on HaShem's Name Only and denounce all other beliefs , then will we Be Properly Tuned Into HaShem's Creation Of Heaven And Earth . HaShem Gave us two ears , so why is one Ear mentioned ? That is possibly because we must keep an Ear toward the one witness Shamayim Heaven and also keep an Ear ( the other Ear ) toward the other witness Eretz Earth and work to make them One , by making Earth a place That Heaven can dwell . This means using our body and soul to work toward making every moment on Earth , A Holy Moment Of Obedience To HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah , Which Is How Shamayim Heaven Is , An Obedience To HaShem At All Times , and then the two witnesses of Shamayim Heaven and Eretz Earth , Can Become One . This is one of the reasons we are here , To Work For HaShem , Keeping HaShem's Creation Holy . When we do this , it will be as though we are Listening with One single " Ear " and One Purpose And That Purpose Is HaShem . If we do that , then the secret of the Word " Haazinu " - " Give Ear , " will then show itself , for this word " Haazinu " contains the words " HaShem Az Yanu , " Which Means " HaShem Will Then Be With Us . " This is what we are also Here For , To Bring HaShem's Oneness Into Everything . When we " Haazinu , " - " Give our Ear " To HaShem And HaShem's Oneness And Follow Only HaShem And HaShem's Torah Commandments and when we remove all forms of idolatry , Thus Believing In And Following HaShem Only , Then HaShem Will Be With us And HaShem's Creation Will Then Reach It's Intended Goal At The End Of Days , With HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . We have just celebrated Rosh HaShanah , The Day That HaShem Created Adam Ve Chava And Put them Into Gan Eiden . How Happy HaShem Must Have Been And How Much Love HaShem Must Have For His Creation Of the human being , Into Which HaShem Breathed A Living Soul . HaShem Gave us This Beautiful Creation , For us to make Holy And Pure And To Welcome HaShem's Shechinah Into all things . If we take a good look around us and we see what we as human beings have come to , since those Beautiful Holy Days Of HaShem's Creation , we can all certainly agree that we have travelled far away From HaShem's Beautiful Wish Of us . During These Days of Rosh HaShanah And Yom Kippur And Succot and Shemini Atzeret , HaShem Comes Down Closer To His Creation , for on the day of Rosh HaShanah , HaShem Created man and woman And HaShem Was Surely Close To them then and at this time of year , HaShem Remembers that Closeness And Longs In Memory For that very Closeness again . So During These Holy days , When HaShem The King , Is In The Field , Coming Down Closer To us , HaShem's Creation , let us remember while we Stand and Pray Before our Beloved HaShem , That HaShem Is So Close To us Now And M we All Acknowledge To HaShem , our full selves , our full Haazinu - our full ear To Properly Hear HaShem And Give Over To HaShem , our full being , so that we can bring this Creation back to where it was headed , before it all went off the Derech Path That HaShem Had Set For It When Creating Adam Ve Chava . Let us take These Holy Days And Return To HaShem In Love aAnd Stand Up And Follow , from now on , Only HaShem And nothing else But HaShem , And Stand Up And Follow HaShem's Every Word In HaShem's Holy Torah , And Return To The Closeness With HaShem , That HaShem Gave us In The Beginning , And Finally Accomplish For HaShem , All HaShem's Hopes And Wishes Of us then , When HaShem Created Man and Woman And Put them Into Gan Eiden The Garden Of Eden . I wish Ever Most Eternally And Forever Beloved HaShem With Sweetest And Most Beautiful Everlasting Special Love , A Very Beautiful Shanah Tovah Umetukah With Forever Love And Thank You HaShem For All That You Have Done , Do And Continue To Do For us In Creation . Wishing You Ever Most Eternally And Forever Beloved HaShem With Sweetest And Most Beautiful Everlasting Special Love A Most Special And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With Deepest Love And A Beautiful Chag Succot Sameach Good Yom Tov With Eternal Forever Beautiful Love and to all of my fellow Jews , A Most Special and Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Beautiful Chag Succot Sameach Good Yom Tov with love . To all my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Blessed Shabbos Kodesh with love and Shanah Tovah Umetukah .

I dedicate this Torah Parsha writing to my beloved Grand - Mother Sarah Cohen a " h . May the beloved Neshoma of my Grand - Mother Sarah Cohen a " h Be Blessed By HaShem For An Aliyah In Gan Eiden And in Shamayim . Our Parsha this Shabbos is called Shabbos Shuva , which is the Shabbos that comes between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur , during the Ten Days of Repentance and the Shabbos Sedra that we read is Parashas Vayeilech and the Haftorah for this Portion is Hosea 14 : 2 - 10 ; Joel 2 : 11 - 37 ; Micah 7 : 18 - 20 . The Haftorah is very suited to this period of the Ten Days with a subject of Repentance that is very much its theme and also in the Haftorah is the Shofar mentioned , that we blow at this time of the year in the Jewish Calendar . This Parsha takes place on the last day of Moshe's life. The date is the 7th of Adar 2488 years after Creation . This is the date that Moshe was born , and on this date , exactly to the day , minute and second , 120 years later , was to be the day and moment of Moshe's passing . In this Parsha , Moshe has finished his speech to the people that covered most of the book of Devarim , just under 40 days , And Now HaShem Tells Moshe That Behold , his time had come to take leave of the Children of Israel . Thus Moshe says , that he can no longer ' go out and come in , ' not because he was physically unable to do so , for Torah Says Clearly later that " his eye was not dimmed and his strength unabated , " but he could not go out and come in , Because HaShem Had Ordered him not to do so , and Moshe found that his words to the people , were no longer able to be grasped , for he had become spiritually so high that he could no longer explain The Torah Depths to the lower level of the people . The time had come for the Children of Israel to go over the Jordan and now the time had come for Yehoshua Joshua to take over as their physical leader , but we must never forget That HaShem Is our All Time Forever Leader . So on this last day for Moshe , Moshe went from Tribe to Tribe to bid his farewell . Moshe related the battles about Sichon and Og and Moshe summoned Yehoshua and , before the eyes of all Israel , announced Yehoshua's leadership . On that last day , With The Miracles Of HaShem , Moshe wrote in one day , 13 Full Torahs, one for each Tribe and a 13th Torah , which Moshe gave to the Kohanim , the sons of Levi , the bearers of the Ark , to keep for a safe - keeping at the side of The Ark Of The Covenant , to ensure that there will always be A Torah that will be there so that any other Torah ever written will have Moshe's Torah to stand As HaShem Instructed It To Be , Word For Holy Word , Letter For Holy Letter And Space For Holy Space . Moshe commands that at the end of seven years , in the Sabbatical year , during the Succos Yom Tov , that the king of Israel is to read from The Torah and that all are to attend , men , women and even little children and the stranger in our cities . Though the very small children could not totally comprehend , as our Rabbi have said , the Parents could thus get kavod Honour for bringing the children and fulfilling this Mitzvah . HaShem Summons both Moshe and Yehoshua , And Has them stand in The Tent Of Meeting And HaShem Appeared In A Pillar Of Cloud And HaShem Tells us that after Moshe passes on , the people will stray to idol worship And HaShem Will Conceal His Face From us , not because HaShem Is Wanting To Turn Away From us , Chas Ve Shalom , But Because HaShem Is Pained At how we hurt Him and , as our Rabbonim say , HaShem Does not Want To Look At the punishment we will get , For HaShem Loves us And Does Not Want To See us hurting . HaShem Instructs Moshe to write the song of Haazinu ( in the next Parsha ) , to stand as a witness That HaShem Warned us not to stray , and what will happen if we do stray , Chas Ve Shalom , that if any punishments come upon us , it was fore - warned , for should we go against HaShem , we only have ourselves to blame . For when we do get punished , we as humans tend to ask HaShem Why , without always looking at ourselves . Now the song of Haazinu will stand as a testimony to how we brought it upon ourselves , by our own disobedience . So ends the Parsha . How interesting it is , that this Parsha is called " Vayeilech , " - " Went , " where Moshe went to speak all these words to the people . Usually a leader of other nations is one to whom people go to him , but not humble Moshe . Moshe cared so much for his people that even to that last moment of his physical life as Moshe , he was still " Vayeilech , " - " Going " out and serving his people . He was a totally unselfish man , even right up to the moments of his last breath . To the truly Righteous , passing on is not the end , but a continuation of the journey of True Life . Life in reality does not end at death . That is just ( in true reality ) another part of ' True Living . ' Thus Moshe was continuing " Vayeilech , " - " Going " on his journey towards his path of living in the form of True Spiritual Growing Living . Death is not an end , but simply a part of the journey of True Spiritual Life , to the next stage of Growing . True growing , is growing towards the ' Heart Of HaShem And HaShem's Will . ' If we look deeply into the word " Vayeilech , " the very same letters can also spell , ' Ki Leiv ' ( where Vav and Vet are interchangeable in one of the ways of Hebrew interpretation ) , which means ' Because of the heart , ' so whose heart is being referred to ? HaShem's Heart And Seat Of Emotions , as well as ours . So where was Moshe " Vayeilech , " - " Going ? " To ' Ki Leiv , ' Closer To The Heart And Will Of HaShem . So must each step that we make also be towards The Heart And Will Of HaShem's Wish ( not ours ) . Each step that we take , must be one of growing higher . If we remain Religiously and Spiritually stagnant , without growing Holier every day , we have not Truly Lived . Moshe , every day , " Vayeilech " - " Went " Higher and Higher Towards HaShem . That Is True Life - That Is True Living . So the fact that Moshe was passing on , was not an end to Moshe's journey , Chas Ve Shalom , but on the contrary , just a continuation of the journey that Moshe's Neshomele started on , at Creation . And now it was time for Moshe to continue on his Spiritual Growing Path . This is one of the reasons why Moshe could not , as Moshe himself put it , " go out and come in anymore , " for Moshe had reached as far as he could Spiritually reach in this present form . So the only way to keep growing , was to pass on to the next level of Growing Towards HaShem And HaShem's Will And Heart Wish Of Emotion . So is it with those we dearly love and lose . They are also on a continuing journey of Spiritual Climb towards HaShem ( as are we all ) . We know this is true , for so often In HaShem's Torah are those that are mentioned who are going to pass on , are mentioned as ' The Life of ' or ' Lived , ' as is the case with the Sedra of Sarah passing on , being called " Chayei Sarah , " - " The life of Sarah , " even though she was to pass on ". The same is for Yaakov Jacob in the Sedra that talks of Yaakov's passing and that Sedra is called " Vayechi , " ( which means ) - " Lived , " even though it was the Sedra of Yaakov's passing . This is the real way of a righteous person . Even though they are passing away , Torah still refers to it as ' Living ' for that is exactly what it truly is - a continuation of The True Living , that started at the beginning of Creation , where all of us are always on a Path Towards True Spiritual Growth . Our Matriarchs and Patriarchs knew this . That death is not a finality , but a continuation of The Journey Of True Life . The same is with Moshe . Though his time to " Vayeilech " - " Go , " had come , it was not the end for Moshe , but a continuation of his Journey Towards True Life . As HaShem Told Moshe , when Moshe was pleading With HaShem not to have to go , in The Torah , When HaShem Said " It is enough , " this also meant that Moshe had now done enough as Moshe and it was time to take the next step in Moshe's journey and continue on Growing in his next stage Of True Living , and do something for himself for a change , where Moshe had spent his whole life caring only for others . What a beautiful Neshomele was our beloved Moshe . So is it the same for every step that we each take in this World . Each move we make , is part of the journey . When we " Vayeilech , " - " Go out " from our own personal wishes and live only To Fulfil The Wishes Of HaShem , we too will be headed Towards Holiness . We are to rise above our own self-wanting self fulfilling desires that are of little or no worth and " Vayeilech , " - " Go out " from ourselves , only fulfilling The Wants And Needs Of HaShem , Creation's One And Only True Creator , Who Knows all And Is Totally Selfless . As we approach Yom Kippur , during these Ten Days of Repentance , let us really think about our lives and what will bring it True Lasting And Eternal Value . It Is Only HaShem And It Is Only HaShem's Torah And Laws That Will Put us On The True Path To Holiness . The Path Towards HaShem's Will And Emotions of Heart . Every day That HaShem Gives us , is never to be wasted . This World is our opportunity to grow . Its tests and challenges are there for us to become More Holy . At this time between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur , we need to really work on ourselves and ask ourselves , ' Are we really Spiritually where we wanted to be this year ? ' For the most part , I would imagine the answer will be ' No . ' Here we are on the threshold of a New Year , just a few days after the True Historical Day of Rosh HaShanah ( The First of Tishrei ) , On Which Day , HaShem Created people in Creation . Should we not use this period of time to reflect and do sincere Teshuvah and get this World back on track With HaShem's Will . Most definitely we must . Everything that Moshe did , had a reason , not just for us and for those around him whom he constantly prayed for , but even for his own growth . There is an opinion , that Moshe was the Gilgul of Noach . We know that for 40 years , while Moshe was leading us Under HaShem , in the Wilderness , Moshe was forced to continue praying for us and for our forgiveness . What was the deeper reason for this , where Moshe is concerned ? We find a deeper answer to this in the actions of Noach . When Noach was told That HaShem Would Send a flood to wipe out the people , Noach did not pray for them , but built the Ark , wanting to strictly obey HaShem's Word . HaShem Tells us In The Torah that the rain was upon the Earth for forty days and forty nights . How interesting , that this number 40 appears here , for Moshe too , had to pray for us and beg HaShem continually for 40 years for us in the Bamidbar - the Wilderness . So was Moshe really making up for his action as Noach , by this time having to continually pray for the people ? Sounds very deeply possible . Interesting , how Moshe was called Moshe , which means ' Drawn out , ' of the water , Where HaShem Protected And Saved Noach and his family from the flood waters . How interesting it is , that Noach's Ark was called a " Teivah " in Hebrew and the Basket that Moshe was put into , in the Nile was also called a " Teivah . " So every thing that Moshe did and had to do had a deeper reason . HaShem Is So Beyond our capacity and limit to understand and we see only A Glimpse Of It all . As our Holy Jewish Rabbonim teach us , we were told in Parashas Va'eschanan , that Moshe pleaded With HaShem 515 times ( the Gematrical value of the word Va'eschanan ) , to be let into the Land of Eretz Yisrael . If we take the year of Moshe's passing , it was the year 2488 from Creation . If we take the 515 times that Moshe prayed for himself to be let into the Land of Eretz Yisrael and times that number by 7 for the number of years in a Sabbatical year , we get the number 3605 . If we add the number 3605 to the number 2488 ( the year of Moshe's passing ) we come to the number 6093 , the date on which Moshiach is due to come and no later , if Moshiach doesn't come early , depending on how Obedient we all are To HaShem . Thus when Moshe was pleading for entry into the Land , something else spiritually was going on . Moshe was actually covering us all with his prayers right up until The End Of Days . HaShem Is Truly So Deep , that we cannot possibly fathom a speck Of The Full Picture . How interesting it is , that also within the word Va'eschanan , are the Hebrew Letters ' Nun ' and Ches , ' which spell " Noach . " Within the word " Va'eschanan , " is the word ' Chanan , ' which means Compassion ' and ' Va ' and ' Et ' means ' And To or Toward ' So put together , it means ' And toward compassion . ' Thus even though Moshe had prayed so many times and been turned down , HaShem Was Still Doing An Action Toward Compassion , Both For Moshe's Spiritual Growth And For us all , in Moshe having then prayed for us till The End Of Time . Oh HaShem , How Mighty And Powerful And How Wise And Merciful Thou Art . So every " Vayeilech " - " Going " that we do , has a reason in the scheme of things , a reason that we cannot possibly understand right now . But every step that we take in " Going , " is a continuation of our True Life Towards HaShem . Whether it is the Passing of the Neshoma Soul To The Next Phase Or Level , or whether it is Going On with each step of life every day , Each Step Towards HaShem Is A Climb Of Destiny Towards HaShem And HaShem's Pathway Towards The End Of Days And The Destination Of HaShem's Creation . So we Must all Have Full Faith And Emunah In HaShem , for every step that we take In The Direction Of HaShem's Holiness And HaShem's Holy Torah , Is A Step Closer To our Beloved HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Forever Eternally Most Beloved And Beautiful HaShem With Utmost Sweetest Eternal And Forever Love , A Truly Sweet And Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With So Much Deep Everlasting Forever Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Very Sweet and Holy Shabbos Kodesh With Love and to my fellow Jews , A Meaningful Fast on Yom Kippur . May we all Come To HaShem Only And HaShem's Torah Commandments and may we all be Inscribed For HaShem's Holy Good .

Our Shabbos Parsha Sedra this Shabbos is Parashas Nitzavim and this Shabbos comes just before Rosh HaShanah . The Haftorah for this Parsha is the last of the Haftorahs of consolation since Tisha B'Av that is from Yeshayahu Isaiah 61 : 10 - 63 : 9 . In this Parsha , Moshe's almost 40 days discourse ends and this Parsha takes place on the last day that our beloved Moshe was with us at that time . May HaShem Bless our beloved Moshe's Very Holy Neshomele Eternally And Forever In Gan Eiden And To The Eternal Heights Of Shamayim With HaShem . Moshe starts this Parsha by saying , " Atem Nitzavim Hayom Kulchem Lifnei HaShem Elokeichem " - " You are standing today all of you before HaShem , your G-D ," to renew the covenant made with our Fore-Fathers , just before we are about to enter the Holy Land and just before Moshe is about to Ascend To HaShem and leave us . Moshe refers to us all Standing Before HaShem , Heads of the Tribes , Our Elders , Our Officers , Our Small Children , Our Women and the Proselyte , from the Hewer of Wood to the Drawer of Water ( these were the K'na'anim who had requested from Moshe to convert , but Moshe suspected their motives as they claimed to be from a far off people and because Moshe was aware that they were not sincere in coming to Judaism , he allowed them to remain as hewers of stone and water drawers for the Tabernacle ) , were all brought into the renewed Covenant With HaShem . Included in this were all Jews past , present and Jews to still be born in future generations - all were standing there that day Before HaShem . Moshe referred next , to those who may be standing there and not have their heart genuinely with HaShem , but may be considering idol worship , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Here Refers , Through Moshe , to a time when we would be exiled and when that time comes , we must know That HaShem Warned us not to follow idols . Moshe refers to the Blessings and Curses , and that when we are being punished , we are to take it to heart and if we repent sincerely , Then HaShem Will Forgive us And Then HaShem Will Bring us Back From exile , wherever we have been scattered And HaShem Will Punish our enemies who mistreated us through those times of Galus and we will Return To HaShem And Follow All Of HaShem's Commandments And All Of HaShem's Decrees In The Book Of HaShem's Torah And HaShem Will Bless us , when we Return To HaShem With all our Heart and With all our Soul . HaShem Through Moshe , Tells us That The Torah Is Always Available And Reachable . HaShem Foresees That there will be times when some of us will lessen on The Laws and make out they are not to be kept anymore , Chas Ve Shalom , and that they will try to change them and lessen on them , Chas Ve Shalom , So HaShem Prophetically Reminds us That The Torah Is not Distant , But That HaShem's Torah Is Very Near us , Within our Heart and Soul , So we Must Follow HaShem's Torah At All Times , Through all generations and Never Change in any way and Never Lessen in any way and Never Reform in any way , Chas Ve Shalom , All The Laws That HaShem Gives us And Gave us . They Are To Remain The Same Through All Time And Through all generations , and Must Never be Lessened or Changed in any way . There will be those who might say that The Torah is too hard to keep , So HaShem Says , " It is not in Heaven so we would need to say who will have to ascend to Heaven to take It for us , so we can Listen To It And Perform It , " for The Torah Is very Near us And Easily Accessible And Comes Down To us From HaShem From Shamayim , As HaShem Already Brought It Down To us On Har Sinai , So That we Can Keep It , though even if It were still only in Heaven , we would be obligated to Climb High To Reach It And Acquire It , just as Moshe had to do , when Moshe went up the Mountain to win against the Angels attempts to prevent him bringing It down to us. HaShem Put The Torah directly in front of us, So That we Can Follow And Keep It All . HaShem Through Moshe Tells us That It Is Not across the Sea , that we should say who will go to the other side of the sea to take It for us so that we may listen to It and perform It ," although if It was , It would be our obligation to travel anywhere To Attain It and Keep It . The Torah Is Not across the sea , which refers also to That HaShem's Laws Are Not found in the beliefs of the other nations . HaShem's Laws Are Only Within HaShem's Torah Gift That HaShem Gave To us . And So we Must Listen To It And Perform It . For HaShem Says " Rather , the matter is very near to you - in your mouth and your heart - to perform It . " HaShem's Torah Is Within us To Keep It Always . It is interesting that the letters in the words in Hebrew for " in your mouth and your heart ," - " B'ficha U'vilvavcha ," number ten letters , like The Ten Commandments And like The Ten Pronouncements That HaShem Uttered To Create Creation . Thus , In Keeping HaShem's Words And Commandments in our mouth and heart and fulfilling HaShem's Commandments to do them , we are also fulfilling The Ten Commandments and most importantly , fulfilling HaShem's Wish For Creation . The word " La'asoto , " - " To perform it , " ( The Torah And Commandments Of HaShem ) that comes after " in your mouth and in your heart , " Teaches us That HaShem Does Not Just Want us to keep It in our mouth and heart , but It Must fulfil It's Purpose , by us " La'asoto , " - " Performing It , " and thus must we become The Torah In Doing All The Laws . HaShem Again Reminds us that we have a choice To Follow HaShem And Be Blessed , or to stray , Chas Ve Shalom , And Be Punished . HaShem Calls Heaven And Earth , as the two witnesses needed for seeing that we Keep The Laws , for as we know the witnesses must be the first to punish the perpetrator and this means that if we disobey , then the Earth Will Be Called Upon to punish us , through withholding The Goodness That HaShem Has Blessed the Earth With , to give us and so we will be Brought To Account By HaShem , through the Earth , in the form of the physical things on the Earth That HaShem Gave To the Earth , being withheld , and The Heaven and its host of Malachim and other entities From HaShem , Will Be Called Upon , to bring us Punishment From HaShem , but if we Hearken To The Voice Of HaShem Our G-D , the Earth Will Be Blessed By HaShem , Who Will Bless us abundantly Through the Earth From HaShem , and the Heaven From HaShem , will open itself up to us for a Sweet and Peaceful Holy stay in Shamayim , if we will only Love HaShem and Listen To HaShem's Voice And Cleave To HaShem , Who " Is your ( our ) life and the length of your ( our ) days , to dwell upon the land That HaShem Swore To your ( our ) Fore-Fathers , to Avraham , to Yitzchak and to Yaakov , To Give To them . " So ends the Parsha . We note how in this Parsha , Moshe refers to us all standing together even as single units together and so , our Rabbis tell us that this verse is phrased this way so as to institute a common responsibility from then on , that the actions of one Jew , will now affect the rest of our nation , that if one Jew sins , it will affect the punishment of other Jews , for we are now all standing together as one . Thus , if one Jew lessens on Torah Mitzvos , it will affect other Jews , even far away . All Jews from that point on , now have a common ' Aravus ' - ' Responsibility , ' for their fellow Jew . Thus a Jew cannot say that he or she will lessen on The Laws and that it won't affect other Jews , because it will . It is like the example of five men on a boat and if one man says that he will drill a hole under his own seat and that it won't affect the other four , how wrong he is , for he will cause his other peers to drown . The same works the other way , that if Jews Daven Pray together in Minyonim , we thus stand as a collective , And So HaShem Judges us all as a whole and the merits of our fellow Jews can also lift us up and help us . This is one of the reasons why we should Daven in a Minyan , For HaShem Scrutinizes more closely , the sins of the individual , unlike it would be , if the individual would stand together with his or her peers . The same is with the four Species in the Lulav and Etrog on Succos , where each one represents a different level of Jews , but when brought together , they become one and they uplift each other . This is a good thing to remember at this time of year , as we are about to celebrate Rosh HaShanah , The Day in Creation That HaShem Created Adam Ve Chavah , and so it is at this particular time of the year That HaShem Feels Especially Close To us And Comes Down Closer To us At This particular period of time of the year , in the Jewish year and true date and day of the year from Creation . As our Tradition Teaches , At This Time Of The hebrew True Year , HaShem , The King , Is In The Field , Coming Down Closer To Us And Wanting To Be At One With us All , His Beloved Creation . This is a very specific time , where we all " Nitzavim " - " Stand " as a collective and individual , Before HaShem For Judgement . So it is so important to go to Shul on this day and every day , for if we stand with our peers , HaShem Looks At us as a collective , And Sees our Love and Wish collectively , To Be Close To HaShem . I am not saying that this period of time should be the only time that Jews should go to Shul , as that is not right . Jews should go to Shul every Shabbos and Jewish males every day three times a day in Shul ( where Jewish Males are Halachically obligated to time bound Mitzvos , Kiddushin 29a ' Mitzvos Aseh Shehazeman Gerama ' - ' All Positive Time Bound Mitzvos , ' where women are not obligated to Time Bound Positive Mitzvos ) . A Jew " Nitzavim " - " Stands " At All Times Before HaShem , in the light and in the dark , at Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur and also at every moment and day during the rest of the year , so we Jews mustn't only make an effort at this time of year , but we must make the effort at all times of the year at every moment That HaShem Gives us the breath of life . But as we know , this is a special time Where HaShem Scrutinizes His Creation more fervently . So important though is it that we must make an effort at all times to attend Holy full Torah Following Shuls and at all times must we " Nitzavim " - " Stand " up And Follow HaShem's Torah Laws . We must Stand up as a Nation Of Holy Torah and Take Hold Of HaShem's Link To us , The Very Holy Torah , To Lead us To HaShem . We note that in this Parsha , the word " Nitzavim " for " Standing " is used . Standing is usually ' Omeid ' in Hebrew , though the word ' Natzeiv ' also means ' Standing ,' but the word " Natzeiv " suggests a more upright kind of Erect " Standing . " So why the need for this more erect kind of " Standing " in this context . Taking the word " zavim " and looking within it , one comes to two separate words ,' Natziv ' and ' Tzava , ' which according to the Shimon Silberman Milon Dictionary , ' Natziv ' means ' to Stand erect as one commissioned , ' and ' Tzava ' means ' Assemble , ' thus how must we Stand Before HaShem . Straight and Erect With Respect , Ready To Be Commissioned By HaShem As HaShem's Representative , To Do HaShem's Holy Laws And Bidding And Bring HaShem's Essence Into Every Moment That Exists . But how can we possibly Stand Before HaShem in an Erect way and still Respect and Honor HaShem . This erect way to stand Before HaShem , is not in reference to a physical arrogant way of standing , Chas Ve Shalom . It is to be a Spiritually Holy and Righteous Erect way of Presenting ourselves Before our Creator , As Commissioned and Representing HaShem , Within Creation , Always Standing Before HaShem With Humility and Standing Up For HaShem At Every Moment That it comes up To Do So . We are , At Every moment " Nitzavim " - " Standing " Before HaShem , and so must we , At All Times Follow HaShem's Mitzvos And HaShem's Holy Ways , And Thus Must we Emulate HaShem's Ways , and so by Doing That within Creation , we will make Creation A Place Where HaShem Will Dwell Among us . So how can we " Nitzavim " - " Stand " Before HaShem , Being Worthy To Do So ? By scrutinizing our every action and making all that we do , Holy , so that we can make ourselves Worthy To Stand Before HaShem In Holiness And Love . And how do we bring this World to its Intended Result in Creation ? By " Nitzavim " - " Standing " as the Parsha says " Kulchem " - " All of us " together , all Serving HaShem Together as one , in Peace and Harmony . And when must we stand Before HaShem ? The Parsha says " Hayom " - " Today . " And when is " Hayom " - " Today ? " Every day , every minute of every hour , for every moment is within the day and every day is , at that present moment , " Hayom " - " Today . " At All Times are we " Nitzavim " - " Standing " Before HaShem . And so must we make ourselves Always Ready To Stand Before HaShem , By Being Holy And Faithful To HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah Mitzvos . And if we do this and are Totally Holy And Faithful To HaShem And Follow All Of HaShem's Commandments , HaShem Will Then Come And Stand Before us For Closeness And Love , And Creation Will Then Be Filled With The Light And Love Of HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Forever Eternally Beloved HaShem With Sweet Forever Eternal Love Always , A Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh And Shanah Tovah With Deepest Forever Everlasting Love Always and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Beautiful Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love and a Kesivah Ve Chasimah Tovah , Shanah Tovah Umetukah and a Sweet New Year with much love .

The Shabbos Parsha Sedra is Parashas " Ki Tavo " and this Sedra is a beautiful continuation of the last Parsha where , as I mentioned there in the last Parsha , " Ki Seitzei , " if one goes out from HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , one removes oneself from Brochas Blessings , but if one " Ki Tavo , " Enters Into or Comes Close To HaShem , then one brings oneself To Brochas Blessings , And Then one Is Sweetly Blessed By HaShem , The Creator And Source Of All Brochas Blessings . The Haftorah for Parshas Ki Tavo is Yeshayahu Isaiah 60 : 1 - 22 . This Haftorah begins by speaking Of How HaShem Returns To us And Shines Upon us , which is such a fitting Response From HaShem , when we " Ki Tavo " - " Come Back To or Enter Back Into " HaShem's Commandments And Love , And if we would all Come Back To HaShem's Torah , The End Of Days Would Come , May we all Do So And May It Come Soon In our Days . This Parsha starts , by telling us that when we " Ki Tavo " - " Enter " the Land That HaShem our G-D Gives us as an inheritance and when we possess it and dwell in it , that we are to take the First Fruits and bring them to the Place That HaShem Chooses , coming to the Kohein in the days that we bring it and making the declaration that is written in this Parsha Devarim 26 : verses 5 - 10 . This was such a beautiful procession that people used to make to Yerushalayim with their baskets . It was certainly such a special beautiful sight to behold , as the people coming , walked in procession , playing their flutes and lyres and singing along the way. They needed to be very careful not to stay within lodgings along the way , lest there be contamination within the lodging , as this could , Chas Ve Shalom , contaminate their First Fruits that they were bringing to Yerushalayim . There was even a special order in which they would pack their First-Fruits Bikkurim in the baskets . Chazal says that these Bikkurim comprised the seven species for which Eretz Yisrael Is Blessed With , By HaShem , which are Grapes , Figs , Pomegranates , Dates , Wheat , Barley and Olives . As the procession neared a city , people in that city would joyously go out to welcome the travellers as they passed by , with songs and dances and blessings . This would take place from city to city , until the procession arrived at the outskirts of Yerushalayim , when people from the Holy City would go out in lines to welcome them . When the travellers would come to The Temple , they were to make the declaration as stated , before the Kohein , and so , give their Bikkurim And Thank HaShem For Watching Over us And For Making us a great and populous nation , And Hearing our afflictions And For Taking us Out of Mitzrayim With a Strong Hand And An Outstretched Arm , With Great Awesomeness And With Signs And Wonders And Bringing us to Eretz Yisrael And Giving us This Land , a Land that flows with Milk and Honey and so , with these beautiful processions , we could Thank HaShem For All HaShem's Bounty And HaShem's Holy Goodness , when we would bring the Bikkurim of our Land That HaShem Gave us . The Laws of bringing Bikkurim , was such a holy concept , for like Judaism that it is a part of , it teaches how all things Come From HaShem And How HaShem Comes First , In all things , where a farmer who waited years for his crops and fruits to grow , as soon as it does and the first of the fruits blossom , he ties a ribbon around the branch to designate that blossom fruit as " First Fruit " and so puts his own wants aside and long wait for the fruit to grow , And Remembers HaShem First , To Whom Is Due the First Fruits Of his Brochas Blessings From HaShem . The travellers would spend the night in Yerushalayim and so take in The Holiness of The Temple Surroundings , the Avodah Work of the Kohanim And The Holiness Of The Holy City . HaShem Then Speaks Of Ma'aser Tithes and the declaration made when giving Ma'aser . HaShem Wants us To Be With Him , Inseparable From Him , and thus must we be forever Holy , Keeping HaShem's Commandments And Statutes Always And Forever Walking In HaShem's Ways , Observing HaShem's Decrees , HaShem's Commandments And HaShem's Statutes And Hearkening To HaShem's Voice . HaShem Distinguished us to be for Him , a treasured people , As HaShem Spoke To us , us Observing His Commandments , For HaShem Made us supreme over all the nations That HaShem Made ( Devarim Deuteronomy 26 : 19 ) , for praise , for renown and for splendour and so that we " will be a holy people to HaShem , our G-D , As HaShem Spoke . " HaShem Then Commands That when we go over the Jordan , we are to set up large stones and coat them with plaster and upon these stones , HaShem Commanded That we put on the stones , all the words of this Torah . That was quite a miracle , for to fit the entire Torah on these stones , was only a feat That HaShem Could Accomplish . Our Rabbonim discuss this point in detail and some think that it was The Taryag Mitzvos , the enumeration of The 613 Commandments Of The Torah that were put on these stones . Other Rabbonim think that it may have been the Blessings and the Curses that are still to follow in this Parsha . But With HaShem , all things Are Possible and so , if Moshe was Commanded that all the words of this Torah were to be inscribed on the stones , Then HaShem Would Make It Possible That The Entire Holy Torah Could Be Inscribed Upon Them . And So As HaShem Commanded That When we entered The Holy Land under the leadership of Yehoshuah Joshua With Help From HaShem , after we went over the Jordan , Yehoshuah Joshua obeyed HaShem and This Commandment was carried out , and so these stones stood as a testimony that who ever enters The Land of Israel is to Strictly Keep HaShem's Holy Torah And Every Commandment Within It , for these stones were put at the entry into Israel . Israel is to forever be a Land where its inhabitants keep The Holy Torah . That Is What HaShem Commands and we are to put our own feelings and wishes and wants aside and we are all To Listen And Do As HaShem Wants And Commands . Our Rabbonim say that The Torah was also on these stones , put in all the 70 languages of the nations , so that they too could follow HaShem's Word and know that staying in the Holy Land , meant strictly adhering To HaShem's Forever Unchanging Laws . Some of the people from the other nations came to view these stones at the time , and even copied or noted down The Laws written on them , For HaShem Tells us That His Laws Are Forever and all those who want To Be Faithful To HaShem , Need To Abide By HaShem's Wish . Our Rabbis teach us that these stones were coated with plaster just in case the other nations may come and try to change the Laws that were inscribed on them . It Is Only To HaShem And To HaShem's Voice That we Are To Hearken To And It Is Only HaShem's Laws And Commandments And Decrees That we Are To Obey . HaShem Then Commands That when we enter The Land of Eretz Yisrael , that we are to stand Six Tribes on Mount Gerizim to bless the people and Six Tribes on Mount Eival , standing for the curse , while the Levites remain down in the valley in between these two Mountains at the entry into Eretz Yisrael and the Levites shall speak up and say to both the set of Six Tribes , those proclamations that are in The Holy Torah and the Tribes are to repeat the words written here in this section of The Torah , which was first said as a Blessing for those that keep the verse mentioned , and then said as an " Accursed , " for those who do not . Our Rabbonim teach us that these specific Blessings and Curses mentioned are those that tend to be very easy to commit as Aveirahs and that also these specific ones mentioned are also those Aveirahs that can be committed in secret , That Only HaShem Would Know of , And Seeing As Only HaShem Knows All , HaShem Would Thus Bring About the Blessing for upholding these and the punishment for breaking these . So every one of us by doing this process That HaShem Commanded when entering the Land , has thus acknowledged To HaShem , That we know That we Will Be Blessed By HaShem For Keeping HaShem's Commandments , and bring down upon ourselves a curse , should we stray , Chas Ve Shalom , From HaShem And HaShem's Commandments . It is after this section of this Parasha , That HaShem Mentions all the Brochas Blessings that will come upon us if we Hearken To HaShem And HaShem's Commandments , and the Tochachah Admonitions, lest we do not listen To HaShem And HaShem's Commandments . The more we do not listen To HaShem , the more becomes our punishment , for the further away that we travel From HaShem , the colder we spiritually make ourselves and the further away we go From HaShem's Blessings And Protection . Therefore it is we ourselves that bring about the curse that comes by the path that goes away From HaShem's Commandments And Ways . We note that in history , so many of these Tochachah have taken place , and a lot of them took place at the time of Rome , when Rome came upon us after our kings strayed for generations before that . HaShem Brought Upon us , at that time , the result of our negative choices , even though it was us ourselves by our own disobedience and actions , that took us away From HaShem's Loving Protection . But even though we wrong HaShem And HaShem Sends us punishments , within each punishment , even though we would Get Greater Protection From HaShem if we would not stray , With HaShem's Merciful Love Always , there is a hidden Blessing even in our hardship and punishment , for in our exile as Jews , we can never be totally destroyed by our enemies , for when we are scattered , we can never be destroyed by a nation's antisemitism , For With HaShem's Help Always , we Jews survive there and elsewhere . We must also always remember that in our punishment , we get to atone for what we have so very wrongly done and hopefully still get the opportunity to work off our Aveirahs and learn to be more Obedient servants Of our Beloved HaShem , And So Be Redeemed , At The Eternal End Of Days . HaShem , With Moshe , Ends The Parsha reminding us of how we have seen everything That HaShem Did Before our eyes In Mitzrayim To Par'o Pharaoh and all of Pharaoh's servants and land , And All The Miracles That HaShem Performed , And How HaShem Had Moshe lead us for forty years in Bamidbar , the Wilderness , And Miraculously From HaShem , how our garment did not wear out and nor did our shoes from on our feet , and how we arrived at this place where Moshe is speaking , on the borders of The Holy Land , And How HaShem Saved us From Sichon and Og , And How HaShem Gave us their land as an inheritance to the Reubenite , the Gadite and to half the Tribe of the Manassite . HaShem Through Moshe Ends this Sedra by saying , " You shall observe the words of this Covenant , so that you will succeed in all that you do . " This is the secret to life , To Observe Forever , HaShem's Covenant And Laws Forever , no matter how many others try to falsely persuade us that things have changed , Chas Ve Shalom , they have not . The Laws Of HaShem , The Torah Of HaShem , Is Forever And Ever , Never To Change Devarim Deuteronomy 6 : 1 - 3 , 24 - 25 ; 12 : 28 ; 32 : 45 - 47 ; 30 : 10 - 20 ; 5 : 29 ; Shemos Exodus 19 : 5 - 6 ; Bereishis Genesis 26 : 4 - 5 ; Mishlei Proverbs 29 : 18 ; Tehillim Psalms 119 ; Yeshayahu Isaiah 40 : 8 and Tehillim Psalms 119 : 155 And Throughout HaShem's Holy Torah , HaShem Gives us Laws And Tells us That These Laws Are Forever . You Shall not add to or subtract From HaShem's Holy Torah in any way . It Is Holy And Complete As It Is - Devarim Deuteronomy 13 : 1 . So ends The Parsha . As our previous Parsha and this Parsha teaches us , to go out from " Ki Seitzei / Teitzei " HaShem , Is To Bring Upon us a lack of Brochas , but To Come Into And Come Closer To , Entering Into HaShem's Ways , " Ki Savo / Ki Tavo , " Brings With It , Bountiful Brochas . So we are reminded of the choice put before us , that the last few Holy Parashas have been teaching us . There is always a choice . If we Follow HaShem , we Receive HaShem's Beautiful Blessings , but if we choose to turn away From HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , we are denied His Beautiful Bountiful Blessings . HaShem Is Totally Fair . This Choice Has Been Given To us By HaShem , Since The Beginning Of Creation , When HaShem Created Heaven and Earth , a place For HaShem's Bountiful Blessings - Heaven and a place of test and to earn Blessings , where on Earth , we get to choose positive or negative ways to live . The Choice is always before us - just like it was for Adam Ve Chavah to either Listen To HaShem and receive Shamayim Heaven or to disobey HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , and so , get punished and go into exile , further away From HaShem's Closeness , which is Earth . This choice From HaShem has always been with us since the Beginning . This choice was again clearly made to us when we entered the Land of Israel and had to stand on two Mountains . The very names of the Mountains show us this . The Mountain on which was for the Blessings , was Mount Gerizim . The Hebrew word ' Garuz ' means , ' Greasing , ' ( Zilberman Dictionary ) and can refer to The Blessings of Oil that gets put on certain offerings and as we know , richness and abundance comes from the possession of Oil , as we know , that Asher's Tribe was Blessed with Olive Trees and Olive Oil , A Great Blessing From HaShem . Oil , like Olive Oil that is sweet , is also like Being Showered With HaShem's Sweet Love . Oil is also reminiscent of The Holy Anointment Oil , which is as if to say We Jews , if we Keep HaShem's Commandments , We Are Blessed And Anointed Into HaShem's Holy Service . The other Mountain where the curses were responded to , was Mount Eival where , if we look into the Hebrew of this word , it spells ' Ei ' and ' ' Bal , ' where ' Ei ' refers to the ' Eye of ' and ' Bal ' means either ' Do Not or Without , ' and ' the Hebrew word ' Be'lo ' ( Zilberman Dictionary ) , for being cursed and not Blessed is certainly a reminder of The Things That HaShem Said To us ' Do Not Do ' and not receiving HaShem's Blessings is certainly being ' Without ' them . So here again , even on the Mountains that are peaks that would appear to be places that go higher than the Valley in between , where the Levites would stand , even these Mountains' names , give testimony To HaShem Telling us That if we Listen To And Hearken To All That HaShem Tells us To Do And Keep HaShem's Commandments , Then we Will Be Blessed , but if we disobey and not listen To HaShem's Commandments , then we will most certainly lose the opportunity From HaShem Of HaShem's Many Beautiful Brochas Blessings . We can choose to step Closer every moment To HaShem , or we can waste our lives by straying or doing our own thing and following our own wishes , and thus waste The Beautiful Holy Opportunity For Life That HaShem Has Given us . The Choice is ours and so is the result that follows it . So let us really choose wisely and never waste a single moment Of The Life That HaShem Has Given us , to grow into the Holy Creations , That HaShem Made us to be , And Forever Follow HaShem HaKadosh Baruch Hu , HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He , Always With Love And Faithfulness and thus do our part in completing Creation's Intention for us and so , Be Forever living Within The Everlasting Arms Of HaShem , in Gan Eiden and The End Of Days , With HaShem . Each of our steps that we take can either lead to Shamayim Heaven , or away from It , Chas Ve Shalom . The choice is and has always been ours . So let us make very sure that each step that we do take , Always Leads us Closer And Towards our Beloved And Ever Loving HaShem . I wish Ever Most Eternally Forever Beloved HaShem With Everlasting And Forever Eternal Sweetest And Deepest Love , A Most Special And Ever Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh With So Much Beautiful Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Most Special and Ever Beautiful Shabbos Kodesh with love .

The Shabbos Parsha Sedra this Shabbos is Parashas Ki Seitzei and the Haftorah for this Parsha is Yeshayahu Isaiah 54 : 1 - 10 . This Haftorah is one of the Haftorahs of comfort after the period of Tisha B'Av and Speaks Of HaShem Returning To us To Save us And HaShem Reminds us that we are not forgotten And That HaShem's Kindness Will Not Be Removed from us And HaShem , Our One And Only Redeemer , Will Eternally Show us Kindness And Mercy , as a Jewish People . Our Shabbos Parsha Ki Seitzei Begins Speaking Of the " Yefas Toar , " - " The Woman of Beautiful form , " where a Jewish soldier goes out to battle and while in the enemy's territory , sees among them a woman , a foreign woman , not of Israel , not a Jew , a woman of beautiful form , among its captives and he desires her . The Sedra mentions that he can take her for a wife , but certain things need be done first . It was the way of the nations at the time , to dress their women up very beautifully in times of war so as to attract and catch the eyes of the other army's male soldiers . HaShem Understands That at a time of war , a man's Yetzer Horah may be heightened and so , Mercifully Permits him a way of overcoming it , But At No Time Does HaShem Ever Agree With a Jewish Soldier doing this , for a true proselyte is one who comes to Judaism , For The Love Of HaShem , not for the physical-only love of a partner , as would be in this case at a heightened time of war , which is only a physical desire for the sake of physical reasons which is certainly not a holy and correct reason to become Jewish . We see that in this Parsha , the opinion of the " Beautiful form , " is only in the eyes of the man that is caught by what he sees And This Is Why HaShem Commands That when she is taken back to the Israelite Camp , she is to shave her head and let her nails grow , thus making herself less desirable , in the hopes that the Jewish soldier's desire might lessen so that he changes his mind about wanting to marry her for the possible reasons he may have wanted her in the first place , out of physical desire only , which is heightened in times of war and which will hopefully dissipate when he sees her afterwards , away from the war situation and with her less physically made-up appearance . This woman shall live in his house and mourn for her Father and her Mother for a month and thereafter be converted to Judaism and marry him if he still desires to marry her . But if he does not desire marriage with her , then he is to send her on her own and he may not enslave her or sell her as a slave , but he is at all times to treat her with respect . HaShem Wants us Jews To Follow His Laws and not seek out foreign women that will lead us astray to their own nation's idol worshiping ways . However HaShem Looks Most Kindly upon a true and genuine Ger Proselyte Convert , who chooses with full love , The True Ways Of HaShem And Full Torah - Full Commandments for a Jew in Judaism . HaShem So Much Respected the True Proselyte , That HaShem Even Put The Sedra Of The Ten Commandments in the Parsha of Yisro , who became a Righteous Proselyte . The case here of a " Yefas Toar " - " A Woman of Beautiful Form , " surely teaches us many lessons , that we are not to just judge by the physical , but to look deeper , because Physicality Changes , but the goodness within is The True Gem . HaShem , as I mentioned , Prefers that soldiers do not get taken in by Physical Beauty , skin deep , but rather that the Jew and the Jewish soldier Should Keep Holy , for the Jewish Army is to be unlike other armies , where a lot of negative things take place in some of the secular Nation's armies . The Jewish Army is to be different . The Jewish Army is to be comprised of Learned Holy Men , like King David's General and nephew Yoav ben Zeruyah was and careful selection would take place , as we learned before in Torah about how the Jewish army was spoken to , by the Kohein anointed for war and officers , before they would go out to the battle , for the Jewish Army Walked With HaShem Before them and was to be Most Holy . So such an action of the " Yefas Toar , " was certainly not encouraged among the Jewish Army . Our Sages taught that a " Yefas Toar " and the very action of marrying a " Yefas Toar " starts a roller - coaster of problems that lead to the very next Law Mentioned In This Parsha , the case of possibly such a Father who married a Yefas Toar , putting the son of the woman that was a Yefas Toar , before his firstborn son of the original wife , for he may have more physical desire for the new wife , and this then may lead to The Next Law Mentioned In The Parsha , the case of the wayward and rebellious son , who comes from the result of a " Yefas Toar , " marrying for physical desire reasons and not the Right Holy reasons and this could then lead to hanging and burial of this resultant rebellious son , so teach our Rabbis , who tell us that this is possibly Why HaShem Put these Laws one after the other in The Torah . Such an idea was certainly proved , in the case of the happenings of Dovid Ha Melech , who went out to war and in fact married a " Yefas Toar " called Ma'acha , daughter of Talmai of Geshur , who was the Mother of Avshalom and Tamar . Exactly As HaShem's Torah Teaches us In This Sedra of what will happen in cases like this , Avshalom rebelled against his Father King David , where everyday that King David would go and Judge the people , Avshalom would stand outside and turn the people away from his Father and it got so bad , that Dovid Ha Melech and his wife Bas-Sheva and their son Shlomo had to run from their own palace because of Avshalom , who even took his Father's Concubines ( as many concubines , as spear thrusts that were put into Avshalom at his death by King David's General , when Avshalom was running away and got his hair caught and left him hanging in a tree ) . HaShem's Torah Talks of Hanging , and so Avshalom faced the result of his own actions . Avshalom , who was a most beloved son of Dovid Ha Melech , where Dovid Ha Melech looked up to Avshalom at times , before his other sons ( like the Torah Parsha Tells us will happen ) , ended up hanging as he was riding away on his steed . The physicality of the whole story of the " Yefas Toar , " certainly came out in this happening with Dovid Ha Melech , for Avshalom spent much time on his looks and prided himself on his physicality , where he even became a Nazarite , not wanting to cut his hair , the very hair that ended up entangling him when he was fleeing from Yoav . The same physicality came out in his sister Tamar ( daughter of Ma'acha the " Yefas Toar " ) , who also prided herself on her looks , spending much time on her hair and physicality , which ended up attracting David's other son Amnon , where she was very over friendly with Amnon , beyond the Tznius of a part sister and the results were sadly very tragic , for Amnon wrongfully forced himself upon her at the end and so is the results of a " Yefas Toar , " - marrying a foreign woman just for her physicality . Such are the risks and dangers of going out from Holy Judaism . May we Jews all stay within the protective Tenets Of HaShem's Torah , Keeping All Of HaShem's Holy Torah As we Jews Are Commanded To Do By HaShem , And Be Holy Jews As Hashem Commands us to Be . In the case of the rebellious son , this is the case where the son becomes a glutton and a drunkard and shows by his behaviour , that he must already be of an age to become accountable for Aveirahs and such actions at such an early age , show that when he becomes an adult , he will very likely get worse and commit robbery and so he is brought for judgement . Also is mentioned are the Laws with regards to hanging and the Jewish Laws of not leaving a body hanging over night , for it is an affront To HaShem , Whose Image , HaShem Gives to each human being . HaShem Then In The Parsha Teaches how we are to respect another's property and if we find an article belonging to our neighbour , we are to return it to them and if they are not near , we are to keep their article in our home until they ask for it and then return it . If we see the donkey of our brother or his ox falling on the road , we are to go and help ease the burden . Our Rabbis say that if we come across two people we know and their donkeys are struggling and one of the people we like and the other person we do not like , we are to help the one we dislike , first ( the one that is a bigger attack on our Yetzer Horah ) . If it be a case of both people that we like , we are to help the one with the most burdened animal , for we are to be kind to animals . HaShem Commands That a man and woman shall not wear each other's garb . Such is an abomination To HaShem . HaShem Created each of us with our own special and specific roles in Creation and we are to totally respect that . Thus things that are known to be women's garments or of things women do for their own physicality , a man is forbidden to do , and women are forbidden things that are pertaining to a man . HaShem Commands About The Chok Of " Shiluach Ha Kein , " the Law of sending away the Mother Bird " And Then HaShem Commands us that if we are building a new house , we are to make a fence for the roof to protect anyone from harm . Such Is The Beauty Of Judaism , that we must not just think for the here and now or just for ourselves , but we are to act only in ways that always can lead to goodness and not act in any way that can later on , cause harm to others , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Commands us Again About our Holy Garments Of Tzitzis and then The Sedra Talks of defaming a married woman . Torah then mentions the very heinous crime of Adultery , for faithfulness between a couple , Is Very Important To HaShem , just like The Faithfulness That we are To Keep To HaShem . HaShem Even Compares the two as being alike , in the beginning of the Book of the Prophet Hosea . Faithfulness between a couple Is So Important To HaShem , That HaShem Even Allows His Own Holy Name to be erased in the test of fidelity and faithfulness , In HaShem's Law Of The Test of the Sotah . HaShem In Torah Then Discusses the Betrothed Maiden and the sanctity of Marriage and Betrothal . HaShem Cautions us not to behave like the other nations that at times married incestuously , And Even HaShem's Dislike And Law against the forbidden Marriage and those that come from it , Are Mentioned In This Sedra , Where According To The Holy Torah , Mamzerim may not ever marry into The congregation Of HaShem . Nor are we to ever let a Moabite or Ammonite male ever enter into the Congregation Of HaShem , as a Jew , for the Moabite men made the plot to entice the Jewish People to sin using the women , this wicked plan put forward by Bilaam ; and the Ammonite Men , never showed us a drop of kindness when we Jews were coming forth from Egypt and they never even gave us bread and water . Kindness Is To HaShem , Very Important , and a Nation that displays no kindness , cannot be a part of the Jewish People . Our Holy Fore-Father Avraham was known for his sweet trait of Chessed Kindness , constantly offering wayfarers lodging and even had his tent open on all four sides , so as to accommodate guests coming from all four directions , and Avraham would offer them a meal and have them Thank And Acknowledge HaShem The One And Only True Creator . Such is the inbuilt trait of The Jewish People . We are reminded to allow an Edomite ( our brother ) and an Egyptian ( in whose land we sojourned ) , in the third generation to allow them to enter into The Congregation Of HaShem . We are to keep our camps Holy and Pure , even of waste , to keep our Camp Pure , For HaShem Walks In The Midst Of our Camp . Should a Slave be rescued from his master and thus escape his master to you , we shall not return him , and we are to let him stay in our midst and not taunt him . Our Jewish women are to be Holy and Pure and not promiscuous , Chas Ve Shalom . They are to be filled with Tznius and Modesty . We shall not take interest from our fellow Jew , not interest in money or food or even in emotional ways . When we make a vow , we are to keep to it , whatever emerges from our lips , we are to keep . We are also to respect the poor in our land and as Boaz did with Ruth and those whom he used to allow to glean in his field , we are to permit them to glean and pick up the fallen stalks or left bundles , or unpicked grapes left after harvesting . We are not to mix two kinds when planting and we are not to mix wool and linen in garments ( The Torah Laws Of Shaatnez ) , and we are not to mix two kinds of animals . The mixing of garments among some of the other Laws are Chukkim , Laws that have a deeper reason for their keeping , a reason or reasons beyond just logic . Our Rabbis have put forward that a possible reason for the Law forbidding the mixture of wool and linen , may go right back to Kayin and Hevel - Cain and Abel , where Hevel Abel offered the firstlings of the flock , their choicest ( allied to the wool ) , while Kayin Cain offered the fruit of the ground - that which had already become overripe and that had already fallen on the ground , termed as fruit of the ground , being allied to flax linen , and so acts of generosity and selfless giving should not be mixed with acts of greed and selfishness . Also , the mixing of different species to make a new one , is very wrong , For The Way HaShem Made Creation , Is Perfect As It Is and with no more species needed in Creation Then HaShem Created . HaShem Alone Knows all that Creation needs , to be Perfect . HaShem Allows for Divorce And Gives The Laws regarding it and one that has divorced a woman , shall not after marrying another and divorcing her , return again to the first wife . A Husband who wants to divorce his wife , shall write her a " Get " - " A Bill of Divorce Document , " So HaShem Allows for Divorce , even though many other beliefs try and say otherwise , HaShem And His Commands , and no others , Are only What Creation Must Do And Follow . HaShem Is The One And Only Creator And Saviour , None Other Than HaShem Alone - Hosea 13 : 4 , Hosea 11 : 9 ; Numbers 23 : 19 ; Isaiah 45 : 6 and Deuteronomy 6 : 4 . One is not to take a Millstone as a pledge , nothing that is the man's food , for it is like taking his life , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Feels Very Strongly about kidnapping another person and the punishment for that , is death . HaShem Strongly Warns us against Loshon Horah Slander , Reminding us That HaShem Gave us the Tongue and Mouth to speak Words Of Holy Torah and Kindness and not to down talk and slander others , Chas Ve Shalom . HaShem Created the Creation Via Speaking And HaShem's Holy Hebrew Alphabet , and so Speech is there to make Holiness around us . HaShem Put the tongue behind the guard of the teeth , to keep it in check and so we must always watch our words . When we lend to someone , we are not to enter their home to take security for it , but must with dignity for them , wait outside for them to bring the security , and return it to them when the sun sets . We are not to cheat people and we are to always be honest to those working for us , native or proselyte and we are to pay them on their day . No man is to die for the sin of another . No man is to come to die for the sins of the World , For HaShem Tells us , " Father shall not be put to death because of sons , and sons shall not be put to death because of Father , a man shall be put to death for his own sin " Devarim Deuteronomy 24 : 16 . HaShem Forbids human sacrifices for the sin of others , for human sacrifices and ideas of a human dying for the sins of the world , comes only from and originates only from pagan beliefs . HaShem The One And Only Is our One And Only Saviour ( Hosea 13 : 4 and Isaiah 45 : 6 ) . HaShem Commands That we Not pervert the judgement of a proselyte or orphan . Torah Commands About Lashes that need to be given and the amount by the count , not a single one more . We shall not muzzle the ox in its threshing , which would be cruel to prevent an animal working around food and wheat , to prevent it from nuzzling too . HaShem Then Commands About The Law Of Levirate Marriage , where a man who dies childless , his brother is to marry his wife , referred to as the " Yevamah " performing " Yibum " , so as to bring up children in the deceased brother's name and if he decides not to marry her , a ceremony called Chalitzah - the Removing of the Shoe , is performed , for as our Rabbis say , he becomes like a mourner , not bringing up children in his late brother's name . HaShem Is Strict On The Laws Of Embarrassing another And On keeping strict fair weights and measures and it is even an Aveirah to keep such things in the home , even if they are not used to cheat people . The Parsha ends with a reminder to Remember Amalek , who struck down our rear weaker ones when we had left Egypt and were on our way to Canaan . HaShem Says " And He ( Amalek ) did not fear G-D . " HaShem Tells us this , for at the time when we left Egypt , all the other nations at least acknowledged HaShem's Miracles And The Power Of HaShem , but Amalek did not , making light of HaShem And HaShem's Miracles . It was only Amalek that put HaShem Down , as if trying to lessen The Value Of HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , which no one can ever actually do , for Amalek would like to try to completely eradicate HaShem from existence , Chas Ve Shalom , which they could never actually do , and no one else could ever actually do . Thus Amalek , is a direct attack to G-D Himself And HaShem Has Made It A Direct Commandment To us Jews , to Remember what Amalek did to us ( which we fulfil just before Purim , by reading these verses , for the Megillat Esther , is a true story of Amalek and Haman , who wanted to wipe us out completely But HaShem Turned it around and they lost , and we are never to forget . We are Commanded That Even When HaShem Has Given us rest from all our enemies all around , in the Land That HaShem Our G-D Has Given us as an inheritance to possess it , that we are to wipe out the memory of Amalek , from under the Heaven - we shall not forget . Had our first Jewish King , King Shaul - Saul , listened To HaShem and destroyed Agag and Amalek totally , we would have overcome them long ago , but now we will have to wait until The End Of Days , to destroy them , for their ' Sar ' - ' their defending Angel above , ' who is ' Samael , ' the Angel that tempted Chava Eve in Gan Eiden , will only be destroyed at The End Of Days . Until then , we are Commanded to wipe them out , wherever they rear their ugly head . May it come soon in our days . So ends The Parsha . This Parsha Sedra is called Parashas " Ki Seitzei " - " When you will go out " and these words so deeply and aptly say so much , for when we go out From The Protection Of HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah Laws , Chas Ve Shalom , we will encounter much strife and problems . The first thing mentioned is " going out to war , " so when we go out From HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , to foreign ways , Chas Ve Shalom , we will encounter war , of different types , strife and enemies will abound . We will then be enticed further From HaShem , Chas Ve Shalom , with their foreign ways and marry out of the faith of Judaism , and lose our Judaism , Chas Ve Shalom . This will surely lead to loss of our Land and possessions and we will become very wayward , drifting adrift without proper truth and direction , among wayward and rebellious people , who rebel even more against HaShem's Ways . And where will this eventually lead ? To hanging and death and burial . That is the result of " Ki Seitzei " - " Going Out " From HaShem And HaShem's Holy Commandments , HaShem's Holy Torah And HaShem's Holy Ways . Being enticed by worthless physicalities which lead nowhere . They have no long lasting worth and they disappear with the wind . Destruction is their only result and that is as clear as it can be . The following Parsha after this one , is called " Ki Savo " - " When you enter / Come in " And Speaks of the rewards For Following HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah And HaShem's Holy Commandments And HaShem's Holy True Path Of Holy Light . " Ki Savo " - " Coming in , " Toward HaShem , Brings us Light and Life , but as this week's Parsha " Ki Seitzei " Teaches , going out From HaShem's Light , Chas Ve Shalom , leads us to Darkness and Death and Destruction . How Clear And Beautiful Is HaShem And HaShem's Holy Torah . The Choice , HaShem Gives To us . As we learned in last week's Parsha and in the week before , in Parashas Shoftim and Parashas Re'eh , that we are given a choice to choose the good or the bad , To Correctly Choose HaShem , or to wrongly choose negativity and here in this and next week's Parsha , the results of our choice , are most plain to see . A Good And Correct And Holy Obedient To HaShem Choice , Leads us To HaShem , HaShem's Holy Light And Life Eternal , but a bad choice , leads us to war and worthless physicalities , loss of the physical Blessings That HaShem Blesses us With , like a Home Land , homes and rights , our very selves and our True And Only Path To HaShem , and a wrong choice sadly results in our complete loss of Life and our very destruction . The Right Choice Leads To HaShem's Sweet Holy Light In Gan Eiden Shamayim Heaven . HaShem's Holy Torah Is HaShem's Holy Gift To us . It Is our Lighthouse Home To The Shore Of True And Everlasting Light And Life . It Is our Passage Home To HaShem . HaShem's Holy Torah , just like The Clouds of Glory That Surrounded us and our Jewish Camp in the Wilderness , Is our Protection from the " Ki Seitzei , " - the results of what will happen if we Chas Ve Shalom " Go Out " From HaShem . While we were within The Clouds of Glory , We were Protected , but when we strayed , we left HaShem's Protection , and as happened to those hinder-most outside The Clouds of Glory , they were attacked by Amalek . The Answer Is So Clear And So Sweet . We Must Always Stay Within HaShem's Loving Arms And HaShem's Holy Gift Of HaShem's Holy Torah And Then Gan Eiden And Shamayim Heaven , Will Be our Final Home With HaShem's Beauty And Sweetness And Love , Within The Loving And Protective Arms Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Beloved Ever Most Holy HaShem With Everlasting And Forever Sweetest And Most Beautiful Love , A Most Beautiful And Special And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Forever Everlasting Love , and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of Creation , a Most Beautiful and Special and Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love .

The Parsha Sedra this Shabbos is Parashas Shoftim . This Sedra begins by instructing us to Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " in all our cities . We are now in the Hebrew Month of Elul approaching the time of year When HaShem Created Creation On The 25th Of Elul . We look Toward The Coming Of HaShem and HaShem's Moshiach . May HaShem Bring On The End Of Days in our days soon , as we work up toward Rosh HaShanah on the 1st of the Hebrew Month of Tishrei , by blowing the Shofar every day in this month of Elul except on Shabbos . It was also on the first of Elul that Moshe went up on Har Sinai and came down 40 days later on Yom Kippur with the Second Tablets . One of the reasons why we Jews blow the Shofar this month , is to confuse the accusing Angel Soton , for at this time , our minds must look toward repentance , for it was on the 1st of Tishrei That HaShem Created Adam ve Chava On Rosh HaShanah . Thank You HaShem For Such A Beautiful Creation . During This Time Period of the year , it is such a good time to teach about The End Of Days , Which Is HaShem's Wish Of Where HaShem Had Set Creation In The Beginning To Go Toward , had Adam Ve Chava not disobeyed . Had they not sinned , they would have gone into the Eternal Shabbos End Of Days straight away . May HaShem Come And Redeem us And May HaShem Then Let us step into Olam Habah The World To Come . This Idea is seen in the Haftorah for this Sedra , which is in Yeshayahu Isaiah 51 : 12 - 52 : 12 , Where HaShem Says , " How beautiful ascending the mountains are the footsteps of the herald making heard , " Peace ! " heralding , " Good ! " making heard , " Salvation! " saying unto Zion , " Your G-D Has Reigned! " The voice of your lookouts , they have raised a voice , together they shall sing glad song , for every eye shall see when HaShem Returns To Jerusalem . Burst forth in joy , sing glad song together , O ruins of Jerusalem , For HaShem Shall Comfort His People ; He Has Redeemed Jerusalem . HaShem Has Bared His Holy Arm To the eyes of the Nations , and all the ends of the Earth shall see The Salvation Of our G-D . " How beautiful will be the time still to come , May it Come Soon in our days when all the Nations will finally see that The Jews were the ones Who Followed HaShem Correctly and that all will see , from all the Nations , That HaShem Has Never Given up on The Jews And Israel And That HaShem Maintains His Covenant With The Jewish People of Israel , Children of Avraham Forever , and all Nations will see HaShem's Return To Yerushalayim Jerusalem , To His Jewish People And His Long Awaited True Salvation Will Shine Forth , as the Haftorah Clearly Teaches and Says . Such is the beautiful future of all those Who Keep To HaShem's Laws and Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " And Ensure HaShem's Commandments Are Kept Forever . HaShem Commands us To Appoint in all our cities " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " and they are to Judge the people with Righteous Judgement . These Judges are not to pervert judgement and are not to look to the Physicality of the plaintiff or plaintiffs before them , not to be swayed by a person's station or status in life , not to accept bribes , for " Bribes will blind the eyes of the wise and make just words crooked , " As Our Beautiful Torah From HaShem Says So Very Beautifully . HaShem Commands That " Righteousness Righteousness shall you pursue " and our Rabbis tell us that the word " Righteousness " is repeated to remind us that we are to seek Righteous and to do that Righteousness in a Righteous Way . We are not to think that negative means can be used to ensure Righteousness , but we are to , at all times , seek Righteousness using only Righteous Ways and never think that underhand tactics are to be used to make Righteous Ways and we are never to think ' Oh well , the end justifies the means , ' thinking that we can do wrong things to ensure a Right result . Never must we think that , Chas Ve Shalom . Righteousness must carry all the way through , cleaning the air , pursuing Righteousness by Righteous Ways and Means Only . We Are To Pursue Righteousness Using Righteous Paths And Ways . HaShem Instructs us To Appoint Judges in every city That HaShem Gives us and there are to be a minimum of 3 Judges in civil matters and 23 Judges in capital cases . There must always be an odd number so that there can never be a tie in judgement . The Judges , when they Judge , as our Rabbonim say , are to realize that they stand In HaShem's Stead and are thus to imagine that above their heads is a sword and below them is Gehinnom and that they are to Judge very carefully , fully and properly and honestly . Such is to be the case with each city That HaShem Gives us , for each Tribe . All Capital Courts are to answer to the Head Sanhedrin that consisted of 71 members ( like the 70 elders That HaShem Had Moshe choose and Moshe made up the 71 - Chabad source ) . Judges are to be fair and not look to the status of a man's standing in the community . All are equal . Dovid Ha Melech was so kind , that when a very poor litigant had to pay , he would afterwards take him aside and assist him , giving him the money he needed to pay his judgement , if this was a genuine poor person , but still he would Judge ever fairly . Witnesses too were tested , to make sure that they were honest witnesses and a witness who would lie to condemn another person wrongly , would receive the same punishment as the one that he was trying to falsely condemn , would have received , had this false witness's testimony been accepted . Shlomo HaMelech , when he would go to Judge , would have six steps going up to his Judging seat and as he would walk up each step , he would recite aloud , The Torah Injunctions That HaShem Gave for a Righteous Judge . At times he would have a sword brought into the Court where he sat and it would be there to remind him of the weight that would be upon his head , that he must judge honestly , righteously and fairly , According To HaShem's Dictates . At times , he would keep this sword across his lap and hold the handle with one hand and the sword blade with the other , to keep him alert to the sharp end that is like the sensitivity he must display in judging . Near him , would be A Scroll Of HaShem's Holy Torah , which would at times be in his hands , to remind him Of The Holiness Of HaShem , For Whom , he was standing For . Dovid Hamelech , when he would go out on his horse , would always carry a Torah Scroll on him , so as to Carry HaShem With him , wherever he went . Such was also The Torah Law . HaShem Commands That also " Shotrim " - " Officers " be appointed , to ensure that the Laws Are Kept . HaShem Commands us never to plant an idolatrous tree ( which is what the nations who worshiped idols used to put near their places of idol worship ) , or any tree near The Altar Of HaShem and so , no tree was ever to be found in the vicinity of The Holy Temples . Nor are we ever to put up a pillar there , as the nations who worshiped their idols would put , for they would pour their idol worshiping pagan libations on it . So we were forbidden to put such things . HaShem Instructs That when we bring an Offering To HaShem , it is not to have a blemish , for this is an abomination To HaShem . HaShem Makes Clear , the punishment of anyone who is an idol worshiper , which is Evil In The Eyes Of HaShem . By the testimony of two or three witnesses , shall such an idol worshiper be put to death , the hands of the witnesses who witnessed the idol worship act , shall be the first to take action against the idol worshiper who has been judged so and then the hands of the entire people afterwards to also carry out the punishment , for we are to destroy the evil from our midst . Each Jew is to stand up in this World , even if they stand alone and work to correct the wrongs they are shown . Each Jew , is to stand up and teach the World around them Of The Oneness Of HaShem and Of The Correct Torah Path Of HaShem . Should a matter come that needs a Pasken - a Jewish religious Decision given from a Rabbinical authority or Rabbinic Judge , we are to go to the Kohanim , Levites , or the Judge who will be in our days and get Judgement from them . Whatever the Head Beth Din Tells us in our day , in that generation in which we are living , we are to abide by It . We see here , How HaShem Has Given Over to our Rabbinic Heads and Dayanim , the power to make rulings And By And According To HaShem , we are to listen to them , to those who are of our Jewish Court Beth Din . HaShem Has Authorized Them to give Pasken - Decision on Torah Law , in our time . We are not , in any way to deviate from what they tell us , for to disobey them , is directly Forbidden By HaShem Himself , Who Gave This Very Law In HaShem's Torah Directly In This Parsha - Devarim 17 : 8 - 13 . The Gemorrah ( as told by Ramban ) talks of a case with Rabbi Gamliel and Rabbi Yehoshuah , where Rabbi Gamliel gives a Pasken on the date of Yom Kippur and Rabbi Yehoshuah disagreed and said that it was on the next day . Seeing as Rabbi Gamliel was the head , Rabbi Yehoshuah had to listen to him and so , when Rabbi Gamliel asked him to come the next day and carry his walking stick , something that would be forbidden on Yom Kippur and remember that Rabbi Yehoshuah thought that the next day was Yom Kippur , nevertheless , Rabbi Yehoshuah was a strict Torah Following Jew and so , he put his own feelings aside and did as Rabbi Gamliel Instructed him . Such Is The Holy Torah As Commanded By HaShem G-D Himself In This Sedra , that we are to listen to The Torah Leaders of our time - our Head Rabbis and Beth Din , our Talmud , our Gemorrah , our Mishna and our Holy Rabbonim . HaShem Then Foretells That the time will come that we will look around at the other Nations and see that they have a king and we will request that we too should have a king also . This Prophecy From HaShem did take place later on in years , at the time of the Prophet Shmuel Saumel , where our people requested to have a king . Shmuel was unhappy with us , for we Jews are not like the other nations that have a human king , For HaShem Is our King . HaShem Also Instructs us On How this king is to be . The king of Israel must be a Jew . He cannot be a foreign man who is not our brother . He may not have too many horses for himself , for at the time , the most prestigious horses were from Egypt And HaShem Did Not Want us to return that way . The buyer of the horses , would have to travel there and may want to settle and this was forbidden for a Jew . The Jewish King was not to have too many wives , who will turn his heart astray and the Jewish King was not to increase silver or gold for himself . Saldy , Shlomo Ha Melech did increase horses and wives . His reasons may have been to mean well , to make peace with the nations around us , But HaShem Knows Best . Shlomo , being very wise , reasoned that to keep good relations with Egypt and to increase his wives , as daughters of kings of foreign lands , it would help keep the peace with those foreign lands . But HaShem Is Wiser And HaShem Knows All , and even though Shlomo felt that he would not be swayed by their foreign ways and hoped his wisdom would be enough to keep himself holy , he erred , For HaShem Knows All . If only he had Listened To HaShem . So very sorry that he did not . The foreign wives brought idol worship into Israel and even though he personally did not worship their deities , the very fact that he allowed it in , was written as if he had participated in letting them be . His very own first wife was an Egyptian princess who , even though she converted , she still retained within herself the vileness of the idol worshiping ways of idolatry . In fact , when it came to the opening of the Temple that King Solomon had led to be built , his own egyptian born wife had given him something to drink that cast a very deep sleep on the king , who had at the time chosen to stop drinking wine till the inauguration of the Temple and this was the first time he again had started to drink wine , on his wedding night and so , when she had gotten him asleep , she hung a large black top cloth above the bed with jewels that appeared like stars and so , when he , in his semi-drugged state , partly woke up and she persuaded him that it was still dark and night-time and so he went back to sleep , while the Kohanim awaited him to come and open the Temple , for the keys to the Temple , he always kept close to him Due To his Love For HaShem and thus this time he had left it , like other times , under his pillow . When , after they waited and waited and still he never arrived , they knew that something must be wrong , but seeing as he was the king , they could not disturb him themselves and so , they called his Beloved Ima Mother Bas-sheva , to call her son the king and she came and woke him up . King Shlomo , though he was wise , did not foresee What HaShem Sees and so , HaShem's Laws Are Always There For our Protection And Must Always Be Obeyed And Listened To . Our Jewish History and Sources tell of many beautiful and interesting happenings of Shlomo Hamelech . One being the story of how Shlomo Ha Melech sent Benayahu , his very close friend to go and bring Ashmedai - Asmodeas , the son of Lilith and Samael , both not good Angels , before Shlomo , so as to tell the whereabouts of the Shamir Worm , so that it could be used to cut the stones for the building of the Temple , for no iron implement was permitted on It . The story concludes , with how Ashmedai , managed to eventually remove Shlomo Ha Melech from the city and how Ashmedai , the prince of Shaidim demons , changed his form into that of the king and took his place for three years and the real King Solomon , he put far away and no matter how many times the real King Solomon told people he was the real king , people never believed him . He eventually made his way to the City and told the Kohanim and those that were in charge of the king's affairs , to check the feet of the false king , who hadn't uncovered them to anybody for a long time , for the feet of demons are not like ours , and sure enough , so was Ashmedai exposed and held , swearing vengeance on Solomon for centuries , after Ashmedai , in the form of Solomon , had shown a worship of idols , to make it appear to have been the king , may Ashmedai and his ilk , be forever removed and wiped away from existence , Amein Ve Amein Ve Amein . It Is Always Best To Listen To HaShem And Not our own wants and thoughts , for though we may mean well , HaShem Sees And Knows All . HaShem Continues To Explain That a Jewish King must write for himself two copies of The Torah for himself and read it all the days of his life and keep it on him , so as to keep Close To and to be Forever Reviewing HaShem's Laws And Fear HaShem And Keep HaShem's Laws , Decrees And Ordinances and also that he not become haughty and think he is over his brethren , but rather to remain forever humble . HaShem's Holy Torah Then Talks of the Priestly Gifts And Torah Tells of not following false prophets , idols , idol worshiping ways , ways of the other nations who follow deities and man made sacrifices as deities and man false deities , or to burn the children to molech , divinations , fortune telling , astrology , omens ( lucky times ) or sorcery , animal charmers , or one who inquires of the ov or yidoni ( bones of a dead bird that the Nations used to place in their mouths and in a state of part consciousness , would speak things or omens ) , or one who consults the dead , for such vile things are abominations To HaShem . HaShem Instructs That He Will Send us Holy Prophets That Carry His Word . We are to Hearken to them . But HaShem Warns that a man or any creation , who claims to be divine , is an abomination Of HaShem . A man , who preaches anything other than HaShem's Laws , yet makes out he speaks in HaShem's Name , or makes out he is divine , HaShem Says , " I will exact it from him , " a man that dares to speak in HaShem's Name , yet changes even a single Law Of G-D , or who makes out the Laws Of G-D no longer apply , Chas Ve Shalom , or makes new ways or laws That G-D Never Gave In His Torah , or who speaks in the name of foreign idols , or in the name of anything pagan , or in the name of any other belief , that deceitfully tries to take away from The Oneness Of G-D , or from the fact That G-D Is Not And Never Will Be A human or come in human form ( Numbers 23:19 ; Hosea 11:9 for G-D Is The One And Only Saviour and is not and will never come as a man - Hosea 13:4 ) , HaShem Will Cause that false prophet or person to die . HaShem Tells us That we will know that false prophet is false , when that prophet makes a prediction and it does not come about exactly as that individual says it will , being able to be verified in the lifetime of those who hear it , to know whether it came true or not , so as to take it seriously or not . Such a prophet who is false in this way , is a definite word ( and proof ) , That HaShem Has Not Spoken Through this individual , for that prophet false , spoke with wilfulness and so , we must not fear the words of him . So Speaks HaShem The One And Only G-D And Saviour Who Is One Always And Forever Eternally , The One And Only Creator And G-D Of Creation . HaShem Then Discusses the Cities of Refuge and the unintentional murderer who is to flee there . Roads to these cities always had to be kept smooth and accessible and well sign-posted , so as to allow the person who is sent there , to get there easily and be in less danger from the ' Goel Ha Dam ' - ' The Redeemer of the Blood , ' the family member of the unintentionally murdered party , who may decide to chase the unintentional murderer . If there was no family member who would be in this role of the ' Goel Ha Dam , ' then the Courts would appoint one . But for an intentional murderer , we are not to pity him , but to Judge him and kill him and destroy the evil from our midst . We are to preserve the boundaries of our fellow , which was actually not kept during the time of Noach , which was one of the reasons for the Mabul Flood , where people would encroach on their neighbour's property and that encroachment would be just small enough , to be below the amount that made it a crime in those days , but it was actually still a theft . A crime is a crime , whether big or small . Conspiring witnesses to a case would be punished with the punishment , being that they would be ordered to see right , the one they conspired about , a life for life , tooth for tooth , hand for hand , foot for foot as the Court Judges , either Capital Punishment , or Civil Reimbursement . HaShem Teaches what we are to do when we go to war , how we must always first give overtures of peace and offer the enemy the opportunity to be at peace with us and live under The Laws Of HaShem , in our domain . A Kohein anointed for Battle - Mashuach Milchama must be appointed who is to talk to the people before the battle . Then the " Shotrim " - " Officers " are to ask who of those going out to battle has either built a new house and has not yet inaugurated it , who has planted a vineyard and not yet redeemed it , who has betrothed a woman and not yet married her and who is fearful or fainthearted , let these return home and not go out to the battle . The nations of Canaan are to be utterly destroyed , all the nations of the Canaanites , being the Hittites , Amorites , Canaanites , Perizzites , Hivvites and Jebusites , As HaShem Commanded us , for these nations' ways should never be followed , for their idol worshiping ways and practices were abominable . HaShem Also Instructs That when we go to war against a city and besiege it many days , we are not to destroy its fruit trees . Then HaShem Instructed On The Law of the Eglah Arufah , where a man is found murdered on the Land That HaShem Gives us , fallen in the field and we do not know who smote him . Our Elders and Judges must go out and measure toward the cities around the body and the city nearest , must take a heifer on which no work has been done and that has not pulled a yoke and it is to be pushed down a harsh valley that cannot be worked or sown and the back of its neck axed , in the valley . The Kohanim , the offspring of Levi , shall also come . All the Elders of that closest city , shall wash their hands over the heifer that was axed in the valley and state that " Our hands have not spilled this blood , and our eyes did not see it . Atone for Your People Israel That You Have Redeemed , O HaShem : Do Not Place innocent blood in the midst of Your People Israel ! " Then shall the blood be atoned for them . The Parsha ends , By HaShem Telling us , " But you shall remove the innocent blood from your midst when you do what is right In The Eyes Of HaShem . " We are a people from of old , even from the time of Avraham , of hospitality . It was Avraham , who always escorted a guest quite a way from Avraham's home . It is the Jewish Way , to ensure that our guests are escorted and safe . Thus the closest city to the body , shows that this man was not escorted safely out of the city borders , seeing as trouble sadly befell him . Thus , this man's safety was the responsibility of the closest city . So it is this closest city , who must perform this Law of the Eglah Arufah . We are a People Unto HaShem and great care must be taken with the Soul That HaShem Gives us , for all day and all night , we escort our Soul within us and so must we always act in a Righteous manner at all times , for we Carry HaShem's Gift Of Light Within us as The Most Special Guest Of All . So Ends The Parsha . HaShem Instructs us to appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers , " in our cities . We are partly Physical beings and so , need Physical Judgement and a Physical Officer to carry the work of the Court to ensure The Law Is Kept . We note that this Sedra Mentions " in all our cities " which teaches us that a city that is not under Jewish care , but under Gentile Control , The Nation whose city is in it , must according to the Noachide Laws , ensure that a Court of Justice System be appointed . HaShem Wants us , In Israel , To Have A Religious Court System , That Follows Strict Torah And That Has Torah Observant Judges And Officers , Both needing to be very knowledgeable In Torah Law To Uphold our Country According To Strict Torah Dictates . Transgressors of Torah , are to face the Religious Jewish Torah Court System and so , be Judged and taken to account , by Judges and Officers in Cases , According To HaShem's Strict Torah Guidelines And So , Says HaShem , will we then live and possess The Land That HaShem our G-D Gives us . But where should " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " start ? Do they start in the Court or elsewhere . HaShem Commands us to Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " in all our cities , but I feel That HaShem Has A Deeper Meaning Here . For Keeping The Law Of HaShem , does start with us , within us . HaShem Tells us in the first verse Of This Parsha To Appoint " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " " Titen Lecha Bechol Sh'arecha " - " Shall we appoint in all our cities , " but the words , " Titen Lecha Bechol Sh'arecha " directly means " Appoint for you in all your Gates . " So I feel That HaShem Is Deeply Telling us , that we are To ' Appoint Judges And Officers For us Within us , Within our own Gates ' and what is the Gate of the Soul , if not the Physical body . So I feel that HaShem Is Deeply Telling us , ' Appoint within yourselves , " For you " - " Titen Lecha , " that your Physical Body that Gates the Soul , be unto you , a Judge and Officer from within . So HaShem Is Teaching us That we must be as the first start of that Law of " Judge and Officer , " By Being A Strict " Judge " Of ourselves And Be our own " Officer , " That Ensures That we Keep HaShem's Holy Commandments . That is where it starts . Within us , for us . It is up to us to control the Yetzer Horah and so be strict in putting our own wants and opinions aside and be strict " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " - " Judges and Officers " and be a strict Judge over our own actions and choices , making Holy Choices and being strict to carry them out , like a Judge and an Officer of ourselves . HaShem Wants us to make The Right Holy choices . HaShem Gives us A Lot Of His Trust And HaShem Has A Lot Of Love For us . We should surely then not let HaShem down , Chas Ve Shalom . So we are to start within ourselves and make ourselves our own " Shoftim Ve Shotrim " And Always Keep On The Straight Path Of HaShem's Holy Torah . Then can we work outwards , being a holy example to those around us and teach them by example to be holy too . If we do this , we can be Holy Carriers Of HaShem's " Name " - " Shem " ( Hebrew word for name - pronounced as ' Sheim ' ) and we see this in both words " Shoftim " and " Shotrim , " for the first and last letter of each of these words spell " Shem " - " Name , " Being The Carriers Of HaShem's Holy Name , From Within us To the outside World , all working to bring on The End Of Days , The Time When All Will Shine With The Light Of HaShem's Name And HaShem , As our Haftorah for this Torah Sedra Teaches , Will Return In Love To Yerushalayim , May It Be Soon In Our Days , With The Love Of HaShem Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu HaShem The Holy One Blessed Be He . I wish Ever Most Forever Eternally Beloved HaShem With Utmost And Deepest Forever Everlasting And Eternal Most Beautiful Love , A Most Beautiful And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh With Forever And Eternal Love and to all of my fellow Jews and to all of HaShem's Beautiful Creation , a Most Beautiful And Sweet Shabbos Kodesh with love .
